Speaker 6 (02:03):
All that circles A hate the Homies, A group be
laughing like it's funny, but they never got no money.
They my mind, but they throw me.

Speaker 2 (02:17):
I hate the Homeless, so let's get it.

Speaker 4 (02:22):
Popping man, the big homie Dion bron time saying this
coach Brian made the announcement that he was struggling with
bladder cancer and he just beat it. The matter of fact,
they removed his bladder and if you didn't hear it,
here's a snippet of it.

Speaker 7 (02:42):
So we proceeded with removal of the bladder tumor. It
showed a very acrossed.

Speaker 8 (02:47):
Backwards because you guys gave me options that scared me
to death.

Speaker 7 (02:51):
Get there, I'll get there, okay. We remember the tumor.
It was very high grade and dating through the bladder walls,
not into the muscle lair some we call very high
risk no Muslim based of bladder cancer. So we did
discuss options. We discussed some options of treatment in the bladder,
and we discussed bladder removal as well. Given his commitments
to his family and to the team, elected to undergo

(03:14):
a bladder removal. We performed a full roboticist at laparoscopic
bladder removal and creation of a new bladder, and I
am pleased to report that the results from the surgery
are that he is cured from the cancer.

Speaker 8 (03:28):
Give it clap, It's okay. Then Rick was aware of
what was transparing and he's been a one and down
there just a blessing came to Texas to see me
as well.

Speaker 9 (03:46):
But this.

Speaker 8 (03:49):
Was not an easy task because it was a changing
kind of a lifestyle and with Lauren and I covered
from Jackson.

Speaker 9 (03:58):
This is how many surgeries.

Speaker 2 (04:01):
From twenty twenty one is a surgery number fourteen.

Speaker 9 (04:03):
Surgeon number fourteen.

Speaker 8 (04:04):
I had most surgeries out of the game than I
did in the game, Like what is going on? But
they were so wonderful. You were such a blessing guiding
me to taking me through verbalizing every darn detail so
that I could make an educated decision, which some.

Speaker 9 (04:26):
Didn't want me to go that way. They wanted me
to go the other way.

Speaker 8 (04:29):
But I trusted and believed in you one one hundred percent,
and the process wasn't easy. Just like it was some
scenes that you saw all the bull drunk that transpired
on draft day, it wasn't just that, it was just
I knew as well I had a surgery coming up.

Speaker 9 (04:50):
My sons to this day don't know what transparent.

Speaker 8 (04:54):
I just told them something with my foot again, because
I wanted them to focus on making the team and
not focused on Dad.

Speaker 9 (05:02):
So they really don't. All my daughters do.

Speaker 8 (05:05):
And this joker right here much loved my son Junior,
who have not left my side since we found out
what was taking place, not one day. He's been with
me here, been with me in Taxis, been with me
everywhere every day, and I've seen his handsome face. And

(05:27):
I love you to life, son, and I thank you
for everything you bringing to the table. But this.

Speaker 9 (05:34):
Wasn't easy. Men.

Speaker 8 (05:38):
Everybody get checked out because if it wasn't for me
getting tested for something else, they wouldn't have stumbled up
on this. And make sure you go to the get
the right care. Because without wonderful people like this, I
probably wouldn't be sitting here today because it grew so

(05:58):
expeditiously I could say, but please get yourself checked out,
especially African American man. We don't like going to the doctors.
We don't like nothing to do with a doctor. You
know that.

Speaker 9 (06:10):
So I'm not just talking to the brothers.

Speaker 8 (06:11):
I'm talking to my Caucasian brothers, my Hispanic brothers, my
Asian brothers, my everybody, and my sisters.

Speaker 9 (06:17):
And that's all y'all get checked out.

Speaker 2 (06:20):
First of all, I am.

Speaker 1 (06:23):
I I applaud him for the courage, because if anybody
can deal with this and bring it out and face
it head on and use it as inspiration.

Speaker 2 (06:34):
Although everything that comes along with this, this guy is
still gonna be coaching.

Speaker 3 (06:39):
Got the catheter, now gonna be coaching is hard, dog.
He actually got a good thing. He got a bunch
of Hall of Fame coaches around him.

Speaker 1 (06:47):
But the point got the bag, the catheter.

Speaker 4 (06:52):
He's don't even gonna have to wear a dyeper pretty much.
And he's he's just you know, it's serious. We know
how serious this is, very serious. Taking it like, hey man,
it is what it is. Next chapter in my life.
Let's rock and roll, you know what I'm saying. And
uh so, kudos the prime for that.

Speaker 1 (07:08):
We're gonna see what happens on the football field as
far as the level of talent that this this is
actually bigger than football.

Speaker 2 (07:15):
I'm be honest with you, it's actually bigger than football.
So we'll see.

Speaker 1 (07:18):
I'm sure they're gonna use this is gonna be used
as inspiration or whatever will.

Speaker 2 (07:22):
That translate on the field.

Speaker 1 (07:23):
As far as wins and losses tell you the truth,
I can care less.

Speaker 2 (07:27):
You know what I'm saying. I'm just glad I'm brother's
still here with us, because.

Speaker 3 (07:30):
Yeah, that's something that, uh that people don't really recover from.

Speaker 5 (07:35):
And uh yeah, shout out to Prime.

Speaker 3 (07:39):
For keeping it private and not let I'm sure you
know the college new and his team new and people
who needed to know new. Uh, but way to keep
the public out of it. But we say a lot
on Get Up Mornings with Erica Campbell. If I'm going
through something, I'm telling everybody pray for me. I need
you to pray for me. I'm not gonna go I'm
not gonna have cancer by my self, dog at all.

Speaker 5 (08:01):
I want to be around.

Speaker 3 (08:02):
I want people who have recovered from cancer to come
lay hands on me. I want people who know people
who have recovered from cancer to come pray with me.
Like I'm not gonna be silent about something like that.
And I know it's some things it's private and a
dog you. I mean, we could have lost them a
lot of a lot of people.

Speaker 5 (08:25):
I won't say a lot. I'll use Chadwick Boseman.

