Speaker 1 (00:03):
Owen's Mack and Bow on your radio. If you listen
to my freeing Mat, Posh, Come on, Posh, listen to
my freem Ta Bone. What's up the fun? I can't
go to work without listening to Mac and Bone.
Speaker 2 (00:18):
Do a lot.
Speaker 3 (00:28):
Sports Radio ninety two to seven WFNZ Mac and Bone
with you. We will talk about those SEC matchups who
should have some college football confidence, and we will talk
most totally about all the local squads playing this weekend State,
Virginia Tech, South Carolina, Kentucky, Duke, Syracuse, Wake Forest, Georgia Tech.
Speaker 1 (00:46):
We'll get into all those games.
Speaker 3 (00:48):
So far, Bone, we have had tex from Clemson fans
from at least one of all these fan bases, Clemson, Charlotte,
North Carolina, all sarcastically commenting on the fact they have
a bye week and thank God because we can't lose.
Speaker 4 (01:01):
Yeah, there's a run on the same joke going on
right now. You all need a rest man.
Speaker 3 (01:06):
Were wondering if the Panthers think XAL needs a rest bone.
Every one of you fan base is just mentioned. Y'all
need a breather man. Watch some football games that don't
involve your team. On Saturday, we'll also update the Ryder
Cup as well, and are we gonna Panther up or not.
We're gonna get into it at eight twenty five here
on the Mac and Bone shown. We want your feedback
(01:29):
as well. Do you think the Panthers can make it
too in a row. Unfortunately, it would be a very
panther thing, Bone to get us excited, shut out, win,
and then lose the next game. It would be a
very Panther thing anyway. But let's bring in the man
Bone who has cult hero status right now in Charlotte
because many Panther fans are mentioning.
Speaker 1 (01:50):
Lee called it first. Last week.
Speaker 3 (01:52):
Lee called it the Panthers wrong team favorite. He said,
straight up, the Panthers beat the Falcons, and they went
out there and they did it. Bone, you and I
didn't even believe that our Panthers were going to beat
the Falcons last week. And Lee Sterling is with us
now to handicap games for US Collegen Pro and break
them down and give us this week's pick on the Panthers.
Lee of course, from Paramount Sports and Paramount sports dot Com.
Speaker 1 (02:15):
Hey Lee, what's going on? Man? How you doing?
Speaker 2 (02:17):
I'm good? You know, if the Panthers are smart. They
would have you on the field if they went a
home game afterwards. That dance, I think it was your best.
Speaker 3 (02:27):
Yet there saying you like that one. Were you not
offended by Fitty in nothing but a bikini top up top?
Speaker 2 (02:36):
No? No, I mean you know when you went thirty nothing,
I mean you gotta let it all go?
Speaker 4 (02:42):
Did you like the additions of the people seem to
like the the jackets and the victory horny? Oh?
Speaker 2 (02:48):
Yeah, I won't know where you got them from. Where'd
you get the jackets from?
Speaker 1 (02:51):
We got we know a guy? Okay, guy, you know
Guy Lee?
Speaker 4 (02:56):
You know guy in La.
Speaker 2 (02:58):
Did they show up in the Marshalls Max?
Speaker 1 (03:03):
We got the max for minimum.
Speaker 2 (03:04):
I know you guys aren't spending more than twelve bucks.
Speaker 4 (03:08):
They cost more. They don't cost all that much, but
they were more than twelve bucks.
Speaker 3 (03:12):
Yeah, that's price. You can't put a price on a
good luck jacket though, you really can't. All right, Lee,
Well let's do this. Let's get some picks for the games.
Let's see what you think about some of these games,
and we'll end it as always with the Panthers pick.
Speaker 1 (03:24):
And he's got a Game of the Week. He's got that.
Speaker 3 (03:25):
Michael Parsons Bowl Packers and Cowboys as his game of
the week. Let's start with Duke and Syracuse. Interesting game.
Syracuse off this big win against Clemson. They're at home
against Duke, but Syracuse has a backup quarterback in there,
and Duke is a five point favorite.
Speaker 1 (03:40):
What do you think?
Speaker 2 (03:42):
Well, Duke likes to throw the football and Syracuse can't
defend the pass. In fact, third to last out of
one hundred and I think it's now thirty four teens,
so they're only one hundred and thirty first. So horrible
match up here, Syracuse loss. They're starting quarterback for the year.
New starter Ricky Collins has attempted only twenty one passes
(04:05):
in three seasons. I love fran Brown. I think he
does a lot more with less. He seems to be ascending,
but I don't think he's going to be an Upstate
New York for long. Here Duke thirty seven to twenty seven.
Speaker 1 (04:18):
I don't want to tell a girl man, I love him,
but Lee, I'm feeling so away right now.
