Speaker 1 (00:14):
We could. It's just that fits.
Speaker 2 (00:16):
When you're a Manda man team, all you got to
do is put your best receiver in the slot or
at number three in trips. And if you're not a
man team, Jc's not on them. So there's schematic there's
schematic limitations with what you can do unless you're just
gonna say, hey, we're gonna play five man rush cover one,
you know, and that's not really what we do. We
mix it in. But jac will find his opportunities to
(00:37):
find the best receiver. And that was a part of it.
And I got to give Dallas credit. You know, they
stayed in tempo. They just got to the ball. George
Pickens was on one side. You can't flip corners in
the middle of a play when you're at the line
of scrimmage. So great job by Shoddy and Cowboys by
game planning us and getting them into some situations right there.
But I just love j C's competitiveness. He wants to
(00:57):
go against the best. It's like that in practice. He
wanted to go gets to Tyro McMillan all camp. I'm
gonna show this kid what's up, you know, And I
got that new baut of Town yep. And that's the
type of challenge that we want. That's the mentality we want.
Speaker 1 (01:08):
To have there it is.
Speaker 3 (01:10):
That's the clip I was talking about Boone from Panther Talk.
Those guys do a great job's and you always get
a couple of different things that you didn't get in
the Monday presser or maybe a little more in depth.
I also heard a niche Shtruff on Panther Talk say
that when the Panthers run duo right, which is that
run play with the double team block, they are averaging
five and a half yards a carry. That's been a
(01:31):
huge part of this success is those double teams with
our big old o lineman.
Speaker 1 (01:37):
But you heard it there about JC.
Speaker 3 (01:39):
I'm not sure Panther fans are gonna hear that and
be like, oh, okay, that's fine. That's why he doesn't
cover like We're gonna probably want more and more at
least while Mike Jack is struggling a little bit.
Speaker 1 (01:49):
Maybe let him get his confidence back up.
Speaker 3 (01:51):
But it would be nice to see them try to
find I know, maybe he can't do it all the time,
but maybe more time when JC is is on the
top receiver lord. When he asked for it. You did it.
You did it on the final drive. So if you
can do it, there, can't you do it more often?
Speaker 1 (02:06):
You would think?
Speaker 4 (02:06):
So what I You know, it's just the at some
point the hesitation has to go away, and the benefit
of the football team is JC traveling. So get him
his passport about my man move, you know what I'm saying.
You know, I'm not a real id. Let him through
a trophy.
Speaker 3 (02:21):
Husband says, j C does travel, He goes with the
team on away games. That I would say, that's a
dad joke. But that's an insult to dad jokes. To
call that a dad joke. That's like a granddad joke.
That thing is so cheesy and corny is far as
a matter of fact, howly something Bone would say, actually, anyone,
what he is that about? Or something I would say, Yeah, Harry,
(02:44):
that's more like it. All right, let's uh, let's do
this though, baby, And I'm sure that'll be a conversation
throughout the week, maybe if Arro will get asked a
little bit more about it once we get to the
Thursday coordinator pressers. Uh, somebody just pointed something out that
I did not realize. I was here saying I hate
to see the Falcons go off like they did last
night against the Bills. Can't stand the dirty birds. But
(03:06):
and I was saying, well, at least the Bills, who
we play in less than two weeks. They're clearly injured,
They're clearly not on form right now. Josh Allen is
not at his best, but and the defense clearly bony.
But then somebody just gave me this too ad bit.
They have a dang bye week this week. I didn't
realize that. Yeah, they Yeah, that's right. How much healthy
(03:27):
are they going to get over to bye week? And
how much will they refresh? Josh Allen will hang out
with his Hollywood starlet wife And why do.
Speaker 1 (03:34):
I have a feeling we'll see a different version.
Speaker 4 (03:35):
Yeah, And of course they have a tight end for
us to worry about in Dalton Kincaid. He did not
play last night, which is a problem for them. They
don't have a ton of you know, They've got shakiir
and Coleman who they depend on, but Dalton Kinkaid is
a big part of what they do, so I would
guess he's ready to go. So the only thing about
their schedule mac I would say, then if it's the Panthers,
(03:57):
not the buye the game after the Panthers they host
the Kansas City Chiefs. So while the buy wooms large
for the Panthers, so does the loook ahead factor as well,
because you know what that Chiefs game means to that organiz.
Speaker 1 (04:12):
That's a good point, and that is a good point.
Speaker 3 (04:13):
Although after two straight losses, I have a feeling bone
our game will be treated like it's a player, you
know what I mean, Like it's in a state of emergency.
I guarantee you in Buffalo right now, right.
Speaker 1 (04:23):
Right, young play better than Josh Allen. I said it.
Oh man by is price ahead of him? The MVP?
Is that what you're trying to get?
Speaker 5 (04:28):
A bony?
Speaker 3 (04:29):
All right, let's get into this man. So we as
Panther fans are so freaking excited with three and three.
What was the tweet that McAfee read off on his show,
three and three feels like seventeen to Oh, the Panther
fan tweeted to him, and I completely relate to that feeling.
I'm guessing y'all do as as much of as mess
as it has been in the temper era, as ugly
(04:51):
as it has been to start season's Bone of late
here last seven eight years.
Speaker 1 (04:57):
It does.
Speaker 3 (04:57):
It is just progress. Trade wins three and O home.
All these things feel bigger to us than they would
to many other fan bases. So what's happening is, in
my opinion, Bone, there is an urge to maybe get
ahead of our skis a little bit as fans. One
of those things is talking playoffs. Should we really be
doing that? But the first thing I want to ask
is put on Willie Pee on the post game show
(05:20):
on one of the first two callers saying, I hear
Bony Man, we gotta go get this at the trade deadline.
We gotta go get that at the trade deadline. Fans
want to be buyers at the trade deadline, Bony. We
just had multiple guys say, hey, maybe you can get
cornerback help at the trade deadline.
Speaker 1 (05:36):
Are you into that? Are you into.
