Speaker 2 (00:11):
She actually works at the front desk at a at
an office building that I make deliveries too, So I'm
there like three four days a week, so I don't know.
They say not the date at the office, but you
know it's not my office.

Speaker 1 (00:22):
No, it totally makes sense.

Speaker 4 (00:24):
Okay, And exactly what types of things are you delivering?
Like Amazon FedEx, Not that it really matters, but just
you know.

Speaker 2 (00:30):
No, no, no, I don't work for any of the majors.
It's a medical supply office and mostly patient samples.

Speaker 5 (00:37):
Oh okay, okay, Well tell us about the date and
what happened, Like where did you go?

Speaker 2 (00:42):
I went to TuS which is awesome. Have you been there?

Speaker 3 (00:45):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (00:46):
We had a bighead an event there with not too
long ago. It was fun.

Speaker 2 (00:49):
Oh, the patio was packed that we played a corn
hole you know, had some drinks yeah, and food, you know,
typical night.

Speaker 1 (00:57):
And then you know, so did things end, like really,
where there were anything weird after the date, any weird
vibes or anything not.

Speaker 2 (01:04):
I wouldn't say like weird weird vibes, like my stupid
X was there because she works there.

Speaker 1 (01:08):
Oh well there.

Speaker 2 (01:10):
And you didn't know that, No, I mean I didn't
know that she still worked there. I figured, you know,
she bounces around a lot, so I figured that was safe.

Speaker 1 (01:19):
Gotta be what it is.

Speaker 2 (01:20):
She's cool. I mean I don't know she was cool,
you know, like we we get along. We're not friends anymore,
but whatever. But Meghan seemed fine with it.

Speaker 1 (01:28):
Okay, sure about that?

Speaker 2 (01:31):
It could have been it?

Speaker 1 (01:32):
All right, Well, here's what we can do. We can
get Megan on the phone and we'll give her a
call and find out what she thinks about the whole situation.
Sound all right, perfect cool?

Speaker 4 (01:39):
All right, we're gonna do that coming up at eight
thirty five right here on ninety three Q Second Date Update.

Speaker 5 (01:44):
So Blake took make It out on a date and
they played cornhole, had a great time. But Blake's ex
girlfriend was working there. Is that why Meghan didn't call
him back? Let's find out right now on I three
Q second Date Update.

Speaker 1 (01:57):
Hey, Megan, this is Riggs came than in America at
ninety three Q in Houston. Hi, gosh, we're calling on
behalf of Blake who said that he went on a
date with you to the Memorial Trail Ice House.

Speaker 2 (02:09):
Do you remember that?

Speaker 3 (02:10):
Oh? Yes, I remember Blake quite the ladies man late.

Speaker 4 (02:15):
Oh okay, well let's get your side of the date.

Speaker 3 (02:19):
Then.

Speaker 4 (02:19):
What happened? Why is he a ladies man?

Speaker 3 (02:21):
I kept seeing him like dropping off his packages, and
we were flirty right away for like a few weeks
before he finally asked me out. And I mean, I
guess I had a nice time on the date.

Speaker 5 (02:33):
Yeah, So he mentioned that his ex girlfriend was there.
Is that like the red flag?

Speaker 3 (02:39):
Oh no, it was fine. I didn't have a problem
with that at all. I mean she felt bad about it.
He kept apologizing. It was kind of like it was
really like what happened after the date that I had
an issue with?

Speaker 1 (02:53):
Okay, what was that?

Speaker 3 (02:54):
He He gave me a gift basket from his trunk?

Speaker 1 (03:00):
What from a trunk, like like one of those ones
you win are like an auction, like one of those
easter baskets wrapped in like cell a fang, one of
those things.

Speaker 3 (03:07):
Kind of it was like it was just weird because
it was like a basket and it had like t
shirts from local restaurants and bars. Also, there was like
a twenty five dollars what a Burger card.

Speaker 5 (03:19):
In their Hey, that's a great thing. Twenty five dollars
what a burger. I'll take that.

Speaker 3 (03:23):
Yep, you know what. I Blake has gone out with
like a lot of other women from my office actually,
and the word around the office is that he's done
this before. All the other women were talking about all
the other gift baskets that they had gotten. Oh he's
a giver.

