Speaker 1 (00:00):
This is the second time this year already that you
guys walk out of here going we should have won
that game.
Speaker 2 (00:05):
I think it process that so you can move on.
Speaker 3 (00:08):
Yeah, I think we responded last time really well the
next game, you know, so I know we're capable of it.
Speaker 4 (00:15):
Now.
Speaker 3 (00:15):
It's just making sure we don't have this feeling again.
So I think we you know, we get back to work.
We got some a couple of days off here to
you know, learn from what we did wrong, take the
lessons that we did well, and then move on to
the Ravens.
Speaker 4 (00:28):
We've just kind of got in here. I missed your
first answer, But how would you describe the way this
guy this game ended for you guys.
Speaker 3 (00:34):
Yeah, it's disappointing loss. You know, when we let slip
credit to them, they made their plays. We didn't make
enough place, but disappointing, you know, not the outcome we won.
Speaker 1 (00:43):
I have to ask you was the human nature factor
of playing this game? Because they were short needed missing
the quarterback, the two starting receivers, and you know, I'm
just gonna say maybe the defense was just not as
ready as you guys normally are.
Speaker 3 (00:56):
No, we don't. We don't underestimate anybody's the NFL, they
get paid to it doesn't matter who's up. You know,
they're great football players. I don't think we took them lightly.
I just think they made more plays.
Speaker 4 (01:07):
You know, we we.
Speaker 3 (01:07):
Gotta play better, Uh, all four corters in ot there
and give our offense a better chance get a better
field position.
Speaker 1 (01:14):
Thanks thanks those first couple of drives in the first
half where they were able to move the ball pretty
much up and down the field.
Speaker 4 (01:20):
That will Uh.
Speaker 5 (01:21):
I just felt like, you know, ligging the throws and
stuff like that, he would get about out pretty quick,
getting some open guys. Felt like we wouldn't game after
him enough. But uh, and that basically what was happened.
He was getting them all lift ptty quick.
Speaker 3 (01:33):
Emotions are pretty high right now in this locker room.
How do you guys just move on and get ready
for the rooms next week.
Speaker 5 (01:39):
I just feel like you just can't let him beat
'em beat you twice. You just gotta learn from this
and you know, take his ass on motivation.
Speaker 6 (01:44):
Uh.
Speaker 5 (01:45):
It hurts at the same time, like I said, you
can't let 'em beat you to beat you twice, So
you just gotta get back to work next week.
Speaker 3 (01:51):
I don't know what.
Speaker 4 (01:52):
Uh what got the pass usc going in over time?
Speaker 3 (01:54):
That made it?
Speaker 6 (01:54):
What was hard like early in the game, and why
did it start to come together and over time?
Speaker 3 (01:58):
Uh?
Speaker 5 (01:58):
I just felt like, you know, early on, you know,
we went really getting a snap pount like that and
uh went getting off the ball as fast.
Speaker 3 (02:03):
Uh.
Speaker 5 (02:03):
I feel like when we kind of settled down, got
kind of feel for the snap count, started getting off
the bar and rushing better. We getting a little ones
that we wanted and just you know, takeing advantage of it.
Or were you when you guys lose a game like this,
had you have to come back?
Speaker 4 (02:17):
I mean this this is a sting. Guys are yelling.
Guys are just all.
Speaker 5 (02:21):
You know, just adversity. Uh, something that you know we
used to you know, happened last year.
Speaker 3 (02:26):
Uh.
Speaker 5 (02:26):
Just got to learn from it, build on this, you know.
At the same time, like I said.
Speaker 4 (02:29):
You hurt.
Speaker 5 (02:30):
Uh, we got three days off, I got a regroup
bet ready for BOLLI goore next week. That's all we
gotta learn from it.
Speaker 7 (02:35):
And what is the biggest thing that you guys will
be focusing on this weekend at of Baltimore?
Speaker 5 (02:40):
Uh, Like I said, don't let it beat beat us twice. Uh,
learn from our mistakes, h the little things. I just
feel like, you know, early on we kind gave up
fourteen points that quick. Just gotta learn from that. Uh
try to start fast for we had to come back hind.
Speaker 3 (02:52):
You know, to win.
Speaker 4 (02:53):
But just gotta learn from our mistakes. As far as
like how do you process the difficult loss, I don't know.
