Speaker 1 (00:00):
Okay, guys, you know, really hats off to our group.
Find in a way obviously that's an excellent football team.
They are very They get all the credit that they deserve.
You could feel they were a physical, tough football team.
I can't say enough about what a great job our
defense did to be able to get four interceptions Cam Kitchens,
you know, Darius Williams, Kobe Durant, stop after stop. What
(00:23):
a job by Ethan Evans to be able to pin
him inside deep at the end right there, forcing them
to have to go the length of the field to
even get in position to kick a field goal. And then, man,
what a great opportunity for us to be able to
learn some things offensively. We started off the game, thought
we started off pretty well, ended up only having three
plays in the second quarter. Had some things that we
can really learn from in terms of early down efficiency.
(00:44):
You get behind the sticks against a great defense like that.
But we're never gonna apologize for finding ways to be
able to win. This is a resilient group. Love what
I saw from our defense. I thought special teams made
their plays and did an excellent job. You know, with
the five times that we did have to punt and
there's gonna be some learning opportunity that we can have.
But I'm grateful to be a part of this team.
I love the way that they just stay connected. They
(01:04):
stay together, they're never out of the fight. And you know,
defense and special teams did an excellent job and made
enough plays offensively. I thought Kyron ran really well started
off the game. Then we kind of got into a
loll had some guys kind of get banged up.
Speaker 2 (01:17):
But it's a great defense.
Speaker 1 (01:18):
They did a great job and we'll learn from it
and take it from there. He got his elbow, not
sure exactly what it is. I'll have more information for
you guys tomorrow. Oh man, it's awesome. I mean these
here's the thing that I love.
Speaker 2 (01:34):
These guys. They stay connected.
Speaker 1 (01:36):
There's so much work that goes into being able to
get that, and it was really the next step in
our journey that we're on. And whether we came up
short and they make that field goal or whether we
end up winning, there's nothing like celebrating with those guys
being able to learn and continue to grow. But I
love that team and it's a lot of fun in there.
I think you can hear that too. Why would you
(01:58):
ask me, you're trying to bait me, you gonna get me?
Fine right there. It doesn't matter what I think. I'm
not the ones making the call. So ultimately, I'm just
glad we came away with the win today. Oh they
were effective, you know, and that's why I say stats
are for losers, because they affected and influenced the game
in a huge way. Obviously Sam is a great quarterback,
but he was getting off of his spot. I thought
(02:20):
a lot of the pressure that we did get is
what led to some of the decisions where our guys
ended up making some great plays to be able to
get those four interceptions throughout the course of the day.
Speaker 2 (02:29):
Really proud of that group.
Speaker 1 (02:30):
I think the defensive staff defense, you know, Chris Schule,
defensive coaches can't say enough about the job. We have
been excellent in the red zone, and I'm really.
Speaker 2 (02:38):
Proud of that group.
Speaker 1 (02:39):
But I thought our front had a big impact on
that game, Dennis, even if the sacks didn't necessarily show up. Yep,
it was big, you know, And I really thought, you know,
it was awesome to be able to see special teams
you're not taking for granted, making all the extra points
(03:00):
we needed every single one of them today.
Speaker 2 (03:03):
I thought Ethan, I think we punted five times.
Speaker 1 (03:05):
We you know, he did a great job on those,
had to speed up his delivery on a couple. Look
like the protection was really good. Uh sh Heed's a
dangerous returner, and so we kind of had a specific
approach that we wanted to take.
Speaker 2 (03:15):
But what a job by Ethan and made enough place.
Speaker 1 (03:17):
You know, I thought we it would have been nice
to be able to finish with the ball in our hands.
It was a great job by Pooka on the first
run on the Jets sweep, and you know, it's a
great defense. Got a lot of respect for those guys,
and you know we're gonna grow from this, I promise
you that lost.
Speaker 3 (03:37):
Well.
