Speaker 1 (00:13):
I was getting the pool free. I mean, I mean,
I guess it'll take. I don't know, it won't happen.

Speaker 2 (00:21):
But if I was a random, regular day, random guy
Jacksonville on a good Sunday, ninety degrees.

Speaker 1 (00:28):
And the panthersone and I'm the Panthers van, I'll jump
in for fun, you.

Speaker 2 (00:32):
Know, fully closed, probably my cell phone.

Speaker 1 (00:34):
On, socks on, you know what I mean. Like everything
you say, I'll go. Oh man. Robert Hunt not only
was able to practice limited capacity, but says, hey, I'm
good to go, I'm good to play. Don't worry about
that foot injury from the other day. But he also
bon't entertained a question about jumping in the pool at
Jacksonville Stadium and Robert Hunt ainate one and not you know,

(00:56):
to turn down a silly question. No, he was gonna
get involved. So if he was a Panther fan at
the game, he would jump in with his full clothes
and his cell phone on his person. There you go.
I want me some Rob Hunt man. He's awesome, he's cool,
he has fun, man, and he's another guy like you're
talking about. It's a different personality off the field as

(01:18):
compared to that animal that gets on the field just
Maul's dudes. You know, he's another one of those guys.
He also I think he prefers silly questions. Yeah, he
remembering it. When we had him on, he lit up
about my idea to have a charity basketball game where
you don't move on the court, the Rob Hunt Charity
Basketball Classic. Because he talks about not moving on the
court just shooting his jump shots, we do a basketball

(01:39):
game where if you move it's a violation. Yeah, he
could not play an emotion offense because he literally wants
to stand in the same spot and someone pass in
to him and I shoot, Oh man, God bless that man.
All right, but we need that man to get after
that front of the Jacksonville Jaguars. Eric Armstead's one of
their interior guys that Hunt and the boys are going

(02:00):
to have to get after. On Sunday, I want to
do a Panther vibe check here on Friday. It's football Friday.
It's our first Panther Friday, real Panther Friday. And it's
week one. It's Panthers Jags. I think both fan bases
think this is winnable. I was doing an interview in
Jacksonville Bone on ten ten XL for last night, and

(02:22):
the guy was like, we all think this is a
very winnable game, but you are probably thinking the same thing.
And I said that that is this is one where
that allows both fan bases of teams that have not
won the most games in the world lately to feel like, hey,
we can get this. And I'm not on here, I'm
not doing any garon damnts, I'm not even you know,
we'll do our picks in the nine o'clock segment, But like,

(02:44):
I think I think that's fair to say both both
sides can feel like we can win this game. So
I want to know what people's vibes are and I'll
just I'll just toss this out Bone, what area of
this game do you look at? Matchup wise or maybe
a player for the Panthers, Like what do you feel
good about? Who do you feel good about against Jacksonville?

(03:04):
And then we'll get to the flip side too in
a few minutes, like what do we worry about? What
aspect of this game is? Like, maybe it's something on
our own team, maybe it's a matchup, maybe it's someone
on Jacksonville, So like, what in terms of vibes. What
do you feel good about? Boone? First of all, I
feel good that the offensive line minus knowing about Ikey
right now, Wowis and Hunt look like they're going to

(03:25):
be in there. Because I think if the Panthers are
going to win this game, while they're trying to work
in you know, T Mac in his first game, trying
to get xals in game, confidence going, trying to get JT.
Sanders going to the level we think he should be at.
I think the run game is going to be how
they can win this game. So I'm confident that they
could run the football with that combo of Cuba and Dowbell.

(03:49):
That's what I feel good about. And you mentioned in
Jacksonville how they thought it was winnable and then they said, hey,
you think it's probably winnable too. I think that's gonna
be the theme we see here with a lot of
the Panthers and their opponents from out the first seven games. Yourself, Yeah,
because they're all to me kind of in that neighborhood
entering the say yeah, you don't have those daunting games
early on. I'm not saying we're not taking some l's.

(04:10):
I'm not saying I don't have things I'm worried about.
I mean, I've been stressing out Bone all week about
Ikey's in Ikey situation and the Cocher and theland situations. Yeah,
I'm with you, man, as long as Canalis commits to
it and pounds that football. And I like Idzick's plan
of hey, let's let's get all three backs involved. You know,
Chube was going to be the lead dog. Let's make

(04:30):
sure we don't wear Chube out, especially you know, for
the season, but also in that heat on Sunday. Jacksonville's
passing defense last year Bone was the worst part of
their whole team. They were worse in the league, even
worse than US y'all in passing defense last year. Now
they have made some changes in the secondary. They got Hunter,
they got Jordan Lewis, they added a safety, but the

(04:52):
run defense ain't much better. It was twenty fourth and
twenty fifth Bone in terms of rushing defense categories total
you know, yards allowed and yards per carry all out.
I do believe it's a team Bone that if we
stay with it, that we can run the football against.
I do think Bryce Young is going to play well
in this game. I do feel good about Bryce. I

