Rencontre avec Fabrice Brion, patron et fondateur d'I-Care, une pépite wallonne spécialisée dans la maintenance prédictive des machines industrielles.
On présente souvent I-Care comme le "Dr House" des machines industrielles. L'idée de départ est à la fois simple et révolutionnaire: mesurer à distance l'état de santé des équipements afin d'anticiper les pannes et ainsi éviter aux clients de coûteuses ruptures de production.
Le spécialiste du diagnostic, élu "Entreprise de l'année" en 2020, compte aujourd'hui 450 salariés répartis dans une douzaine de pays à travers le monde, pour une croissance annuelle de 35%. Avec une valorisation proche du milliard de dollars, la société montoise est candidate au statut si convoité de "licorne" belge, déjà détenu par sa voisine Odoo.
Fondée en 2004, I-Care trouve son origine dans le mémoire de fin d'étude de Fabrice Brion. En 17 ans, l'ingénieur de formation s'est mué en entrepreneur à succès qui tente de concilier croissance fulgurante et durabilité sociale et environnementale.
"Nous vivons une double révolution, industrielle et entrepreneuriale", martèle le patron d'I-Care. Il enjoint les entreprises wallonnes à "s'adapter pour saisir les opportunités offertes", avant d'ajouter: "l'esprit entrepreneurial progresse en Wallonie, mais il ne faut surtout pas nous reposer sur nos lauriers".
