Speaker 1 (00:00):
Another dominating for quarterbacks by the defense, Which what's that
thing that you guys.

Speaker 2 (00:05):
We got a rift in the team. We're not messing
with the offense. Man three players in the third court
and I'm not messing with the offense. Now, real stuff though, Now,
it was a great game to see the offense be
able to dominate like that, to be able to keep
that defense on the field, keep us warm and fresh.
But we can go out there. Email makes his pick,
Layman gets his forced fumble. It's a good feeling.

Speaker 3 (00:22):
What do you guys try to do against a rookie
quarterback who has, you know, almost no experience in the NFL.

Speaker 2 (00:27):
And we just try to press when we try to
get after him, making really feel it. You know, b
why he got his hit. Call it how you want it.
But you know, we really just try to get stuff
like that, really get after him, even if we're just
pushing the old lineman into him, making him feel like
the party of collapsing.

Speaker 4 (00:41):
How do you look at this defense as far as
you guys really really coming on. It's starting to really
click at the right time, and we play how we
want to play. If we want to go out there
and dominate, we can go out there and dominate. Nothing
they did, they adn't really earn any points. Everything they
got we gave to them is in the city Championship.

Speaker 5 (00:58):
I'm sorry, do anything for you us to see another team.

Speaker 2 (01:00):
In the city.

Speaker 1 (01:01):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:02):
We started our team meeting late last night watching the game.
I'm in I'm in the team meeting. I always show up,
like right before the meeting starts. I'm in there alone.
I'm thinking, I'm late. I'm I'm calling people and stuff. Uh,
we're not watching them be able to dominate like that.
Get that way and bring that, Will, says back to
l As. It gets us hyped up, and now we
know we gotta be next.

Speaker 1 (01:17):
How did you describe what it was like here in
the locker room after the game.

Speaker 6 (01:21):
It was hyped up.

Speaker 2 (01:21):
Anybody hyped up. Davonte's turned up, Stafford come in smiling,
big cheesy, everybody's happy. Me and b Y had beef
all week. You know, we finally squashed our beating. It
was a good feel to see anybody hyped up.

Speaker 6 (01:39):
Can you talk about this defense, how you're progressing. Yeah, yeah,
we're progressing great. I think when you look the way
we started the season to where we are now. We've
improved in every facet. Still a lot of still a
lot of things to do, you know, I gotta be
better in a lot of situations. But I think that
we're growing at a great rate and we're going to
peek at the right time. Another punch out for you

(02:00):
this year and just what'd you see on that play
and what's it like being able to continually make those
plays for the Stefens. Yeah, something that you know we're
hunting all game that one. You know, Kamara was running
hard all game, Taysom was running hard a game. There
was opportunities to presented themselves down one at the right
time and saw it and I took the shot and
worked out.

Speaker 5 (02:19):
What's the biggest area you feel like you guys have
improved when you mentioned that growth just over the last
few weeks as a defense.

Speaker 6 (02:25):
Yeah, I think just playing playing together, you know, mixing
in the rush and the coverage, playing off each other,
stop with the run first and foremost and and and
everybody's just getting better. I think you see that on
every level. The D lines is we can have it
in the secondary again, sticky and coverage, so playing off
each other is definitely what's working last one.

Speaker 2 (02:44):
Last and see someone like as you had a couple
of tough games.

Speaker 6 (02:48):
Earlier in the year and to come back the way
he has.

Speaker 1 (02:50):
Especially today, interception, big plays on third.

Speaker 2 (02:53):
Down, like what did you stop from?

Speaker 6 (02:55):
Yeah, the league's then perfect game you're gonna have, You're
gonna have tough games. You can't have your best game
every game. He's done nothing but go to work every
day in practice, and he's getting better each week. Just
like everybody happy for him to get his first one.
It's gonna be the first of many. But what are
you know, true ballplayer? And like I said, it's the NFL.
Those guys get paid to everybody's gonna make plays and
can't have your best game every game. Thanks, thanks guys.

Speaker 1 (03:17):
Uh I feel I feel great. We won the football
game one Sunday, and uh they're always bumps and bruises
that with it, And uh, I'm gonna enjoy getting some
sleep tonight for sure.

Speaker 6 (03:27):
What was your bunk that you had your chest today?