(05:14):
know people have said, Matt, you sound a little worried
about your boy. You sound like you don't trust your boy. Listen.
I don't think it's ideal to have traded feeling and
to have Cocher out. But I still think Bryce is
the dude that finished the season with ten touchdowns total
and no picks in his last three games. And this
is a defense that, yeah, Bone, they are going to

(05:34):
be changed, it's a new scheme, there's new personnel on
the back end, but I don't expect them to fully
be clicking and be at their best Bone week one.
I think Bryce is going to play well in this
game as well, and we need it. We need we
need the run game in Bryce to play well. We
need the offense to play well. Absolutely. Can I say
something here because people are talking about the defense, I'm

(05:56):
not really I don't know how good Jacksonville's run game
is necessarily. I know the Panthers run defense was historically bad,
but well, when you throw Derek Brown back in there,
and hopefully Ashawn Robinson's all right too. By the way,
I don't really think this is a Jacksonville run game
that necessarily terrifies me. To the point where they're gonna
they're gonna gash the Panthers. My concern on the other side,

(06:18):
and we talked about it yesterday. I don't have concerns
about j C. Horn the player, but I have concerns
if they move Brian Thomas around that they should j C. Horn,
will he travel with Brian Thomas junior or will Brian
Thomas Junior get on other matchups? And that worries me.
If it's Horn versus Brian Thomas, straight up, I'm good,
but Brian Thomas on other guys in the secondary, that

(06:39):
sort of is a worry for me big time. Yeah.
I mean, I've got to admit I get what you're
saying one hundred percent, and you don't want to let
Brian Thomas beat you, right, So if it's I'd like
to see Horn with him like you all the time.
But if it's not that, then you maybe got to
shade a safety over to them, like I would show
him the ultimate respect. I don't want to regret these words.
And we have a whole segment come up at seven

(07:00):
forty five about like does the the do the two
because this is the weird player that we got to
talk about two matchups right on both sides of the ball.
But we'll talk about Hunter and do either of those
matchups were you with him. So I don't want to
disrespect him totally. But I would make the other guys
beat me. I'd make deanbi Brown beat me. I would
make Travis Hunter in his first game beat me. I
would make you know, Parker Washington, I'd make those guys

(07:22):
beat me. Strange the tight end, that's to your point,
who the tight end is what? He's very strange, very strange.
Penn Stance have a strange tight end. But I don't
know how you can sit here and say you're not
at least a little concerned about the run game. Like, yes,
they should be better, there's no doubt about it. Derek Brown,
Bobby Brown, Turk Wharton, Cam Jackson all added up front.

(07:46):
But like, this is the first time Bone, our defense
is going out in the real game Jacksonville. To your point,
Bone was only twenty fifth in the running game, So
it's not like we're starting with a daunting matchup. But
if you don't have a little bit of butterflies the
first they hand a football off, I didn't. I don't know.
I didn't say it's not somewhat of a fear. I
don't think it'll be as bad as last year, and

(08:07):
I'm more worried about Brian Thomas being the guy that
would get us down rather than the run game this
time around. That's my that's my my fear is Brian
Thomas more than the run game. I fear what you're saying,
but I am scarred. I've got post traumatic run gash
disorder bone bury from last year. Period's gone, Barry, I've
got it. So they've got go out there and prove

(08:28):
to me you are better and you can hold up.
I'm not even I'm not expecting eighty five bears bone,
but just hold up. Could we play some good first
down defense and get the other team in passing situations
for a damn change, because last year they were getting
over five yards a clip on first down. You can't
play defense that way. You can't ever rush the passer
that way. My biggest concern in this game is if

(08:49):
if he doesn't play, That's that's my biggest matchup concern
is Josh heinz Allen will be the guy that most
of the time is over their bone. He had sixty
three pressures in eight sacks last year here. That is,
that is my biggest concern. Will we double? Will we not?
Even if Ikey is playing? How you know how close

(09:09):
to one hundred percent is he? So that is those
edges to me are the scariest thing. I think Moten
can do his job against Walker on the other side,
But it is that Josh Nyman, I like, that's one
that I'm gonna wake up Saturday night screaming if Ikey
doesn't play in a sweaty lather like Greg Olsen at
a wedding reception. And I'm just gonna be screaming ny

(09:32):
Man like I am terrified. I think, I just I
don't want to be mean to Yash Nyman. I'm good
vibes only, but I'm worried about you, Yashi. I'm worry.
Is this why you sleep on the couch quite a bit?
Because you just yell out players' names during during the night,
that is, during the work week. Don't get don't get
everybody thinking, all right, something's going on here, all right,
missus mac and kick me out. That is on the

(09:54):
work week. Bone, So I don't wake missus magick. Okay,
That's why I do that don't the tabloids to popa
rousie go start talking. Yeah that people already thing we're
controlled by ESPN, because I'll be over here, so I
don't want to cause any problems for you over there.
Although I will say, I think my wife likes the
Knights when I'm out of the bad better because then
it's just her and baking the dog. I think she