Speaker 3 (08:28):
Chadwick was going through cancer by itself and he didn't
tell anybody. Any passed and we found out later that
he had cancer and.

Speaker 5 (08:35):
It was just you know.

Speaker 3 (08:36):
I just feel like it's things you can do. Man,
when you when you speak up. We have not because
we as not.

Speaker 5 (08:44):
I told you guys this when it first came out.

Speaker 4 (08:48):
I already knew what it was because I have somebody
that's real close to him that gave me the information.
But it's not my job to report on something like that.
To me, that's a private situation. So you know, it's
not about football. It's about a private a private matter,
and he would address it when he did. I knew
about it during that time, and even during that time. Yeah,
I'm not a big d on Sander's fan. As a

(09:09):
head coach. I liked him as a football player when
he played for the Cowboys and I went to forty
nine ers, especially with the Cowboys.

Speaker 5 (09:17):
But as a head coach, I don't like him.

Speaker 4 (09:20):
But as a person I was praying for him.

Speaker 5 (09:23):
I say that I don't.

Speaker 4 (09:25):
Feel any kind of feelinges for because I don't want
to see anybody go through that.

Speaker 10 (09:29):
He has how many kids, five kids?

Speaker 5 (09:32):
Yeah, I mean what they got to go through.

Speaker 4 (09:34):
I've had family members died in my family because of cancer,
and it's a it's a daily disease and it would
make me so mad. I somehow remember that movie I
Break that somehow does have a cure for it, and
they're just not telling anybody because the government making money
off of this. It would really piss me off and
have me going crazy because you could have saved lives.

Speaker 5 (09:56):
So I was praying for him, but as a football coach.

Speaker 4 (10:01):
He didn't step down, so he's free game as a
football coach, and I just they're gonna be like, well,
they're gonna pissy pissy over there. I'm not going I'm
not going to the bladder part, but I'm talking about
as the head coach, if we create on what he
does on the field. Yes, it is, because it's been
that way the last two years, especially with you rock

(10:23):
with me and you're going back and forth.

Speaker 10 (10:24):
So yeah, I'm gonna talk about it on the foot.

Speaker 3 (10:27):
Think I think it's gonna be uh, they gonna cut
him some slack and they're not at the same time
because if if you knew, I mean, really, it's too soon, man,
I mean I just said twenty four days.

Speaker 5 (10:42):
To college football.

Speaker 3 (10:43):
That's three weeks you recovering from bladder cancer.

Speaker 5 (10:49):
You ain't recovered yet, like you this man need.

Speaker 9 (10:54):
It.

Speaker 10 (10:54):
Will be fine.

Speaker 5 (10:55):
It would be fine if he step down. No, I
know what I'm just.

Speaker 3 (10:59):
Saying, it'll be Oh, it'll be well understood, it'll be
all the way fine if he You know who was
that coach Dave? You know something happened to him, but
he was still Oh. Remember when when Harball got suspended
and he was telling uh, he was telling more all
the plays, and we was like, we know, he's been

(11:19):
on his phone, like his cell phone the whole game.
Like it's ways that I think football would have to
take a backseat in my life.

Speaker 10 (11:30):
Harbar is a better coach than Deon sat.

Speaker 5 (11:32):
He won't be on the man.

Speaker 3 (11:33):
We not talk about coaching. I'm just talking about how
you can still coach and not be there.

Speaker 4 (11:40):
I think part of it is I think part of
it is the competitiveness of prime you know what I'm saying.

Speaker 3 (11:46):
Of course, it's that competitiveness killed boxers too. They still
think they can box, but they can't talk. So somebody
needs to sit you down and go, hey, man, it's
all good. Like you still coach, still hall of fame
you like, But it's okay if you take the next ninety,
the next hundred to sit down.

Speaker 1 (12:09):
I'm pretty sure he had those conversations with his doctors.

Speaker 2 (12:12):
Obviously, these doctors that are off the chain. I'm pretty
sure that was the first thing that.

Speaker 3 (12:18):
They walked back and forth, rock How you walk back
and forth on the field, How you come out with
the I mean, I know you're not saying, but I'm not.

Speaker 2 (12:29):
I'm not disagreeing. All I'm saying is I'm sure I
wasn't in the room.

Speaker 5 (12:33):
I'm not a hundred somebody.

Speaker 1 (12:35):
I have this conversation because if he said I'm coaching, Hey,
I'm coaching, don't care what y'all say. I'm pretty sure
his doctor would say, all right, prime, hold on, slow down, Chief.
I know you competitive, and I know you want to
be out there and be an inspiration, but you probably
want to sit down at least the first half of
the season or whatever. I'm pretty sure they had to
have that conversation before they gave him a green light

(12:56):
to say, you'll be fine if you feel fine going
out there, and we'll know.

Speaker 3 (13:00):
Well, let's skip all the doctors and let's go straight
to the wise. My wife ain't gonna let me do
go back.

Speaker 11 (13:07):
Just straight up.

Speaker 1 (13:09):
I think it's gonna be if it's me and my
wife's gonna be like, how you feel, babe, And if
she sees it on my face, if she sees that
I'm barely kind of move it.

Speaker 4 (13:18):
Look, she's gonna probably sit me down too. But if
I'm like, I'm good, I'm a little sore.

Speaker 5 (13:23):
Here, I'm good.

Speaker 11 (13:25):
Be good. Thing?

Speaker 4 (13:26):
Do you know you're acting like but you'll acting like
this happened yesterday.

Speaker 3 (13:30):
Just now y'all acting like he tours a c L
and he's gonna be Okay, what I'm saying this has
been an ongoing thing.

Speaker 4 (13:37):
We've been talking about this for a long time, so
this is not anything new. He just had a press
conference the other day. I mean, he made the decision
a while ago, and he's gonna return to football. If
he's gonna return football, he's healthy. He's healthy as he
can be. Now, what's gonna put him back in the bed.
It's his football team that's gonna be the real story

(13:57):
that's gonna put him back where you need.

Speaker 10 (14:02):
All that, all that.

Speaker 5 (14:04):
You go one and four and now is cancer acting up.

