Asher thought his casual burger date with Gretchen went off without a hitch, good conversation, great vibes, and nothing he’d consider a dealbreaker. But Gretchen says as soon as the food hit the table, everything changed. It wasn’t what he said... it was how he ate that had her quietly planning her exit.

Speaker 1 (00:00):
This morning, we're talking with Asher, who is the most
recent person to have a terrible date. No, I'm just kidding, Asher,
I'm hoping you had a pretty good date with Gretchen.
You guys went out on a date, and how did
that go? Cricket since then?

Speaker 2 (00:15):
Yeah, first of all, I'm so excited to be on
with you guys. Thank you so much. My friends told
me not to go on with you and do the
radio thing, but.

Speaker 3 (00:23):
Here you are.

Speaker 2 (00:28):
Oh no, please don't tell me that, and thanks, thank
you for trying to help me out. I appreciate it.

Speaker 4 (00:35):
Well, first of all, don't take bad advice from your friends.
We are here to help you. We're here to assist you.
And as long as you're honest and you didn't do
anything embarrassing on the date, it's going to be just fine.

Speaker 2 (00:45):
Yeah, that's what I told him. I don't I know,
I didn't do anything wrong or hopefully make a fool
out of myself. So I'm just looking for some answers
because Gretchen, let's be honest, she was a smoke show.
I mean, she's absolutely gorgeous, so naturally I want a
second date. But at the very least I just need
to know why not, And maybe it's not all me.

(01:07):
Maybe I don't know, maybe it's not me at all.
They say the Hosita girl is the crazy hot.

Speaker 3 (01:13):
Of the crown, the hot and the crazy scale. I've
heard that before.

Speaker 5 (01:16):
Oh yeah, but you know, comments like that might not
be the best start if you said anything.

Speaker 3 (01:21):
Did you say anything like that on the date?

Speaker 2 (01:22):
Maybe No, I wouldn't say that to our face, for sure. No,
I didn't say anything like that, And I'm to be honest.
I thought I was pretty polite, and I thought the
date was chill. We went to grab a burger and
a beer and the super casual, so I thought it
went pretty well. It was pretty great.

Speaker 1 (01:38):
Okay, were there any sensitive subjects of conversation? You know,
sometimes conversation can start and where things get brought up.
People are on different sides of the fence these days
or anything like that, so I usually.

Speaker 2 (01:50):
Try to stay away from controversial stuff like that. Yeah. Like,
in fact, we touched on some little things like kids
in the future, smoking, things that people have like serious
staff on, but nothing like we were all We were
both in agreement on those things.

Speaker 4 (02:03):
So all right, Well then, Asher, I guess it's that
time isn't it.

Speaker 2 (02:07):
Let's do it, all right.

Speaker 4 (02:08):
We're gonna get Gretchen on the line and see if
we can figure out what's going on for you and
get you a second date.

Speaker 2 (02:13):
Thank you, I appreciate it, all right.

Speaker 5 (02:14):
We'll do that coming up next at seven thirty seven
on ninety three Q Second Date Updates.

Speaker 3 (02:19):
So Asher went out with Gretchen. They grabbed a burger
and a beer.

Speaker 5 (02:23):
He said everything went great, but she was super hot,
like out of his league hot, and he's wondering if
maybe that had something to do with was she too
hot for him? We're gonna find out next the ninety
three Q Second Date Updates.

Speaker 1 (02:36):
Hello, Hi is Gretchen there? Yeah, Hi Gretchen, This is Caitlin.
I'm here with my friends Riggs and Erica. We're on
a morning show here in Houston on ninety three Q.

Speaker 2 (02:46):
Oh Hi, Hi, y'all.

Speaker 4 (02:48):
We're doing fantastic, but we're calling you because a friend
of our show reached out and he really wants to
go on a date with you. He thinks you're a
smoke show.

Speaker 6 (02:56):
Okay, and whom this mystery men be? I have him
looking for a big, strong, handsome man to come slick
me off my feet any day now.

Speaker 3 (03:05):
Oh nang, Well, this might be the guy.

Speaker 5 (03:07):
I mean, you've gone out with him before, so he
had to have checked at least a couple of those boxes.

Speaker 6 (03:12):
Right, wait, we've gone out already.

Speaker 2 (03:14):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (03:14):
Do you remember a guy named Asher? He checked a
few of those boxes for you?

Speaker 6 (03:18):
Yeah, he was handsome, yes, but no, I don't think
he is the man for me. As much as we
did have a good time, it's just is not it.