(10:14):
likes that better. I would also say, because I think
this is a close game and it's gonna come down
to game management, time out usage, all that sort of stuff.
And that also means special teams, I would say entering
this game because there's a lot of new on special
teams and I don't fully trust the kicker yet, I
would say special teams is a worry for me, especially
with how close I think this game will be. A

(10:37):
miskick could cost us this game. If they missed even
an extra point extra point in this game, Yeah, Fitzy's
got to hit them. We've got to finish in the
red zone. You know, I'm big on the four point plays.
I'm big on do you score a touchdown or do
you kick a field goal? Those four points add up
on both sides of the ball. We were good in
the red zone. Last year we didn't get there enough,

(10:57):
but we were good in the red zone. We were
top ten in the red zone in scoring touchdowns. Now
on defense, we were atrocious in the red zone, but
we were atrocious and everything. You know what I mean?
Where were we good at every category? Let's see what's
going on on text line seven oh four, five, seven
oh nine to sixtent. What are your vibes for Sunday?
It's week one, man, do you have halp? Baby? Are
we gonna get some panthering up? We'll deal with that

(11:19):
later today. But what are the things you feel good about?
What are the things you feel bad about? Apples to
Apple says, I guess a run would be great because
Derek Brown's back in there. The biggest threat is Brian Thomas,
who agrees with Bone. He says, Travis Hunter's overblown. We'll
deal with that coming up at seven forty five. My
concern is linebackers. That's what Baron says. Baron's got a

(11:41):
song Bone, He's got a Week one song about why
to debut later this week. He's got a song concerned
about lineback I don't know if it's about linebackers. He's
got a Panther theme Songbony that he's dropping. Very nice.
Let's see what else we have here, Richie says, Richie's
worried about us. What's he worried about? They worried about
our mental state?

Speaker 2 (12:01):
Bone?

Speaker 1 (12:01):
If the Panthers get squirrely on Sunday, if Richie's worried
about us, we got a problem on our hands. So anyway,
I don't know. I'm getting mixed vibes, man, I'm getting
mixed vibes and touch of a worried about Bryce on
the text file. Two or three of those coming through.
Y'all trying to do this to me again. You're really

(12:22):
trying to do this to me again, y'all. Seriously, I
think Jacksonville fan should be more worried about Trevor Lawrence
than we should be about Bryce Yan. I'm just gonna
leave that there, Bony, all right? So I had to
rattle off the fourteen freaking statistical categories that Bryce was
better than Trevor at last year. In case you missed
it yesterday, you go back and check out the podcast
on Apple and Spotify of Mac just absolutely losing his

(12:45):
mind on some whiteers. Was that the end of the
eight o'clock hour. I believe.

Speaker 3 (12:48):
Yes, it's also a show promo as well. Of course
you had to make that a promo. Me acted like
a lunatic. Phoey's I gots to great promo.

Speaker 1 (12:55):
I just I don't remember the promos usually of Mac
yelling and ME acting, huh, why do you do that?
They're not all We had the one that you with
the collared shirt. That was a good promo.

Speaker 3 (13:05):
You rising your concerns about Bill belichiack oh, like you
know you need to listen to all the promos.

Speaker 1 (13:11):
It's just you being an idiot, all right, because a
lot of them. I got to say, you get joy
off of us being stupid or mad? Though, that's an
easy promo to bang. Oh man I necking buone show
we do stupid. Come on, y'all, it's okay to believe
in Bryce. There are plenty of other things with this
team to stress over. Plenty of other things. Hype sees
a cowboy fan. He texted in thanks for Miles Sanders.

(13:31):
Miles Sanders give it last night and Miles Sanders take
it the way, where's our car wash? Forty nine yard
run and then fumbles the ball, and I'm telling you
that was the definitive play of the game, Bony, because
if they score there, Dallas very well might win that game.
That in cde Lamb dropping the fourth down play at
the end, although that that would have been a hell

(13:51):
of a catch. Anyway, we digress. Cowboys lose, Cowboys lose.
Fitny damn straight there you go, there you go, Yeah,
Whols last night, Mack the Dallas Cowboy, Damn Cavos when
we come back. LEAs Stirling paramount sports dot com with
his weekly gambling selections on sports radioz oh Man, So

(14:22):
Football Friday, getting emotional, getting fired up. Bone was nice
enough to buy us donuts for the second straight dang week.
Third Bone is amazing. I at least contributed to two
weeks ago. Oh did you Yeah? I at least was
involved that. The last two weeks have been flat out
freeload and phitteas freeloaded all three weeks. I'll throw that
in there, but that's all good. You got to save

(14:44):
money for your new girley you know what I mean,
fit and all your new panther thongs you need to buy. Anyway,
I've just made a breakfast bet, Bony. It's getting serious
over here. Football's here. I'm making bets that my wife
probably doesn't want me to make. What's this one? Rocky
Mountain oysters. He says Lawrence will have a better year
than Bryce. I say Bryce will have a better year.

