C'est une machine de guerre de l'information francophone en ligne. Hugo Travers, alias Hugo Décrypte, 28 ans, est une star sur les réseaux sociaux.
Le Youtubeur aux plus de 20 millions d'abonnés (toutes plateformes confondues) a gagné ses lettres de noblesse en interviewant les plus grandes personnalités de notre époque: de Volodymyr Zelensky à Emmanuel Macron en passant par Bill Gates, Stromae ou Angèle. Il a même posé une question à Donald Trump dans le Bureau ovale.
Aujourd'hui, Hugo Décrypte, c'est une équipe d'une quarantaine de personnes, dont 16 journalistes titulaires de la carte de presse. Le Youtubeur vient d'ouvrir des rédactions locales à Marseille, Lyon et au Québec pour offrir une information plus proche à ses abonnés.
Il est loin le temps où Hugo Travers réalisait des petites vidéos alors qu'il n'était qu'étudiant à Science Po. En dix ans, il a créé une véritable entreprise et nourrit sa success-story de nouveaux projets.
C'est lors d'un passage éclair à Bruxelles pour le lancement d'une BD "Hugo Décrypte en Russie" que nous l'avons rencontré. Hugo Travers se confie sur le développement de sa marque, sa vision du journalisme et ses défis d'avenir.