Speaker 10 (14:09):
I have to go out there like that. But dirty,
I am dirty.

Speaker 4 (14:13):
The point is the last few years he's had your
door he has Travis Hunter. People were talking and had
rumblins during the off season. This off season, the recruiting, no.

Speaker 5 (14:24):
This this quarterback? Juju? Is he from Georgia. I'm saying,
you don't win overall?

Speaker 4 (14:31):
Okay, And that's that's what they're saying, is the recruiting
hadn't been up to park and then we had Dion
three weeks ago at the Big Twelve. Uh, Preston stopped
paying the kids start talking now he's we talked about
putting the cap? Can we put a cap on on
college football? He wasn't saying that a year ago or
two years ago when it's.

Speaker 5 (14:51):
The highest n I L page all.

Speaker 4 (14:54):
I'm saying, so he may be in the bed. We
better have to worry about Dion Sanders. He'll be push
back because of what his football team is on the
football field and competing in the Big Twelve because they
were last season and they're gonna.

Speaker 5 (15:07):
Be a fraud this season. Well, well for.

Speaker 3 (15:14):
Rock for a dude who started off with you know,
I don't I don't wish nothing bad on Dionni he
went back to the Dion hate because I was saying
to myself, well, isn't.

Speaker 5 (15:25):
He a liar.

Speaker 3 (15:26):
He actually hates Dion and but I appreciate him saying
I don't wish I don't wish cancer on nobody, and
I don't want nobody to. You know, we all got
we're parents, so you know, I'm just thinking that a
big picture man, And and you know this entertainment game
we in, My health is more important than radio and comedy.

(15:48):
And I want to live and I don't want and
I don't want to come back, you know, seized up
on the right hand side, still trying to.

Speaker 5 (15:58):
Do comedy like them.

Speaker 3 (16:00):
Cool on it, dog like enough, you gotta be able
to I don't want to go out like these boxers, dog,
And we all know how these boxer. Only boxer who
ain't went out like the rest of the boxers is
uh Mayweather.

Speaker 2 (16:13):
Yeah, because he would he was he never got hit hard, right.

Speaker 1 (16:17):
But I'm gonna say this then we can move on
to to to your boy, Christian Wilkins.

Speaker 4 (16:22):
Stop saying that I said about Colorado and Prime up
to now.

Speaker 1 (16:28):
Has been dead on accurate, the uh super dame. So
from from year one to.

Speaker 4 (16:33):
Year two, now we're going into year three, let's see
what happens. But I'm two for two so far.

Speaker 10 (16:37):
When it comes to also, they're gonna take it hit
this year.

Speaker 4 (16:41):
I also said that once his son leaves and Travis
Lee's wet's see the real story about Deon Saud's been
ahead back and I said, and I said, and they
wont fault like the fall last year. Told me all
you want. They went not in four last season, but
they lost to B White. You had a chance to
win the Big twelve. They couldn't do it.

Speaker 2 (17:03):
This is team This is.

Speaker 10 (17:07):
Against b YU and to get some better teams in
the Big twelve.

Speaker 5 (17:10):
So nothing.

Speaker 2 (17:13):
This is when you lose all your sports. Cred bro
lost a long time ago.

Speaker 5 (17:17):
He said, gonna start with Cleveland Brown.

Speaker 2 (17:19):
So you were saying, you said, let's talk about facts here.

Speaker 1 (17:23):
You said with Travis Hunter, with Shador that they were
still not gonna.

Speaker 5 (17:28):
Win, gonna win four games five. I ain't doing that now.
I'm not running from that.

Speaker 10 (17:36):
I'm not I'm not running from that.

Speaker 4 (17:39):
Whole thing is they're still a bad team and they're
still a fraud team.

Speaker 10 (17:48):
I don't know what you want to do out there,
but the whole board is there's still a fraud team.

Speaker 3 (17:51):
Well, since we're talking about Shador, shau Door said yesterday
that he told his dad don't come to training camp because.

Speaker 4 (17:58):
He ain't rock been saying this on on Rickey show.
He was like a fool in the end, this boy's
not gonna be a starter for this team.

Speaker 1 (18:05):
But what I said, Okay, if you're gonna say something
to say that, here's what I said on the show.

Speaker 4 (18:13):
Well, you're you're on the fence on everything, so make
a decision. Make a damn decision.

Speaker 2 (18:17):
Go ahead, That's what I said on the show. You're
gonna say something, said right, say it, sordy, do say that.

Speaker 1 (18:23):
They was asking who do I think it's gonna start
as the Cleveland Park quarterback, and they said, do you
think Shador? I'm like, don't be surprised that Shador don't
wind up being the starter.

Speaker 2 (18:32):
Did I didn't say he was gonna be a Game
one starter. I didn't say he was gonna be Game
two or three starter.

Speaker 4 (18:43):
Right now, I don't be surprised if he's in the
starting lineup this season, like I do believe do is
gonna be in it, and it ain't gonna be due
to somebody getting hurt. No, no, you said no, you
said one day on the show because I had it
marked down.

Speaker 2 (18:55):
You said one day he.

Speaker 4 (18:58):
Said he would be the starter whin the season starts.
I said, don't be surprised that your door is in
that starting line is to move on.

Speaker 11 (19:05):
I can move on.

Speaker 5 (19:07):
Don't get into the Wickers thing. What is that dog?
What's this right here?

Speaker 11 (19:11):
Man?

Speaker 10 (19:12):
We gonna I got talking about that? BS can move
on to the Christian Wilkinson.

Speaker 3 (19:17):
Man, your boy, stop saying that dog. He ain't either
a Raider no more, nor did he go to Michigan.

Speaker 2 (19:24):
Not my boy at all. He played for the Raiders.
What's the name of your team?

Speaker 10 (19:30):
It's your team. It's the Raiders, Like, wow, it is your.

Speaker 5 (19:34):
Team, right?

Speaker 11 (19:35):
It is my team.

Speaker 5 (19:37):
Played for us though he just got he never played.