(15:04):
So breakfast is on the line. A looser has to
eat Rocky Mountain oysters. No, that is definitely do that one. Well,
that'd be kind of funny bet. But so anyway, Bone,
if Bryce doesn't outplay Trevor this year, it's not this week,
it's this year. I'm gonna need you to send some
donuts to this guy. All right, so we got butterfinger
donuts today. That sounds amazing. Oh god, all right, anyway,

(15:26):
I'm just staring at them right now. I'm both think
about them all segment, those beautiful babies. All right, let's
do this man. Let's is a cheap day to day
for the mac man. Oh all right, let's do this
right now, because you know, let's let's if you buy.
If you're the nice coworker nlike me and Fitny that
buys your co workers donuts, let's help you pay for it.

(15:46):
Let's get you some picks from Lee Stirling back on
our show yet another year's our official handicapper. Where do
you get his real picks? He does the local picks
for us here, Bony right, the ones we care about.
He does the ones that you know. He's putting his
money where his mouth is. I want you to put
your money on online at Paramount sports dot com. Paramount

(16:07):
sports dot com, the great Lee Sterling is here to
break down these games, including the Panther game, which we
always finished with Lee, How you doing, man? How you
feeling today?

Speaker 2 (16:17):
I feel good? Fun to have NFL back. And the
only thing was we had the over last night. Cam
believe that forty seven and a half and sitting sitting
at forty one at halftime, I mean, they scored every
possession and I went to go to come to bed.

(16:39):
I was upstairs doing some work, and she goes, that
was easy. I'm like, what do you mean? She goes
the over. I'm like, did you watch the end of
the game? He goes, I just assume. I assume we won.
I'm like, she jinxed it.

Speaker 1 (16:52):
You No, No, that's a bad being. The lightning delay
completely altered that the rest of the game, right, I
think that was.

Speaker 2 (17:01):
Part of it. I mean the fumble. Obviously he certainly
contributed to it too. So you never win games like that,
you only lose them.

Speaker 1 (17:09):
Miles Sanders former Panther, might have cost the Cowboys, thinking
him and over better, Sorry about that? God, that's rough.

Speaker 2 (17:16):
All right?

Speaker 1 (17:17):
Well, hey, get back on that. But get back on
that horse, Lee, that's what you do. And let's talk
about some of these games from a local standpoint. What
do you think about somebody's from a local standpoint for us,
and we'll tell everybody what your game of the week
is and where they get you big money picks online
at Paramount Sports. But let's start with NC State Virginia
non conference game. A little little twist here. NC stayed
at home, a two and a half point favorite.

Speaker 2 (17:38):
What do you think So, I think it's going to
be high scoring, back and forth. And I thought that
Virginia I think they might have finally found their quarterback.
I mean, Chandler Morris really good. And it comes over
from first TCU and then North Texas, and you know,
it makes a difference. You know he can he can
mask a lot of weaknesses. There's still not great on

(18:00):
defense at all. Running Back Xavier Brown finally starting to
come into his own and also got a transfer a
couple of years ago from Trell Harris, who looked really good.
Sometimes it takes these guys a year or two to
really feel comfortable in the system and NC State. I

(18:21):
just camp back as a favorite, you know. I just
think that look what happened in the first week. They
can win some of these games, but they're not going
to cover here in a mild upset here. I like
Virginia high scoring game thirty one to.

Speaker 1 (18:32):
Thirty, game number two on the Lee Sterling docket here
one of the best games of the weekend. It's in Durham.
Then I on the road favored by three against Duke.
What's the right side of the play? Early?

Speaker 2 (18:46):
Well, I really like Tulane quarterback transfer to Duke Darien
Mensaw he is that could? I mean he went twenty
seven for thirty four last week for three hundred and
eighty nine yards. I know it was against Elon, but
he's going to put up some real good numbers this year.
And the only problem is I just think that they're
probably one dimensional, mainly a passing team, and Illinoi's line

(19:08):
play is really good. They returned nineteen of twenty two
starters from last year. First week against I know it
was Western Illinois, but they ran for almost six yards
of carry. They stopped the run, allowed just one yard
per carry here, and they closed the season Real Strong
won four straight games, beat South Carolina in a bowl game.
I think they're one of the most underappreciated, underrated teams

(19:31):
in a power conference. I like Illinois twenty seven to seventeen.

Speaker 1 (19:35):
Sorry, oh bone bone, you all right, pull yourself together, Boud.
I need that donut over there, if you don't mind.
Those are my cob donuts. All right, let's get into
Let's get into a couple of NFL games here, and
we will get to the Panther game. We'll tell you
what his game of the week is and how you
get that as well. Sunday night. Man, what a fun
match up that is Bill's and Ravens playoff rematch from

(19:57):
last year. Buffalo right around a one point favorite. What
do you think?