Speaker 3 (05:38):
Talking about Garrett Wilson got mentioned earlier, you mentioned I
wonder if they're.
Speaker 1 (05:42):
Thinking about trading them.
Speaker 3 (05:43):
Somebody followed up with that, do you like have like
do you want to go there?
Speaker 4 (05:49):
Not to that level, because Garrett Wilson is gonna take
a lot to get hit. I'm not going Mac for
a star player, per se I don't think they're there yet.
I would add some corner help, especially if Mike Jack
is struggling further like he is right now. I don't
know if this weekend's a good indicator of that based
off of no Garrett Wilson probably for the Jets and
(06:11):
hard to kind of judge the other receivers against him
this week. But if you don't believe in Mike Jack
across from j C Warn, then I would try to
get some depth or value at the corner spot. But
Garrett Wilson Mac is going to cost you a lot,
and I'm not going all in right now in the
jammed up NFC to where I think I'm not gonna
sacrifice something of the future, a high pick, whatever it is.
(06:34):
I'll go get some value like dam Morgan can do
at times, but I'm not gonna go in there and
try to get a star player right now. I have
to be honest. You've got a lot of guys coming
back also on your own roster. I have to be
honest with you.
Speaker 3 (06:46):
Guy says Jets not trading Garrett Wilson clowns that's not
the point of this story. Ewan Bone can talk that
out on text. Bone, it's very nice in the Texter
Garrett Wilson. Garrett Wilson seems really happy right now with
the Jets. But anyway, his dad did play football, Davidson
as a textra. But anyway, I don't even care about that.
What I the conversation here is, are we getting to
ahead of ourselves? I is it wrong? And you're gonna
(07:09):
call it. You're all gonna call me boring right now.
I don't really even care about being buyers at the
trade deadline at all. I'm not saying we don't have needs.
The pass rush is last in a league in sacks
and sack percentage. The cornerback, yeah, we could use another cornerback.
And I'm already looking at the draft and saying, I
wonder if you need a draft another pass rusher, and
I wonder if you go first round corner for JC
Horn's long term running mate.
Speaker 1 (07:30):
So I am doing that.
Speaker 3 (07:32):
I just think Bone that in the minds of the Panthers,
this is the year before the year. I've said that
for months now. I've had myself old measured Max saying
this is the year before the year, and I believe
that's the case.
Speaker 1 (07:45):
So in the year before the year.
Speaker 3 (07:47):
Should we be giving away future draft assets in the
trade deadline or should we just keep developing what we
have and then evaluating our needs in the off season
and then hammer them. Then go in and say, this
is the off season where we have to put the
pieces to where we're a playoff team.
Speaker 4 (08:04):
Like, is that the better way to handle this? I
think one thousand percent. I don't like to say Mac
is right, but Mac is right, Mac is right back,
Mac is right. No, because just because they got the
five hundred right now, Mac, we don't want to you
mentioned getting ahead of our skis. Let's just stay the course.
Let's not get too far ahead right now because things
are going well. But do you want to sacrifice something
(08:27):
of the future that may hurt you asset wise because
you're doing well right now. It's working for the moment
when it keep working, keep building. There will be a
time when it's time to strike for a bigger piece.
Now it's not the right time. Keep building, keep playing well,
keep developing. We saw the hornets Mac too many times
where they thought they were going maybe in the right direction.
(08:49):
They wanted to make a trade, they added something, then
they got stuck with something and they went backwards. Don't
go backwards. Just keep moving, even if it's at a
slow pace for the last decade or so, keep moving,
keep building in the right direction. We'll all know when
it's time to add that bigger piece. Other than depth
and maybe you know, helping out Mike Jack and putting
(09:10):
him in a different I don't know what you do
over there. That's the only spot I would add depth.
But I'm not going to get some massive piece right,
definitely not star.
Speaker 3 (09:17):
And I'm not necessarily really even wanting to give up
a fourth round pick for a vent you know, you
know what I mean. Like, I'm just kind of I
am very pleased with progress, Like I just And that's
the thing is, we got this jam that.
Speaker 4 (09:29):
We're in a lot because we made a lot of
trade to want to move that didn't work out.
Speaker 3 (09:33):
I just, I just I'm very pleased with progress. I
wanted to see progress. I was very afraid at one
in three there was no progress. And I'm starting to
see progress. So I'm very happy and content with it.
I'm not saying there's not need, you know, I'm not.
And a couple of textas point out wide receivers not
even the position they would name. At this point, I
tend to agree with him. I want to see Jalen
(09:53):
Coker get back. I want to see affect sales, got
anything bony, you know, I just again, I just want
to let this process play out. I know it is
annoyed Fitty because Fiddy was ranting yesterday about Process Matt.
He thinks Process Mac is lame. Because I'm just into
let this process play out. I sound like an annoying coach,
but I really think we're onto something and we don't
(10:14):
need to necessarily.
Speaker 4 (10:15):
You grew up in the Cowboys system also of always
trying to get the star players and the biggest names
that might be, that might be what that product if
Pitty's lost Jones boy, I think he grew up as
a as a fan back of the Niles Cowboys. By
the way, the Cowboy Montage of Misery is set to
go today. We will definitely have to do that one
before too long here. As a matter of fact, where
(10:37):
are we going to do that?
Speaker 3 (10:37):
Because we got to play it twice and by the way,
as Bone pointed out, we could do about four montages.
They are crazy like then they have like these like
star fans like Skip Bayless, and Michael Irvin they're crazy.
And this comedian named Bubba Bubba Dubb Bubba Dub is crazy.
So they have a lot of these famous kind of
cowboy fans.
Speaker 1 (10:57):
They was more heavy lifting.
Speaker 4 (10:58):
It was more famous people then the callers on this one, right,
And I think might be the MVP of this one.
I was laughing out loud at one of his rants.
That's just so absurd.
Speaker 3 (11:09):
Next maybe maybe we do it next seven twenty five,
I can't wait.
