one of two things, how bad the Panthers offense looked
yesterday and the fact that if they won that game,

be NFC Champs South champs this morning. Or some of
you might want to talk about the fact that four
point thirty on Saturday in Tampa, the Panthers are playing
for the NFC South title. For all intents and purposes,
I know there's that little Falcon scenario that we will
talk about as well. But there's really two ways to

look at this thing today. We can cry like a
bunch of little babies about what happened yesterday, or we
can focus about the fact that this team, which has
been hot garbage in December every damn year pretty much
for the last eight years, is playing for a division
title on Saturday. You can make your choice, or we
can do both. We might be able to squeeze a

little both. Then on today's radio show, we'll also recap
the weekend in sports as well, a little Bowl action,
little Hornets dub little Hornets, injury that we didn't want
to see, so we get a lot of things going on.

last Monday. And now here we say it's a bad

are thirteen to three. I just we'll talk about today.
We'll talk about how bad the offense look because clearly
there's a trend here. In the last four losses Bone,
the Panthers averaged ten point eight points a game. The
offense is getting completely shut down. So clearly this offense

needs to get better, right regards what average next week,
they need to get better, they need to get more consistent.
And we can talk about this. But this energy Bone
that I saw from and heard from some Panther fans
after the game yesterday, I mean, like, are y'all giving up?
Y'all even gonna watch on Saturday? Like I just I'm
not here for the energy of, oh my god, we're horrible.

We need to fire the coach, the quarterback sucks. I
told you I was right all along. I'm not here
for that. Like I'm here to have some constructive conversation.
I'm also here to laud the defense, which no one
seems to want to do either. Like I'm not on
here to act like Bone we are two and fourteen,
because we've been there before and I know what that is.

about them losing a chance to win the division yesterday.
Think about how that would feel two years ago when
they had two wins there plus six wins over the

to where we were late December a couple of years ago,

one team is still playing hard. One team quit on
their season and it's not. It's not the Panthers and
Tampa Bay. Tampa Bay lose to Miamis and they've lost
seven of eight, they're one win and that stretches over
Arizona by three three. So who should be more concerned
about how they're playing right now? Panthers ran into ah

to a juggernaut yesterday, the Buccaneers ran into let me
check Quinn yours yesterday. That's a big difference. Yeah, yes, there's.
And that's the thing. If you can't beat Tampa as
horrible as the team as they have been for the
last two months, you don't deserve to get int the playoffs,

Tampa lost. We blew an opportunity. It wasn't like we
were going out there with an easy assignment. We're capable
of losing to the Saints twice, y'all. So should we
really be shocked that a team that is now seven
and one on the road and that defense is phenomenal,
our defense had them covered, man bone. They did not

have one touchdown drive of over twenty nine yards. Every
touchdown drive twenty one yards, twenty five yards, twenty one
yeards and that's one of the best offenses in football,
and our defense held them to three points in the
first half and six points on things that weren't short
drives set up by the offense's failures. So, like I

just there's got to be a little give and take.
There's got to be a little this and that in
our conversation. We cannot sit here and act like the
sky is falling, like we don't even desire. Some of
our fans don't deserve to wear keep pounding apparel like

credit to the fans that were there yesterday. It was

think he's Ray Lewis in his prime, Luke Keigley. Maybe

don't understand some people. I think the improvement has Panther
fans thinking that we should be in the Super Bowl
already this year. I think when we see the good Panthers,
I think we think, oh my god, we should be

that every week. We're not there yet, man, Dan Morgan,
he's another offseason to keep working, keep tweaking. Dave Canalis
needs to keep learning, and that was evidence by yesterday.
I thought Dave Canallis got out coached pretty badly. And
I also thought Dave Canalys was probably a little too
honest in the post game when he admitted that Seattle
surprised them by playing more man than they ever played.
That's this is why coaches don't say anything after a game.

They just say, tip your hat to him. They had
a great skate, they a great game plan. Like that's why,
because he incriminates himself because what he just admitted. Ted
McMillan or Temac uh talked about too like they had
they were surprised, and they really didn't seem to have
an answer to those coverages. They took away anything downfield.
And Bryce has been despite what some of you sky

game plan is run and checkdowns. I remember against San Francisco,
I'm like, what is the game plan? I'm convinced now
it's the way defenses are playing us at times and
they're taking that stuff away, and it does not it's
we are struggling. To everybody, everybody's there's criticism. Bryce canalis
izick I thought the offensive line had some really rough moments.

