to turn our attentry more and more to the Panthers
attempt to get that first road win of the season,
to win three straight games for the first time since
Slinging Sammy and Matt Ruhle began the twenty twenty one
season on fire at three and to zero. We've got

a lot of conversations to have. There's also this annoying
Atlanta Falcons hype. I mean, I guess, I guess they
are first in total defense, second in total offense, and
they just beat the Bills by ten points on National TV.
But didn't they leave here with a donut with a
krispy Kreme hot now, don't it? So we'll talk about

this Falcons hype a little bit on the show.

We got college football conversations to be had. Got to
hand out some midterm grades to all the local teams
at the halfway point of the season. There are a
few good students, there are some absolute dunces that need

It's a lot of uh self care, and it's a

And you gave me great advice when I was younger,
and that was, you know, don't set expectations too high
because then people expect a lot out of you. So

officially made it out of big catch power ranking back
out of the the backside area. We are now into

the middle pack area.

that meant. But we moved up though they're taking that's
always not near as insulting is typical. I have two
more signs this hour, Bone, because that's what we're looking for,
right We're looking for not only the obvious on field
signs like look the way the run defense is playing,
look at the way we're running the ball, but we're

also looking for the subtle signs that show there's progress
happening around here. So I got a couple of more
signs this hour that the Panthers Bone are certainly progressing.
Last night, in the world of sports, bone Man, we
had ourselves the Dodgers with another ridiculously well pitched game.

Yama Moto Yamamoto gave up a first pitch home run
last night and then shut down the Brewers after that,
five to one. The Dodgers won last night, so they
lead this series two to oh. Bone, Are we headed
for a Seattle Dodgers series?

And if we are, how excited are people going to
be about that?
Speaker 1 (04:39):
On the East Coast? It could be worse? Yeah? The
coast thing is certainly notable.

I I'm actually kind of mac, even though I'm not
a Dodger fin by any means, I hate them. I'm
good with them advancing because Milwaukee Seattle would just be
the narrative of, oh my god, it's these two markets.

At least the Dodgers gives you La in a little
bit of that at David versus Goliath. Feel Seattle might
be in a lot of trouble if that's what it is.
Of course, that feels like that's where it's headed. I'm
at least glad we at least have something that has
that going on, because Milwaukee Seattle, to me, would be
just holy rather horrendous. At least the Dodgers give you

the US wins rolled on Christian rolled on two assists

soccer ruse Bone of Australia Christian. The big headline, though,
is a Christian polisic. Apparently something in his hamstring. He

left this game early. He's going back to Italy, to
his club in Milan. So anyway we'll sort it out.
US team. The next international break will be in November
and then, but there's only two more bone international breaks
before the World Cup, so it'll be here before you
know it. There's only like I think, four more games
that the US will play to tune up for the
World Cup. They are making some progress though, there's no

to watching this. This will be their final TV game.
I think it's the next to last preseason game, is

Saturday night. But I'm a little worried about Trey Man's injury,

So Kalkbrenner went off on on Saturday. Yeah, he's playing
played great. Lee was he started the game. Lee was
giving him rave reviews.

So that that's an interesting development at a position where
we like good developments.

I saw him raving about his defense late last week,
so yeah, he's Uh, what a what a revelation Mac
that would be if he's in there able to at
least you know, we're I'm not saying greatness right away,
but can he just hold it down in a spot
that we have major questions at right now, in the
center position.

So the ACC also a little bit of hoops. Let's
talk a little bit of college hoops.

The ACC yesterday put out their results of their media
vote for the preseason poll. They've got Duke as the
choice to win the conference, Duke Louisville as a choice
to finish second. I would say, I would say you
should get used to those two teams being at the

top of the conference because we know Duke ain't going anywhere,
and Pat Kelcey, we know he ain't going I think
we should know that he ain't gone anywhere as long
as he's at Louisville.

Are going on guards in America. This year as a freshman, MIKEL. Brown,
that'll be a fun guy. And he was on first
team All Conference. They had two first team All Conference players.
We'll get to the local representation of that in a second,
but I do want to mention that that Carolina and
NC State were three and four. If you look at
the ap pole this week week Bone Duke was six,

Carolina was twenty five. State was literally twenty six, if
you like, if you had extended out one more spot,
they were among they were first among the others receiving votes.
I would say, get used to State and Carolina being
close to each other. This feels like this is they
are very equal this year, and that that's another reason

a shame they're not playing two times, but I would
expect that to be a back, you know, back and
forth conversation all season long. It's a shame they're not
playing two times, as you said, and they pushed it

rivalry in the not too distant past, and all the

can't wait to watch play ball this year in the Carolinas.
For me, not a guy that I root for on
his team, but Darien Williams from NC State, the Texas

media days. I cannot wait to see him play. Preseason

player of the Year. I had are you went CCC
preseason player there NC States, Darien Williams, And I had
a person tweet me last week when I was referencing
UH in a tweet the star player from NC State
said something about UH North Carolina. They said, that's not
a star player. I have to be very careful not
calling Dariy Williams the star back. Their TV is not

freshman we can't wait to watch. And then Isaiah Evans.

is going to be off the charts. I think he is.
Big Pat is another one there at the center spot
that I think at the end of the year will
probably make one of the All Conference teams. I would
guess he's getting Johnson Rave reviews as being maybe. I
know Boozer is the best NBA prospect. That's Can Boozer,
not his brother Kayden, but Cam Boozer. But they said

The Evans thing, I'm just I'm a little skeptical of
is he a top ten player in the ACC? Realize
this is not in nineteen ninety four's ACC understand nineteen

offseason and he has to do more bone than shoot.
You're gonna be a top ten player in in the ACC.
I feel like there's gotta be more of a well

he has to find is that, you know, he may

or eight. He's got to find that middle ground there,
really find consistency because and Darren Harris is another guy

he's got the most potential long term NFL.

he might be up there in some form this year.
Nuss Meyers had a pretty pedestrian season for his standard.

Club Nick has been you know, he's had some moments
here in the last couple of games. But Clubnick has
not been that heisman guy. So it's not just Sellers.
It feels like a lot of the quarterbacks have had

getting ranked on this Dante Moore despite the two interceptions
against Indiana, the Oregon quarterback is number one on Kuiper's
Big Board. Fernando Mendoza, the other QB in that game
for Indiana, is number three on Kuiper's Big board. Peter
Woods is still five. I just don't think Peter Woods