Speaker 1 (11:14):
And a couple of things. All right.
Speaker 3 (11:15):
So, at the risk of at the risk of angering
process Mac boring old process Mac here Bone, should we
talk about playoffs at all? We're a half game out
of the final wild card spot. Uh, there aren't a
lot of teams that are stepping up way ahead of us.
(11:35):
Like I said, Bone, there are ten teams in the
NFC at four and two, three and two or three
and three, and we're one of those three and three teams. Call,
she said, Bone, we have a eighteen They were one
of these stat you know, sites eighteen percent chance of
making the playoffs.
Speaker 4 (11:54):
I've never felt I've never felt such a high percentage
you feel live, Do.
Speaker 3 (11:58):
We talk playoffs or should process Mac shoot that down
to Bone.
Speaker 4 (12:02):
I mean, they're they're in the mix. The playoff police.
Though Mac is out looking for us right now. They
do not want us there. Some guys said he will
not listen to this show until they make the playoffs,
although he's listening to the show right now, so I
don't look. But I mean the NFC, the way the
NFL is now, it's a parody filled league, and that's
never been more prevalent than what the NFC is right now.
(12:23):
You talk about Jimmy jammed up there in the NFC,
there are so many teams all near each other, from
the two and fours to the four and twos, the two,
three and ones. There are a lot of teams back
and we are right pluck in the middle of all that.
Speaker 3 (12:39):
This dude says, surprising playoff teams happen every year. Guys
don't act like it can't happen. I'm not acting like
it can't happen. I just don't want to go there
right now. I mean, I'm tempted to. It's kind of
like Bone having a whole bucket of fried chicken sitting
there and you're on a diet, like I'm trying.
Speaker 1 (12:58):
To be measured. I'm trying into process.
Speaker 3 (13:03):
Yeah, if you if you got you said that wasn't
the point in his whole thing here, you got yourself lost.
Speaker 1 (13:12):
I it's very tempting.
Speaker 3 (13:14):
And if they this guy says, all they got to
do is win one more game, and Mac will be
in Like it's tempting.
Speaker 1 (13:20):
It's fun.
Speaker 3 (13:21):
It's fun to talk that way, right, just like it's
fun to talk about being buyers at the trade deadline.
I believe we gotta wait here. How about this bone
they beat the Jets and beat the Bills. I'm talking
p word like, I'm talking possibilities. I'm not making any guarantee.
It's possibilities a word. Are you with me on that playoff? Possibilities?
(13:41):
If they if they beat the Jets and the Bills.
Oh yeah, it's a fair game then, right because that
will be what five and three?
Speaker 6 (13:48):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (13:48):
Five and three?
Speaker 5 (13:49):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (13:49):
You have to be start talking right now? Should we
be talking about it?
Speaker 3 (13:52):
Seems like most Texters are angry that we've even said
the word the police.
Speaker 1 (13:56):
Mac.
Speaker 4 (13:57):
You know what made me this is how much worse
we've been just wanting some form of relevancy. I just
happened to have the sound up last night at halftime
of Commander's Bears when Chris Berman was doing his fastest
minute highlights and the Panthers came up. Maget He's going, ah,
he's doing this whole thing, and he says, don't look now,
(14:17):
the Panthers are three and three. So even got like
a little shout out there. We've not had that a lot, man,
And it feels good just to be mentioned.
Speaker 5 (14:25):
Man, it is.
Speaker 1 (14:26):
And that's the thing is it's fun.
Speaker 3 (14:27):
So like it's like being at a party and you
have a really good buzz, right, and you're like, is
this feeling good? But I really want to keep I'm irish, right,
so I just want to keep drinking them. But I
know if I drink them, it could go badly, could
be hungover to Mark, could act a fool, you know
what I mean. Right now, it's like it's intoxicating. Do
(14:47):
we just stay bone with our nice buzz, or do
we talk let's be buyers as a trade deadline, or
do we talk we could be a playoff team, like,
you know what I mean. So it's really tempting to
have that next drink of Panther eight. I was gonna say,
it's like It's like we're playing blackjack, you know. Do
we just hold and stay and just stay the course
and then just or do we try to go off
(15:08):
or do we go all the way in and try.
Speaker 4 (15:09):
To really do this thing when we come back. A
couple of things here we have talking heads, talking panthers
and cowboys, a lot of cowboy talk from yesterday on
the national scene, and it's arrived the can't miss must
hear Dallas, Dallas Cowboys Montage of Misery. You have to
hear how celebrities and media reacted to the Cowboys. Loll
(15:33):
Sports Radio ninety two seven WFNZ.
Speaker 7 (15:39):
Y'all loft the Carolina Indeed, indeed, no offish to bride
young nice young man starting to come home with. He's
developing me quite well right now. But let's be real,
young was always way to the damn ufail. We always
wait to the us fayl and y'all go up to
the currentlinal dy'all let him put that old build cabasad
bob if you owe him up there. That's why it
(16:01):
was slervish today.
Speaker 5 (16:03):
I liked it with some barbecue sauce on that button.
I don't know if you noticed, but I did not
talk to the media after the game. A lot of yesterday, right,
and that you tell you upset I was. I mean
anytime I passed on a chance to get in front
of a camera and throw out a bunch of word salad, nonsensical,
unrelated stories. You can bet I'm pissed. I am a
(16:26):
pissed literally burns from my rear end right there.
Speaker 6 (16:30):
I'm gonna go right now and get some sol I'm
gonna wash this out of my mouth because that fift
the stuff. I gotta wash it out of my mouth.
I don't know what this Doll's Cowboys team is. I'd
been lied to run them up. Let us straight. I
don't know what they are, but I know it's not
good road.
Speaker 1 (16:51):
He called us out.
Speaker 8 (16:52):
You better buckle up, and we called in sick. It
was pure vomits sickness. It was run to the toilet.
Speaker 1 (17:03):
It was diarrhea's sickness.
