Több kutatás is rámutatott már, hogy a pártállás nagy szerepet játszik abban, hogy milyen híreket fogyasztunk. Egy friss reprezentatív felmérés azonban feltárta, hogy az információs buborékok egyáltalán nem olyan elszigeteltek egymástól, mint ahogy gondoljuk:
az emberek többsége a saját buborékján kívül is fogyaszt híreket, olyanokat is, amiket egyáltalán nem tart hitelesnek.
Miért van ez? Segítheti-e ez a tudatos hírfogyasztást, vagy inkább csak a reggeli kávé helyett idegeskedünk egyet?
