Speaker 1 (00:00):
You've done a lot of things so far in your career,
but this is your first day with two touchdowns in
the same game. Someways, what's a like to think of that,
Miles Stone and how to feel to get that day done?

Speaker 2 (00:11):
It felt pretty good. You know, normally you don't come
in with too many touchdown celebrations, so I'm gonna have
to start coming with a little bit more in my pocket.
But it felt good. The way we were executing on
offense and just the ability to get in the end
zone and some of that I feel, like I've mentioned
before we watched aay every time we get in the
red zone. But also the mindset he's put in our
minds throughout the week is something that has definitely carried
over to the games.

Speaker 3 (00:29):
When you guys have a one two punch running the
ball like that, how do you explain how that helps
you guys as the wide receivers.

Speaker 2 (00:35):
I think the ability, like how involved we are in
the run game, the ability to run our keeper actions
and stuff like that, but then also to keep a
defender on his toes or on his heels. I mean,
the ability of like keep continue to push the issue
down the field, but then also keep connected in the
rung game. It allows for things to marry up and
for us to get open.

Speaker 3 (00:52):
When your coach is sick and didn't have a travel
I guess six touchdowns is pretty good medicine.

Speaker 2 (00:57):
Right, Maybe they're there. I'm just glad he made the trip.

Speaker 1 (01:02):
It looked like Matt really fitted and some tight windows
some of those passes. To you, what was the connection
like today? It looked like you guys were spot on.

Speaker 2 (01:10):
I think it comes back to some of the stuff
we do during the week. But also I have complete
trust in number nine wherever he puts that ball, like,
I have no fear and no doubt that it's a
spot for me. And so it always feels good when
we connect on some of those one because you come
back and you're like, man, it's a good smile because
like knowing that there was no room for error right there.

Speaker 3 (01:25):
The game last week, a couple teammates that they feel
sorry for whoever you guys played this week because you
knew to respond.

Speaker 2 (01:31):
Did you feel that, I think one hundred percent. I
think even the ability of when we go good on
good during practice, the few reps that we get in
the opportunity to challenge ourselves to make sure that we're
putting our best, our best foot forward, and it definitely felt.

Speaker 1 (01:42):
Like that when it was a rare you know, Gamer
Stafford turned it over three times. Just what'd you see
out of him in the response this week and then
today that to play such a clean game.

Speaker 2 (01:51):
I think the continued response, it's something that we practice
or we preach every week is the process. And there's
no better example than number nine and his ability to
come in and set and being able to get everybody
refocused and accomplished the goal I had uh at hand,
and that was to come here and put a good
performance on wed.

Speaker 1 (02:08):
Were you aware that McVeigh was not feeling well.

Speaker 2 (02:10):
Like during the week or I did, uh, not until
really til the end of the weekend. You know, there's
some walk through reps that we didn't Uh. They're wearing
as many plays that we had on the on the weekend.
So you know, I'm glad coach is feeling better. But
it was a good Yeah, we had it was a
double move. Were we were ready. He number zero was

(02:31):
ready to to drive on something. We had a good
PPU and the one before, but man, just having a patience.
There's been some double moves where I'm like, I definitely
haven't gotten a little rush, but man, and then trusting
to the spot. Number nine put it in knowing that
there was going to be a defender flying over the top,
and then man, there's one spike could have put it
in and uh it was found. I felt like I
haven't had one of those. It felt like I was
talking to basketball awful one. Were you part of the

(02:54):
m v P chance of one percent? That's our guy
number nine. Without him, we wouldn't be offering the way
we do. So it's always fun to Right now we
get to show him his phrase