Speaker 1 (03:38):
First of all, I can't say enough about, you know,
just the leadership from Aubrey pleasant. Obviously Chris Beek does
a great job as well, but being able to pour
into these guys and then ultimately the players are the
ones that are delivering in big ways. I think Kobe
Durant has been so solid, so steady. It's been great
being able to get Darius back out there. And how
fun is it to see the growth of an Emmanuel
Forbes he's competitive, he's tough. I think he's tackling well.
(03:59):
Kobe's playing and complete football, and it was great to
be able to get Darius out there. Made a couple
of key and critical plays. He's always been a guy
that just kind of finds the football, you know. And
then I think in a in a lot of ways,
really the back end as a whole night. You know,
what a job by Cam Kitchens. I thought Cam Curl
had a great game. Really, what a what a credit
to Josh Wallace coming in. I mean, Quintin Lake is
(04:19):
such a you know, such a glue guy for our team,
the amount of things that he does, and you got
to give Josh Wallace his his credit for coming in
and doing an excellent job for us. Yep, I learned
that we can find different ways to win. You know,
we we leaned on the defense, they got the turnovers.
I thought we were able to capitalize on some of
the short fields. Obviously early on in the game you
(04:42):
go right down the field and you don't convert on
that fourth down. But but then we end up coming
back the next drive and doing that off of Cam's interception.
And so you know what I learned is this group
is is who I thought in terms of resilient.
Speaker 3 (04:54):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (04:54):
They stay in the fight, they stay connected no matter
you know, who's picking up the weight and uh and
I think that a recipe for good things.
Speaker 2 (05:01):
But we'll take it a day at a time.
Speaker 1 (05:02):
We'll look at this film, we'll clean it up and uh,
you know, excited to be able to get ready for
the next one.
Speaker 4 (05:10):
We're talking about how this offense was motivated. What is
it like on the sidelines as an offensive guy today,
not just with the interceptions, but.
Speaker 1 (05:20):
Yeah, you talk, well, I think this I could just
speak for the team. I'm proud of our football team overall.
I'm proud of the way that our defense, you know,
made the plays that were necessary just to be able
to impact and influence the game for us to be
able to come out on top with the points.
Speaker 2 (05:34):
I love the way that they did it.
Speaker 1 (05:35):
I think the offensive guys are going to be excited
about their opportunity to be able to learn and grow.
And that's a great group that they went against today.
But but I know that we can play better. There's
certainly some things that you know, I can do a
better job for us collectively. But I'm proud of our
football team. We're not going to apologize for finding different
ways to win.
Speaker 4 (05:53):
How did you see that last.
Speaker 3 (06:00):
U?
Speaker 1 (06:01):
Yeah, it was you know what, you know, I think
John Hussey always does a great job.
Speaker 2 (06:06):
He said.
Speaker 1 (06:06):
The guy gave himself up and so that left one
second off and I'm not too upset about it because
they missed the kick.
Speaker 5 (06:12):
So all right, total team effort, man, Holy cow. You know,
our defense played outstanding, turning the ball over a bunch
of times. Great in the red zone. I thought our
special teams was great.
Speaker 3 (06:27):
Again.
Speaker 5 (06:29):
You know what a punt there late in the game
to make them go however far they had to go
there to try to get an attempt at a field goal,
so all those yards mattered on offense.
Speaker 1 (06:37):
You know.
Speaker 5 (06:37):
Uh, obviously wish we would have scored on that first
drive down there in the low red I can make
that throw. I gotta make that throw, got the guy
up off the feet like I wanted to, and then
just didn't make the throw. But they had a nice,
you know, a nice plan. They did a nice job
against us. We were you know, there's definitely things we
can clean up here and there, but we battled. Just
gotta find ways to you know, in the game with
the ball in our hands. That's what we always want
(06:59):
to do, and we have our opportunity to do it.
We didn't get it done, so that's frustrating. But shoot,
we found a way to win without playing perfect football
against a really good football team. So you know, I'll
take it in the locker room. That was great, I
mean and rightfully so.
Speaker 3 (07:17):
Man.