Speaker 8 (17:06):
It was disgusting puke sickness, puke all over the floor sickness.
Speaker 5 (17:14):
Damn go. My sports weekend had me underway to Walmart
to buy a gallon of bleach and direct.
Speaker 8 (17:20):
They lost to the Carolina Panthers.
Speaker 7 (17:24):
I could come on here and lie all day long.
Speaker 1 (17:26):
But I can't lie to myself no more. We not
going no work. We ain't going no further than our
live move from playoffs. He's that's the forest, were going
out go on.
Speaker 5 (17:37):
I am so tired of my kids drawing me pictures
for my birthday and thinking that's a gift. I don't
want no crayon drawing of Terry Junior and me holding
hands going fishing. You know, I mean, I put that
crap in the doc Shredders And as he leaves the room.
Speaker 9 (17:57):
I like Bryce a lot. I think he still has pet.
He has a bad quarterback cadence. He's got kid voice.
He doesn't just look like a kid, he sounds like
a kid.
Speaker 1 (18:07):
I'd call that man, daddy.
Speaker 8 (18:08):
I've loved this team since I was ten years old.
Speaker 1 (18:11):
I just can't take it anymore.
Speaker 8 (18:13):
It's just it just rips my heart and my guts
out to even watch them suck.
Speaker 1 (18:21):
Oh God, that's enjoyable.
Speaker 8 (18:23):
Man.
Speaker 3 (18:23):
Now that's a montage of misery right there, baby, emphasis
on misery.
Speaker 1 (18:28):
When a capital M they down bed and calb and
Den Boys Nation Bony.
Speaker 4 (18:33):
All right, this was three minutes of about thirty We
could have had there so much we could have done.
All right, So this is what we want to know.
Was that a cameo by weatherban Mark in there? Yes,
that was audio. Well, we had some cliffs in there
from under Mac was in there this week.
Speaker 3 (18:45):
I like it so okay, So this is where I
got to give out the credits of what you just heard.
Usually usually I just say like one or two sports
radio stations, but with Den Boys, you have all these
different celebrities that gott to drop their depress videos when
the Boys lose to the Lotally Paranthers. Oh God, dare Dad.
I love the way everybody crashes out when the Panthers
beat them. Skip's got diarrhea. Can't even pronounced the word correctly.
(19:09):
He's so beat up. But anyway, you had the ticket
and the fan in Dallas, two sports radio stations. You
had Skips video, you had Michael Irvin's video, and you
had a guy named Bubba Dubb, who I is not
familiar with his game, but this guy lost his damn mind.
Speaker 4 (19:26):
That Skip's friend a comedian that used to be on
his show sometimes as a co host.
Speaker 1 (19:31):
Bubba Dub is known.
Speaker 4 (19:32):
By the way, it's also good fact that you found
audio of Jerry Jones.
Speaker 1 (19:36):
Also, that's pretty cool man. Oh yeah, where'd you find that?
Speaker 3 (19:39):
How many people thought Jerry was really saying that stick
put it together? And I still don't know. That's fake Jerry.
That's the Ticket's fake Jerry. They do that every week.
That is tremendous radio. But anyway, we'll do it again.
That's not the only time it's gonna run, y'all. Let's
go run later today it's too much fun to beat
the Cowboys. We're three and three. And yes, I do
realize that many texts Bone are pointing out that a
(20:02):
very panther thing to do would be to get us
excited and lose to the zero to six Jets.
Speaker 1 (20:05):
I don't want to deal with that yet.
Speaker 3 (20:07):
We'll deal with that at some point this week, Bony,
that would be But I'm not gonna deal with that yet.
Speaker 4 (20:12):
That would be my We the team that shouldn't win
anything right now, beats the team that's rolling.
Speaker 3 (20:16):
Yeah, you want the Jets to lose. Oh, I want
the Planters to win. So that's another reason why this one.
I bet it gets the Jets every week here. I
need to make some money off of that.
Speaker 1 (20:24):
All right, let's do this let's get into we're gonna
add you go. We're gonna make it even better.
Speaker 3 (20:27):
Because you're gonna hear more comments that are gonna entertain you.
Some of you are gonna get you fired up the
national media. I honestly thought it would be all about
the Cowboys and I'd have a hard time finding people
talk Panthers. We actually had people talking Panthers and saying
nice things.
Speaker 1 (20:42):
Man. I thought it would be all about what's wrong
with Dallas.
Speaker 3 (20:45):
I know, by the way, oh the Panthers beating Rico
Daddle guy had a lot of yards, But it wasn't.
There were some good stuff in there. But first we've
got to detail the stephen A. Smith's saga Bone. So
apparently steven A. Smith picked against us on Friday. The
Panthers noticed that when we got the dub against Dallas,
they had to give steven A the business. So this
is the audio of the Panthers video from their social
(21:08):
media team Bone that they put out there. And then
you're gonna hear steven A's reaction on first take. But
here's what the Panthers did.
Speaker 1 (21:15):
Should the Cowboys be on upset alert, I don't think so.
Speaker 10 (21:20):
Touchdown, I saw Carolina go come back against Miami last week.
But that's Miami.
Speaker 9 (21:26):
Why don't the man's double and he's gonna take it
to the ends.
Speaker 1 (21:30):
One against this far team.
Speaker 11 (21:32):
If that's the Dallas Cowboys, they're putting up forty.
Speaker 1 (21:34):
Both offenses are just shy of thirty.
Speaker 10 (21:37):
I just don't think that defense is gonna be able
to stop Dallas's offense.
Speaker 12 (21:41):
Loy drap by Williams and he gets swung down by
Wallace for another loss.
Speaker 3 (21:54):
All right, So there you go. So that's what the
Panthers did to steven A. So they come on first take,
and they got to get to immediately that the Panthers
just waylaid you on social media making fun of your prediction.
And Cam was actually in studio, which made it even
better dynamic. At one point, Cam told him to stop
what he was saying about the Panthers and their fans.
