À la tête du département R&D de GSK Vaccines, Jamila Louahed travaille sur les vaccins de demain. Après son succès contre la malaria, elle a le sida et le cancer dans le viseur.
Quand on dirige un département R&D dans la pharma, mieux vaut avoir l'esprit ouvert et savoir prendre des chemins de traverse. C'est le cas de Jamila Louahed, une chercheuse de haut rang qui a l'esprit entrepreneurial chevillé au corps.
Chez GSK, c'est elle qui a orchestré la conception et la production du premier vaccin antipaludique, contre la malaria, couronné par le feu donné par le feu vert de l'OMS en octobre 2021.
Aujourd'hui, elle travaille sur la médecine de précision et la personnalisation des traitements, qui pourraient aboutir à terme à un vaccin contre le sida et certains cancers.
Jamila Louahed est également une ambassadrice enthousiaste du savoir-faire belge dans le domaine de la pharma et qui veut faire de la Belgique la Silicon Valley européenne de la vaccinologie.

The Brothers Ortiz
The Brothers Ortiz is the story of two brothers–both successful, but in very different ways.
