Marissa thought she was on the path to a second date after spending a great evening with Caleb, dinner, drinks, and even meeting his adorable new puppy. But when a neighbor dropped off a misdelivered package, Marissa made what she thought was a harmless joke: “Don’t worry, I’m not the wife. I’m the fun one!” That single line detonated a chain reaction that turned Caleb’s entire apartment complex against him. Find out all the neighborhood drama on a BRAND NEW Second Date Update!

Speaker 1 (00:00):
All right.

Speaker 2 (00:00):
This morning, we're talking with Marissa, who says that she
went on a great date to flirty date if you will, recently,
but she's having some issues with a romantic connection since then.
Hey Marissa, good morning, Hey, good morning. Tell us a
little bit about what's going on in your dating life
right now. You went on a date with a guy
named Caleb.

Speaker 3 (00:19):
Yeah, so I just met him on an app and like, yeah,
I know, correct, But I mean like even through the app,
there was like a lot of chemistry, Like we were,
you know, messaging back and forth a lot for the date.
And so we've just only gone off the one time
we went to dinner.

Speaker 4 (00:40):
How was the dinner? What was the vibe like at
the dinner? It all continued even into the conversation face
to face.

Speaker 5 (00:44):
Yes, I thought so.

Speaker 3 (00:46):
Anyways, I mean from my perspective, like, you know, I
had a lot of fun. It seemed, you know, like
the conversation just flowed easily. We were both very flirty,
you know, like I think, get least that much went
well because he ended up inviting me back to his
place to meet his new puppy, puppy trick, right, But

(01:10):
like it's you know, I don't know. I feel like
it was that was innocent enough, like you know, he
did have a new puppy. Yeah, but I'm saying it
wasn't like he was just literally oh, you could meet
my dog, and then he like started being like super
breadths of anything.

Speaker 2 (01:26):
But how many other people have met this new puppy?
Is my Yeah, that's my question.

Speaker 3 (01:32):
I mean maybe I don't know. It seemed all good,
like you know, his apartment was like fine, like everything
was normal there, and so we just kind of like
sat and like we like opened a bottle of wine
just like hung out, drank a little bit. We're still
just like talking. And then I'm pretty sure I do

(01:52):
know what the issue is that for what happened?

Speaker 1 (01:56):
What's the issue?

Speaker 3 (01:57):
Okay, so a neighbor comes over and knocks on the
door to bring him like a miss delivered package, like
they got his package, and so he answers the door
and I don't even know what made me do this,
which I just I don't know, like spur the moment,
I just like popped my head out and I'm like, oh,
don't worry, I'm not the wife, I'm the fun one.
Why I don't know, it was like just like a

(02:21):
stupid joke, like it just I don't know, like I
don't know, I just did it. And so then the
neighbor got kind of weird. She's just like I gat
like she just like totally silent, just like stares for
a minute and like walks away, doesn't say anything. And
it's at that point Kate Libs mood just like totally shifted.
Like like I said, it was like fun and flirty

(02:42):
and like we were it's just easy to talk to
each other. And then he just kind of starts being like, well,
you know, I know you said you work tomorrow, right,
like you probably need to get going, and just you
know what I mean, like kind of rushes me out. Yeah,
and then I have not heard from him since.

Speaker 2 (02:57):
Sounds like the neighborhoods lacking a sense of humor.

Speaker 5 (03:00):
Yeah, you were just joking around. I would I laughed
at you.

Speaker 2 (03:03):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (03:04):
I think it was like a dumb thing, like, yeah,
I wish I wouldn't have set it right, But I
didn't mean anything by it. It was just like I said,
I don't know what came over it, just like spontaneous.
I just I just blurted it out. I thought it'd
be funny, and I guess it was not.

Speaker 4 (03:15):
Let's get him on the phone maybe and see if
we can find out if that's really that's what it was,
or if there was something else that happened during Duffy neighborhood.

Speaker 3 (03:23):
Yeah right, yeah, okay.

Speaker 4 (03:24):
All right, we'll give him a call. Coming up next
to ninety three Q Second Date Update, Mercy.

Speaker 1 (03:29):
And Caleb met on an app and then they went
on a date and he said, hey, why don't you
come back to my house and meet my new puppy.
Well he actually did have a new puppy and the
whole day went really well. So what happened? Why is
Caleb not calling her back? Find out now? On Second
Date Update?

Speaker 5 (03:44):
Hello, can I speak to Caleb please? This is Caleb Caleb,
It's Riggs, Kaylen and Erica from ninety three Q. How
are you sir?

Speaker 2 (03:52):
Morning?

Speaker 5 (03:53):
Uh?

Speaker 6 (03:53):
Morrian, I'm I'm all right.

Speaker 4 (03:55):
We're calling you about second date Update. I'm just going
to tell you right now, I'm not going to mince words.
We need to know what the heck went on when
you had a lady over the other night, when Marissa
came over to meet your new puppy.

Speaker 6 (04:04):
Oh, yeah, yeah, okay.

