Speaker 1 (00:00):
Being able to watch him do that just I think
it helped the whole team just you know, take off
before I saw higher standard.
Speaker 2 (00:08):
This offensive scored one hundred and eleven points in the
last three games. How do you describe why it's so successful.
Speaker 1 (00:16):
I think, you know, we're just really trying to do
our best for each other, and you know, going back
to the drawing board a few weeks ago and just
trying to see, you know, where we can get better.
And you know, I think the mentality of just trying
to get better each week, there's always something to get
better at, and you know, we'll do the same thing
this week too, is to go back and see what
we can do better from this game and try to
(00:38):
improve for next week and just take it one day
at a time.
Speaker 2 (00:41):
We see the stats that Staph Stafford's put up. He's
got thirteen touchdowns right in the last three games, franchise record.
But being in the huddle, what do you see what
is he doing that's jumping out to you?
Speaker 1 (00:51):
Just being himself, you know, laser focused as always, you know,
and for him to play at the level that he
plays at, it's amazing and it's contagious, you know, and
we we we feed off of that as an offense,
and I think as a team in general. I mean,
I think the defensive guys see it too. And you know,
you always want to play good for for Stafford just
because you know he's laying on the line for you, sire.
Speaker 2 (01:13):
Thank you?
Speaker 3 (01:16):
Correct.
Speaker 4 (01:17):
Oh, that's pretty cool.
Speaker 5 (01:18):
Did he say anything?
Speaker 4 (01:19):
Do you know?
Speaker 6 (01:21):
I had no idea?
Speaker 1 (01:22):
That's pretty cool though. That's pretty cool.
Speaker 5 (01:23):
How much were you guys like looking looking on the
schedule to get some pay back on the Niners for
losing the game at your house?
Speaker 1 (01:29):
You know, I think we just try to take it
one week at a time. You know, I think everyone
you know, respect af your none is kind of saying
that we we have and and yeah, you know, obviously
playing them back in week five and felt like we
could have played better, and you know, hated how that
turned out maybe a little bit. But you know, I
think we're just trying to treat each upon upon it
(01:49):
the same.
Speaker 5 (01:50):
How about fact that you know, you guys know you're
chasing the NFC West and trying to keep playing with Seattle.
Speaker 1 (01:54):
Yeah no, I mean, like I said, I think we're
just taking a week, one week at a time, And
you know, trying to get better each week and see.
Speaker 3 (02:02):
Where it goes.
Speaker 2 (02:04):
Another punch out, describe that one.
Speaker 5 (02:07):
Yeah, I'm first and foremar So I want to thank
God for putting his vision to talk to you guys
and come out of the game healthy. The punch out.
You know, we're playing a vision zone through through the
en route and like I said, always always looking for
the ball. I saw him trying to break and tackle
and then that's kind of when you're hunting those opportunities
through the shot.
Speaker 2 (02:26):
And it came out earlier this year, Sean McVay talked
about how the defense was inspiring him and even today
he said what inspired him was how you guys use
everybody as a defensive man. How's the offense inspiring you guys?
Speaker 5 (02:40):
Oh, I mean they're electric, scoring points, you know, capitalizing
on turnovers, keeping the ball for a long time. And
these last few games that you know, we've ended with
the football, we haven't had to put the defense back
out there, which is just points to their dominance really
and the leadership of coach McVeigh and and Stafford and
just a collective effort of all eleven those guys are
(03:00):
you know, the twenty guys that are contributing. It says
a lot the way that we're able to finish those
games with the offense on the field.
Speaker 6 (03:07):
Manuel Forbes getting an interception second straight game, Just what
was your reaction to seeing that play unfold?
Speaker 5 (03:12):
So happy for him, you know he's continued to streak.
That's too now, not now, we got expectation to get
another one in. You know, every game super bad for him.
Guy grinds in practice, works hard, comes to work every day,
and you can see that the fruits of his labor
are coming to light.
