of New England. I think like Drake may scares me

hell of a tight end. He might be the biggest.

been getting getting going that much against the Pants in
Booty are their two best wideouts. Collins starts for them
as the other wide out, Hunter Henry to me, might
be the one you worry about the most of the

in there. They do have some names. Carlton Davis is
a big money guy for them. They do have some
names on defense, but I don't really there's not a
lot with this team on paperback that terrifies you at all,

especially offensively. Yeah, there's not a lot of why the
Panthers may have a deeper roster actually of guys that
are are better than some of these Patriots.

I'm just starting to talk myself into picking the Panthers.
Like I came into this show with an open mind.

is a spot that Panthers would let us down, but
also acknowledging this game is definitely winnable, right, especially if
we defended like last week, especially if we win the
turnover battle and New England turned it over five times
last week. Bone Stevenson fumbled twice, once at the goal line,

Antonio Gibson fumble once. Can we force some turnovers and
Panthers been pretty good. We're fourth in the league at
forc some turnovers after the three we forced last week.
I do worry a little bit about the run game
matchup for us. We have not been at our best.
We had our best week running the ball last week,
and it's no coincidence, Bone that was the week where
we didn't fall behind because the run game is based
right on consistency, rhythm and I keep pounding it at you,

but they're second in the league in run deep.

They've been really good in run defense.

But even if they stuff the run bone, their pass
defense has been so brutal that I feel like this
could be a good day for Bryce, although we still don't.

They can't turn it over and give this offense, you

up the blitzes and stuff like that. And weren't a
predictable passing situation. So there is a little bit of

a worry. It's like, could the turnovers come because we
don't run the football against the good run defense. Christian
Gonzales is back to so you would expect that to
improve their pass defense. And uh, I also think Bony
can the other wide receivers win the non Christian Gonzales
Corners really struggled right when he was out. But our

wide receivers other than t Mac Bone, they really struggle.
Like we're on here every Friday begging people other than
t Mac to make plays.

names on defense, but I don't really there's not a
lot with this team on paperback that terrifies you at all,

Panthers may have a deeper roster actually of guys that

matchup for us. We have not been at our best.
We had our best week running the ball last week,

we didn't fall behind because the run game is based

the media yesterday and again full accountability. He could hide
from the media, he could not talk, you know, if
he wanted to. He was out there and he was
standing up guy for second straight week. Y'all might have
to turn the radio volume up on this one a
little bit because there's crowd. There's not crowd noise. There's

noise in the locker room in the background. But just
what do y'all think? And Boone, what do you think
when you hear Excel answering questions about his injured hamstring?

Didn't practice yesterday? Yeah, I'm making probably this day by day.
I know they taking it a little slower than me.
So everything that I'm doing right now, if my hemster,
you feel pretty good?

Is this a situation where if this were say a
playoff game or something, you might push through it or
is you having trouble pushing off of it or.

Knowing whatever they need me to do.

Man, what's the feeling like, cat? How does it feel
different than usually? I'm pretty solid right now. Coach told
us how you were begging him last week to let
you play. How tough has it been to have to
sort of sit back and watch you?

You know, I want to be in a game.

I mean, I want to do so much of what
they want me to do.

So how is this the case where you want to
play and they're saying no, you're not ready to Oh no, no.

And if you feel like this, you're gonna be sitting
out another week. That's what you mean. It's just the
coaches too, whatever they want me to do. What do
you want to do right? If I if I can,
if I'm able to this up? Would you say though
right now physically your handstring is not ready to play

in a game. I wouldn't say that.

Oh I maybe have to be a little limited or
something like that, or maybe I could play.

What do you think about that. First of all, that
is not the Excel that we're used to. That is
a really downtrodden lack of energy exceled that I don't
I don't think we've heard him. Even if there's a
mistake in a game, he usually has a very upbeat
energy about him. So it does make you wonder if
this is there's a lot more going on behind the
scenes than just the injury. Maybe this is a little

bit of rehabilitation of his mind going on here as
much as an injury happening.
Speaker 5 (29:20):
Yeah, I listened to that. That sounds like normal Excel
there at all.
Speaker 4 (29:23):
First of all, Yeah, he does sound sad as hell,
and I feel bad for him, but it's a performance
based business, right Like he's got to perform when he
plays again. But I think he's a genuine dude, and
I do feel bad that he's going through it. But yeah,
it really sounds like and I don't know if he
wanted Somebody says he spilled the beans there. It sounds
like I don't know if he was trying to spill
the beans or if he just kind of said too much.

But but yeah, makes it sound like.

I could probably play, at least in a limited fashion,
or maybe I wouldn't even be limited, wouldn't say that
I'm too hurt to play?

I feel solid? And how many times did he say
coach's decision. It's so whatever the coaches want to do,
and it really does. And last week people had the
conspiracy theory, right, a lot of fans, Oh, they're doing
what we think they did with Bryce in his rookie
year that third game. They said, you know he was hurt,
but you know, we don't know if he was really
hurt or whatever. It does sound like the way you

put it, like a mental rest or whatever. Is that
part of it, Like there's probably an injury there, but
the Panthers taking it as an opportunity man to get
this dude to just kind of chill a little bit.
Speaker 6 (30:29):
But is he frustrated with that? Does he want back
out there? Because the injury just happened in practice? Right?
It was one of those ones where it's, oh, actually
did something in practice and he's hurt. It wasn't like
in a game when it came out where we saw it.
We don't we have no idea what exactly are they
just using this as a as a break to try
to get him right.
Speaker 4 (30:46):
At least he didn't say there was never any injury.
I don't know why I'm not playing. I don't know
why they told me my hamstring hurts. So that is
a fascinating situation. And I said it after two weeks,
I'm like, you know, a benching. I said, they did
it with Bryce. If they want to sit him down,
let him reset, or just lower his snaps, it would
make sense to me, it would.

I don't know what's going on. People are mad at
the reporters. They said there were too many questions. You
got dizzy after twenty one straight questions. Well, they could tell.

you can hear j C. Horn lows day on the
Pep Talk and then you heard j C. Horn stay
to t Mac, I got five in a car seat,
meaning I got I got him locked down a little

Horn when he did his presser yesterday said what you're
getting ready to hear he I guess he didn't like
having it out there, Bony, which is interesting because the
team put it out there.

that kind of gotten creshed on social media, you saying

in the moment that kind of came out there. Yeah,
they were not supposed to get out, o they under
the pregame speakers. But yeah, just he in the moment
talking talking to my teammates. Nothing against Fading now. I
think he a good player too. We had battles over
the last couple of years. You know, I can't wait

It really feels like the type of game bone, and
both teams have had these issues. Last week the Patriots
lose to the Steelers. Why they turned it over five times,
including once at the goal line the first two weeks
in a season. Why did the Panthers lose those games?
Number one reason? Because of turnovers. It feels like a
game bone that could come down to turnovers, you know
what I mean? Like the teams feel that close.

It feels like it's gonna be ugly and it's gonna
be a matchup where who I know that you could
say this for a lot of games. I think you
know what I'm talking about when I say this, who
can make the fewest mistakes in this football? Because I
think both teams probably will. I think it'll be ugly,
but I think it's gonna be who makes the fewest mistakes,
who maybe doesn't miss the field goal, muff upon do
something like that to win this game.