Speaker 5 (03:39):
Wow.

Speaker 3 (03:40):
Yeah, this is like she's saying that he does. I guess.
But the problem I have is that like all the
other women got like much much better at gift back.

Speaker 4 (03:51):
Wait is it okay?

Speaker 3 (03:52):
Thank you? Did you go?

Speaker 4 (03:54):
First of all? Did you go out with him just
for the gift basket? If you already knew he was
given that to the ladies in the office, and what
what is in these other gift baskets that he's giving
to people?

Speaker 5 (04:03):
Yes?

Speaker 3 (04:03):
Well, no, I liked him. He was, like I said,
we were like really slurty. He's cute. But I also
was excited for my gift back because I heard so
much about like all these other women got these amazing
gift baskets. Like I heard some girls for like they
got a gift certificate to get like a massage at
a spa day. The cars just go to really nice

(04:23):
restaurants and bottles of wine, some like amazing gift baskets.
And I was just like very kind of disappointed of mine.
I felt like it was just thrown together at the
last minute, and it was like it was kind of insulting.

Speaker 1 (04:36):
We've got mister gift basket himself on the other line.
Do you mind if we bring him on and let
him explain himself a little bit?

Speaker 2 (04:42):
Yeah, that's fine, Like you there, Yes, I'm here.

Speaker 1 (04:45):
Do you really do this?

Speaker 2 (04:46):
Fine? Well, first of all, you don't look the gift
horse in the mouth. Everyone knows that, all right, okay, okay,
And yes I do give gift baskets. I got the
idea from Derek Jeter.

Speaker 1 (04:56):
Oh that go back, so Jeter the cheater Now, Oh no.

Speaker 2 (05:05):
I mean you got to admit the guy has a
great track record though, so if I can even get close.

Speaker 4 (05:09):
To that, okay, And where do you usually get them from?

Speaker 5 (05:12):
Where do you get little stuff from?

Speaker 2 (05:14):
It's like the places where I delivered to they it's
like a gratuities. You know, it's like they can't give
you like straight up cash, and you know they know
you're doing a great service for them, so they're like, here,
take this, but on this one. And I feel bad
for Megan, and I apologize, like I had had kind
of a dry spell for like two weeks, and so
what I got as far as you know, schwag and
stuff was not good. I mean, you can't you can't.

(05:37):
You know, you can't look down on a free twenty
five bucks from what a burger.

Speaker 4 (05:40):
That's true.

Speaker 3 (05:41):
I don't think twenty five dollars from what a burger
is like such a nice It's not that nice compared
to the other baskets. Oh well, that nice a gesture.

Speaker 2 (05:51):
It's kind of for me to be honest. We just
gave you a nice gift. We had a good time out.
To be honest, you're being a little shallow.

Speaker 5 (05:56):
So Megan, let me ask you this, if the gifts
would have been better, would you have called him back?

Speaker 3 (06:01):
Absolutely, That's like one hundred percent of the reason I
did not call back. I just think that, like Blake,
you should like you should either like step up your
game with the baskets or just stop doing it all together.
My basket minute, My basket was just cheap. It was
like T shirts, and.

Speaker 5 (06:19):
She just embarrassed because the other women were like that
all you got.

Speaker 4 (06:23):
At first, I was like, oh, the nerve of Blake
giving baskets and Derek Jeter styl And now I'm like,
I can't believe you knew you went on the date
with him to get a basket.

Speaker 5 (06:31):
You did.

Speaker 3 (06:33):
He he just needs to stop doing it or do
nicer baskets. I'm sorry, guys, I really love this show,
but I have to go.

Speaker 1 (06:40):
Oh she's gone now. She was so can we say
because she's gone now, she's so shallow?

Speaker 2 (06:45):
Dude?

Speaker 3 (06:45):
She yes?

Speaker 5 (06:46):
As kiln Are you kind of feeling like I've been cheated?
I've never got ever gift baskets.

Speaker 4 (06:52):
Never I thought that same thing.

Speaker 1 (06:53):
Hey, Blake, if you need some extra stuff for your
gift baskets, swing by the ninety three Q Studios. We
can give you some koozies and some shirts and stuff
like that.