Speaker 4 (19:42):
Y'all signed him for big money. Y'all signed up for
big money, didn't you?

Speaker 5 (19:45):
And then he licked somebody's head or something or pretend.

Speaker 10 (19:50):
But hold on, but you didn't ask my question.

Speaker 5 (19:52):
Y'all signed up for big money, right.

Speaker 3 (19:54):
And we let him go too. So as of right now,
what we're talking about, I don't know who we talk about.
The former former writer is what they get to say.

Speaker 1 (20:05):
Do you want to explain Griff what happened to your boy?
And who I've been hearing it?

Speaker 3 (20:10):
I've been today was probably the most that I've and
and it was the video man. And I'll see if
Casey he can put this video in or I'll just
put it on. I hate domi'es ig. When he was
at Clemson, it was a very It was a play
he was on defense. He didn't even tackle somebody. He

(20:32):
was standing next to the dude who tackled somebody and
with the dude on the other team was laying on
his stomach and Christian just casually reached down between this
man's legs like he dropped his wallet like he like
he was looking for something dog and then just put
his hand back up casually.

Speaker 4 (20:53):
Hey, he was trying to fondle with the family jewels.

Speaker 3 (20:59):
No, he like and and it's no way like all
the commentating from it was like, man, what part of football?

Speaker 5 (21:08):
Like what play is this?

Speaker 3 (21:09):
Like you ain't even you know if you tackle somebody
and you on top of him and you gotta get up,
and that's understandable, but you was walking past, caught you
somebody laying on their stomach and start looking for your
wallet like so the what I've been what I've been hearing,

(21:31):
and I've been trying to really call people in Vegas,
like what is going on. They said, it's two things.
What the Raiders are standing on is he wouldn't take
a second surgery or something to get better. So yeah, yeah,
so they they they null and voided avoid and nullified

(21:53):
his contract because he wasn't trying to get better and
he didn't take the But it came out a day
after they said Dad did. He was doing inappropriate things
with people in the locker room.

Speaker 4 (22:05):
Because they said he he kets a teammate on the forehead.

Speaker 3 (22:08):
He tried to kiss somebody on the head and the
person got mad and pushed him off. And then there's
all these people that's chiming in like, oh he been
like that?

Speaker 5 (22:17):
Like he he been?

Speaker 2 (22:19):
He has.

Speaker 4 (22:20):
Josh Allen's being complained the quarterback for the Buffalo Bill.
He's always complained about him and never really wanted to
play against him because he said he's always doing stuff,
especially in the pile. You know, they got munched up
in the pile. He's up extra whatever he wants to
do his extra fields, and Josh gets up and he'll
say something to the referee referee can't do anything about
it because.

Speaker 5 (22:40):
He didn't say what did you say? This dude's trying
to go on my cup, Get out of the right
cop you know, bugs bunny with stop breathing in my copy.

Speaker 2 (22:54):
And he's so big it coold. Look let's go back
to the pile.

Speaker 3 (22:58):
The dude had nine sacks a couple of seasons ago. Man, Like,
he's a whole problem on defense. So this extra, this
extra goofy that he's doing is is just very weird
and rando.

Speaker 2 (23:12):
And back to the piles.

Speaker 1 (23:15):
Man, when these when you're getting tackled in football, and
this is this is no secret. All players have said
this and mentioned this. All right, you trying to dig
and get the ball from the other player.

Speaker 5 (23:27):
Of course, look it's a fumble.

Speaker 2 (23:29):
I got it.

Speaker 4 (23:30):
So there's a lot of pension, there's a lot of
tugg in, there's a lot you can you can do
whatever you can to try to get the player with
the ball to say, man, let me, let's stop and
release that ball.

Speaker 5 (23:42):
It's not a cosswiping And there I'm trying to make
you go. You won't be looking for your wallet on me.

Speaker 4 (23:54):
I'm letting it's this flat out blatant like obviously I'm
gonna go, I'm gonna go, put my hand right there,
like come on, and the scared we're making fun of this,
which is I don't know if the guy is serious.
I don't because he's been doing it since he was
in college and probably even before then.

Speaker 5 (24:08):
We just didn't see anything during that time.

Speaker 4 (24:10):
But the funny part is he's a hell of a
player if he's healthy. And I can see the cowboys,
what did the cowboys need and need a run stopper?
I can see the cowboys going out getting hm, especially
if he's at a good price, at a bargain price.

Speaker 10 (24:25):
And now you got him on the cowboys.

Speaker 5 (24:27):
And saying I don't care what he did.

Speaker 3 (24:29):
Well get say if you want to be, if you
want to be, uh, think think think think thinking.

Speaker 5 (24:36):
Big big bing bing bing bing.

Speaker 2 (24:44):
Anyway, you know that.

Speaker 3 (24:45):
You know the horrible part about it is is he
lost some bread. Let's keep it all the way real.
Oh yeah, thirty five million back guaranteed quick like that's
they gave.

Speaker 5 (24:56):
That man one hundred and nine million or something.

Speaker 3 (24:58):
They took his guaranteed, like all jokes aside and freak
and blah blah, blah, you messing with your own money.

Speaker 5 (25:06):
That's not hey, man, I bet you, I I know
who ain't gonna mess up his own money.

Speaker 3 (25:12):
I know we ain't never gonna say something in as
as inappropriate and as as random as they think I
am all the time. I bet you I won't get
fired for saying something dumb on the radio.

Speaker 11 (25:24):
I bet you that.

Speaker 3 (25:25):
I bet you that I ain't that ran And then
look at what and I'm just reading what it's says
horniness got him cut.

Speaker 5 (25:37):
That's a headline. That's what.

Speaker 11 (25:40):
You like, what he likes. But this is but this
is the play.

Speaker 5 (25:45):
Dog just lookin't even in the problem. I look at him.
He getting in there?

Speaker 11 (25:51):
Dog, what is what was you?

Speaker 8 (25:54):
You know.

Speaker 4 (25:57):
The Dave Chappelle with Prince you know when they go
play basketball, Yeah, and homeboys up and slapped the other
player on the ass.