Obviously the game essentially ended. But when the game back
to back sacks down ten and I thought the receivers,
I thought there was it wasn't a whole lot of
winning going on from the receiver, So I just thought
it was a team effort. Man. It was. And once
the game got going and Seattle saw what they did
early in the fact that they basically took the passing
game away, Seattle just I'm not I'm not saying they're

relaxed on defense, but they settled in and once a
defense like that where they're good at all, three levels
settles in. They they they had no fear whatsoever of
anything the Panthers doing yesterday. We're not ready. I don't
think you've got to. You've got to put some fear
in a defense. They had nothing yesterday for that team.
I don't We got out coached, out played like on
that side of the ball. But then and it sucks

because the defense gave a chance to win. It sucks
because Miami pe Tampa there was a chance there. But
what this offense has come up short bone when it's
been the bad Panthers, when it's been the bad Panthers. Like,
there's a couple of drives during this win, one lose,
one stretch that I can blame on a arro on
the d defense in New Orleans in particular. But like

you look back at those four losses and tell me
who was the problem. It was the offensive side of
the ball. They're not there yet and they're not in
the The third down numbers tell a big story yesterday
as well. Yeah, on both sides is amazing. On third
down defense, they are amazing. Seattle goes nine for sixteen
offensively on third down. You said it there. The Panthers

had more fourth downs yesterday than third down convergence. They
were two for five on fourth downs even that when
grets a lot by the way of attempts, and they
were one for eleven as you just said, on third downs.
So one third down conversion the whole damn game yesterday.
That tells a lot. Tells you a lot there. Yeah,
J T. Sanders goes out. I hated for him, man,
And I'm sure we had a lot of three tight
end stuff planned that that kind of ended up hurting

there as well. I'm not saying that is the reason
why we lost like that. I just this offense ain't
there yet, and I don't think it means you gotta
make any drastic changes. But I don't know about you, Bone,
I think there needs to be some additions still to
this offense. The pass catching unit is young, and you

didn't help the team. Act was sick yesterday. He wasn't
a factor. I don't know if like they took him
out or if he just couldn't be himself. But the
pass catching doesn't have some bite when I don't know
it was Fitt or whoever brought up like a couple
of weeks ago. Could XL be cut and I thought,
surely you don't cut a first round pick going into

his third season. This dude, that's awful, man. I mean,
the little things he can't do, and then he can't
do any positive things hardly to offset the little things
he does bad. Coach Canalis, in another honest moment, revealed
in the post game that the referee was warning him
that he is offsides right now, and he still continued

to stand there offsides. I mean, it's he's a knucklehead man,
and that knucklehead stuff's fun on on him videos. It
ain't fundering the games. He has zero football awareness alre.
He doesn't know where the sidelines are most of the
time to get his feet down. He doesn't have the
basics down that he he should have learned a long
time ago. He's out there a lot also, but he's

not a threat by any means to catch the football really,
So he's out there to block, which he's good at.
But you can't have a guy Mack on the roster
that's a first round draft choice out there just to
block as a white out. I mean, he's got he's
gotta make plays. And even Mack, when the ball goes
his way, he might not get his feet down, he
may drop it. He may be involved in a penalty.
Like you're talking about, what are the percentage back of

positive plays that happen when XL is involved in a
play that goes as direction like eight percent or plenty
of negatives? Yep, plenty of mistakes. And it's the whittle things. Man,
he can't do the basics. He's an athlete. He's not
a football player. When does he become a football player.
When does he learn, like you're saying, the finer parts
of the game, or does that never occur? Some guys

are just athletes and never become football player. He played
five years in college and he's he committed. That's like
a guy. It took him five years to be worth