Speaker 4 (04:22):
Do you think he's also a good start? Lee, I'll
had the victory horn for him. That's a victory horns
right here. That's the saddest little horn. Now you need
a real horn, You need a Louis Armstrong horn. Lee,
what do you think of Georgia Bama in a massive
game in prime time tomorrow night? Georgia at home, favored
by three? What's the play here?
Speaker 2 (04:43):
So Georgia I don't think is near where they were
a couple of years ago. The point spreads will tell
you so. Since the first game of last year, they're
three twelve and one against the spread. Not good enough.
They did beat Tennessee, but I thought Tennessee was the
better team a couple weeks ago. There was just six
or seven plays in that game. Just one of them
(05:04):
goes Tennessee's way they win the game. So sometimes just
not your day. I think most people thought this line
was going to be three and a half four, But
I think people who wagering games are smart. The oddsmakers
set in these lines. I think they realized that maybe
it was an aberration that Alabama gave up two hundred
and thirty yards Tefeshu opening week. Running the football, I
(05:26):
do think that Alabama's trio receivers, which are I think
second best in the country, just behind Ohio State are
going to do some damage on this Georgia defense here.
And I think this Georgia defense that's allowing just two
point seven yards for Kerry, they're going to be tested
also because Jan Miller's coming back for Alabama favored and
(05:47):
an Alcola fantastic finish again Alabama twenty eight, twenty seven?
Speaker 1 (05:52):
About that? How about that? All right?
Speaker 3 (05:54):
Another big one in the SEC League, all Miss one
and a half point favorite at home against LA What
do you say?
Speaker 4 (06:02):
So?
Speaker 2 (06:02):
I think ole Miss's offense is really good, and you know,
sometimes what happens is you lose the key player and
find one maybe even better. I think Trinidad Chambliss right
now is better in the right answer instead of Austin Simmons.
So Austin Simmons h two games, he had two interceptions
in Sheach and Trinity Shamlis running the football and throwing
(06:23):
the football from FIRIS State is a winner. The only
thing is he's a senior, so no more eligibility after
this year. But the problem here for them is their
weakest link. I think ole Missus defense is the strongest
of the four units, but LSU's defense in and far behind,
and I think Yourttnsmeyer is going to have a big game.
(06:44):
This will be his breakout game against the weakest link here,
which is Ole Missus defense. And I don't trust line
Kiffin big games. He seems to try to really push
it here, and what he tries to do is sometimes
he falls behind by seven to ten points, he starts
going forward on fourth down. Could be a problem here.
I think class finally prevails LSU thirty four to twenty eight.
Speaker 4 (07:07):
Lee. Let's go over some NFL games here, a big
one in the NFC Eagles three and a half way
favorites at Tampa Bay. Tampa Bay's all kinds of banged
up right now. What side are you on here?
Speaker 2 (07:20):
Yeah? So Tampa Bay's won six of the last seven
games against Philly, which is shocking. They won last year
thirty three sixteen. This will be the fifth straight time
that they played that the game has been in Tampa
So sometimes the scheduling dynamics are just strange. And last
year's game when Tampa won thirty three sixteen, no DeVonta Smith,
(07:41):
no AJ Brown. Now you know the wheels have turned,
and no Mike Evans, no Chris Godwin. Yet this year
the offensive line really banged up defensive line not close
to one hundred percent, and Philly just might be one
of those teams like Kansas City for a while. I
think they're gonna have trouble winning the super Bowl again,
(08:03):
but they're finding ways to win, and championship teams do that.
And I just think Baker Mayfield. We've heard of quarterbacks
having three straight great come from behind wins, but usually
not four. I think he's going to run out of
magic here, Philly twenty eight, twenty.
Speaker 1 (08:19):
Idly, let's see you everybody's hero.
Speaker 3 (08:20):
Last week? You picked the Panthers as a dog outright.
They're a five and a half point dog at New England.
Speaker 1 (08:27):
What do you think?
Speaker 5 (08:30):
So?
Speaker 2 (08:31):
Carolina got the job done for me last week? Thirty
nothing home division win. I thought they'd win, but not
by that much. How did they do it? You know?
Touchdown drive on a short field after a miss field goal,
field goal, eleven yard interception, TD return field goal, touchdown
after interception in field goal. Only two hundred and twenty
(08:54):
four total yards on fifty five plays.
Speaker 1 (08:57):
Not great.
Speaker 2 (08:58):
The Patriots had their own issue and they're twenty one
to fourteen loss to Pittsburgh due to a large part
a wopping five turnovers. So even with all that misfortune,
Patriots were tied with three minutes to go in the game.
The Patriots have a top three rushing defense and a
(09:19):
weakness in their past defense, and the Panthers, I don't
know if they can exploit it here, Bryce Young sixty
percent completion percentage is decent enough, but just five point
three yards per attempt not going to get it done.
