Speaker 1 (00:00):
Well, well, well, it's so good to be on Australian
Eastern Standard daylight savings time.

Speaker 2 (00:08):
I think that's how you say it, guys.

Speaker 1 (00:10):
I'm back. It feels so nice. I'm actually recording this
the day before it goes live. My life has been
so hectic, if you follow me on socials. I just
got done with Paris Fashion Week that was absolutely insane,
and then I flew home, and then I've had the
weekend and now I'm here. My life is like going
too fast that I can't even catch.

Speaker 2 (00:31):
Up with it.

Speaker 1 (00:31):
I've also woken up like really sick, which is just
like not what I needed right now. But it feels
so good to be home. In a way, it feels
really weird, really overwhelming. Like on the plane I couldn't
stop crying the whole time because I was like so
overwhelmed by the amount of shit I needed to do.
When I got home and I was like, Oh, You've
worked on this for so long, why are you feeling

(00:53):
like this. I think Melbourne just makes me so anxious,
which I don't know why. There's no good reason for
it to make me anxious. I'm feeling very overwhelmed, but
I'm excited to get back into routine, get back into life.
I'm trying not to put too much pressure on myself
because I'm like a little bit of a zero to
one hundred kind of gal. But I just wanted to
check in, say hi to you guys, and just say

(01:14):
this is the final episode where the episodes will kind
of be like this, and they'll be so much better
going forward. I'll have my team back, I'll have Blake
helping me in studio. I'm gonna have some really cool
guests on, and I'm excited to really knuckle down and
make this podcast amazing as to what it should be
and just get my life back on track. I think

(01:36):
Paris was like the best ending for it. It really
reunited my spark and my love for social media and
why I do that and just the crazy opportunities that
I get.

Speaker 2 (01:48):
It was crazy. It was absolutely insane, like a full blur.

Speaker 1 (01:53):
Going over with the Loreal Professional team as well was
just insane, Like I love that team group. We flew
over with fifteen hairstylists, so like the way that they
do it is just crazy. And it was just a
branch trip I'd never really expected before. Obviously, I've gone
on a few brand trips, but this one was just

(02:13):
so different in such a good way, and I loved it.

Speaker 2 (02:18):
I loved all of it.

Speaker 1 (02:19):
It was such an awesome way to end off the
trip on such a high.

Speaker 2 (02:23):
And then I flew out of Paris from there.

Speaker 1 (02:26):
The baggage details, I would like to formally let everybody
know that my baggage was fifty seven kilos across two suitcases.

Speaker 2 (02:34):
Not as bad as I thought.

Speaker 1 (02:36):
Didn't have to pay any baggage because I was so
lucky to be flowing business.

Speaker 2 (02:40):
And then I added twenty kilos on, so yeah, that
was all good. The eurostyle was a bit of hell.

Speaker 1 (02:46):
Just because no one helps you and it's like, well,
well humans here, like let's help one another. But then
once I sat on the train, I got sat across
from this woman and you like share a table. It
was a bit interesting, but she was a doctor and
she pretty much gave me a free therapy session.

Speaker 2 (03:04):
I don't know what.

Speaker 1 (03:05):
She maybe looked at me and being like this girl
needs some help. I don't know, but we sat on
that euro stuff like two and a half hours and
just chatted about our life. She gave me her number.
She was like, next time you're in London, I'll look
after you. You can come have dinner with my family.

Speaker 2 (03:19):
She actually lived in Perth for twelve years, so we
bonded over that.

Speaker 1 (03:23):
And then once we got off the train, she helped
me with my bags, which was absolutely like a godsend.
Thank you so much, Roje for helping me with my bags.
I really really appreciate that. It was so kind and
nice of you to do that. And then she walks
me all the way through the Eurostar and I was like,
don't worry, like you can like leave, Like don't She's like, no,

(03:44):
I'm gonna make sure you get in your taxi safe.
Helped you with my bags and my taxi and it
was just it was just heavenly.

Speaker 2 (03:51):
She really like was a little.

Speaker 1 (03:53):
Guardian angel that I needed in that day, and she
set me off on the right foot then put everything
back into place and it was just lovely to have her.
I then landed back into Melbourne on Friday night.

Speaker 2 (04:10):
My parents picked me up. It was nice.

Speaker 1 (04:11):
I went back to their house and just stayed because
it was like late. It was like two am at
that point, and I didn't have the keys to get
into my apartment and I didn't want to wake Lily.

Speaker 2 (04:20):
And everything up.

Speaker 1 (04:20):
So slept at Theirs and then woke up at like
six forty five the next morning.

Speaker 2 (04:25):
I'm incredibly jet lagged as well, by the way, guys.

Speaker 1 (04:27):
Like I'm struggling right now, but slept it their's woke
up like six forty five. I didn't really sleep on
the plane, so I was like really sleep deprived and
really tired.

Speaker 2 (04:37):
So yeah, I.

Speaker 1 (04:38):
Slept like five or six hours and then came straight
over to Lil. We caught up, reunited, so much just
changed like in the times that we've been apart.