Speaker 7 (03:26):
This is obviously your first year here, but just curious
what you've noticed out of Sean McVay. When you guys
have stumbled against the Eagles or the forty nine ers,
he talks a lot about how you know the loss
sea has become a lesson and you guys respond really well.
So I guess what what is it about him or
this franchise that's being able to bounce back that well?
Speaker 5 (03:42):
Yeah, I think just his leadership as a whole, The
way he inspires guys and the culture that he's built
throughout the years is being here allow you to fall
back on that when you hit adversity and you're gonna
hit adversity, whether it be a loss or even in
game a few plays here and there. He does a
great job of just rounding everybody, and you know who
he puts in the locker room.
Speaker 3 (04:00):
I feel like when you're on a heater, you just
don't know. You don't touch whatever he's doing. I'm like,
you can do whatever. You can walk on water right now,
So I'm like, I just try to stay out of
his way as best I can. When he communicates our.
Speaker 4 (04:09):
Listen, how do you describe how he's playing though? Right now?
Speaker 3 (04:12):
I think if you guys see that last touchdown him
get up, he does a hits, a little bit of
it should be shaken. I'm thinking, like, that's pure enjoyment
right there. I think you see that, and that's how
he's feeling.
Speaker 2 (04:20):
Sean told me that Davante's aging, like fine wine.
Speaker 4 (04:23):
What have you seen out of him in the last
three weeks.
Speaker 3 (04:25):
I think it's pretty evident to everybody in the stadium
when we get in the inside the ten yard line
where one of those passes are gonna end up going
and it continues to get put on tape. He's so
elusive and so creative in the way he gets open
and creates space, and it's something that was really working
really well for our offense. How does that help you
in those same situations too? I think one when we
(04:47):
line up on kind of the flow of the defense
where they're leaning and stuff like that, and then also
the opportunity to run the ball Tooes. I'm like the
misdirection that we can go the motions. I feel like
the possibilities are endless.
Speaker 5 (04:59):
Got really in this.
Speaker 7 (05:00):
He's in the offense lead on you and Todd, and
they still are. But it feels like ever since you've
headed miss a little bit of time, you've kind of
found other ways other guys get involved. So I guess
what impressed you most about the way kind of the
entire offense has gotten better for the past like a
month or so.
Speaker 3 (05:14):
I think the standard that we hold each other to.
I think of the guy that I feel like I'm
still watching every day at number seventeen, and then the
elevation of everybody's game due to number nine. I think
the like I said, of like the heater that he's on.
It's elevating everybody else's plan, and we'll continuing to jump
on that mandwagon with him and.
Speaker 5 (05:31):
Let him take us as far as he can.
Speaker 6 (05:33):
Are you seeing Sean have fun at play calling with
how versatile this offense has been, I.
Speaker 3 (05:37):
Think a hundred percent. I mean, I feel like when
you see the weapons that we have on offense, while
it's thirteen or eleven personnel and hopefully some ten personnel
coming out there soon, but I'm like, it's the possibilities
are on this So I'm sure he's salivating allowing us to.
Speaker 4 (05:49):
Get back on the field. And we jumped out to
a twenty point le, twenty one point le, and so
he's being able to be focused on the present and
not in the past. It's huge for us and definitely
for me.
Speaker 7 (05:59):
I know, I how every game's important, every getting the
next one is the biggest one. But for you, is
this a game you had kind of thought about, like
you get your next chance begainst the thirty nine ers,
just given how the first.
Speaker 4 (06:09):
One was not really kind of But no, I mean,
obviously I see the forty nine ers. I want to
get that get back. But for me, that whole mentality
is any team that we play, especially from now on,
Like I want to be able to not necessarily get
get back, but I want to be able to show
every each and every single team that we play that
you know, I'm one of those ones. And so that's
just been the focus this whole week and it's ever
(06:29):
since that's happened. Just continue to stay consistent, continue to
keep being who I am and not doing anything extra.