Speaker 5 (07:17):
Sometimes, uh, you know, it's not perfect. You'd love to
go out there and you know, complete a bunch of
balls and go up and down the field and do
all those things and and uh, play perfect football, but
that's not the way it is. I think our defense
played outstanding. They deserve to be partying in there like crazy,
for sure. But now it's fun. It's a great group.
We understand. You know that there's you know, things to
clean up always when you win or lose, but.
Speaker 2 (07:41):
Excited for our guys.
Speaker 5 (07:42):
Man, that's a that's a big win against a really
good team that was playing as good as anybody in
the NFL right now. To come in there and and
put up a defensive effort.
Speaker 4 (07:49):
Like that was was pretty special.
Speaker 5 (07:54):
Yeah, just uh, you know, relief to relief, I guess
I'm just glad it didn't didn't have the you know,
the legs to get there. And I don't know if
it was wide right or whatever, but just felt like
early off the foot, it wasn't gonna have enough. So
don't don't like those situations. Would much rather be taking
a knee.
Speaker 1 (08:11):
You know.
Speaker 5 (08:11):
We had our chance and didn't get a dinner in
the opportunity to do that. So that's something we can
always work on. You know, We've been good at that
this season, weren't weren't good enough tonight.
Speaker 2 (08:23):
It was great.
Speaker 5 (08:23):
It was awesome. I mean, I feel like they've been
close all year and and we've been really efficient running
the ball, but we were explosive tonight, which was really cool.
Our guys did a nice job. They were you know,
a big plays for us early on. You know, they
were you know, playing uh, playing some defenses where it
felt like, you know, if we got through we could
make some plays, and those guys did that. No, I mean,
(08:54):
I I still feel like it's it's every game right,
we're gonna I mean, like, mentally, I'm excited, we want
this game. I can't wait to clean it up and
kind of move on, you know. I mean, that's just
the way the NFL season is, that's the way it goes.
You know, I'm ready to move on to whoever we
got next, and how can we, you know, be better?
How can I be better for our guys?
Speaker 3 (09:12):
How can we be.
Speaker 5 (09:13):
Better to you know, score more points and make it
easier on our defense. So that's my mindset. I'm obviously
excited that we got to win. Uh don't don't you know,
get it twisted on me here. But at the same time,
I know I can be better to.
Speaker 4 (09:30):
Didn't make any So.
Speaker 5 (09:35):
Yeah, I mean yeah, And I think that's you know,
that's probably age and growth and and understanding. Hey, our
defense has got a really good thing going there, playing
really well. Make sure we don't you know, make it
hard on them tonight. And you know, obviously would love
to you know, connect on a few more and and
put up some more points. But you got to find
a way to win the game. And that's what we
did tonight. I tried to play my part in that.
(09:56):
Can obviously be better in some instances, but you gotta
feel the way the game going sometimes and and try
to be that, you know, that version of yourself whatever
you need for your team to win. And I felt like, uh,
you know, there were times where I was able to
do that. Today I was not. I you know, he's
(10:16):
doing all sorts of cool stuff, so I can't keep
track of it. But uh no, I'm uh, I'm obviously
happy to be a part of, you know, his illustrious career.
It's really cool to be able to throw the guys
that have you know, done such great things for such
a long time. No, not too much. No, you know,
I think we can obviously execute a little bit better
and and uh you know we do that, will be
(10:38):
will be fine.
Speaker 4 (10:39):
Actually they had.
Speaker 5 (10:47):
Yeah, well it was one. It was a strange game
in that in that regard, like I feel like in
the first half, I don't know, I think we had
twenty five plays and I think we might have had
twelve of them in like the normal field. You know,
it was kind of like a bunch of red zone plays.
And that's great because our defense is getting turnovers, getting
this you know, short fields. But it was a little
bit of a strange game momentum wise for us to
(11:07):
get out there and kind of see what was going on,
and then we didn't sustain drives long enough there in
the fourth quarter. Really in the second half to kind
of also get into a rhythm. So yeah, they did
a nice job getting us off the field, you know,
on third down in some of those instances, you know,
just kind of just you know, a strange game, and
I found out what it went.
