De opname van de nieuwste In de Ring was op de dag dat bekend werd dat trainingsmaatjes en topzwaargewichten Antonio Plazibat en Jamal Ben Saddik een onderling Glory-gevecht hebben geweigerd. Dat was voldoende voer voor AD’s vechtsportgezicht Remy Bonjasky en verslaggever Tim Reedijk om de voors en tegens af te wegen, met de argumenten die Glory's matchmaker Robbie Timmers en Mike Passenier (trainer Plazibat en Ben Saddik) opvoeren.
Verder gaat het in In de Ring over UFC, dat komend weekend voor het eerst in de geschiedenis naar Frankrijk trekt (Parijs) mét een nieuw Nederlands gezicht: Jarno Errens. Het gevecht van Errens, maar ook dat van Ciryl Gane en Tai Tuivasa worden besproken.
