El Gobierno confirma que comenzará el 28 de agosto el traslado de menores migrantes no acompañados desde Canarias, Ceuta y Melilla, pese al boicot de comunidades del PP que impidieron celebrar la Conferencia Sectorial. La ministra Sira Rego ha defendido el real decreto que regula este mecanismo y lamenta que no se haya aprobado el reparto de 22 millones para apoyar a los territorios afectados.
En clave judicial, el exministro Cristóbal Montoro abandona el PP tras ser investigado por fraude y corrupción. Además, la Fiscalía pide casi cuatro años de prisión para Alberto González Amador, pareja de Isabel Díaz Ayuso, por fraude fiscal.
La Comisión Europea abre un procedimiento contra España por otorgar al Gobierno poderes excesivos en fusiones bancarias, tras vetar la opa del BBVA al Sabadell.
También se ordena prisión para el líder ultra que incitó al odio en Torre Pacheco. Y en el plano internacional, Reino Unido y Alemania firman un histórico tratado de defensa.