Speaker 2 (20:04):
Yeah, So I had both of these games, and I
had it right, and the first time, I'm like, wow,
this is easy. Baltimore beat them thirty five to ten.
Weather it was good. Boat raced them. Second game, I'm like,
I have a feeling this game is going to be tight.
I can't say how, but I think that Buffalo's going
to find a way to win. And they did. They

(20:24):
were benefited by plus three in turnover ratio in that game,
and the conditions were terrible wet, slippery field, cold, and
I mean just I mean drop passes. The Bills were
plus twenty four and turnover margin twenty twenty four. That
was one and a half times as good as the

(20:45):
number two team and twice as good as the number
three team. Generally, there is a regression the next year
after a year like that. And in that playoffs game,
Baltimore game seven point three yards per snap, the Bill's
just four point six here. I think Baltimore's had a
little while to sit and chew on that defeat. I
think they come back in a high scoring game and

(21:06):
win this game. I like Baltimore thirty one to twenty seven.

Speaker 1 (21:09):
We're talking to least early in Paramount sports dot Com
every Friday here on the Mac and Bone Show seven
to twenty five. Interesting matchup in the NFC South Bucks
and Falcons Bucks two and a half point favorites. What
are you doing with this one way?

Speaker 2 (21:23):
Yeah, A lot of people think that the Bucks still
won the Tampa two defense, and they don't want it
much here. They're all about blitzing and getting pressure on
the quarterback. Atlanta's second season quarterback, Michael Pennix doesn't have
a whole lot of experience against these type of tactics.
So it's a big game here for Tampa. They were

(21:45):
defeated by Atlanta, believe it or not, even though they
won the division both times last year. I just think
that Baker is ahead of Michael Pennix, who will eventually
be good but not there yet, and that revenge factor
going to be here preparing for this game. I like Tampa.
I think they win the game thirty to twenty.

Speaker 1 (22:05):
Seven, all right, least earling Paramount Sports with us. Okay,
So before we get your game in a week and
then you tell everybody what you got going on at
Paramount Sports this week, let's do the Panther game. Jaguars
three and a half point favorite at home. What do
you think.

Speaker 2 (22:23):
Trevor Lawrence. I was eager to see how he looked
in preseason and he's coming off shoulder surgery. Played a
total sixth series in all three preseason games, and I
thought he looked good Panthers defense. This is going to
be the key here. Got to get off the field,
allowing more than fifty third down conversions in the NFL

(22:45):
last year and also gave up, as we know, thirty
one point four points per game. The return Derek Brown
can't be understated. Got some free agent names and players
are plugging into this unit. Question is it going to
be enough? Can they get it, you know, down into
the mid to upper thirty. So that's the key. I

(23:05):
just think the Jacksville's receiver is going to present some
tough problems here. And I think they've kind of, like
a lot of teams, waited and saved some stuff for
week one. And here's a stat I found was really
interesting new head coaches week one when they are favored

(23:25):
five and zero since twenty and seventeen. I hate to
see it. I'm not don't don't like the Jacksonville fans.
I like Jacksonville twenty three seventeen.

Speaker 1 (23:35):
All right, there you go, Hey, at least you hate
the Jaguar fans. At least you could join us in
that this week. This is the this is the first
time you let me down, Jelly since the Duke.

Speaker 2 (23:43):
Pet About that?

Speaker 1 (23:46):
Yeah, we're rough week for Boning. I'm rooting for.

Speaker 2 (23:48):
Hey, the biggest one, obviously, you know is the is
the Carolina Panther game. So I hope that's the one
I get wrong.

Speaker 1 (23:56):
I don't like that. I like that. I like that.
I know you're not root against any of the picks
on the site though. That's hear. That is your Brandon
butter right, that's your work. So Paramount Sports, I know
you got a game of the week and Cardinals Saints,
but also I know you got a card this week,
So explain everybody how to get that game, how to
get all your picks this week.

Speaker 2 (24:15):
Yeah, they want to get that Cardinal Saints game, We'll
give it to them for free. Call eight hundred four
hundred nine seven four one. How about this. You know what?
I like the game tonight too, the Chiefs and Chargers
game they call. I'm going to give them both games,

Speaker 1 (25:07):
Very nice. All right, all right, best of luck, brother
and thank you for joining us. Man.

Speaker 2 (25:11):
Okay, thanks guys, thanks good right there you go.

Speaker 1 (25:13):
That is Lee Sterling. Yeah. We got multiple texters bone
that had the same bad beat as Lee, and one
of them went to sleep on it. Thought, you know,
I had to get up for work in the morning,
thought that forty one points at halftime, that he was
safe at an over of forty seven and a half.
Woke up and looked at the score and could not
believe he did not win the day of money. That's brutal,

(25:33):
usually happens to me. But I didn't have the over
under on the game last night. I had Jalen Hurts
anytime touchdown and Barkley anytime touchdown last night. So that
worked out pretty well. Well? It did? It did? It
worked out well? Because I'm looking at donuts right now
that you bought Bones. I've never rooted so hard. I
haven't rooted this hard for Saquon Barkley since he was
at Penn State. Actually, because I knew that if he scored,
I knew if Hurt scored, Bone say he's go Bias donuts.

(25:56):
You was fired up. You and Fiddy said a congrats text.
So far. Oh, I was so happy anyone Hurst. They
gave the football to the referee. Yet and all of
a sudden, you guys are sent in. He scored. Yet
I was so happy.