Speaker 3 (26:04):
He not he not even in the port. He like
you really did anyone see my veil crow wallet.

Speaker 5 (26:13):
He's been You've been one of them for a long time.
Like all game. He was like in there as soon
as he.

Speaker 11 (26:22):
Look at it, Look at the other look at the dude,
Look at the other.

Speaker 5 (26:25):
Defensive player that's on the ground. That's getting up, like man,
Christian off the chain?

Speaker 2 (26:31):
What is he doing?

Speaker 5 (26:32):
You see that hand up it?

Speaker 2 (26:35):
Look the ground. He didn't even kind of react yet.

Speaker 5 (26:38):
No, he's around now look at the dude.

Speaker 9 (26:41):
Who who?

Speaker 5 (26:42):
Who got the wallet? Booty? He turned around right now
with slow motion right now?

Speaker 9 (26:46):
Like man, what who?

Speaker 5 (26:48):
The play is over? The play is over, dog, This
is not an acting play. The play been over. Look
at him. Excuse me, It's.

Speaker 2 (26:57):
Only a Las Vegas raider right there?

Speaker 5 (26:59):
Doog on that note.

Speaker 4 (27:01):
Let's move on to Cam Newton in his list of
top ten quarterbacks in his opinion.

Speaker 1 (27:06):
We're gonna run him down and see if you guys
agree or disagree. We'll let you know what we think.
Because he thinks Jalen Hurts, who's the reigning quarterback Super
Bowl champion, is not in his top ten.

Speaker 2 (27:17):
Let's get ready to run him down, super Dad. You
got to listen in front of you, mane.

Speaker 5 (27:25):
Not cam list.

Speaker 4 (27:26):
Yeah, let me get cams lists, because on Cam did
was not he didn't have Jalen Hurts in his top ten.

Speaker 1 (27:34):
All right, so let's start there, all right, we will
try to find out what who his top ten were.

Speaker 2 (27:38):
But Jalen Hurts was not there, so I personally disagree
with that.

Speaker 4 (27:42):
Now I've been the one on this podcast has said
I'm not all the way convinced and sold on Jalen Hurts.

Speaker 1 (27:49):
I've said that the last couple of years. You have
some reason the dude find ways to win ball games.
He got a freaking Super Bowl. He went to the
Super So I'm like, he's got my respect. He's definitely
a top ten quarterback.

Speaker 10 (28:02):
Let me give you that.

Speaker 5 (28:03):
Let me give you the list right quick.

Speaker 4 (28:04):
For Cam Newton what he said he had, Josh Allen,
Lamar Jackson, and this is an order. Josh Allen number one,
Lamar Jackson, Patrick Mahomes, Joe Burrow, Matthew Stafford, your boy,
Jered Golf, Jaydon Daniels, see that, C J. Stroud, justin

(28:25):
Herbert and Baker Mayfield and he put him on his
notable Hurts. You better look at Baker Mayfield stats in
the last couple of years since he's been with Tampa.

Speaker 10 (28:40):
Yeah he's bawling, man.

Speaker 5 (28:41):
Okay, bawling, but in the NFC South number one, and
then what is he doing outside of it?

Speaker 11 (28:50):
Nothing?

Speaker 5 (28:51):
I mean, I'm listen, I'm the top five. I'm not
mad at his top five. Herbert, you got Herbert top five. No,
I'm saying Herbert is in his top ten, but I
mean Herbert. Jyalen can't get in there before Herbert and
Beggar Mayville. That's pretty sketchy. But I mean Cam Newton
is a uh. You have a problem with his order,

(29:14):
A problem with his order. I think again. I think again.

Speaker 4 (29:20):
The first four between Josh Lamar and Joe. Yeah, Josh Lamar,
Patrick and Joe. You can flip flop them in any
order like aactic number one. I got Lamar, number two,
I got Josh three, and I got Joe.

Speaker 5 (29:35):
Four in that order. I'm with you on that too.

Speaker 2 (29:38):
You can flip flop those in any order. After you
get past those four quarterbacks.

Speaker 5 (29:41):
Tell me is five, six and seven.

Speaker 4 (29:45):
Matthew Stafford, Jared Golf, Jaydon Daniels, c J. Stroud justin Herbert.

Speaker 5 (29:50):
Golf and Daniels. Okay, this is where.

Speaker 3 (29:55):
Stafford I think, I think, uh uh, your boys should
have definitely been in there over.

Speaker 5 (30:03):
I like what Daniels did as a rookie.

Speaker 3 (30:07):
I think, are we talking about their body of work
or last season or whatever? But if they were talking
about their body of work, period.

Speaker 5 (30:15):
I don't think last last season, last season.

Speaker 9 (30:18):
I don't.

Speaker 5 (30:18):
I don't.

Speaker 3 (30:18):
I don't think he was I would put I would
put Daniels ahead of him, but I wouldn't put Matthew.
So that means for me, he would probably be number six,
like number six.

Speaker 5 (30:32):
Who yeah, I got okay, So yeah, he would be
number six for me.

Speaker 2 (30:40):
We know what the first four are my fifth quarterback.
I gotta go on my boy golf.

Speaker 4 (30:46):
Of course I got hurt. Six, I got hurt. He
number six for you too, And I got Dak seven.
He ain't even got Dak in the top team I got.

Speaker 5 (30:55):
They don't have Dak.

Speaker 4 (30:56):
And yeah, a lot a healthy Dak I got still
got him off his complete body.

Speaker 5 (31:02):
Was just where you got hurt? You got hurt in
your top ten.

Speaker 4 (31:06):
Dave, Yeah, I got hurt in my top ten. I
got hurt top I got hurt in my top ten.
I like Matthew Stafford where he is I like number five?

Speaker 5 (31:16):
Because what that's the whole point. We don't know.

Speaker 4 (31:20):
Are we're going by the body of work, or we're
going about what last season? We're going about If we're
going about what.

Speaker 3 (31:24):
Last week, let's be GM's who you want I do
want uh Patrick Mahons, I'm Patrick Mahons first. I'm Lamar second,
because I just feel like Lamar can't get over that hump.