Speaker 2 (03:03):
I don't know.
Speaker 4 (03:04):
I'm not really sure how to answer that. It's the
ones like that hurt for sure.
Speaker 2 (03:08):
I mean it's that's a game that you know, it's
a good football team, but we we expect to win
a game like that.
Speaker 4 (03:13):
Especially was that you yelling in here?
Speaker 2 (03:17):
No DeVante coach McVeigh said, you know, for himself, he
wasn't a fan of the uh final play there?
Speaker 4 (03:24):
Wh what was your thoughts on that call?
Speaker 2 (03:27):
I mean, I don't not gonna comment on whether or not.
I'm just a fan of it. I'm a If it works,
then I'm a fan of it. If it doesn't then
I'm not. Obviously, I mean that's that's typically how it goes.
But I mean, you gotta you you get d It's
not my job to call plays. That's that's his job,
and uh, you know, I'm I'm sure he beating himself
up over each cause it didn't work. But it like again,
if if we find a way to get the first
(03:48):
of the album, then it's a different, uh conversation when you.
Speaker 1 (03:52):
Have a game like this where there are mistakes in
all three phases, Like, what can you take away from
this as a team to be able to move forward?
Speaker 2 (03:59):
Well, I mean, it's not a lot of you know,
joyous faces in here, but it's it's definitely something to
be said about a team that can play as bad
as what we did, it's still have a shot to
win the game. So we didn't win, so that doesn't help,
but you know it should, it should feel a little
bit promising moving forward, just knowing that we played about
as you know, turnovers, didn't play well early, you know,
(04:22):
didn't didn't help our defense out. Defense wasn't helping us
out early, so it was not complimentary football and still
had a had a chance.
Speaker 4 (04:28):
At the end.
Speaker 2 (04:28):
So I mean, I guess there's something there.
Speaker 4 (04:30):
T is lost one has it bad?
Speaker 3 (04:33):
Is this game the Philly game which almost like you
guys have some many opportunities when you just couldn't close
it Yeah, can you learn from this down the road?
Speaker 4 (04:39):
So you guys learned as a group to be able
to close games out like this?
Speaker 2 (04:42):
Yeah, I mean you think you could learn from that before.
I mean, we we know we gotta close the game out,
but it's it's about executing and and things timing up
at the right time.
Speaker 4 (04:50):
And uh, that didn't have a.
Speaker 5 (04:51):
Person that thanks to Bostiff, Thank thanks, I was tryna
usually have games like this at all as a team.
Speaker 6 (04:58):
How do you sort of process this?
Speaker 4 (05:01):
Uh? Sucks? I don't know. For me, I just gotta
hold onto the ball, you know.
Speaker 7 (05:05):
I feel like I look a team down at the
one yard line, you know, not you know, securing the
one thing that matters and you know, scoring the touchdown.
Speaker 4 (05:11):
So for me, I just you know, I put this
all on me, honestly and just knowing that I could
be better what happened on that fourth down call there? Uh,
I don't know.
Speaker 7 (05:21):
I just gotta, you know, keep my legs driving, run
behind them people and you know, get that yard that
we need.
Speaker 4 (05:28):
Ha How you to have a chance there or they
just you Yeah, there's always a chance. I mean, I
don't know, I don't know.
Speaker 7 (05:34):
I d I feel like that wouldn't even we wouldn't
even have got there if I would woulda head on
to the ball.
Speaker 4 (05:37):
Honestly, I how do you learn from that?
Speaker 3 (05:39):
Not hang on the ball on that one.
Speaker 4 (05:40):
I know you're trying to get the score there. Yeah,
go back to work. Uh, that's all we can do.
Speaker 7 (05:46):
Obviously, forming the ball is not something you know you
doing footballers, and so.
Speaker 4 (05:51):
Just gotta get back to work. Continue to keep trusting it,
believing it and knowing that you know, I'll be better
for it.
Speaker 3 (05:56):
Come. Would you talk to me about the importance of execution. Uh?
Speaker 7 (06:00):
We me execute You win football games, and you don't,
you lose. So that's the most important thing about it.
Speaker 1 (06:04):
Sean said, y Uh, looking back, you didn't like the
play call the call the play he called on fourth
and one.