Speaker 2 (26:07):
Man.

Speaker 1 (26:08):
I had the Eagles in my teases, like three of
my five teases, I had the Eagles, and I was
sweating that one out down to the end, that final drive.
Thank god they tried to go deep on fourth and short,
but I thank god Sanders fumbled. But so I'm alive.
I didn't win it last night, but I'm alive now.
I realized Bone, why cowboy Fitty, he wasn't even tempted

(26:29):
last night. You weren't even tempted to be cowboy fitty
because you had reason to root for the Eagles, because
you wanted to get these free donuts.

Speaker 3 (26:37):
Brother, Well that was a big part of it, I mean,
and also like it never it never once entered my mind,
like I had the game feel any feelings. No, the
game was on. I was recording the Heel Tough Blog
podcast while Dallas was playing.

Speaker 1 (26:49):
Oh that's how disinterested you were.

Speaker 3 (26:51):
Like I can attest to you when I was when
Cowboys fitty was a thing. Did not record during Cowboy games.
When the Panthers start playing in prime time, which will
begin in full honesty next year, guess what we'll be
recording during Panther games. His Panther's fitty baby. I am
ready to go.

Speaker 1 (27:08):
I want to believe this bone. I want this man
on our side, bone. I want him on our side.
He's wearing the Panther thong for the fifth day in
a row. I want to believe in this man. I
wanted to believe in Santa until I was seventeen. All right,
all right, anyway, were there kids in the car right now?

(27:29):
Did you just do a KB? No? No, no, I'm
saying I want the Easter buddy, not saying. I mean,
I'm saying it's it's real. But I believe when other
people didn't believe. There you go. I like that I'm
talking about talking about good job there, Bony, good job
all right? Seven O four five, seven oh nine, six ten.
Keep your text in Panther Fitty. Also, by the way,

(27:52):
is a playboy fitty as well. Two dates. He's going
on a lunch day today, his second date in three days.
See what happens when you drop the cowboys and become
a Panther fan. All of a sudden, the ladies see
you in a different sort of way. They're not turned
off and disgusted by you. You know, it's very much true.

Speaker 2 (28:10):
Mac.

Speaker 3 (28:10):
Also, I think I look good in panther colors, so
I think it brings out my eyes.

Speaker 1 (28:14):
That's just what she said. Woo, you got an eye compliment?

Speaker 2 (28:18):
I did?

Speaker 1 (28:19):
Oh man, Yeah.

Speaker 3 (28:22):
I got an eye couples, she said the quote my
voice is soothing?

Speaker 1 (28:26):
Oh my god? Really do you agree with that?

Speaker 2 (28:28):
Mac?

Speaker 1 (28:28):
Who were you other about? Will Wade to Hubert Davis,
it's something wrong with her hearing I'm concerned about her
here at now we're worried about her. This dude says much.
Can we nominate Jayalen Carter for Dumbass of the Year?
Oh yeah, we can already put him in the running.
I'm not going to discount the ability bone of athletes
to do dumb things like he could have competition, he

(28:49):
will have competition. But how do you start the season
by walking up to the other team's quarterback. I don't
care what was said and just spit at him. First
of all, it's classless, it's disgusting, it's a horror thing.
Discussing thing you do another human, it's disrespectful. But then, bro,
you got teammates back. There are kind of counting on you.
You're kind of like the key to the whole defense,
which is lost like a bunch of other key players.

(29:10):
I just I am still in shock over what that
dude did. Man, Yeah, you go through the whole entire offseason,
you go through all that work, the training camps, all
the hype of your championship celebration in you hokeelug immediately.
You can't make it up. It's unbelievab And then you're right,
that sets the bar high because that is the first

(29:31):
moment of the season and someone did something stupid. First
moment of the year. Someone hawked a wog, And now
the bar is so high. I don't know what's going
to happen. It'll be a clubhouse leader, uh for a
long time. And remember why he fell in the draft.
It had a lot to do bone with the fact
that he was involved in the racing that led to
a crash. He wasn't in that car, but he was

(29:54):
involved in that. But also it was concerns about him
off the field, about his character, and I believe he
showed he showed some very bad character last night. In
that moment, not from Gastonia says, how can they phone
operator see Fitty's eyes? Now? Multiple people are saying, Dak

(30:15):
spit on him first, Oh my god, we got like
three people. I have not seen this angle. I have
not seen a shot that shows that. Say, is that true?
He's spitting near the nearight towards the bench area or something.
I don't know. I don't know this part of the story.
This is the This is like a Seinfeld episode. And

(30:36):
was there another spinner? Back into the left? Back into
the left. So anyway, all right, we gotta do this
real quick. Fiddy is backbone, not only with dates, not
only as a Panther fan, but as a update man.
The sports flash is back. What do you got over there? Fit?
It's all right, A little hometown or a big ole city.
Might as well shared, might as well smile lose on Bone.

Speaker 3 (31:00):
Wow, that's right, guys, want to welcome Bet three six
five to the Mac and Bone show family. This sports
report is brought to you by Bet three six five.

