Speaker 1 (00:00):
Hey, Ty, Well, congratulations. What was your phone call like
with Les and your coach?

Speaker 2 (00:11):
Beat the question? I'm sorry, I can cut on a
little bit.

Speaker 1 (00:13):
What was your conversation like with Les and Sean?

Speaker 3 (00:17):
That was great, man. They said they love my tape.
They're excited to have me on the team, and I'm
just excited to be a RAM.

Speaker 1 (00:25):
So yeah, you know, exciting that you're joining.

Speaker 2 (00:29):
Just kind of whatever your impressions of this group of
defensive alignment that you're joining, I think it's very exciting.

Speaker 3 (00:37):
I mean me to be able to step in there
and be a rookie and be to come in and
make an impact of something that I dreamt to do.
So being to go in there and be able to
learn from the older guys and be able to see
them and really pick pick their brains and see what's
good about them.

Speaker 2 (00:50):
And it's excited to be a RAM.

Speaker 1 (00:53):
I'm a communication you had with the RAMS during this process.

Speaker 3 (00:57):
I had a good amount of communication with them. I
spoke to them, had a former with them and it
was good.

Speaker 2 (01:02):
Man, it was good. Definitely excited to be there.

Speaker 1 (01:05):
What do you think you bring to the to the defense.

Speaker 3 (01:10):
Just bring a lot of physicality, men. I bring a
dominant run stopper, a guy that can also playing third
down to the Russia pastor a little bit. Be able
to go in there and really have the ard NOS
guy to really comes in there is just ready to work,
I mean as someone that you're gonna get when you
come to the Rams. And to be able to do
that and be to be a great locker room guy
and have no issues off the field as well. Man,
it's especially important for the NFL. So being able to
go there and be exceptionally just put my head down

(01:31):
to work.

Speaker 1 (01:33):
That's your reaction Just to seeing the team trade a
future and fourth round pick at you.

Speaker 3 (01:40):
It's very exciting. I mean for a team to be
able to take a chance on you at all. You know,
it's not guaranteed to anybody get drafted here, so for
the Rams to be able to take the opportunity and
draft me in man, it's just super excited, super blessed
to be able to have the opportunity to be.

Speaker 4 (01:50):
A ram ty. Your brother is having a good career
in Jacksonville. He's on his second contract. Have you learned
anything from him about being a professional and what it
takes to succeed this next Yeah.

Speaker 3 (02:01):
I mean, definitely, it's just a lot different, more on
the mental side more than the physical side, because you know,
it's a lot of mental everybody's good in the league,
but it's how are you gonna take those mental reps
and mental snaps to be able to go against the
person and beat them. So being to understand that and
just be able to joy the process every step of
the way is something that he's taught me and something
I'm gonna carry with me to NFL.

Speaker 1 (02:20):
HI, You'll be joining a line obviously a lot of
real young guys, but also uh bun Afford. I'm kind
of wondering, Uh, you've watched a lot of Puna Afford
tape in your in your past, h and kind of
what you think of joining a line with him on
and in the middle.

Speaker 2 (02:36):
Oh, yeah, I have not watched a lot of tape.

Speaker 3 (02:38):
But being to have a young line me, I just
it just sees for a lot of potential. I mean,
have a lot of young guys that have got a
lot of potential be to go on there and really
set the tone man for teams that don't really know
too much about the rams, with being to go up
there really set the tone really really hit them in
the head.

Speaker 1 (02:54):
Been to Los Angeles before, and what are you looking
forward to to getting out here and doing that.

Speaker 3 (03:00):
I mean I was out here for training, so be
able to go out there and kind of see California
a little bit, So it was exciting. A very nice place,
very nice you know, I got the sunshine all the time,
Palm Tree, so it's a very nice place to be.
So I'm just decited to get out there and kind
of explore a little bit.

Speaker 2 (03:13):
Se would see what's more to.

Speaker 5 (03:14):
L A coming off the national championship, your run, your
Buckeyes had this past season and out and what part
LA played in that. Is that bring any additional excitement
knowing that familiarity and kind of what it meant to
you guys as a team this past season.

Speaker 3 (03:32):
Yeah, I mean, and then it's definitely an experienced would
be out there. I mean, playing in California is like,
there's nothing like playing in the Rose Bowls. A nice stadium,
nice field, Sonny out means it's amazing, probably the best
build I played on the Rose Bowl.

Speaker 2 (03:48):
So being able to be in l A and.

Speaker 3 (03:50):
Kind of see this to see the team had to
have the experience playing in California. This kind of gives
me an extra extra hand to get up there and
be able to go out there and play and kind of, uh,
get to know more better.

Speaker 1 (04:01):
Hi, I'm wondering, can you describe the scene where you're at,
who's with you, what the environment's like, and kind of
what the reaction was when that pick came in.

Speaker 2 (04:10):
Oh?

Speaker 3 (04:11):
Yeah, I mean I have my entire family, my mom
and dad, my fiance and her family here as well.

Speaker 2 (04:16):
I mean it's super important to them.

Speaker 3 (04:18):
I mean they've sat here with me the entire way
through from high school all the way through college and now,
so just having them around here and builder to support
me for the past two days sitting and watching the
draft and finally being selected by the Rams, I mean,
it's a specifl feeling to have the people that care
about you around you and your biggest moments.

Speaker 1 (04:34):
What's it been like watching the draft.

Speaker 3 (04:38):
It's been agonized. You know, everybody wants to be picked
higher than they want to go. But at the end
of the day, I mean, it's what you do about
with the opportunity when you get drafted. So I'm just
excited to be a Ramom builder. Take what I got
in build and use it to grow better and be better.

Speaker 4 (04:54):
Thank you, and thank you