Speaker 4 (06:10):
I'm assuming you wanted the ball in your hands in
that situation, I mean shoot it. I yeah, obviously I
went to the ball every time.
Speaker 7 (06:17):
You know.
Speaker 4 (06:17):
That's just the kind of competitive player that I am.
Speaker 7 (06:21):
Care you nothing about it now, honestly, Just like I said,
continue to just keep getting better. We all y'all, I
guess we all made mistakes, but you know, I feel
like mine was the one that let the team do
what's the biggest less the.
Speaker 2 (06:32):
Last one guys away uh from this self love.
Speaker 7 (06:36):
That you gotta fight through adversity and that you know
when times like this, it's not it's not time to
shy away. It's not time to run away, but it's
time to embrace it and be better for it.
Speaker 4 (06:44):
Man, you know.
Speaker 7 (06:45):
So, like I said, it's gotta get back to work
and continue to keep trusting and believing and.
Speaker 4 (06:49):
Knowing that you know it's gonna be better for it.
Speaker 3 (06:51):
Woo.
Speaker 4 (06:51):
How would you describe the way you guys feel after
just lost it that way?
Speaker 1 (06:56):
Uh?
Speaker 8 (06:57):
I think disappointed would be the word that uh mind,
I think it would uh be the feeling that everybody
feels in here.
Speaker 4 (07:06):
Yeah, I disappointed?
Speaker 3 (07:07):
Did Sean City guys? After?
Speaker 8 (07:11):
There was h there were moments in the game where
we fought back and I gave ourselves opportunities to to
go and win the football game, and uh we just
didn't execute on them. And it's been uh not necessarily
a recurring thing, but uh a moment of in in
each game we've had the opportunity to come back and
kind of make a play to get the tighter turn
and we haven't been.
Speaker 4 (07:28):
We weren't able to make those ones today.
Speaker 6 (07:30):
Sean said he did not like his call on fourth
down at the end, just with how you guys are
moving as a passing attack. So a part of you
that kind of wishes you could have finished the game
as a passing attack or do you kind of get
running in that situation?
Speaker 3 (07:42):
Uh?
Speaker 8 (07:42):
I think in the short yard, if we trust our guys,
and especially I think the physicality that we've been trying
to uh adopt is our identity. And I think I
I know uh uh I just barely saw the clip
on on social media, and uh I I know I
I owe one to Kiren and the some I pride
myself in and they've they made a good play and
it's something that we'll learn from and we'll be better
and uh we'll.
Speaker 4 (08:00):
Make sure that we get that opportunity again. We'll execute cool.
Speaker 2 (08:03):
What's the biggest lessons you guys can take away from
the one tonight?
Speaker 3 (08:07):
Uh?
Speaker 8 (08:07):
I think they're uh in the past game, those are
those some of those opportunities we had down the field,
the kind of spread out throughout the game, we got
to be able to come down with those and uh
with uh our limited possessions. In the first half we
get our opportunities, and second half we got to be
able to execute on those. And so I don't know
if Tate wants those back, and uh, I know I
had a couple out there. I know I can make
those plays on so do a better job on my part.
Speaker 4 (08:27):
A couple more guys going into a kind of a
mini buy. You guys have the opportunity to kind of
have a nice, good weekend. How does this kind of
impact the way you know things are gonna go for you.
Speaker 1 (08:39):
Guys over the weekend.
Speaker 4 (08:40):
Yeah, I think it.
Speaker 8 (08:40):
There definitely won't be too much smiling, but I think
it'll be It'll be fun for the guys to be
able to recover, get a little break mentally, and then
be able to come back.
Speaker 5 (08:48):
We got some some games on the road that we're
excited for, and uh we we're gonna get.
Speaker 8 (08:53):
As healthy as we can on these xt couple of
days and be ready to prepare for Baltimore.
Speaker 1 (08:56):
What what happened in Philadelphia, what happened tonight, or these
things that will serve you guys well down the road.
Speaker 8 (09:02):
I think one hundred percent it was an opportunity for
us last Sunday to come back and show kind of
what we got after losing to Philadelphia, and I think
it'll be something that everybody let's kind of marinate over
the weekend and when we hit the gun and running
next week, when we're back ready preparing for Baltimore, I
know there will be a sense of urgency that we're
moving around with.
Speaker 5 (09:18):
Thanks for