(31:20):
Mac last night as his girl Jessica Pagulia fell at
the US Open to the number one seed Saba Linka
and on the other women's draw the semifinals, Amanda a
Missanova who made the women in finals, a Cinderella, She's
reached the US Open final. Max, So we were denied
an all American women final. And I know you were

(31:42):
distraught over Jessica Pagulia going home in the.

Speaker 1 (31:46):
Same guys, gulaulaa, I am this this dack thing. Bone.
We got to look this up. I don't know anything
about this, but this is like the text are going crazy?
How do we all miss this? That spit while he
was in the huddle in his direction, but didn't spit
like at him necessarily. Okay, So was that just spitting

(32:07):
just to spit before the game. I don't know. I
got to see this. I got to see what y'all
are talking about here. But anyway, let's let's review it.
Let's review the film, Bone, Let's review the loogie film. Fitty,
don't be upset that I didn't go with the flow
and talk tennis there. We got to get it. This
is way more important, all right? What did your job?

Speaker 2 (32:23):
Baby? Did you?

Speaker 1 (32:24):
When we come back? Panthers are the first ones that
go against Travis Hunter. Do fans fear this matchup on
either side of the ball? And what worries you more
in this game? Hunter? The wide out or the Corner?
Sports Radio nine WFNZ Sports Radio ninety two seven WFNC.

(33:05):
Bone has got us some amazing donuts, butterfinger donuts. What
a concept? Bone, God, you're an amazing human, Bone. I
might pass out. Amazing human. All right, So the text
line's going crazy. We gotta talk about this. The text
line's going crazy. Lukeigate is upon us in the NFL.
There is no doubt about it. The text line is

(33:26):
going crazy by saying that Dak spit on him first.
Barstool Philly has the video, and I guess NBC did
eventually get around to showing this. A lot of people
are mad. Monroe Leira is angry they didn't show this
early in the broadcast. They only showed Carter. It looks
like he is spitting kind of in the direction of Carter,

(33:50):
kind of between his two linemen. But I don't think
he's spitting on Carter. Yeah, he's spitting on the ground
sort of. It looks like he's kind of spit in
the direction. And look, it looks like he's looking at
him what he looks like he's spitting in the direction.
There's also kind of a smirk that has angered a
lot of Texters. Bone this dude said, I don't blame

(34:10):
him for spitting one he spits and has that look
on his face. I don't blame Jalen Carter for getting mad.
I still think you got to keep you damn cool man.
I still think you got to keep you cool. Listen,
Dak Prescott got spit on, literally spit on, and he
didn't do anything right now, I guess I guess folks
that are like, you know, anti Dak on this one,

(34:31):
and maybe it's just people hating the Cowboys. I don't know.
I'm just trying to call it the way. You know,
I see it now, I know what the hell's going
on here. I guess people hate the you know that
are anti cowboy, anti Dak, are gonna say he you know,
he got the reaction he wanted. Because the reaction he
wanted he got Carter kicked out of the game. I
don't know it's it's it unless unless he's spit on

(34:52):
Carter first. I don't care if he's spit in your direction.
I don't care if he's spurked at you. You can't
do that. You can't do that in a team sport
where you're the most important person on your defense, especially
with the defense that lost some pieces, and it's important
even more than ever that you're the main guy now
because they're replacing some things. So not even one play
into the season and you took yourself out. Culture fit

(35:15):
says he had sunflower seeds and he's spit in his direction.
How do Dak had sunflower seeds? What is Dak a
baseball player? I go, I don't think I've ever seen
a quarterback with sunflower seeds before. How does cold like
right on the field? How does culture fit? And now
he could see you see the seed on the video.
How must be some extreme HD have never seen a
quarterback go to the seeds when they're on the field.

(35:36):
Sirloin hater says, Dak spit while Carter was five yards away.
That's what I'm saying. I don't think that's going on Carter.
I think that's in his direction. He did appear to
be looking at him right here, I'm spitting and I'm
looking at you. That should not result in you going
up to him and spitting directly on him like that
from point blank range. Like, I don't understand. Is it
an anti cowboy thing? Seems like a lot of people

(35:56):
are going out of their way to justify what Carter did.
I'd be fure if I was a legal fan, I'd
be furious with Jalen Carter. I think that is absurd behavior,
and I think what Dak did is just I don't
think it's that big of a deal like the Texters
seem to believe. Also, there's a lot of people that
are coming after Dak. Is that because Dak is a
Cowboys quarterback? Is that why they're there's conspiracy theories now

(36:19):
everything because it's just hatred for the Cowboys, which I'm
with you on but I but also I have to
try to call it the way I see it here too. Yeah,
I mean, the Eagles aren't some lovable bunch either, y'all.
I know they want us some damn donuts bone, but
they're not lovable. Why is everybody so quick to take
Jalen Carter's size? Someone else? Just playing Roger McDowell. That's
good callback, all right. So here's the quote from Dak

(36:42):
about it. He says, Yeah, I probably spent a thousand
times throughout the game, I mean, especially game day, maybe
even in general, and something I guess I'm not proud of.
But in that case, he was trolling. I guess you
could say, trying to mess with Tyler Booker, that's his
rookie guard. I was just looking at him. I was
right here by the two linemen, and I guess I

(37:04):
needed to spit. I wasn't gonna spit on my linemen.
I just I just spit ahead. I would say. He
was back there and wash in the sense that he goes,
are you trying to spit on me? At that point,
I felt like he was insulting me. I wouldn't spit
on somebody, So there you go. He's basically saying, Yah,
I spit. I want to go spit on my lineman.