This will be Carolina's third road trip in an early
four weeks season span. They lost both road games so far.
(09:39):
Hate to say it, hate the hated, dreaded Patriots twenty seven.
Speaker 4 (09:44):
Oh Man, dang Lee's he can't lie to us, Man,
He's got to tell us. He's got to tell us
the truth, all right, Lee, Well, let's uh, let's you
can still help people win money, all right?
Speaker 3 (09:57):
They could still love you for that. You've got and
Cowboys as a game of the week, and then you've
got all your picks on the card this week?
Speaker 1 (10:06):
How does everybody get ahold of stuff from you?
Speaker 2 (10:08):
Great game? On Sunday night, we had a wedding. We
were invited to a wedding. Hadn't seen it. My first
cousin Salt Lake City, in probably eight ten years since
my wife saw the invitation and she saw the schedule
games that I had on my pad next to the TV.
She's like, I'll send a nice gift, and I'm like,
thank you, you got some memo. So the three thirty window,
(10:31):
seven thirty window on Saturday, and then I mean other
than the Panthers game Philly Tampa, Baltimore, Casey and then
this game Packers Cowboys is insane. So you want to
get Packers Cowboys for free? Called eight hundred, four hundred
nine seven four to one. In fact, I'm in such
a good mood, I'm going to give you South Carolina
(10:52):
in Kentucky. I'm calling it the future fired coaches Bawl.
Whoever lookes this game, oh it could be done, could
be done.
Speaker 1 (11:02):
What what do you mean?
Speaker 2 (11:03):
What beaver?
Speaker 1 (11:05):
Do you think Shane Baber's getting fired?
Speaker 2 (11:08):
Look look at the rest of his schedule unless you Oklahoma, Alabama,
Ole miss In Texas, A and M They were right
number eleven two weeks ago. The expectations off the roof,
So that big a game for him. Can South Carolina
rebound or this Kentucky pull the upset? I'm gonna give
(11:28):
you both games on me called eight hundred four hundred
nine seven four one first get this uh first five
callers get it for free eight hundred four hundred nine
seven for one. All the specials up and available. Just
use COUPONKO save one hundred. We are on a six
and oh roll since Sunday in the NFL. Just one
(11:48):
place Paramount sports dot com. You go.
Speaker 4 (11:50):
Don't be arguing, Lee, he's working here. They'll be arguing
when I'm calling. I'm calling right now. Let's leave a
message for you, Lee, You the man, good luck this week.
Speaker 2 (11:57):
Know where he's going. Yeah, you know where he's going
if he's about to get fired.
Speaker 4 (12:03):
Oh, just made bone even more upone.
Speaker 5 (12:09):
Alright, Lee, we appreciate you man, Lee doing picks and
then coming up in Beamer's kitchen, bony right having Lee,
I gotta tell you seven twenty five, Ala, he doesn't
knack that way.
Speaker 1 (12:20):
Like you think. You think he's different than eight o'clock.
I don't eight o'clock a savage.
Speaker 3 (12:25):
Am I wrong to say Beamer can go like three
and nine, they wouldn't fire him.
Speaker 1 (12:29):
Am I wrong to say that?
Speaker 4 (12:30):
Mac?
Speaker 1 (12:30):
I'm looking at that.
Speaker 4 (12:31):
You know he's got a year in that way he's
got more rope than that, right he does. I'm not
looking at Mac the rest of the schedule. I'm one
game at a time, man, I'm looking at Kentucky right now.
I'm not worrying about the rest of the game. I
respect that because if they lose the Kentucky there's a
major problem.
Speaker 3 (12:44):
Anyway, I respect that approach. Walk him down, says Beamer
ain't going anywhere this Texas says, Beams all over it.
My hoke, he's stealing Beam, Uh, stealing little Beamer.
Speaker 1 (12:57):
Mac. Do you think you say that the bone that
triggers bone? Mac?
Speaker 4 (13:00):
Do you think there's more of a chance of Beamer
being gone before next season or Dabo Beamer gone to
Virginia TI. I'm not talking about firing Dabos like stepping away. No,
Dabo's not leaving this dude digs in. This dude digs
in and fights.
Speaker 1 (13:15):
Man. He doesn't think he's doing anything wrong.
Speaker 3 (13:17):
He thinks if he just keeps doing it his way,
eventually we don't get it right back to the way
we used to do it. A little o clam soon right, yes,
like he just a Beamer clems. I think Beemer Virginia
Tech has a better chance than Dabbo leaving.
Speaker 4 (13:29):
Do you agree with that or no? Because you don't
like this Virginia tech stuff. This all gets you at you.
You want it bad, you need it, you crave it.