So like and the offensive line like, man, I really

hope Rob Hunt can play this week. I thought Corbett
had some rough moments, but I also thought Motin and
Icky had rough moments too. I thought the Seattle front
kicked our ass at times. I just I thought Seattle's
defense was flying around, but so was ours. Man, so
was ours. Our defense deserved better than that, man. They
really did. They got the hell after Sammy Mike Jack

had the big play, which he knew mental most unbelievable.
It met a lot to him yesterday because belie where
he came from. Derreck Brown. I was in the stand,
so I couldn't tell. We thought he picked it off.

we wrap up this segment here, the fact that Derrick
Brown did not get voted into the Pro Bowl. It's
one of the biggest jokes of all time. How is

Brian Baldinger had to come in person yesterday and thought
to Derrick Brown about it. Brian Baldinger was on the
field talking to Derrick Brown. He said, I noticed you.
I noticed you frisbee tossing O lineman but barely the
voter's Dave Baldinger was showing his annoying. He was showing
his Pro Bowl votes. Hey, I got annoying Brown was.
I thought Brown was great yesterday. Ayshawn Robinson nine tackles

as a defensive tackle yesterday. I mean the hell A
few times I could go all around the list. One
of them I thought brought it yesterday. How about Scort

got that ball. Fitty wasn't impressed like I just his

go if we can't make the playoffs over this damn

if Atlanta could beat the Rams tonight and beat the
Saints on Sunday for the record, I think they will
lose both, but if they can. If they can and

the Panthers were to lose to the Bucks, the Panthers
would still win the division based on a three way
tie tiebreaker, which is records amongst the three teams. Panthers
would then go on to tiber That would be the
ultimate NFC South way to get into the playoffs. Yeah,

think it's obvious who did the more shameful thing yesterday.

with Pittsburgh was in the Cleveland yesterday. You knew that
the NFL was another crappy blown opportunity. You know, the
NFL was salvating for Pittsburgh Baltimore in primetime and then
Seattle San Francisco is for the number one seed of

out and piece together what was gonna happen. I feel
like in the NFL office as they talked through this one,

feature this game? This is for a division title? Johnny?
You watch the Panthers today? How they look? They threw
it for fifty four yards? Now, I gouged my eyes

for America. Let me go over to Teddy. Teddy, you

hell was, and I quote tweeted and said, how about

That was the makes sense. That was the Bucks fan
chat from Barstool. Yeah, he was a barstool guy. Okay,
so he didn't even want his bus. He was talking
about his own team. He wantn't even there, which is
probably what the Buccaneers don't want to see either. I
don't think the Buck I don't think the Bucks of
their fans. I think there are multiple members of the Bucks,
and I think most of their fans would literally say

we pass on the game on honestly, answers are happy
to be in this spot. Bucks are disgusted because they
thought they were above this spot this year. The real
test back for the NFL officely is Johnny and Eddy
will be next next Saturday at that four to thirty spot,
which has been owned by the Texans. If it's the
Texans up for the four to thirty spot in the
NFC South winner, they're gonna have a real debate. Where

do we put Bucks or the Panthers, and where do
we put the Houston Texans? Because the Texans own four
to thirty on Saturday. Yeah, they do. But I was

they aren't. They were probably playing a four or five game. Yeah,

Panther fan before the season, you're playing in Tampa and
it's for the division title, would every fan take that?

I don't We got out coached, out played like on
that side of the ball. But then and it sucks

because the defense gave a chance to win. It sucks
because Miami pe Tampa there was a chance there. But
what this offense has come up short bone when it's

there's a couple of drives during this win, one lose,

you look back at those four losses and tell me
who was the problem. It was the offensive side of
the ball. They're not there yet and they're not in

had more fourth downs yesterday than third down convergence. They
were two for five on fourth downs even that when

The Burden
The Burden is a documentary series that takes listeners into the hidden places where justice is done (and undone). It dives deep into the lives of heroes and villains. And it focuses a spotlight on those who triumph even when the odds are against them. Season 5 - The Burden: Death & Deceit in Alliance On April Fools Day 1999, 26-year-old Yvonne Layne was found murdered in her Alliance, Ohio home. David Thorne, her ex-boyfriend and father of one of her children, was instantly a suspect. Another young man admitted to the murder, and David breathed a sigh of relief, until the confessed murderer fingered David; “He paid me to do it.” David was sentenced to life without parole.