Speaker 1 (03:29):
Uh? Man, the guy number fifty six on the side,
we're coming up out of contact point and he definitely
weighs heavier than I do. But uh, we got the
first down, so that's what a matter is talked the
Ravens game.

Speaker 5 (03:43):
At the Ravens Ravens game, you were asking to get
back in after your injury. Are you doing that today
or how did you approach that?

Speaker 1 (03:50):
Actually, when I walked back out, we were we were
right on the goal line, so to be able to
score and talking to coach if you needed me to
go back out there, and then uh didn't didn't really
need me to feel like the need to go back
out there and it would be now of recovery to
prepare for next week.

Speaker 2 (04:05):
Friday night.

Speaker 7 (04:07):
Get you to go to the high school football game
on Friday night.

Speaker 1 (04:10):
I wanted to see I've seen Chris Henry Junior on
on the social media. I know Saint John Bosco on
Modern Day or some of the bigger schools across the nation. So, uh,
there's been a long time since I've gone to Friday
night lights. And it took me back to memory lane
and prepared to come back this week. It was a
nice rejuvenation on a Friday night. When you have another.

Speaker 5 (04:29):
Receiver who can score touchdowns?

Speaker 3 (04:32):
What does it do for you?

Speaker 5 (04:33):
Again, because you know when you get near the goal line,
they're not the focus sign.

Speaker 1 (04:37):
I think it's exciting. I mean, I feel like we
both draw so much attention and the opportunity for him
to go out there and do what I think he
does best. The touchdown records for whoever's are close by,
I just know that he's coming every week.

Speaker 2 (04:50):
A two minutimum, I think, is where we're at.

Speaker 1 (04:52):
Is kind of where we're feeling. But it makes it
so fun when the offense is coing touchdowns. We feel
great about however we get in.

Speaker 4 (04:58):
The end zone.

Speaker 3 (04:59):
Talk about a three game winning streak means to you, guys,
uh and the growth during this time.

Speaker 1 (05:05):
I think coach had mentioned it's just something continue to
play complimentary football, the opportunities that we have to execute.
I think first was getting upset that they only had
three plays in the third quarter, and as an offensive guy,
that means that we were able to convert on third
downs to continue to execute our game plan, and then
also feel like we were walking down a defender to
get an end zone.

Speaker 2 (05:25):
All right, thanks, thank you guys.

Speaker 3 (05:27):
Have the field to get your first interception with the Rams.

Speaker 7 (05:30):
It feels great. You know you always preaching getting the
ball and I finally was able to get my hands
on one of day Uh, you know it was in
the zone and uh it was a scrum with Direlli.
He threw me the ball undercut and yeah, when you.

Speaker 3 (05:44):
Get that first one, you guys often talk about things
starting to roll to get that first one out of
the way, so to speak, What what does that.

Speaker 7 (05:51):
Do for you kind of going forward to Oh, you know,
that's definitely a confidence booster, you know, just going getting
the first one out of the way. So hopefully then
we say to catch a couple more.

Speaker 4 (05:59):
You know, players look for like their first touchdown, it's
a significant moment in their careers.

Speaker 1 (06:03):
That similar for a defensive player.

Speaker 7 (06:06):
Oh yeah, you know it's the first one on the season.
So that's a big that's a big turning point for me.
And just like I said, I continue hopefully to continue
to get more.

Speaker 3 (06:12):
How do you see time of possession in this game?
You guys dominated in that respect.

Speaker 7 (06:16):
Offense did a great job keeping their defense on the
field and letting us get breaks. So you know that's
always a big positive when you're not on the field
as much, and we're also scoring points and holding them
from scoring points.

Speaker 5 (06:27):
So yeah, you talked about how you how much you
work on your tackling, the past year. So when you
have players like at on open field one against Tayson
hillis what does that do for your confidence or validating
kind of the work that you put in there.

Speaker 7 (06:40):
Honestly, just doing my job and uh you know the
other not the ten guys on the field expecting me
to make that talk and so I got to do it.

Speaker 4 (06:46):
So yes, doing my job.

Speaker 3 (06:47):
How do you read the growth here with the three
game winning street, the growth of the team overall with
this winning street?

Speaker 7 (06:53):
You know, it's just a confidence booster special for the defense,
keeping them keeping a lot of teams off the end zone.
So that's like I said, it's confidence boost all right.

Speaker 6 (07:00):
Ex I think I