Speaker 5 (31:38):
Josh Josh, I'm Josh. Third, I'm Borrow. I'm I'm not
so on Joe Burrows, I ain't gonna lie.

Speaker 2 (31:47):
I'm not not not.

Speaker 11 (31:49):
You can say what you want to.

Speaker 5 (31:51):
I know his stats. I'm not a fan. Dog, I'm
not a fan Cincinnati Angels.

Speaker 11 (31:57):
Dog.

Speaker 2 (31:57):
You just lost, you just lost your sports card.

Speaker 5 (32:01):
Joe Burrow. Hold on, let me say this to him, rock, Joe.

Speaker 4 (32:04):
Burrow, you're talking about body of work. Yeah, he made
to a super Bowl, right, Yeah, was a play away
from winning.

Speaker 5 (32:12):
The super Bowl.

Speaker 10 (32:12):
So don't if you want to go about body of work,
he's been there.

Speaker 11 (32:15):
He only been in the league.

Speaker 5 (32:17):
I'm I'm I'm I'm looking at it.

Speaker 4 (32:19):
He's putting incredible He's put up incredible numbers and even
last season.

Speaker 5 (32:23):
If man, can you can't tell me who to put.

Speaker 4 (32:29):
I'm giving I'm giving you information. I don't care where
you put him. I'm giving you information while you sound ridiculous.

Speaker 5 (32:35):
I know Joe sweet I'm watching his ears pe the Netflix.

Speaker 9 (32:39):
I know who he is.

Speaker 5 (32:40):
I know his stats. I'm the LSU Heisman Trophy. I
know everything about it.

Speaker 10 (32:44):
Even last season.

Speaker 4 (32:47):
Last season, if he has if he had somewhat of
a defense with a pulse.

Speaker 5 (32:51):
Yeah, if he had one more game too, he could
have won.

Speaker 4 (32:54):
Just had one more game because they had to score
him on thirty forty points a game to win games
because their defense sucked that much.

Speaker 10 (33:00):
He's put up incredible numbers. We wouldn't be talking about
Josh talking.

Speaker 5 (33:03):
About his numbers. He's a good quarterback. My list. You
can't sell me on your number, my list, the showdamn list.
I'm trying to help you ask Look, you don't have
to help me. I don't want him at five look
like the food, Then that's what I look like, a food.

Speaker 2 (33:19):
You tell you.

Speaker 5 (33:22):
You don't want to take information. That's I'm not receiving
the information I'm trying to give you.

Speaker 3 (33:29):
I'm like you, I'm like your wife, change letting you talk,
and I'm hearing about your list.

Speaker 5 (33:36):
But what you don't know numbers. I do know a
lot about his statistics, about the list.

Speaker 3 (33:47):
And that and the whole point of us talking about
cam Newton is because they said they don't like his list.
Were just going over Cam Newton's list. I don't have
to have the same list as Cam Newton. You sound
crazy trying to sell me Joe Bond have the same
loose as same list as Cam Newton, but very commonly.
I'm telling you I don't care that you don't want

(34:09):
damn Joe Burrows at number five on my list.

Speaker 10 (34:13):
To give you information about Jay Lebron.

Speaker 5 (34:16):
I like Lebron more than you do. So there it is.
I actually like Lebron. James.

Speaker 4 (34:24):
See if the difference between me and you, you're so.

Speaker 10 (34:29):
Emotional, you're so emotional, go ahead and tell me.

Speaker 3 (34:34):
Since we talked about looking like we since we talk
about looking like a fool, let's talk about looking like
a fool. You right, I don't know nothing about football.
You know everything about football. My list sucks, yours doesn't. Doug,

Speaker 10 (36:23):
I don't, I don't. I don't sit there and I

Speaker 2 (36:37):
And seven people like my picture my influencer grift.

Speaker 9 (36:44):
You ain't got.

Speaker 2 (36:47):
Influencer.

Speaker 5 (36:48):
I don't want to.

Speaker 10 (36:51):
I don't want to be influence.

Speaker 4 (36:53):
I don't want to be one dumb asked I don't
want to be one that me and you you live on, man,
you don't know what about football.

Speaker 2 (37:04):
You don't.

Speaker 10 (37:07):
You look with your waders and grabbing nuts.

Speaker 5 (37:11):
And grab some nuts in your.

Speaker 10 (37:13):
Mouth, your rader.

Speaker 2 (37:19):
You're right, that's what baby.

Speaker 5 (37:23):
That's my year is a long time.

Speaker 4 (37:31):
Because we're not going to go all right, man, I'm
they're talking something stupid ass that I think we won't
even talk about the last the last thing we're gonna
talk about.

Speaker 5 (37:42):
Man, No quarter back.

Speaker 1 (37:47):
You got quarterback corn, right, we got So let's let's
get ready for Quincy Carter and let y'all calm down
a little bit.

Speaker 2 (37:55):
I'm done so grim when we go here with some
things were gonna hear about Uincy Carter.

Speaker 5 (38:01):
Man, that was really cool to chop it up with him.

Speaker 3 (38:03):
He had a It was this second annual Quincy Carter
Foundation Back to School kickoff at his alma mater, Southwest
of cav High School, and it's actually coming up on
thirty years ago.

Speaker 5 (38:16):
They won a championship with him, which is where he went.

Speaker 3 (38:19):
To baseball, got two million dollars left baseball, came back
to Georgia and then went to the NFL.

Speaker 5 (38:25):
SO and he had some kids that were there.

Speaker 3 (38:28):
If you go to I Hate the Homies right now,
you can actually see some of the products. He has
a cornerback at BYU that's starting in his second year.
He got a wide receiver going to Auburn this year
as a freshman, and a cornerback at West Georgia. You know,
still still getting people out here in Division one man,

(38:50):
so Quincy was doing real good.

Speaker 5 (38:51):
Y'all gonna love his interview.

Speaker 3 (38:53):
Damn okay here and go I hate the Hommies. Griffy
two K, Griffy too trillion. They know me out here
in the ABA. But if you know anything about football,
rock Ted Dave, I'm with your quarterback super day v
Quincy Carter QC.

