Speaker 1 (00:00):
Talk about the experience to be out here and to
get to interact with some way for the kids and
guys out here on all of them. It's been a
lot of fun. Obviously, I said. We did the camp,
the Flag football camp with some of the guys and
girls from around the area, and they were really impressive.
It was a whole bunch of fun for us to
you know, get to work with them. After we got
a little bit of work in, I actually saw a
few of them over there that came back today and
(00:20):
and uh, I was really impressed with a bunch of them.
So it was a lot of fun. And then a
day like today is really great. A bunch of the
local community comes out to watch us kind of do
our thing, and then we get to interact with them afterwards.
It's Uh, it's been a lot of fun.
Speaker 2 (00:31):
Talking with a lot of people here. This is their
first time ever seeing an NFL team in person.
Speaker 1 (00:37):
How cool is it to be a part of an
organization that gives that to a community. Yeah, that's great.
You know, rams do a bunch to try to get
back to the community and spread the game of football. Obviously,
this is far away from home for us, but it's
really it's a unique opportunity to kind of show, you know,
the kids and the people of this of this area
what we do and be able to interact with them
and hopefully inspire some some young kooka nakus. There's some
(00:59):
guys around out here that you know, can get it done.
Speaker 2 (01:02):
How does this mini camp experience compare it to the
previous ones in your career.
Speaker 1 (01:05):
Yeah, I mean it's obviously, you know, very different and
still really rewarding in the same way. Unique experience, like
I said that, you know, gives us perspective and hopefully
gives the people here, you know, something to cheer about
when the rams are on TV. So right now, this
is a one year contract, But would you like the
(01:26):
mayor yesterday said he'd like to continue it if possible.
Speaker 2 (01:29):
Would you like to see that?
Speaker 1 (01:31):
Oh? Yeah, I mean I've had a blast. That's kind
of above my pay grade, you know, with those people
that make those decisions, we'll figure that out. But no,
we've had a good time. I know our team has
enjoyed the experience and it's been a lot of fun.
Speaker 2 (01:45):
Talk to us about the community aspect in terms of
giving back to a community like Lahgna with the wildfires
we're seeing in climate weather across the country really destroy
neighborhoods in town. So what does it mean to see
these kids and these parents really uplift their spirits and
be here for the sparts you guys play.
Speaker 1 (02:00):
Yeah, I mean we obviously had a very similar experience,
you know, in in our neck of the woods in
Los Angeles. So it's uh, times like that you gotta
rally around each other, you know, And I'm sure it
feels somewhat isolated out here, being far away from a
lot of people, you know, to to receive that help.
So it's it's awesome for us to be here actually
physically and and you know, interact with all these these
(02:20):
local people and and hopefully inspire them and know that, hey,
we've been through something similar. And I know it's tough,
but uh, you know, we're all here for each other.
Speaker 2 (02:27):
In terms of the team ending off season program, Yeah,
what do you think you guys accomplished? And how do
you feel kind of going into training.
Speaker 1 (02:36):
Case you know, obviously, uh it's condensed offseason than what
it used to be. But uh no, I think we
got a lot done. I thought we had a great,
you know, approach to the off season. Sean did a
great job and setting expectations and then we have a
you know, a bunch of guys that know how to
come in and work. That's young guys and old guys,
you know. I mean, it's uh, it's an impressive group.
It's a lot of fun to be around them every
(02:56):
single day. And uh, you know, it was Uh, it
was definitely a productive off season.
Speaker 2 (03:01):
The camaraderie of this team reminding him of like Pop
Warner high school college ball and what waves do you
use today kind of life and setting.
Speaker 1 (03:08):
Us like this and yeah, I think it's just all
the young guys we have reminds him of Pop Owner.
But no, it's a it's a lot of fun, man.
We we have a great group offense, defense, special teams.
Every but he gets along, you know, we all cheer
for each other, all work, work hard, and and compete
against each other when that when that time comes up too.
So he's been seamless, fitting, done a great job just
(03:29):
being himself, which is which is a great person, a
great player obviously, so we're lucky to have him. Any
good golfing, Uh yeah, I played yesterday, played, Okay, got
another chance today to get out. I think a bunch
of the guys on the team are gonna get out today,
so that should be fun.
Speaker 2 (03:44):
Appreciate it, thank you.