Speaker 5 (04:09):
So yeah, okay, what, okay, what?

Speaker 6 (04:13):
First of all, I'm not mad at her.

Speaker 2 (04:16):
Okay, weird way to start this.

Speaker 1 (04:17):
Aw why would you be mad at her?

Speaker 6 (04:19):
Yeah no, I just okay, I was just I panicked
and uh, she just said something. She said something and
I and I just blew up. And I've been trying
to keep it under control. It just blew it blew
up something in my in my life.

Speaker 2 (04:32):
And is it what she said to your neighbor about
not being the wife?

Speaker 6 (04:35):
Yes, how did you have a wife?

Speaker 2 (04:38):
Yeah?

Speaker 6 (04:38):
No, no, no, no, no, no, I don't have a wife.
No okay, yeah no, but it was it was with
the neighbor. Okay, here's okay. I don't even know how
to start. But basically, I have an upstairs neighbor that's
an older woman, and when I moved in, she she
decided that I was married. So she yeah, she just
decided one day that I was married. I never said

(04:58):
that I was.

Speaker 5 (05:00):
Said you weren't right, Yeah, no, I told her that
I wasn't.

Speaker 6 (05:02):
And when I told her that, she just doubled down
and got more intense about it. You know, don't brush
her her away. You know, she cares about you, you know,
she but she's you know, will leave notes and makes
goods at my door for the happy couple, And if
she sees me in the lobby talking to another woman,
she'll warn them away because of my wife. And you know,
I just, yeah, I just try to stop engaging with
her entirely. But yeah, she's made up in a whole

(05:25):
like imaginary wife for me.

Speaker 2 (05:27):
Ruh, I would maybe called the police on your neighbor.
She sounds like a weird that's that's a weird obsession thing.

Speaker 6 (05:33):
Okay, yeah, I definitely thought so too. I just didn't
know what to do. And literally, when Marissa's over, she
came over and said, like the worst thing she could
have said to the.

Speaker 4 (05:44):
No.

Speaker 6 (05:44):
I know that she didn't know. I know, and I agree,
I totally agree. But my life is just kind of
blown up since then, you know, like now the whole
the whole apartment complex, things that I'm a cheater and that, uh,
you know, every time I passed this one, she's like,
you know, she'll talk to anybody nearby. She's been Also,
she's slipping notes under my door saying I'm an adulterer,

(06:05):
adultery is a sin, and she's called my phone leaving
Bible versus messages.

Speaker 2 (06:10):
This is like, I'm serious, this is a stalker thing.
You should definitely contact somebody.

Speaker 5 (06:15):
If you're an HOA or a management to somebody at
the apartment.

Speaker 6 (06:18):
Yeah, yeah, there's definitely.

Speaker 1 (06:20):
I don't know.

Speaker 6 (06:21):
I haven't had much help from them in the past
for any other things, so I'm worried that they won't
be much help for this. But I mean, yeah, that's
a place to start. I definitely I've been just trying
to shelter in place and hide because.

Speaker 5 (06:33):
It can we bring uh, Marissa back on the phone.

Speaker 6 (06:39):
Maybe she's here.

Speaker 4 (06:41):
Yes, she's been listening in that gigging just now in
the background.

Speaker 5 (06:45):
Oh yeah, yeah, yeah Marissa.

Speaker 3 (06:47):
There, Yeah, I'm here. Ter the odds.

Speaker 6 (06:55):
Yeah, no, it's it's it's been blowing me since it happened.
And I'm sorry that I contact you. I just didn't
want to make the situation worse, you know, I mean, I.

Speaker 3 (07:04):
Get it, Like, I feel terrible. Obviously I had no
idea you had a crazy neighbor. I wouldn't have said it. Yeah, Like,
I mean, I just I feel really bad that this
is happening. I mean, I would like to see you
again if that's possible, and just maybe we can just
not go to your place.

Speaker 6 (07:23):
I guess that could be, that could be the right move.
I know, I know that you didn't and I my
life just became chaos overnight. So I'm sorry that I
didn't reach out and I was just kind of in
my head. But hearing from you again is so good.
And uh, yeah, maybe I need to start the long
process of moving out.

Speaker 5 (07:39):
That sucks that he would have to move up because
of this woman, though, Yeah, I would really do.

Speaker 2 (07:43):
I'm going to double down, triple down on you. Should
you should contact someone about that situation?

Speaker 5 (07:49):
Absolutely?

Speaker 4 (07:50):
Yes, yeah, right after that, after you call Marissa back
and a arrange a second date that we'll be happy
to pay for. If that's all right with both of ua.
You guys are cool with the second day, that would
be great.

Speaker 3 (08:00):
I mean that's why I called. I was hoping for
a second date.

Speaker 4 (08:03):
I we just want to make sure both you know,
both parties consent to it, so we're going to pay
for it.

Speaker 1 (08:07):
All we need is a little communication. But I'm so
glad you guys don't do it because we'd have a job.

Speaker 5 (08:11):
So thank you. Thanks for that.