Speaker 3 (11:27):
Like.
Speaker 5 (11:30):
It's been great. He's been a you know, a great
teammate ever since he's been here. I remember watching him
in college, happy to have him when he got here,
and and uh, you know, just watching him kind of
grow into the player and the person that he is.
The leader, you know, he's all about the right stuff,
and we're we're happy to have him.
Speaker 4 (11:46):
How do you describe the emotions of this.
Speaker 6 (11:50):
I mean, we're pretty emotional as a team right now
for sure. Man, it was me in particular because I mean,
this is this one I wish I could just delete
from the tape real forever. Was not up to my
standard personally. But good thing is not an individual type deal.
Speaker 4 (12:05):
This is a team deal.
Speaker 6 (12:05):
And we have an amazing defense that that found a
way to you know, keep us up right when we
weren't out there playing you know, our our our brand
of football. So it's it's tough, but it's uh, you know,
it is what it is we came out with the way.
Speaker 4 (12:19):
The last year yourself exploding the days off Yeah, what
tho interceptions or that last second?
Speaker 6 (12:28):
Yeah, I mean these boys was just the way they
prepped all week.
Speaker 3 (12:33):
You could feel it.
Speaker 6 (12:34):
I mean it was it was picks left and right
and practice, the attention to detail, the communication, all of it.
And then for QLA to go down and then you know,
to still uphold that standard and the secondary like that's
why I love this team, to be honest with you, like,
that's that's what it's about. It's the next man mentality.
We've had that on offense all year too. You know,
Pooka goes down, next guy jumping there. We don't even blink,
you know, continue to do our thing and and and
(12:55):
keep running. And I don't think anybody's discouraged by what
we did on office today. But it was definitely not
to our standard, and I think we played kind of
an average league game of football. It wasn't like it
was the worst of all time, but to our standard,
it definitely was not there. But I mean it makes
you feel even better knowing that you know, you can
play like crap, like what what you know? What we
feel like on on offense and and still come out
with a victory.
Speaker 3 (13:15):
And it's a really good team.
Speaker 4 (13:18):
One thousand catch touchdown. You said it's a team game.
Speaker 3 (13:24):
What did that mean?
Speaker 6 (13:26):
It meant a lot and and honestly, I wish I
would have enjoyed it more. It came after the third down,
you know where I kind of slowed up after the
end breaker and and we missed on that one and
then came back. Kiran spung a big run and I
was actually happy to be a part of that run
because it made me feel a little bit better after
the the play before that. So to go and get
an end zone after that. I mean, anytime you score
in this league, it's it's a blessing, especially when you know,
(13:47):
you know, it's it's it's for your thousands catch elite
company that being in there with with that, but uh,
you know it's it's it's a blessing all around.
Speaker 4 (13:56):
You had the stole and filling that you should probably
the stone here in San Francis. Ye like, hey, we're
gonna find a way to win these games.
Speaker 6 (14:05):
Well, I mean not necessarily we're going to. You gotta
do it e each and every time, but we definitely
are capable, and we we got the type of team
that can would stand the surge of a of a
great football team like that, and uh, you know, play
to you good enough team football to you know where
we can bat some of the things and and offset
the penalties or you know, some of the drops or
whatever it is. But you know, we we definitely built
of the right stuff that you know, what you need
(14:26):
to to win in those type of games.
Speaker 4 (14:30):
To make its.
Speaker 6 (14:37):
Poking the cool everybody. Yeah, I mean they they made
a few adjustments, it'd be it'd be tough for me.
Speaker 4 (14:43):
You know.
Speaker 6 (14:44):
Most of the run adjustments come with you know, up
front and the front seven, and and I miss out on
some of that stuff. Uh, being out wide, I usually can.
Speaker 3 (14:50):
See it a little better on tape.
Speaker 6 (14:51):
But I mean it's it's just about you know, winning
your one on ones, everybody making their play, and we
just didn't do that consistently enough in the second half,
and and that that hurt us a little bit.
Speaker 4 (15:00):
It's always about what the next game. I think it's
always about winning.
