Speaker 1 (00:00):
Welcome this morning to second date update. Unfortunately, I hate
like welcoming to you like it's a it's a great thing. Virginia,
good morning, Hi, good.
Speaker 2 (00:08):
Morning, Thank you for having me on the show. I
never thought I'd be calling you guys for this, but
you know, I'm guys, I'm a little embarrassed.
Speaker 3 (00:17):
This is don't be embarrassed.
Speaker 4 (00:18):
Seriously, happens to the best of It happens all the time,
literally on a daily basis.
Speaker 3 (00:22):
Here we're here to help you out.
Speaker 4 (00:24):
Virginia, tell us a little bit about how you met Jay.
Speaker 3 (00:27):
We'll walk you through it.
Speaker 2 (00:28):
Okay, Well, I was at a work happy hour thing
and he was sitting at a bar with a couple
guys from Mark. I went up to bar to order
a drink and we, you know, we struck up a conversation.
Next thing you know, it's ten pm and we've been
sitting there talking like the whole time, Like there was
no time that passed. It was just an immediate connection.
Speaker 1 (00:50):
Wow, that's that's a long time to be talking to somebody.
So that was So that was your date, and did
you all go on another date?
Speaker 2 (00:56):
Well, we ended up continuing the date. We end up
up going to the Starbucks at the Galerya because nothing
else would be open that we knew about. And we
you know, it was just like this, We had this
attraction to each other and neither of us wanted to
lead it. And honestly, I was exhausted.
Speaker 3 (01:14):
Wow.
Speaker 4 (01:15):
So it was like so much of an attraction that
you were just like, we have to continue, we cannot
go home. That was pretty fast to build a connection
that strong.
Speaker 2 (01:22):
I know it was and I'm not normally I like this,
but I just couldn't get enough of him. It was
like there was this magnet. It kept drawing us towards
each other. That makes pretty sense.
Speaker 1 (01:35):
How did the date ended? Was there like a kiss
at the end of the night? Were you do anything
like that? I?
Speaker 2 (01:40):
I submit, he got a little quiet before the end
of the night, and I just assumed he was tired
like I was. But now I'm thinking perhaps there was
more to that. I just I don't know what could
have happened. I don't really know.
Speaker 4 (01:53):
Well, we can try to get him on the phone
and find out from him what happened.
Speaker 3 (01:57):
Is that good with you?
Speaker 2 (01:59):
Yeah, that's that would be great. Thank you, you got it.
Speaker 3 (02:01):
We'll do that coming up. At eight thirty seven on
n I three Q Second.
Speaker 1 (02:04):
Date Update, Virginia and Jay went out for a happy
hour date. They turned into a late night drinking conversation
at Starbucks. Yeah, the one in the gallery that's opened
super late. Now she's found out that he isn't calling
back after the date night. He's got really quiet, hasn't
called her back? What the heck is going on? We're
going to find out and call Jay right now and
get answers with ninety three Q Second Date Updates.
Speaker 3 (02:27):
Hello, Hi, I'm looking for Jake.
Speaker 5 (02:29):
This is Jay. Who is that?
Speaker 6 (02:30):
Hi?
Speaker 2 (02:30):
Ja?
Speaker 4 (02:30):
My name is Erica and I'm calling from NIA three Q.
I also have Rigs on the phone with me.
Speaker 6 (02:35):
What's up, dude?
Speaker 5 (02:35):
Oh my god? Hey, what's up?
Speaker 1 (02:37):
How's it going?
Speaker 2 (02:38):
You know we are?
Speaker 5 (02:38):
Hey? Yeah, I do.
Speaker 6 (02:39):
I don't know if you guys remember, but we met
at the rodeo last year and you guys took a
picture with me.
Speaker 1 (02:44):
We had a lot of people, but I'm sure that
we did. That means we're basically best friends though, right are? Yeah?
Speaker 6 (02:51):
We are definitely friend like bah I like, if you
guys are calling me for a second date update, then
we're probably not friends.
Speaker 4 (02:57):
I guess the fact that you even said that made
this so awkward because we're actually calling you.
Speaker 3 (03:05):
For second date update.
Speaker 4 (03:06):
But to be fair, it is kind of your fault
because if you didn't want to be on second date update,
you should have called Virginia back.
Speaker 5 (03:12):
You know that, Like you know what, That's fair.
Speaker 6 (03:15):
But Eric, before you scold me for not calling her back,
let me tell you.
Speaker 5 (03:19):
Why I didn't call it, and maybe you might be
on my side be time.
Speaker 3 (03:22):
I don't know, Jay, Let's see what you got there.
Speaker 5 (03:24):
You are okay.
Speaker 6 (03:25):
I have to say that I'm disappointed like that night
ended the way it did, because like all the signs
were pointing to like something that could have been amazing
for both of us. Like I mean, I feel like
I had like I feel like I'd known her for
years and there was this comfortable vibe pretty immediately.
Speaker 1 (03:41):
Yes, she said that to us. She said, that's that's
why she was perplexed, is why you didn't call her back?
Why what happened?
Speaker 5 (03:47):
Oh she said that too.
Speaker 1 (03:48):
Yeah, she said there was like an immediate attraction. She said,
there was a great vibe, Like you couldn't start.
Speaker 4 (03:53):
Talking, Jay stalling. I feel like what happened why didn't
you call her back?