(22:15):
But listen to steven A Bone. I think he thinks
to the Panthers got him good.
Speaker 10 (22:19):
First of all, I'll con see that was a beautiful
ass video.
Speaker 1 (22:27):
That's number one. Okay, that's number one, and number two.
Speaker 10 (22:31):
I apologize with a small them up face.
Speaker 1 (22:35):
Thank you. They got Cab. I mean they are absolutely right.
Speaker 10 (22:39):
They should have told me, my dumb ass, So what
was I.
Speaker 1 (22:42):
Thinking with the panel, the CollegeBoard?
Speaker 10 (22:45):
How could I do such a thing, even to the
Carolina Panthers, who have been a model of aneptitude the.
Speaker 5 (22:51):
Last few years.
Speaker 10 (22:52):
And it's nice to see y'all relevant again. You got
a five hundred record for the first time since I
had a halfro.
Speaker 1 (22:57):
I mean, let me tell you something right now. They
deserve it. I like the job their coach is doing.
Speaker 10 (23:04):
I like how Bryce Young is looking okay, and ricco Donald.
I didn't know Emmon Smith was gonna show up a
Carolina Panther NIFA. I was calling them, sorry, but I mean,
I'm only I'm only having for what y'all man, I'm
only playing. Congrats to the Carolina Panthers. Congrats to the
social media team. That's exactly what you should have diagreed.
Speaker 1 (23:25):
I deserved it.
Speaker 10 (23:26):
You understand they are accurate one thousand percent on point,
getting on me. A matter of fact, to my producers,
give me a copy of that damn video. I'm gonna
play it everywhere today because they got me.
Speaker 1 (23:39):
I deserve it. How damn me.
Speaker 4 (23:42):
Here's first of all, well done to the Panthers social
media team problems. Here's why it's brilliant because there's so
much cowboy focus. On first take, the Panthers could easily
be ignored like they were on Get Up Yesterday, But
for the Panthers to become a discussion point, you may
a video about steven A that he has to address
(24:03):
the next thing. You know, he's talking Panthers and not
just cowboy. I didn't even think it really strategy. That
is a great point. Do you think they did that
on purpose?
Speaker 3 (24:10):
Do you think they were just trying to bust on
steven A, who's this big, larger to light figure.
Speaker 4 (24:14):
I don't know, because they're very smart over there with
their social stuff. So did they think, like, we'll get
him to talk about us, even though it's in a
joking way about what he said before, because otherwise they'll
just ignore it completely.
Speaker 3 (24:25):
You know what that segment would have been on that show.
Otherwise it would have been five minutes on what the
hell's wrong with Dallas? And then oh, by the way,
we need to point out that guy's name that ran
for two or thirty on till Yarnezrico Dawdle by the way,
and the Panthers are three and three, and then they'd
move on.
Speaker 4 (24:39):
To bro Cam was on also and now would put
the heat on.
Speaker 3 (24:44):
He was like, we didn't pull any of Cam talking,
but he is dying laughing in the background the whole time.
So well done, Panthers, Admin and steven A.
Speaker 1 (24:54):
That was funny.
Speaker 3 (24:54):
Keep picking against us steven A too, So can we
add his name to my name?
Speaker 1 (24:58):
People?
Speaker 3 (24:58):
We won picking against the Panthers. Yeah, I remember thee
lest All right, let's get to something. The haters have
a chance this Sunday. Let's get to some more. That's right.
We we could have controlled too.
Speaker 1 (25:09):
We both picked the cowboys. Why are we laughing at Steve?
And how goofy is? Are gonna wait?
Speaker 4 (25:14):
Fiddy does a good job of putting up our score
predictions on Sunday Morning. Mag We're gonna have to keep
this steam. But mine might say Jets thirty one, Panther seventeen.
It worked last week. I'm not afraid to look like
a moron. All right, let's get well.
Speaker 1 (25:28):
All right, back, there s coffee.
Speaker 12 (25:30):
I'm fantastic bone by the way, in this polo button
on you're wearing tonight. Even Bernie bowls from beteen noticed
you were addressed for the.
Speaker 4 (25:37):
Well Matt mac and I have you know MC and
I are known as movers and jakers in the city.
Speaker 1 (25:42):
We've got things to do that for the show.
Speaker 3 (25:44):
Big Things, Big Things, Popping Baby, is Fitty hitting on
you in live radio right now?
Speaker 1 (25:49):
And no Seattle Sally kicked them to the.
Speaker 12 (25:50):
Curb, but really, no one hits on hang on, don't
you kick me to the curve?
Speaker 4 (25:54):
Fitty makes so many that Fitty hits on so many
of his male co workers it's almost uncomfortable.
Speaker 3 (25:59):
He's it's very not He is not afraid to give
a male coworker a compliment. He I was just put
it that way, and the compliments he gives to Kyle Bailey.
Speaker 1 (26:08):
I believe our HR violations. I do indeed believe that.
All right, me too.
Speaker 3 (26:13):
Situation there, let's get two more sounds from the talking
heads talking Panthers. This is a good one. This is
Kyle Brandt. Okay, we're not saying it. We're trying to
hold her straint, make the Panthers do more. Somebody says,
how about they win a game on the road before
you all say to pee work.
Speaker 1 (26:29):
So we're trying not to.
Speaker 3 (26:30):
Talk playoffs, but Kyle Bryant from NFL Network is talking playoffs.
Speaker 1 (26:34):
Bot.
Speaker 11 (26:35):
But I'm going to defy the content gods and look
at the two logos at the bottom.
Speaker 1 (26:38):
Of the screen. So I don't want to talk about Dallas.
Speaker 11 (26:40):
I want to talk about the Carolina Panthers.
Speaker 1 (26:42):
I don't care what that makes you think. The Carolina
Panthers won three out of four.
Speaker 11 (26:46):
Next week they have a buye against the Jets, so
they'll win four out of five.
Speaker 1 (26:50):
And so, guys, this was the team at the beginning of.