Speaker 4 (03:29):
Can we ask why? Because when we spoke to him,
he really couldn't point to anything that he did, like
during his conversation with you or any way that the
date went wrong and he was really into you and things.
You're like one of the hottest girls on the planet.

Speaker 3 (03:40):
Yeah, he did say that several times.

Speaker 6 (03:42):
Oh my gosh, Well I appreciate that, and yeah, I'm
god and I still got it. And he's very good
looking in himself.

Speaker 5 (03:49):
Where did you.

Speaker 3 (03:50):
Lose the interest in the guy?

Speaker 5 (03:52):
Is it there a point in the conversation where you
couldn't just let him know what was wrong instead of
just ghosting him.

Speaker 6 (03:57):
I just I just didn't really want to insults him
or you know, get in the back and forth. So
it's just easier. But when we were at dinner, we
went to a burger place and this man cut his
burger to eat it.

Speaker 1 (04:12):
Girl, people cut their burgers in half all the time.
It's easier to eat that way.

Speaker 3 (04:16):
Yeah, I don't want to be sloppy.

Speaker 6 (04:18):
No, no, no, he literally cut his burger bite by bite,
individual a little bite.

Speaker 1 (04:25):
Oh wait, never mind, that's weird.

Speaker 4 (04:27):
That's a little bit different. I mean, like, I've done
that for my kids before when it's just too big.
But I don't think I've ever seen a grown man
do that.

Speaker 6 (04:35):
Yeah, neither that.

Speaker 5 (04:37):
Maybe could it just be him and tried to maybe
not make a mess? Burger is gonna get kind of
sloppy on a first date.

Speaker 2 (04:42):
Maybe that's there's no way that this is serious, right, Like,
because I like to cut my food up to eat.
That's why I didn't hear from you.

Speaker 3 (04:50):
Oh we just jumped in.

Speaker 1 (04:51):
There isn't he that's asher by the way, he's been
listening in.

Speaker 6 (04:55):
Oh I was confused for a second.

Speaker 1 (04:58):
Sorry, Sorry about that. Yeah, people get confused at that
part right there.

Speaker 6 (05:01):
Yes, okay, but yeah, that's exactly why I just want
to date and have a future with a man. Grab
that sandwich by the buns and like, go in on it,
break out your fork and knife and cut your cheeseburger
up into little bites.

Speaker 2 (05:18):
Well, I mean, first of all, that sounds like you
weren't talking about a burger. But besides the point, it's
not about the messy part. I can make it. I
can make sure. I just want to make sure I
get every little piece at the topping on every bite,
like it's just the way I like to eat.

Speaker 5 (05:33):
It's actually not a bad idea. You get like tomato, pickle,
lettuce and everything on one bite.

Speaker 4 (05:38):
OCD.

Speaker 5 (05:39):
Yeah, I can see that instead of like dragon having
like a bite of just pickles or a bite of
just meat.

Speaker 6 (05:45):
No, I'm not buying it. What about like pizza or ribs?
You cutting up your slice of pizza too like or
eating ribs with a fork and a knife.

Speaker 4 (05:54):
I just can't as sure, do you?

Speaker 2 (05:58):
So what if I eat my ribs? It's a knife
and fork?

Speaker 6 (06:02):
No I work, looks I just have my type a man,
A man that's sound a ready to get his hands steady.
We'll pick up that rib and just chow down. You
are just too much on like the pretty boys side,
And there are plenty of girls that will probably love that.
You know, you're not trying to be messy, and they're
good to look at. It's just it's just it's not me, okay.

Speaker 1 (06:24):
I mean it sounds like we kind of I think
know what this issue is. They're just you guys are
not an ideal match and that happens. So Gretchen, thank
you for the time.

Speaker 6 (06:33):
Yeah, you're welcome.

Speaker 5 (06:34):
Yeah, and Asher, did you at least get maybe the
why that you were looking for?

Speaker 3 (06:38):
I'm like, really, you can.

Speaker 5 (06:39):
Kind of keep your head up after this because it's
really just about you eating.

Speaker 3 (06:43):
The way that you eat.

Speaker 2 (06:45):
I don't know, it sounds like it's something else, but
she just doesn't want to tell me.

Speaker 3 (06:49):
I guess.

Speaker 4 (06:50):
I mean, you're gonna say whatever you want, but a
knife and four for your ribs, assure there's no excuse
for that. If you pick that up in your body.

Speaker 3 (06:58):
It does it feels like more work.

Speaker 1 (07:00):
Yeah, you're right, it feels hard to just get around
the bones.

Speaker 2 (07:04):
Honestly, you know what, if you're on a date, you
don't want a guy with messy hands touching your face.
That's all I'm saying. I don't know, you don't want
that makeup,