Speaker 5 (03:57):
Okay? O? Wait, like, okay, we went to go to
Stars to do a night cap, if you will, and.
Speaker 6 (04:02):
She has this really ridiculous drink order, and like I
have sisters, so I get it, like girls are very
specific about their coffee orders, but it's like a twelve
words long order and it's just like it's too much.
Speaker 4 (04:15):
Don you can't call her back because of her coffee order?
Speaker 6 (04:18):
No, no, no, it's not like that at all.
Speaker 5 (04:20):
It's not like that.
Speaker 6 (04:21):
Like I always said, I understand that, like most girls
have a difficult coffee order.
Speaker 5 (04:24):
I get that part.
Speaker 1 (04:25):
Erica can't judge that your order is ridiculously complicated.
Speaker 4 (04:29):
Yeah, Bantie is camel monkey upside down with extra extra
caramel dress. Well, add two pumps of brown sugar vanilla
colo foam, and don't forget the caramel crunch topping.
Speaker 5 (04:37):
What oh holy moly, I'm.
Speaker 4 (04:40):
Not running around. I'm not playing around anyway. It's not
about me. Go on, Jay, what Virginia do?
Speaker 5 (04:45):
Okay?
Speaker 6 (04:46):
So Virginia gets this super difficult drink and apparently it
feels like it doesn't have enough ice, Like how could
they mess this up? So she asked for more ice
than the briefed ass if she could put ice in
a separate cup for her, because the cup that she
has is already filled to the brim with coffee and
all that cold foam stuff.
Speaker 1 (05:02):
All right, that makes sense.
Speaker 6 (05:04):
Yeah, I mean you think so, but not to Virginia.
Virginia says, and I quote, not my job to make
the coffee, right, So I'm doing extra work right.
Speaker 5 (05:13):
Now for real? Yeah, for real.
Speaker 6 (05:17):
I thought she was kidding, like I think the Briisa
thought so too, so she kind of laughed. And Virginia
lays the intern says, Look, he paid way too much
for this coffee for you to be giving me attitude
about something so easy for you to do. If you
didn't do it right the first time, we wouldn't have
this conversation.
Speaker 5 (05:32):
You are very rude.
Speaker 2 (05:34):
Oh wow, I'm sorry, but I can't stay quiet anymore.
Hij it's Virginia, Okay.
Speaker 5 (05:41):
Yeah, I knew you'd be on the line.
Speaker 2 (05:42):
Yeah. Well, I know for a fact that my coffee
order costs nine dollars, which is why I volunteer to
pay for it. But you were being a gentleman, which
you know I.
Speaker 5 (05:52):
Loved, by the way.
Speaker 6 (05:53):
Listen, I just want to I'm going to cut you
off real quick. I just I wasn't learned about the
price of your coffee, Virginia. I was just happy to
continue our conversation. But after the way you behaved, it
was just a huge red flag to me, Like you
made a woman cry on our first date. It wasn't
even a first date.
Speaker 2 (06:09):
Look, you know what, I'm just sick and tired of
these baristas having such a crappy attitude all the time.
I mean, no one told them that they had to
work there. If they don't like their job, they can get.
Speaker 1 (06:18):
A new job.
Speaker 2 (06:19):
But we all have to pay so much money, and
when we get treated like I mean, is that okay?
Speaker 4 (06:25):
I mean, I agree that we pay way too much money, right,
but can you imagine how many rude people they have
to deal with on a daily basis, but want their
coffee exactly right like we do, especially late at night too.
Speaker 2 (06:36):
I mean, look, it's just not my problem, you know.
I mean, I just wanted my nine dollars coffee to
be right. Is it too much tech yet? Ice in
my ice coffee?
Speaker 6 (06:46):
That wasn't it though? Like the barista told her that
she was sorry that she just wasn't being rude, right?
Speaker 1 (06:52):
Don't you think that's a little excessive? Virginia, Hold, look
like that.
Speaker 5 (06:56):
There's more.
Speaker 6 (06:56):
Then Virginia starts raising her voice. So now everyone's like
looking at this, and she says, just make my damn coffee. Right,
this is literally all I'm asking. Please redo it. She
yelled that in front of everyone.
Speaker 2 (07:09):
Virginia, Look, I said, please.
Speaker 4 (07:13):
That's your only comeback. Maybe you need to start making
your coffee at home if it's that big of a deal.
Speaker 2 (07:18):
No, Look, I just don't like people that can't do
their jobs. So yeah, hey, if you don't like that
I make sure people do their jobs, then yes, maybe
we are not right for each other. And you know what,
Jay probably had a crush on her, and that's why
he's been so defensive.
Speaker 3 (07:34):
What oh, Jay, you're actually a good guy.
Speaker 1 (07:36):
I appreciate you taking our call.
Speaker 6 (07:39):
You know, I appreciate it too, honestly, because I feel
like I dodged a bullet right now, Like.
Speaker 2 (07:44):
God, go get your stupid barista now, Jay, since you're
so protective over.
Speaker 4 (07:48):
Her, Hi, Virginia, can you do a favorite? Virginia, can
you stand the line? I want to talk to you
off here?
Speaker 1 (07:53):
Okay, yeah, thank you Jay, have a beautiful day and
please a best of luck out there.
Speaker 5 (07:58):
Oh thank you so much. I will