Speaker 11 (26:52):
The season where I'm like, I kind of have a
crush on the Panthers to maybe like rise up and
squeeze a wild card, and then I just didn't have
the stones to do it. And who the hell knows
what Carolina is capable of. They have this thing where
that kind of win that close at home under a
new head coach fires people off. Just just a team
to keep an eye on in a league that we
don't really know who is great. We know a few
(27:13):
teams are pretty good. There's gonna be some weird stuff
that happens in January. I think in terms of who's
in the wildcard round, there's gonna be crazy things that happen,
and I'm starting to think that Carolina might have their
eye on it.
Speaker 1 (27:24):
Let's getting weird, baby, get freaking weird.
Speaker 3 (27:29):
We didn't say it though, for those of you to
think we will, especially me, will jinx.
Speaker 1 (27:33):
Things at I say playoffs. That was Kyle Brand.
Speaker 4 (27:35):
NFL Network talks of that out there about now is
trying to get Mac to say the SB word. Also,
we definitely show you up by the day. Also tomorrow
we'll talk Dynasty with Mac.
Speaker 3 (27:47):
People are now Hollywood from Charlotte Fitty, she dumped you, bro. Damn,
I made that up, but it does sound like something
I literally told you.
Speaker 1 (27:55):
Not for air. I'm sorry.
Speaker 3 (27:57):
Not for air, I'm sorry, And what happened, I'm sorry.
Speaker 1 (28:02):
And I got to learn about boundaries. That is my bad.
Speaker 4 (28:04):
Speaking of boundaries, Bigfoot Bailey has texted in about Phitty's
comments toward his body. He makes me uncomfortable daily. I
do kind of love it's about say.
Speaker 12 (28:12):
He usually is like appreciates the things I say about
his but I have.
Speaker 1 (28:16):
To be honest.
Speaker 3 (28:17):
I don't get any physical compliments really these days. I
like when Fitty told me he liked my calves when
I wear shorts that one time.
Speaker 1 (28:24):
I kind of did like it.
Speaker 4 (28:25):
Middle of a meeting a month ago, he told me,
I don't have much of a tush middle of a
meeting with all the executives around, There's never been more
of a spot to get in trouble than what he's
saying right now.
Speaker 1 (28:37):
No one even acknowledge it. He just says it and
mos on.
Speaker 3 (28:39):
Oh God, Fitty, God, bless this man, Fitty and Fitty.
I'm sorry about that, Fiddy. I got carried away. This
is why I have to I have to reel it in.
I can't be talking about Phitty's personal life. I can't
be talking about the P word, bone playoff. I can't
be doing that stuff. All right, let's get the fairness
all mac Herd was on air. He didn't hear that.
Don't say it on the air. I didn't hear the dome.
I thought he had to say it on air. All right,
(29:01):
let's get to this one. I like this one because
Chris sim said a couple of nice things about us.
But let's go with this one instead. I'm a big
fan boae of JT. O. Sullivan's QB school videos. He
did a forty minute Bryce Young breakdown the other day.
It's really good stuff. And by the way, not only
was he complimentary of Bryce, I think he might have
been more complimentary of Dave Canalys's play designs and some
(29:22):
of the ways that guys were schemed open, specifically the
horn and dowdle deep balls back to back on that
touchdown drive to start the second half. We also did
a great job on the explanation of that routal of
that dowbtll touchdown, and that's O'Sullivan was very big on
that design too. So it was very complimentary stuff about
Canalis and the way the offense come together. Remember and
(29:44):
Olsen was like that before the game was even played.
Remember remember the way he raved about what he likes
what they're doing on offense.
Speaker 1 (29:49):
So that's some good stuff.
Speaker 3 (29:51):
But right now you're gonna hear, well, maybe I'll just
let JT say it instead instead of uh, you know,
uh bumble little about here.
Speaker 1 (29:57):
This is JT.
Speaker 3 (29:58):
O Sullivan at the end of his QB. It's talking
about Bryce and the offense.
Speaker 13 (30:02):
But from a Bryce Young perspective, I think it's really
really encouraging to see the continued evolution and improvement that
we're seeing from Bryce Young. I really also like this offense,
what they're asking him to do, how they're playing this now.
Speaker 1 (30:16):
Was it perfect?
Speaker 13 (30:16):
No, we had some pass pro issues in this thing.
We had a bunch of penalties down the field that
helped this offense as well. But there were a number
of plays, a number of really cool things that I
think Bryce Young does really well as far as the
pocket movement, the elusiveness, the different types of throws, anticipation
outside the numbers, layering down the field, vision, creative elements,
(30:38):
all those things you see overlaid with the design, the
under center play action, the cool combination of maybe some
shots and screens, different ways to get the ball to
different playmakers on the perimeter kind of like their playmakers
on the perimeter now. And then you combine that with
some clutch, big fourth downs, third downs, and all of
(30:59):
a sudden, all of a sudden, we're looking pretty good
on offense, trending in the right direction, all.
Speaker 1 (31:04):
Of a sudden, boat, all of a sudden.
Speaker 3 (31:07):
Baby.
Speaker 4 (31:07):
We talked, so we talked for so long about let's
see what this offense looks like when they have leads
or when they're in games, when the running game is going.
It's amazing Mac, how comfortable and much more instinct. The
offense walks with canals and play calling when it's not
Bryce dropping back fifty five times. Arizona now design stuff
(31:29):
because you're in the game, and that's different. But also
you have the run game at a very high level
right now. Hopefully it sustained some of that, but you
have the run game doing what it's doing. The defense
cannot just rear back and take off on Bryce. They
have to look out for the run game. It has
a big difference time. Listen.
Speaker 1 (31:46):
I fully admit.
Speaker 3 (31:47):
Bryce is not the quarterback, especially right now that you
want carrying the load. That's not how it's supposed to be.
I will readily admit that. But you get a run
game to compliment him. Start getting some of these pass
catchers back, you get an O line playing like this.