Speaker 2 (04:49):
It was so good to just like to see each
other like catch up.

Speaker 1 (04:52):
Like, guys, this is the first time my housemate and
I and like we've been together for like living together
for almost two years.

Speaker 2 (04:59):
But about our whole friendship.

Speaker 1 (05:01):
When we first became friends, I had a boyfriend, and
then two weeks after I broke up with my eggs
and she moved into the house, she got a boyfriend.
So rude, kidding, but it's the first time in our
whole friendship, and our friendship would be maybe like four
or five years that we have been single at the

(05:22):
same time. So Summer and Melbourne ain't ready for us.
It's not ready for us. Really, it's just like so
good because like living with someone with a boyfriend is
so different to like both being single.

Speaker 2 (05:32):
Now we get to spend our Sundays together.

Speaker 1 (05:34):
I'm no longer gonna regret Sundays and hate Sundays because
if you guys know, I used to hate Sundays because
like Sundays is a single person who's just like dire.
It's really die And especially because Lily always used to
hang out with her boyfriend. Now we can rot together,
go out together, we rot together, we do all the
things together.

Speaker 2 (05:51):
We're like little sisters.

Speaker 1 (05:53):
I was gonna say she's the sisters, but we're not
scissoring anyway. Yeah, so it was good to see her,
and then I was going to actually surprise her because
like surprised me pe.

Speaker 2 (06:02):
We was so much fun.

Speaker 1 (06:03):
But she had like a really hard week and she
like called me crying one day and I couldn't keep
it in. I was like, don'orry, I'll be home next Saturday.
She was like wait what And I was like, I'll
be home next Saturday. She's like oh. But then we
surprised Nelly, which is the other girl that we used
to live with and I just walked up to them,
like Lily and her went out for lunch, and then I.

Speaker 2 (06:22):
Just like walked up and was like, hey, do you
have another room?

Speaker 1 (06:26):
And she's like gelemen, and she's just like so cute
and she's just like so easy to surprise and it
was so good to see her. And then I caught
up with Lucia and Claudia went and got a wine
with them on Saturday night, which is really good because
I was crashing obviously with the jet lag, but because
I had them, it like had to keep me awake.

(06:46):
So I went and drove over to Carlton, saw them,
and then I went to sleep at like maybe nine
thirty the next day, which is pretty good, like six
p forty five to nine thirty, and then I slept
all nine, which is good. And thenlast night I fell
asleep like seven point thirty, which is not good that
you probably shouldn't fall asleep at that time as a
twenty three year old, but it was really nice.

Speaker 2 (07:07):
I slept for like twelve hours. It was great.

Speaker 1 (07:10):
But I'm waking up a lot during the night and
like forcing myself not to look at my phone because
I think the second you look at your phone when
you're jet lagged. That's what's going to make you stay awake,
and I just refuse. I'm like, I know it's not time.

Speaker 2 (07:23):
To wake up yet.

Speaker 1 (07:24):
Stay asleep, Sam, That's what helps me. Like sleep through
the night is like, just don't look at your fucking phone.
Jet Lag is a concept that I am refusing to have.
I'm like jet lag from the time of like my
body clock feels out, but I'm still sleeping through the night,
if that makes sense. Like my body just feels a
bit of whack, like you've just got off a plane

(07:45):
for twenty seven hours and everything, Like you just need
to give yourself a bit of grace just to get
back into the routine of stuff. Like I've been away
for six months, so like I'm just giving myself the
next few days to do that.

Speaker 2 (07:56):
But yeah, I'm like.

Speaker 1 (07:57):
Very overwhelmed by the people I need, you see, and
you see my family. I need to get back work,
I need to do all this stuff. So like I
just need a few days. But yeah, I know this
episode is really really short and really really sweet. I
just wanted to pop on and say hello that I'll
get back into recordings this week and everything like that.
The episodees will be so much better. But I didn't
want to leave you guys hanging. I just wanted to
feel you guys all in and tell you I'm back.

Speaker 2 (08:19):
I'm back home. I can't wait to.

Speaker 1 (08:21):
See all my friends and run into you guys again.
It will be all amazing and I'm excited for the
next couple months.

Speaker 2 (08:28):
It will be so good.

Speaker 1 (08:30):
But yeah, I just need to give myself a little
bit of grace and give myself some time to get
back into things and get back into routine.

Speaker 2 (08:37):
I'm going to go to the gym.

Speaker 1 (08:38):
I just signed up to Saint Haven or Saint Private Club,
and I'm going to go there today. I'm editing my
YouTube video today and that you guys will all see
the bts of Paris. But yeah, next week's episode is
going to be really, really good. I have a really
cool guest coming on and I know you guys.

Speaker 2 (08:53):
Will love her.

Speaker 1 (08:55):
Please bear with me this week, and I apologize for
the short episode. Just wanted to check in and say
hey and yeah, I love you guys all so much,
and I'll see you probably for the first big best
episode next week.

Speaker 2 (09:07):
Love you so much. Bye.
