In de derde aflevering van Kapper van de Sterren neemt Linda Hakeboom plaats in de kapperstoel van Siko. In 2020 kreeg de presentatrice en documentairemaker de diagnose borstkanker, waarna ze een traject van chemotherapie en bestralingen in ging. Een bezoek aan de kapper is dan ook nog altijd spannend voor Linda, zo deelt ze in gesprek met Siko.
Tijdens het knippen is Linda openhartig over wat zo'n kankerdiagnose, en dan vooral de daaropvolgende behandelingen met haar heeft gedaan: van haarverlies tot in de overgang raken. "Ik was 34, kapot van de chemo en dan kreeg ik óók nog een opvlieger."
Ook praten Linda en Siko over haar boek Alleen Nog Vandaag, waarin ze schrijft over haar ziekte en haar jeugd: "Ik wilde vertellen wat kanker met mij deed, maar dat kon alleen als ik óók eerlijk was over wie ik daarvoor was."