Speaker 7 (15:04):
The next game, But in this case, the importance of it,
the way it ended, how does it feel different to
your what the but what you needed to get done
to that.
Speaker 6 (15:13):
Yeah, I mean it's it's like I said, it it
makes me feel good knowing that, you know, we can
go out here and have no adversity and you know,
go down, up and down the field every single time.
But you don't learn much from those type of you know, drives, games, experiences,
whatever you wanna call it. So for us, you know,
we we celebrate every single win. It's hard to win
in this league. And you know, however we can get 'em, well,
(15:34):
well we'll be happy about that. I mean, just just
talk about what a what a great job collectively we
did to you know, like I said, basically what I said,
keeping keeping each other up right, and defense doing their thing,
you know, coming in here and a a offense that
have been rolling, Sam been playing great ball, and for
us to come in here and you know, get four interceptions,
(15:54):
uh against a a G a team that been you know,
kind of gelling, it's uh, you know, it's it says
a lot about who we are.
Speaker 7 (16:02):
Emotions, oh man, surreal, honestly, like the mix emotions and
a game like that, the thriller like that. You know,
we kind of came in I I knew the game
was gonna be uh a big one, a tough one.
It's gonna be something like that, you know, and those
kind of where it came down to the last moments
of the game to really figure out who's.
Speaker 3 (16:19):
Gonna decide the game.
Speaker 7 (16:20):
But you know, I think shout out to our defense,
shouts everybody that played a part into making you know,
us being able to come out with a win, cause
you know, it's it feels a lot better with the
win than the obviously other way around.
Speaker 1 (16:30):
You have such a great relationship, how do you sort
of you talk to each other during the.
Speaker 4 (16:35):
Game just to kind of to help each other out
out there.
Speaker 8 (16:37):
When you're running.
Speaker 7 (16:38):
Uh yeah, I think uh we continued obviously to keep
always communicate. You know, I think coach g always he
does a great job with that with his coaching style
is we're always sitting down, we're always talking, were always communicating.
So uh, for me today, as you know, as I
was you know, out there making those runs, I was
coming back to the sideline telling Blake kind of what
to expect. You know, I kind of felt like they
weren't tackling as good as you know.
Speaker 3 (16:56):
They usually do.
Speaker 7 (16:56):
So I was coming up to the sideline on Blake like, look, man,
the first one's not gonna be you down. You know,
keep your head up and keep your eyes up and
you know, keep those lays moving so you can, you know,
create more yards at the contact. So it's just little
stuff like that, you know, continuing just to feed off
each other. I think that's the biggest thing and the
best thing that we do. We're able to feed off
each other, you know. I feel like we all we
played the games in a similar way but very different,
and you know, defenses is kind of kind of it's
kind of hard for defenses to stop that. Oh it
(17:22):
felt it felt so good. It felt really good. I
knew the second one. I kind of knew if we
got into that third down, that fourth down, what kind
of front they're gonna be in.
Speaker 3 (17:31):
And I was hoping.
Speaker 7 (17:31):
I was watching film as night and I've seen it
from the Cardinals game, and I was like, Oh, if
we call an outside zone on this play, it's gonna hit.
Speaker 3 (17:37):
And you know, Coach McVeigh did exactly that.
Speaker 7 (17:40):
We called nineteen and went to the left side, and
I knew that I was gonna press it and stretch
it as much as I could and put my foot
in the ground, like it was kind of already your
predetermined read don't tell coach g that, But.
Speaker 3 (17:49):
Yeah, I kind of knew that once.
Speaker 7 (17:50):
I started, once I got outside and I was gonna
press the line that everybody's gonna fly over the top,
and I was to be able to put my foot
in the ground. And just seeing that on film and
seeing you know, kind of how they how they felt
like they probably could have attacked it. You know, I
kind of use it in my own way.
Speaker 4 (18:03):
What was that like to their level?
Speaker 7 (18:07):
Maybe you know the first time, dang near, Yeah it was.
It wasn't since twenty three now it felt really good.