(37:25):
So I spit. It was spit towards him, and that's
his that's Dak's story. Man. So Lugi gate is on. Man, fitty,
what's your belief in here? You have more knowledge of
dak In's history of spitting here, what's your what's your
takeaway on this?

Speaker 2 (37:37):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (37:38):
I mean I looked at the film, I reviewed it.
I think he was just spitting. They just had some
you know, some phlegm, a little bit of lugie that
he had to get rid of. And unfortunately Jalen Carter
took it a little bit too personal because it was
spat in his direction. The guy that's claiming he had
the sunflower seeds, that makes absolutely no sense. I am

(37:59):
never I mean, if it was Dip, maybe I could
be more open to that, but I don't think Dak dips.
I've never seen a quarterback walk onto a football field.

Speaker 1 (38:08):
And still have some sunlater seeds. Yeah, I well he do.
He wouldn't Dack have said that?

Speaker 3 (38:14):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (38:15):
Because I mean that just basically said I'm a spinner,
you know what I mean? Like when it comes to
not to be not to be too ridiculously silly here.
I shouldn't have phrased it that way. I should have
phrased it better. But he's just basically saying, this is
what I do on the field. A lot of players
do that. Now it does look fitty, doesn't it look
like he's looking in Carter's direction. It does kind of

(38:36):
look like. But again, that should not result in you
stepping to him, being like, you know, inches away and
just say I'm gonna spit on you. That they're not
equal offenses. That their says. You can't blame Jalen Carter.
That's how they greet each other in Philadelphia, the city
of brotherly luges. Oh my god, world class driver Dak

(38:59):
Spit Firm is the new Hans Hans shot first for
all my Star Wars people, I shouldn't have read that.
I don't understand that at all. I don't one of
us on the show understand that. Actually I don't. But
the Star Wars folks, you guys get that out there.
I think that was actually a diehard reference. Mac Irish
Coffee says, he said Star Wars. He said Star Wars.

(39:21):
Irish Coffee says, what is the dude doing standing five
yards in the Cowboys backfield. Yeah, why are you? You
were wicking for trouble. Yeah, I mean they wanted to
you could me talk trash? You do all that, you
spit in the direction of somebody, I don't have a
problem with it. I don't think Dack did anything. It's horrible,
but you spit on somebody, It's one of the most disgusting,

(39:42):
you know, pathetic things you can do to a human.
So I just I don't understand the amount of people
that are on here trying to deny. Now. I am
glad that y'all told us about that, because I didn't
see that overnight second game ended, I turned it off.
I actually fell asleep during the delay and had to
pause the game right before I fell asleep, so I
didn't see any forage of this, you know. So I'm
glad everybody told us, But I'm just kind of surprised

(40:03):
by that everybody thinks those actions are like equals on
that culture culture fit is updated Mac no sunflower seeds.
For his next viewing of the video, he now sees
no sunfinwe there you go, he has rolled out the
sun for our seeds. I've never seen a quarterback back
right down near the hondole, putting some seeds in his Hey,
you have to bag with him, in that little bag
with him, you know, just put that down his pants.
The chef on the text line, chef says, Cowboy Fitty

(40:25):
sounds like he's back.

Speaker 3 (40:26):
This feels like a set up by you to get
my opinion on Dak Prescott. I don't rip Dak Prescott
all of a sudden, I'm a Cowboy fan again. News flash,
Dak Prescott's th reason why I fell out of love
with that team and why I'm not a fan of
them anymore.

Speaker 1 (40:40):
So let's let's let's let's not start one. Let's start
something fiddy. If you're a real panther, Faniel, what Max
spit on you during the break? God, now we've gone
too far. And the man's more of thong all week,
for God's sake, the man's put twenty hours of thong
wearing in.

Speaker 3 (40:56):
I'll tell you what we know you can spin on
me when you bury me in the ground during Cowboys Week.

Speaker 1 (41:01):
Oh yeah, we we did come up with an idea
during the break that they that we do a funeral
for Cowboy Fitty because because because he proclaimed us Bone
Cowboy Fitty is dead. Guys, So I had the we
had the idea, what if we did a funeral for
the man? Can we do it at the doghouse? That
would be right before the game. That would be amazing,
wouldn't that? Yeah, everyone, certain people can say a few

(41:24):
words if they want to, maybe a couple of how
about them say goodbye? I guess, Oh god, that could
be fun. That could be fun. When we come back
on the Mac and Bone Show on this Football Friday,