Speaker 5 (39:09):
I know you sent Southwest the cabin Georgia. Man, how
weird is.

Speaker 3 (39:13):
It to be in your locker room almost three decades
since y'all win the championship with coach Buck Gotfrey.

Speaker 12 (39:20):
Man, it feels good, Grill, it feels good. Ain't nothing
like home, man, and ain't nothing like actually pouring into
the next generation. So it's pretty natural for me, man
not to be you know, trying to be bragging or whatever.
But it's natural to give back to the kids. Man
that you know sitting here, sitting in your seats.

Speaker 3 (39:38):
But let me ask you, though you still gotta throw
deep on him. You still gotta throw deep on him.

Speaker 11 (39:43):
Listen, grill. Sometimes I gotta pop out and shawan and especially.

Speaker 3 (39:47):
Me about this young man right here that now they
can't see him. He obviously about six two six two
and a half eighth grader going into the ninth grade.

Speaker 5 (39:56):
Tell me about it six two and two.

Speaker 12 (39:59):
Too much sometime, But we won't get into that. Uh,
but man, he's so talented. Lttavi is Booker. It's who
we're speaking with right now. I forgot we ain't on TV,
my bad grip, But man, he's so talented. I've been
working with him here for what about three years now,
and yeah, got him as a baby, and uh.

Speaker 11 (40:17):
He's so I'm so happy for him too.

Speaker 12 (40:20):
It's a little bitter sweet, though, because I just left
and went to here at this high school. So it's
a little bittersweet, but uh, but I gotta keep my
I gotta keep my kids right here, you know. So
ain't no switching schools or none of that. He a
Southwestern cab kid, and I don't be snatching kids and

(40:40):
recruiting them.

Speaker 5 (40:41):
And nah, I don't do that.

Speaker 12 (40:42):
That ain't right, you know what I mean? He was
meant to go here, his neighborhood is here, and that's
how we play A heritage is being coached by. I mean,
the man said he took you under his wings when
you was a fifth grader.

Speaker 5 (40:56):
How how special is that?

Speaker 11 (40:58):
And do you really know.

Speaker 5 (41:01):
The entire sportsmanship? But Quincy Carter, I mean.

Speaker 13 (41:05):
I feel like I do. I mean, he dodnet taught
me a lot that I did not know, and I
done came along with. I mean, if it was for
him my seventh grade year, I wouldn't did what I
would have done seventh grade year in eighth grade year,
So I mean, he doesn't put a lot.

Speaker 5 (41:19):
What did you do seventh and eighth grade year?

Speaker 11 (41:21):
I did? I did really good.

Speaker 5 (41:22):
I ain't gonna lie. My first year, my first ever
year playing quarterback.

Speaker 13 (41:26):
I threw for like forty some touchdowns, like one hundred
like I threw for like over six hundred some yards.

Speaker 5 (41:34):
I did.

Speaker 13 (41:34):
I did good at my seventh grade year. But he
taught me a lot that I didn't think I was
gonna ever get.

Speaker 3 (41:40):
So it's a bunch of people listening to this podcast
right now. The tab is what's What's two things that
he taught you that you won't ever forget your whole life.

Speaker 5 (41:49):
My feet work in my base that's that's mainly my
feet I was.

Speaker 3 (41:55):
I was gonna I was thinking myself footwork too, because
even when you look at a hard knock there some
of them TV shows, even the quarterbacks that's in the
NFL right now, they still working on their feetwork.

Speaker 5 (42:07):
What's so important about footwork? You gotta have feet work.

Speaker 13 (42:10):
They be able to get into your throat, load, into
your throat, base, backfoot all that they're taught me all
that so I basically know all that that stuff right now.

Speaker 5 (42:20):
So I mean I'm still gonna learn it. What's your Instagram?
For the people that's out here wanting to scout you
seven reasons underscore t Quinzy.

Speaker 3 (42:30):
I hear a young man like that, man that gotta
make you proud, And let me tell you something. Footwork
is what they'll never understand. They just being sweet because
they you know, in the neighborhood and throw the rock long.
They faster than everybody, but they being still in the
pocket exactly.

Speaker 12 (42:45):
And that's what's key, you know, because so much chaos
is around us in the pocket. But now we're able
to move our feet in the direction where we need
to be in that pocket and having more accuracy in
doing that and being able to move your feet, and man,
it was so cool to actually hear him say that
too and articulate that unless you know, you haven't teaching him.

Speaker 5 (43:06):
So the dude getting taller too. He's a little boy.
He's six two weeks child. He three inches Guaranteed in
the next couple of years.

Speaker 12 (43:17):
There's a mini monster v Key's working. There's no way
he won't be playing on Sundays. And I've been telling
him that and I want him to shoot for those stars.
But you gotta remind him it's about the grind. That's
what it's about.

Speaker 3 (43:30):
While talking to young people, and it's in twenty twenty
five with social media and just the way we grew
up so different than them. They can't even write in cursive. Dog,
what's the main thing you have to do to keep
them focused? Is it just about the game, and we
ain't gonna talk about nothing else.

Speaker 12 (43:51):
You just gotta be honest with him. You ain't no
cutting coins. You know, it's some conversation with Griff we
grew up with, and you know, Mama did maybe one
to talk to eactly. But they see it all Instagram, honestly, man.
For you know, PG listeners out here. Don't take this
the wrong way for Instagram and soft pork, you know.

(44:12):
And so it's, you know, it's getting them to understand
what's important. It's getting them to understand. Yes, it's not
about putting a video out, but it's actually like, what
work are you doing? You know what I mean, what
studying are you doing? Are you just throwing things.

Speaker 11 (44:26):
Out on social media to make it look good, but
are you really on the grind?

Speaker 12 (44:30):
And so it's really just just making them understand what's
really important, you know, because there's all a lot of
glitz and glimmer out there and glitter out there. But
but just making sure they understand what's important.

Speaker 3 (44:41):
That's the grind, grip, Quincy, Ain't you glad that we
ain't have social media when we was young?