Like I said that, this was something that we were
working on this whole week, you know, getting to that
third level, finding that safety and making that safety miss.
You know, I gotta work on my overspeed a little bit,
but you know, next time, I'm gonna put the ball
on that zone. But it just feels good being able to,
you know, put my foot in the ground, get vertical, uh,
(18:27):
find those yards and then find that safety made a.
Speaker 3 (18:29):
Missing, you know, just to make those plays. You know,
I'm very excited for those that touchdown.
Speaker 4 (18:37):
Company with the RAMS to have forty touchdowns and years.
Speaker 7 (18:44):
I mean, it's wild, honestly, you know, I don't really
follow stats or follow anything like that regarding me or anybody, honestly,
but just being able to go out there play the
game that I love and play the game that I
dreamed of playing ever since I was a kid, and
being name with these people that you know obviously are
Hall of Famers and the greats that you know play
this game, to me, it's a blessing to me. I
(19:05):
try I'm not gonna try to, really, you know, get.
Speaker 3 (19:07):
Too excited over it.
Speaker 7 (19:08):
I'm gonna keep myself humble and hungry and uh, you know,
and go past those guys. Honestly, I couldn't even tell
you honestly. Uh, it makes my inside feel good though,
Uh I can't really explain it to you the way
(19:32):
that it makes me feel.
Speaker 3 (19:33):
But man, I feel like that's.
Speaker 7 (19:35):
All the hard work, you know, that's all the not
even just from you know, in the NFL, but before that,
wanting to get to the NFL, dreaming of being in
the NFL. Now I'm actually in the NFL, living out
my dream and you know, doing things that people I
look at are you know, look at a great or
greats art have done in the past, and so for me,
it's just a sign that I got to keep continue
to keep going. I got to continue to keep trusting
(19:56):
and believing and everything that is happening, because it's you know,
it's going, it's working for the best. But for me,
it's just an honor and a blessing to be a
part of those part of those names. Oh it's it's
it's us, or it's us or nobody. You know, that's
kind of what it feels like. It's kind of what
it felt like. And we just we kind of know,
(20:17):
like as an offense when we're together, when we're living
as one, you know, especially in no situation, because Matthew
will walk into the huddle and be like, we gotta
get this. Like his eyes will go wide, like he
looks like a he looks serious. So once he says that,
and once you hear our once we once we hear
one of our leaders like really motivate us to go
get get get a job done, you know, it kind
of makes it easier, you know. And I believe in
(20:37):
the guys up front, the tight ends, the receivers, and
you know, myself to be able to go get that
one yard at two yard. But whatever it is, you know,
I'm just makes you feel good that coach Mevage trusts us,
trust enough us enough to go do that. Yeah, it's different,
you know, it's different. Obviously, this is my first time
being a huddle with an NFL quarterback and I'm very
(20:59):
super blessed that it's a tough stafford that I get
to learn from and get to be around, and just
to be able to see how he commands the huddle,
not only the huddle, but the pre snapping then the after snapping,
the things that he's able to do with dictating the fenders,
you know, being able to recoverages, and just being able
to be that person that's out there on the field
that you know, if we asked him to do anything,
he really could. But just knowing that we always got
(21:20):
his back and you know, continue just to stay stay
eleven is one that's kind of what he harps on.
And you know, just being able to be blessed enough
to go out there and play for play hard.
Speaker 3 (21:29):
Appreciate you.
Speaker 6 (21:32):
What did you see out.
Speaker 7 (21:33):
There today that you.
Speaker 8 (21:34):
Were able to get the ball back?
Speaker 1 (21:36):
Man?
Speaker 8 (21:36):
It's what I always see. You know, He's just finding
those opposite and making the most of it.
Speaker 4 (21:43):
Yeah.
Speaker 8 (21:46):
Man, they want to throw the ball, you know, most
people want to just think and dunk and run the
ball and just kind of tip their way down the field.
So people that want to kind of put it down
the field or give us a shot that they mistake,
that's just done.