This is what I think Coach canalis envision for the offense.
You're starting to see a vision actually play out on
(32:08):
the field. It's a beautiful damn thing, it really is.
Speaker 1 (32:11):
Man.
Speaker 4 (32:12):
People pointing out Mac before we go to break here
the Panthers reached five hundred and Fiddy's uh womanless streak
is still alive.
Speaker 1 (32:21):
I don't even care. I care more about winning football games.
Speaker 3 (32:24):
Yeah, Panther, Fitty baby to heck with the ladies, Fanny,
it's part of football.
Speaker 4 (32:29):
Season, not being mean to Fitty out of techs finder, Right,
he's going through something, right.
Speaker 6 (32:34):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (32:35):
When we come back, speaking of Fiddy going through something.
Speaker 4 (32:37):
Hoodie says he's not going anywhere in the process will
work long term? Are we buying that? Sports Radio ninety
two seven WFNZ.
Speaker 14 (32:58):
From everything I've understood talking with coach, it's inside the building.
Speaker 1 (33:03):
The recruits are staying put.
Speaker 14 (33:04):
They're not going anywhere. You just heard Pete say he
was a two high school games last night. The vibe
and the energy and the buying in the building is
quite a contrast to the noise and the speculation and
some of the narratives on the outside. The end of
the day, Coach, it's really about, just like the NFL,
you build through the draft, you sprinkle in through free agency.
(33:25):
Problem is that you know he brought in all these
new players. It's not working out. He needs a few
draft classes, recruiting classes to get this team up and going.
Speaker 1 (33:34):
But I think the.
Speaker 14 (33:35):
Most important thing is is to understand that he is
completely bought into what's happening with this team and with
this program and him leaving or the idea answer that
I can't eat but answer that.
Speaker 1 (33:51):
And he has to be watching right now. That's literally
Bill Belichick calling Kirk kerk. He probably has something to say, Yeah,
he probably does.
Speaker 3 (34:02):
That was a very interesting moment on game day the
other day. And we will get to a very interesting
clip of Belichick's presser from yesterday, the first presser since
the ridiculous tsunami of reports of dysfunction and stuff going
on behind the scenes with North Carolina football. If you
did not see that clip, there, Herbstreet holds up his
(34:24):
phone bone to show McAfee who is calling him? Like
you know how you would like like it says the
name right of who's calling? You got him in your contacts.
It looks like he is holding it up and showing McAfee,
Look who's calling me right? It's dead hood father. Then
McAfee says what he said right there, which is Bill
(34:45):
Belichick is called. Do we really think Bill Belichick was
calling live on the air? Do we think do we
think McAfee was joking?
Speaker 4 (34:53):
I don't know. What's hard hard to tell, Mac. I mean,
I don't think anyone in his wife Mac would call
on behalf of a Bil Belichick. Right, It had to
be Belichick, right, It wouldn't be Jordan Hudson wouldn't be
calling for Belichick, would she?
Speaker 3 (35:05):
You think Jordan picked up the phone. You think she's
watching game day? Like, let me cut this off. At
the pass they getting ready to talk mad about my
man's and she says, oh, here it is right here,
herb Street on daddy's phone here, so let me call
him up.
Speaker 4 (35:17):
No matter who was calling, you can see them on
the air, So it's not a good idea anyway, if
you were actually calling. Also, do you really want to
call a guy who's sitting next to Pat McAfee who
can't wait to announce exactly what's going.
Speaker 1 (35:30):
We have a situation it's Belichick call like that might
not be the right spot for a phone call.
Speaker 3 (35:37):
It was somebody of note because Herbie did hold the
phone up to show McAfee. Saban, by the way, is
in the middle of them, oblivious to any of this.
Just has no question, just waiting for his chance to
defend his friend.
Speaker 1 (35:49):
That's all he was doing.
Speaker 3 (35:50):
Has wait for a chance to stand up for his
Buddy Fitny, do you what do you think was going
on there?
Speaker 1 (35:55):
Do you really.
Speaker 3 (35:55):
Think it was Belichick calling Bone put in a.
Speaker 1 (35:59):
Vote for Joe Ord on Belichick's phone?
Speaker 12 (36:01):
That's probably the concern, Like does she have Belichick locked
away in her chamber and she's calling it. I don't
know if it was Belichick, Maybe it was Lombardi. His
his body language, let it you believe he did not
want to answer the phone. I thought it was great
instincts by McAfee because that could have been great television, like,
especially if it was Bill Belichick.
Speaker 3 (36:22):
Yeah, you think you could see interesting and McAfee truly
wanted an answer.
Speaker 1 (36:25):
You're to see theater.
Speaker 4 (36:27):
You could see Lombardi on a PR campaign, like you
could really see that happening.
Speaker 3 (36:31):
By the way, McAfee, let's just say this because it
was a very very uh flattering segment for Bill Belichick.
They all got his back. Now it just over the top.
They all got his back. And McAfee, let's not forget
his ties to Lombo, his guy, Michael Lombardi. Don't forget
McAfee is also kind of biased, just like Saban is
(36:53):
towards Belichick.
Speaker 1 (36:54):
You when he.
Speaker 3 (36:54):
Started talking and McAfee talking is like it sounds like
he's defending his friend too.
Speaker 4 (36:58):
That's a good point on the because Lombardi was a
weekly guest on his radio, so all the time you
wonder if you're just tying it all together. Whombardi's number
pops up and he shows a guy that knows him well.
And that's why McAfee reacted the way they did.
Speaker 3 (37:11):
Very possible could have been pen It was very interesting
and I want to know the truth, but we will
not probably know the truth. We can't handle the truth.
Bill Belichick. Yesterday, Bone did a presser.
Speaker 4 (37:20):
He said, what if it was Belichick calling to get
photos of Peter Herbstraeng. I'd really like to see Peter
herbfree the dog you wear.
Speaker 3 (37:27):
His dog, his drafting dog is gonna have a playdate
with Herbie's dog, I think is what's gonna happen.