Speaker 7 (44:46):
Dog?

Speaker 11 (44:46):
I think, gun, I thank god every day, dog, Look girl,
we would have been worse than that comedy show we
used to be at all the time.

Speaker 5 (44:54):
Man, they don't even know. Quincy.

Speaker 3 (44:57):
Let me, I know you're here with a bunch of
kids and you gotta get back. Tell us about your
foundation and some of the great things like this. I'm
actually at his foundations event back to school at his
alma mater. You don partner with my girl, Latanya from paus.
Tell me about your whole thing. You doing your nonprofit

(45:18):
ways well well, the Quincy Carda Foundation.

Speaker 11 (45:21):
We advocate for substance free neighborhoods.

Speaker 12 (45:24):
We do that through camps, clinics, speaking engagements. We do
a turkey giveaway. We actually do a scholarship giveaway here
at my school. This is actually our second back to
school event. But having partners like Latania Gates and Paul Kids,
I mean, we couldn't do it. We couldn't be able
to do it without them. So to be able to
get these kids free haircuts, you know, to come, get

(45:47):
some book bass, come get some knowledge, to come have
some fun, throw around the ball.

Speaker 8 (45:51):
You know.

Speaker 11 (45:52):
Community, that's what it's all about.

Speaker 9 (45:54):
Man.

Speaker 12 (45:54):
We can come together more, you know, really give our
ideas to each other, really have everybody together and be
a community. Griff Man, it just feels like the good
old days for me and I want to continue giving
back to my neighborhood anyway we can. You can find
us at ww dot d quincycarterfoundation dot com and also

(46:15):
on Instagram d Quincy Carter Foundation.

Speaker 5 (46:20):
Before I let you go, you talked about substance. That substances.

Speaker 3 (46:25):
You know a lot about recovering, you know a lot
about that wormhole you can get caught in as an
athlete or entertainer.

Speaker 5 (46:34):
How do you express that to the kids? Do you
say I was there? I was there? Like how how
do you tell them that part? Because it's oh, like
you said, the glamour.

Speaker 3 (46:44):
The glits is beautiful, But what's the dark side of
the game, Griff, I shoot it to them straight. I
tell them I was on the road probably of putting
on a gold jacket in the NFL.

Speaker 12 (46:54):
I really believe that. But Griff, I took a habit
with me, started smoking, being slick. Next thing you know,
I got my hand cut off, not literally, but got
cut by the cowboys, and then everything went crazy on it.
Then it went to deeper drugs, cocaine, heavy alcohol, drinking.
And I tell them, Griff, I show them, I let

(47:15):
them know, all right, you think this weed out here
is legal. You think it's cool, it could lead you
down some rolls that you don't even want to go down.
And then the other thing, Griff is not even got
dang regular weed. Griff, he got chemicals and everything.

Speaker 5 (47:29):
E and like, well be smoking shrm sticks.

Speaker 11 (47:32):
And let me tell you.

Speaker 12 (47:33):
And in the government, they've gotta make it a high
grade plant or whatever what I'm trying to say, or
they gotta make it where they come back. And they're
so addictive to it because they're selling it now. But
I just shoot them straight though, Grip, and I don't
hide from it, man, And they respect you.

Speaker 11 (47:49):
For that, they really do.

Speaker 3 (47:51):
I love that, Quincy, man, that's perfect. And I'm gonna
end it with this. How are you and your family?
How's your family doing? How your sisters in there?

Speaker 11 (48:00):
They doing good?

Speaker 12 (48:01):
You just missed them too, grif they was supposed to
come here. I know you remember Kaylin to lend up. Yeah,
but we're doing good.

Speaker 9 (48:09):
Man.

Speaker 12 (48:09):
I appreciate you asking. I got seven kids now, Grill, Yes, boy,
let me tell you, but it's been good man. Matter
of fact, I hadn't even mentioned today is my makes
my six year being sober today? See, hey, man, I
love you y'all, ladies and gentlemen, Quincy Carter man who
you want?

Speaker 3 (48:26):
And I know your faith with God. I know your
faith with God, not outside of you listening to get
up mornings with how has God changed.

Speaker 5 (48:34):
Your life and that relationship?

Speaker 3 (48:36):
And then how do you express that to the kid
without to the kids without sounding like a pastor?

Speaker 12 (48:41):
I know that's the key, because you can drown them
out sometimes, But man, I show them, Grill, I tell them,
and then to really, you know, come back from the
streets where I came from, Griff, to show them how
I climb that mountain. You know, it's really illustrated for me,
to me to be honest with you, man, it's like
it's so like a perfect picture of who else could

(49:03):
have gotten me up off that floor. And then when
you walk with it, Griff, every day, they see it
every day, you know, and sometimes you're right. You can't
keep drowning them out with message. But just show them,
you know what I mean, just walk it and then
they see it. Man, can't You can't miss God when
you see me because from where I came from, and
then the words and how I live, and man, I

(49:25):
take pride in it, you know, I get up every morning,
get on my knees and just ask God, Man, got me,
got me and help me, help me, help your kids.
You know what I mean, Grill and I just walk
in it man, daily ladies and gentlemen. My dog, my dog,
Quincy Carter on my dog real, nothing but love for you.

Speaker 3 (49:47):
Man.

Speaker 5 (49:47):
Excited about the season. I'm gonna be at the first guy.

Speaker 12 (49:50):
Heck yeah, Man, looking forward to it. Man, So God
damn glad to see you.

Speaker 11 (49:54):
Boy. It's been too long for the world.

Speaker 5 (49:56):

Speaker 11 (49:59):
I appreciate man on that man.

Speaker 5 (50:03):

about social media.

Speaker 3 (50:13):

I'm quicker than you. You No, I'm in the gym too,
so I can I can't tell you in the gym well,
because when the last time you saw me?

Speaker 5 (50:30):
I know when the last time you saw me.

Speaker 2 (50:38):
That's when I saw you last, and that was my last.

Speaker 5 (50:58):
Got six flow me.

Speaker 2 (51:05):

Speaker 4 (51:10):