Speaker 4 (22:00):
Today and just win. But collectively, how you.
Speaker 8 (22:03):
Guys have grown and we grow each play, you know,
each game, you know, each series. It's about just coming
together and understand each other as one. You know, we
rotate a lot at D line, we r you know,
rotate linebackers. You know, we rotate DB's and it's all
about just working together.
Speaker 4 (22:19):
Do we know how much? Uh quick this defense?
Speaker 5 (22:22):
So just at the moment when he goes out, what's
what's it like to do with emotional Just how do
you guys reset from that performances?
Speaker 3 (22:30):
Uh?
Speaker 8 (22:30):
And that's Captain Q, you know, and he had down
the field. You know, I he gives it all. So
it's just next man up and I can't say replace him,
but you know, just bring that intensity, bring everything that
he tries to bring to the table, you know, from everybody,
you know, as a collective, bring one of the.
Speaker 4 (22:48):
Most explosive this season, like what.
Speaker 3 (22:52):
Kind of defense.
Speaker 8 (22:55):
I don't feel like it was a statement. You know,
this is something like I said, we just finally get
into opts, you know, you know cause AP talk about
it every week.
Speaker 3 (23:02):
You know, be ready.
Speaker 8 (23:05):
You know, everybody don't wanna test us, you know, and
I and I that be because I rush, But they
don't know how good the secondary is too. So if
they wanna keep trying us, then that keep saying.
Speaker 6 (23:14):
When uh, you were drafted, you know, they talked about you,
that's what drew them. You feel like you're getting opportunities to.
Speaker 8 (23:23):
Yeah, as I learned to play with more, you know,
I find, you know, my role in the defense and
understand where I can make that shine. You know that's
not every play because that can end up being you know,
a negative, but it's also about you know, playing within
the defense and and understanding you know, when I can
you know, step out that to go make a play.
Speaker 4 (23:42):
Where you just dry.
Speaker 8 (23:49):
Yeah, it was crazy. I had one of those plays
like two weeks ago in practice and I dropped it
and it was because I kind of went out with
my hands, you know, thinking I wasn't gonna get hell,
I was gonna beat 'em to the ball, and coach
beat just kept tell him, you know, just body your
way through it. So my eyes was on the ball
the whole time. I kind of, you know, with my
pereth just kind of seen him coming. So I just
kind of braced for a hit and just went for
the ball, you know, with my body.
Speaker 4 (24:10):
The first interception, were you just watching Jarnal.
Speaker 8 (24:12):
The whole time or did that come together?
Speaker 2 (24:14):
Yeah?
Speaker 8 (24:14):
So I was just closed in the middle of the field.
And then you know, it's all about having like that
mental clock, you know, like you said, like play making ability,
and it's when the rest kind of s containing them.
He get to you know, throwing the ball or just
kind of you know, flinching up.
Speaker 3 (24:26):
You know it.
Speaker 8 (24:28):
He don't wanna get sat so he just trying to
get the ball out of his hand.
Speaker 3 (24:30):
So I knew that was the opportunity where the.
Speaker 4 (24:33):
Defense had four interceptions. You just keep him out of
the end zone most of all the game and you
have a Karents defensive stand late. What is it about
this one game that impressed you most? Defense?
Speaker 8 (24:44):
For that next play mentality, you know, cause Mvey kind
of talked about all week, is either you maintaining the
momentum or you you taking the momentum back. So each
play it was just a new play for us to
go make a.
Speaker 4 (24:54):
Play, Cassa.
Speaker 3 (24:58):
That made you think that might be.
Speaker 4 (25:00):
A possibility today to have a stility.
Speaker 8 (25:02):
Uh, Like I said before, just they throwing the ball
down the field. And you know, to most people's eyes
when they look at stats, they'll probably see 'em with
three hundred yards, you know, JSN with one sixty or
something like that, but they don't see all the opportunities
they are with the ball. You know, JSN might go
over two or three people. To us, that's the opportunity.
You know, we feel like we got ball skills to
go make that place. So if you wanna test us
like that, then we'll make you pay