Speaker 1 (37:31):
And the poodle Houtte's poodle. Also.
Speaker 3 (37:33):
All right, let's get to this Bone, because this is
Bill Belichick himself. Yesterday is his first presser since all
the reports came out last week, and I want to
listen to this and I want to talk about what
we think is going on behind the scenes, because last week,
people had us wondering, is he really going to coach
the cow game. I think it's pretty obvious now he's
coaching the cow game. And I don't know, is it obvious.
(37:53):
He's got a lot of textas are saying it's pretty obvious.
He's gonna finish out the season and then there'll be
a decision made. Listen to what Belichick said. You'll hear
in the background Pat Welter from WRL, who had the
big behind the scenes report of of dysfunction last week.
You'll hear him jump in with a follow up question,
kind of challenge Belichick a little bit.
Speaker 1 (38:11):
Listen to this.
Speaker 15 (38:13):
Yeah, I mean I'm with all these people every day, coaches,
players on the field. Our guys work card, they have
a great attitude, great energy, and we've shown a lot
of improvement.
Speaker 1 (38:22):
You know, we've made a lot of improvement.
Speaker 15 (38:23):
I think that's exciting for all of us to see,
certainly for the individual players to see it, you know,
in the units that they worked with. So I don't
know what kind of perspective some of those people have
that are saying that, but I think anybody that's around
it on a daily basis, would you know would see that.
I'm sure the players all see the improvement that they're
making as this coaching stuff.
Speaker 16 (38:43):
Bill last game and twenty to three the first quarter
bearing on the half time basically you and see drawn
from printvill contentitude spetisically where people are scheming, people instill.
They are said, he's you're upset.
Speaker 5 (39:01):
Did you know that?
Speaker 16 (39:02):
Watching here starting next side to junior here, I think
you acknowledge. You're telling me the lead this process.
Speaker 15 (39:10):
Is working at one percent. Yeah, absolutely, Yeah, it's a
learning curve.
Speaker 5 (39:15):
We're all in it together.
Speaker 15 (39:16):
But we're making a lot of progress and and uh,
you know, the process will eventually produce the results that
want to produce like they have everywhere else I've been.
So I'm very confident in that players are working hard,
they're getting better, that we're going to continue to do
that and improve.
Speaker 1 (39:31):
I agree.
Speaker 4 (39:31):
I have so many follow up questions about this. First
of all, he said, we're improving, Uh, where are you improving?
Because you're saying, oh, yeah, we see it on a
daily basis, Okay, tell us where you're improving. Also one
hundred percent, you're making progress where we're we're not seeing
it in the games, So go ahead, and enlighten us
where you think that progress is being made because I
(39:53):
ain't seeing it.
Speaker 3 (39:54):
Yeah, no one's seeing it. It's hard to believe when
we see the team on Saturdays and they look like
they might be the worst Power five team power four
team in the country. If they're not, it's Oklahoma State
and they're the second worst. So yeah, it's just And
that was his theme throughout the whole thing. As we're
getting better. He talked about how much better they are
than they were in spring camp, and it's like, okay,
(40:15):
but how bad were you in spring camp? Because it
looks pretty bad now. I He talks about his process
and says, our process has worked everywhere I've been, but
it's like, I guess it was kind of working in Cleveland.
And I'll cut you the benefit of doubt that the
news of the moving of the team really seemed to
set things off their bony but like it worked when
(40:38):
you had Tom Brady.
Speaker 4 (40:40):
Like because it wasn't working in New England before Tom,
but he was struggling with whatside. You don't have Greg
Brady at quarterback right now, I mean Peter Brady or
Bobba Brady.
Speaker 1 (40:47):
Boby Braid can play better than this.
Speaker 3 (40:49):
So it's just like again, it's it's and then the
whole tone bone of the program is remember the Lombardi
letter to the donors and to the fans.
Speaker 1 (40:58):
You know, give us time.
Speaker 3 (40:59):
We're gonna really invest in high school recruits. Give us time.
McAfee when he was defending Lombo the other day. It's
a three or four year process, but it's not the
three or four year process world of college football with
the portal anymore. Things should be able to change. And
I keep going back to what the Stuart Mandel article said.
Speaker 1 (41:18):
I think it was due.
Speaker 3 (41:19):
And there's been so many articles it's all, you know,
going crazy in my head. But one of the articles
talked about how they overestimated how badly people in the
transfer portal would want to play for Bill Belichick, like
how much that would mean, and they got upset about
it bone according to the article I read again, I'm
not sure which one was. I think Stuart Mandel they
(41:40):
were upset. They're like, all you want is money, that's
all you care about. You don't want to play for
the greatest coach ever. And it's like, yeah, y'all are
out of touch. They came into this thing bone thinking
that Bill Belichick's name meant more than it did, and
they also thought his NFL experience meant more than it did.
This college game is wild and crazy. It's unlike the NFL,
(42:01):
and it's unlike college football's ever been.
Speaker 4 (42:02):
Right now, if this goes bad against Cal Friday night,
by the way, what a Friday night ten thirty enjoyment
that should be?
Speaker 1 (42:09):
Mac?
Speaker 4 (42:09):
Will the Saturday morning headline b Cal gone took him away?
Belichick fired at UNZ. Do you think you'll get Will
he get kiffined? Will they leave him on a tarmac?
Speaker 11 (42:19):
N baby?
Speaker 1 (42:20):
Can you just get me a fly to I'd like
to go to Nantucket at least. I kind of feel
like it will last the season. I think so too.
But if this can do you think Fitty, like, clearly
he's gonna.
Speaker 3 (42:32):
Coach Cal and all that stuff, speculation that he might not,
feels like it's not at that point. Do you think
he's definitely making it through the season. I just want
them to get a legitimate college coach. Well, he's proved
me wrong. He's got to definitely admit I was wrong. Fitty,

Speaker 1 (44:09):
We've gone back Mac.
