Speaker 3 (00:10):
It was amazing just getting that phone call and just
you know, knowing that a team is taking the opportunity
with me.

Speaker 1 (00:16):
It's amazed. I can't wait to get out there to
la and contribute.

Speaker 3 (00:18):
Man, just be a factor on that defensive side or whatever,
you know, whatever coach needs me to do.

Speaker 1 (00:23):
I just I just can't wait to be a contributing factor.
What did the coaches say to you?

Speaker 3 (00:29):
They talk to me and told me that they like
my film. They love my character. And that's one thing
that really stood out to me is that they like
what I do off the field. They like the way
that I like, how to give back and how I
talk to people. And you know, it's just it's a
lot of emotions going at this moment right now.

Speaker 1 (00:45):
Man.

Speaker 3 (00:45):
But all I can say, man, I'm truly blessed to
be in this position. I'm truly blessed to that the
organization took a chance on me and you know, just
lay it on the line for me, and I'm ready
to Like I said, I'm ready to come out there
and be a contribution.

Speaker 1 (01:00):
Year to see them, you know, trade out, be aggressive
and come and get you, no doubt.

Speaker 3 (01:05):
And it really shows how much this organization trustes me.
It really showed me how much you know, a foundation
that I laid out for myself to them once I
got my opportunity and.

Speaker 1 (01:14):
The interview process. Man, it means a lot to me
that they traded up for me.

Speaker 3 (01:18):
And it just showed It just goes to show, man
that each and every day, Man, I got to give
one hundred and ten percent each and every day.

Speaker 1 (01:23):
They're gonna get that regardless. Man. But that just you
know that that right there meant a lot to me.
You mentioned the interview process.

Speaker 3 (01:30):
What kind of sense did you get from the rams
that this might be a possible destination for you to
start your NFL career? Man, Just send down with mister
Andy Sugerman. Just send down with him. And you know
we were going over plays. I was discussing everything with him,
and you know, just like I said, land the foundation
out of who I am off the field, you know,
just to give them a good feel of you know,
who they who they might be dropping into their franchise.

(01:52):
And you know, we sat down, we had a great
conversation and we talked. We talked about football, but after man,
we sat down and had casual conversation with each other.
You know, learned about my personal life. You got to
know about me. I got to learn about him a
little bit. So, man, it just means a lot. And
with them trading up to get me, Man, it just
shows man, that that that interview process admits something.

Speaker 1 (02:10):
It was very special.

Speaker 2 (02:13):
Would you what would you prefer that we call you
as we get to know you. I know Chris is
your name, but do.

Speaker 1 (02:18):
You go by poo Yes, ma'am, I do.

Speaker 2 (02:21):
Thank you very much. Just you know, this team, as
you know, and I'm sure you and Andy talked about,
is looking for sort of its heartbeat in the middle
of the defense. Again, I'm kind of wondering what you
can tell us about yourself and how you may embody
those qualities.

Speaker 1 (02:36):
No doubt.

Speaker 3 (02:36):
So, Man, you're gonna get somebody, Like I said, You're
gonna get somebody who's gonna give one hundred and tempercent
each and every play, Somebody who's gonna come into facility
ready to work, ready to get better, ready to take criticism, man,
and I you know, ready to get around those guys,
my teammates, you know, after we build those bottles with
each other, you know, pushing each other each and every
day to reach the standard of the UH of the
Los Angeles Rams, you know, fulfilling that statement not.

Speaker 1 (02:58):
Only for ourselves and coaches, but as well.

Speaker 3 (03:00):
So man, Like I said, I'm very excited to be
a part of this franchise. I'm very thankful that they
took a chance saw me. Man, I'm very blessed to
be in this position that I am today. Let's the
backstory behind the name too.

Speaker 1 (03:14):

of my sisters are in the building right now as
you They're going crazy right now.

Speaker 1 (03:21):
They can't keep the door closed. So but.

Speaker 3 (03:25):
I got six older sisters and one younger brother, and
I played a lot of travel ball growing up. I
ended up catching an interception and I end up scoring it.
My mom I posted this picture on my Twitter.

D cutout that she brought to every game. Every every
time I scored or made a big tackle, she was
up there screaming, ringing cow bells and holding that three
D pitch over the gate.

Speaker 2 (04:12):
So we're getting the whole family.

But really, man, you know, just just get just get
accustomed with the franchise, to get acustomed with the guys
that I'm going to be going to battle with each
and every day. You know, I want them to learn
about me and I want to learn about them. That way,
we know how to push each other on in off
the field in order to reach those those goals that
we have set for our selt the standards that we
have reached for ourselves. So, like I said, man, I'm
very excited to get out there in La Man. I'm
