Speaker 1 (00:00):
You guys were struggling in that first half and then
not struggling in the third quarter. What did you see
the difference was.
Speaker 2 (00:07):
I mean, it just really comes down to just execution, man.
I think I had had a couple of drops early
that that's obviously not characteristic and that's not what we
want on offense to continue to move the ball, you know,
on third down, especially down there tight they give them
get just find a way to just hold onto that.
So that that's part of it, and I think there's
a couple opportunities like that just for others as well,
(00:28):
but just finding a way to make the play and
keep the drives going as an offensive player.
Speaker 3 (00:32):
Did the defense pick you guys up?
Speaker 1 (00:34):
Especially with that goal line standard?
Speaker 2 (00:37):
They did? They carried us all day. But that's why
it's it's a team sport. We need them sometimes there'll
be times where they need us. So you just got
to find a way to, you know, at least play
complimentary ball to.
Speaker 1 (00:48):
Win on a day where the offense isn't necessarily executing.
Speaker 3 (00:51):
What does you think that says about your team?
Speaker 2 (00:54):
I mean it says a lot. Obviously they're a team
that's that's batter than bruised right now, and you know
they miss missing their quarterback, but that's something that we're
not gonna apologize for. Obviously, got to go out there
and whoever you can only eat was in front of you.
So you know, I feel like we did a good
job of figuring out a way to win the game.
You know, you can never apologize for any any victory
in this league because it's so tough to uh to
(01:16):
win a game. So getting it done is is good.
It was a weird one, but it's we can move
on and turn the page with the w.
Speaker 1 (01:22):
Atleast from your mind.
Speaker 2 (01:23):
When you saw pook A limping off the field to
the locker room, yeah, I mean you're worried about him
to a certain extent, but it's still Pooking the cop
at the end of the day, and you know how
tough he is that you know likely it's likely that
he'll be able to come out of it. Obviously wasn't
feeling amazing, but I'm sure with a little bit of
time right now, going into this next week, uh, you
have time to heal up and get back out there.
(01:46):
Thanks Thanks.
Speaker 1 (01:49):
Nate. A new franchise single game record with seventeen total
tackles today. Just you know what, what can you say
about the day you had and also just the day
the defense as a whole had today. Yeah, what a
blessing to play behind this defense up front. You know,
I can't do what I do without those guys, and
you know, shout shout out to Shula, shout out to
Money and just it's a whole operation. It's not just me,
(02:11):
you know, it's a it's a team, team game. So
shout out to those guys. Grateful for the opportunity to
be in those positions, and uh, you know, just happy
for the win.
Speaker 2 (02:19):
Several times you guys stopped them on fourth down today,
but nothing bigger than the one right before the half.
Speaker 3 (02:24):
Uh.
Speaker 2 (02:24):
And that goal line stand? How big was that and
how much of a carryover was that?
Speaker 1 (02:28):
That's huge? I think you you know, you check the
temperature your defense in those moments and you see what
you're made out of. So you know, for for four downs,
there are four tough downs, you know, really buffling up.
And it's set the tone not only for this game,
for the second half, but for the for the future.
And you know what we're capable of. Talk about this
win a little bit heavier and early downs after that
(02:50):
first drive, How did that adjustment kind of impact what
you were able to do? And as a defense, yeah,
you know that they were moving the rock pretty well.
Credit to them and you know Derek Derek's are great back,
got great vision, their on line, super great holding on
to double team. So we you know, we made that
in game adjustment. We're able to get some stops on
first down. Winning first down really helped us be successful,
and second and third down we can get multiple. So
(03:13):
I think it was a great adjustment and something that
helped us throughout the game. We talk about that kind
of total unit around you. What's the white to play
the guy like quit and wait with the way he
controls on the back end and then you know the
day he had today. Yeah, I mean, what an incredible player,
so smart, he really controls everything back there. Me and
him worked great together getting everybody lined up. Just a
crazy athlete, multiple being able to put him in the
(03:34):
nickel in the safety and something that he manipulates blocks
for us by coming on pressures, he changes the gap
schemes and just just a guy that we're so grateful
to have here.
Speaker 2 (03:43):
Thanks appreciate it.
Speaker 3 (03:45):
Oh no, man, I just think, you know, I don't
really know what it was. Honestly. We just came out
to a slow start. There's times that happens, and so
we got to be able to stay connected, you know,
continue to keep fighting, continue to keep going, and you know,
coming the second half, we came out and we you know.
Speaker 1 (03:59):
Do who we do.
Speaker 3 (04:00):
So I don't think it's anything to do. We don't
wanna make excuses, man, We.
Speaker 1 (04:03):
Just gotta start better.
Speaker 3 (04:03):
That's all.
Speaker 2 (04:04):
Finally out last week, even down the touchdown this week,
how you feeling just about the season or just keep sacking?
Speaker 1 (04:09):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (04:09):
Feeling good, you know, man, just if we're long as
we're winning and long as we're you know, playing the
type of ball that we know how to play. Man,
it's just it's all good.
Speaker 2 (04:15):
Man.
Speaker 3 (04:15):
We were able to go out here, come out with
a win in a tough environment. It's a tough team
and so you know, it's always a blessing. So you
gotta be grateful for the wins that you do get.
Speaker 2 (04:24):
The last one for me obviously going uh over to London. Yeah,
how you guys feel about just staying in Baltimore for
the weak Oh.
Speaker 3 (04:29):
That's gonna be cool. You know, I'm excited to be here.
You know my friend Kyle Hamilton. Now that we're not
in theemies anymore, you know, I'll be able to see him,
hang out with him, and also get great food out here.
So can't GOEP playing. I'm excited to go to London.