You catch Matthew celebrate, heck yeah, yeah, heck yeah. I
told Matthew he started a new celebrations. So the next
time I score, you're gonna see me doing the Matthew
Stafford celebrations. So I'm being like, hopeing it ain't gonna
be no, fine, but yeah, wait, when you.
Speaker 2 (06:49):
See Matthew start doing things like that, what's it saying
about where he's at?
Speaker 4 (06:53):
It's sick. I mean it, Honestly, it's really cool to
watch because you know, I grew up watching Matthew Stephan.
You know, I grew up turning turning the TV on
and being able to see the Lions go to work
on Sundays, and uh so it's really just cool just
being on the field scene and witnessing greatness and just
being on his teammate. Like but to me, that was
like a jaw dropping experience, Like, you know, he did
(07:15):
he did that one and no looker, but he also
did the step back three through to d A and
the end zone. Like that to me is like, you know,
he has so much control over the game. He knows
exactly what how to dictate the defense. No, I haven't
really fan boy to him, not really. I try. I
try to just keep it like you know, that's my teammate,
that's my brothers, So I'm not trying to do too
much better. And he definitely definitely one of those ones.
Speaker 7 (07:37):
Yeah, it feels like ever since you got the offensive
line got healthy, they've really surged.
Speaker 4 (07:43):
It's easy, shoot, it's really easy. All we gotta do
is get the ball secure and the holes are gonna
be there to be hit and be made. So shot
to those front guys was Front five, you know, starting
with Alarric, Steve, Coleman, k Di and Rob. Just being
able to consistently run the ball, consistently pass up all
knowing that those guys are front are going to protect everything.
You know, it's a huge lesson to having a.
Speaker 3 (08:03):
Team first drive thirteen players and you ram it right
down up throat finish you in your touchdown.
Speaker 5 (08:07):
How great was that you just punched them in the
face from record like your people.
Speaker 4 (08:10):
Like that's how exactly that's the mentality of it. Like
for me, that's how I think about every time, Like
I'm punching your face before you punch me your mind,
you know what I'm to see how you're gonna respond.
And so as an offense, you know, we came out swinging.
You know, we kind of talked about it at the
beginning of the week, like, you know, I don't want
to say all the profanity words, but like screwed his
team basically, you know, like we got to be able
to come out here and show show them what we're about.
(08:31):
And I think that I think we did that from
the from the first. Now, well, what's it like to
have an office you know that if you got to
just give them the ball back, they had opportunity to
win games when you guys.
Speaker 8 (08:41):
You know, pride ourselves on home team, so less points
and just playing how hard, like playing hard and outfieldsical people.
Speaker 6 (08:47):
So yeah, thank you for taking the time. Appreciate you
me Like, Okay, there's a couple more one stream manuel
just second straight game with an interception. Just how does
it feel to kind of reinforce what this team believed
about you in terms of being able to have that
kind of production.
Speaker 8 (09:01):
Oh, you know that something I always been doing, you know,
pride myself. Phone just have to do it on game.
They honestly, and you know they believe holly of me,
and I believe holly in myself. So I just got
to go out there and make the play when the
play come.
Speaker 6 (09:11):
So yeah, and speaking of that play, just what did
what did you see on it? And like how much
concentration did that take to you know, bring that in?
Speaker 8 (09:19):
Uh, you know, like christ McCaffrey sat on my zone
and I just went up there and tipped the ball
and used my ball skills to make playing the ball
and intersect with it.
Speaker 6 (09:26):
So yeah, and just how the way this defense is
playing as a whole. You know, Laman obviously got another
takeaway himself. You know what what's that done for you
guys's confidence? Especially over the last you know, two or
three games.
Speaker 8 (09:39):
I was honestly just getting the ball back in our offense.
You know, offense very explosive. They can score any time
from anywhere. So it's honestly we're just playing a comproment
in football and just helping each other out honestly,
