A inteligência artificial (IA) está a invadir o campo da criatividade, da cultura e das artes, com grande impacto neste mercado de trabalho. Encarada por uns como uma ferramenta poderosa que amplia a criatividade humana, outros têm preocupações sobre a perda de singularidade e autenticidade na arte. A IA é capaz de ser criativa? Ou a criatividade é um traço exclusivamente humano? As obras de arte geradas por IA têm o mesmo valor que as criadas por artistas humanos? O uso desta ferramenta vai ampliar a diversidade artística ou pode levar à sua redução?
Para responder a estas e muitas outras perguntas, foram convidados Leonel Moura, artista pioneiro na aplicação da Robótica e da Inteligência Artificial na arte, e Penousal Machado, docente do Departamento de Informática da Universidade de Coimbra e investigador do CISUC (Centro de Informática e sistemas da Universidade de Coimbra e LASI (Laboratório Associado de sistemas Inteligentes), especialista em Computação Evolutiva, Criatividade Computacional, Inteligência Artificial e Visualização da Informação.