Speaker 1 (13:36):
No, No, I just like messing with you.
Speaker 3 (13:38):
I'd rather have him at South Carolina because we've got
more like he's I still think he's good for the
program at South Caro.
Speaker 4 (13:44):
I don't think Beamer. I don't think in trouble this year.
But I like, would he leave? That's what I'm you know,
I don't agree with I don't think so what's he
doing with his leaving?
Speaker 1 (13:52):
I love fireing. He's crazy If.
Speaker 4 (13:53):
He's gonna get fired in South Carolina because you can't
beat these teams were gonna give a ton of money.
Speaker 1 (13:58):
You still got some stuff, Okay, sounds like it. I
can't tell who it was.
Speaker 4 (14:02):
I just saw someone in some tall grass at the
Ryder Cup and a bunch of fans trying to find
the golf ball. All were in Zubas bands. They got,
you got USA Zoo bats. They got Usa Zoo bats
about that. I don't know who it was, but they're
all are all circled the golfer.
Speaker 1 (14:16):
I like that.
Speaker 4 (14:16):
I respect the USA Zubaz apparel. By the way, So
Rory hit a putt, what did that? Do they win
the hole or just tied up? The scoreboard is really small, man,
It's the smallest scoreboard. I told you, man, and I
can't see what it is.
Speaker 1 (14:29):
Right now.
Speaker 3 (14:29):
We'll get you an update on the Ryder Cup. I
know Showfley missed a putt on one that would have
gave them the win on the first hole. Last check,
Euros had leads in two. We had leads in one.
The other one that just started was all square. So
let me ask you this, because we only have a
limited amount of time Bone to do the whole SEC conversation.
Multiple people say Mike schul is the one that will
be fired. I mean that's very possible. That is more
(14:52):
like it. That would be the first step. All right,
I'll just ask you it this way. A bunch of
SEC games Bone that I think are bigs. We'll talk
about South Carolina Kentucky during our local college football confidence
segment at A forty five. But between Georgia, Alabama, LSU,
all miss Auburn, Texas A and M and Tennessee Mississippi State,
(15:14):
Who's your number one fan base that should feel.
Speaker 1 (15:16):
The most confident.
Speaker 4 (15:18):
Do you think number one fan base that should feel
the most confident? Those are all though I say Texas
A and M out of that group, I think Texas
A and M was better than Auburn.
Speaker 1 (15:28):
I'm not thinking twice about that one. Texas A and
M should feel good about this game. This is roughs.
Speaker 4 (15:33):
You talk about rough schedules, and I didn't say Timbo
having to go to Oklahoma and A and M back
to back week saying fun. And I'm not saying that
that Tennessee is not better on paper the Mississippi State,
but I that to me could be one of those
ones we talk about as I can't believe that that
game happened.
Speaker 3 (15:48):
I'm all about the falls. I'm all about the falls, valls,
fans bones. Trying to put cast some doubt here, but
I think this team is the real deal. They impressed
me so much in the way they played Georgia. Joey Aguilar,
I know you had two turnovers, but my god, he
made plays downfield. I'm telling you, who the hell is
going to cover brazzle for Mississippi State. I mean that
dude is a baller, that deep ball. There ain't no
(16:10):
fifty to fifty deep balls for him. It's like ninety
nine to one balls to him. I could be wrong.
I'm not disrespecting what Levy Mississippi State are doing. They
have an upset win over Arizona State at their house.
I just think this Tennessee team is legit bony, so
I'm gonna take them. I also a miss Cowbells though,
Man that I can really get in your head.
Speaker 4 (16:31):
That's annoying. I'll be ring a dingo ngen down there.
That bothers me on the couch. I can only imagine
trying to play quarterback and coaching that crap. I'm big
on Georgia and Ole Miss this week too. I'm big
on this Georgia team. I think they're a class of
the SEC. I know Ty Simpson's playing really well boned,
but I don't think Alabama in the trenches is what
they used to be. Like Lee was talking about, they'll
run better because jam Miller's coming back, not if the
(16:52):
line doesn't block better. And I think Georgia they're giving
up less than three yards of cary. I think gegiare
gonna stuff the Alabama run, and then I think they
can get at after. You know Simpson, I will.
Speaker 3 (17:03):
Say this, I'm not gonna act like Simpson won't make
plays to those receivers Bernard and Williams because we saw
Tennessee do it against Georgia's secondary. And then I like
Old Miss too. I think Old Miss is winning this
LSU team. Bone you look at their wins against Florida
and Clemson. They don't quite look as good as they
did when they you know what I mean. It doesn't
quite look like the wins maybe we thought they would
be if we told you before of the season. They
beat Clemson and they beat Florida, and I think this
(17:25):
Trinja Dad Chambliss kid in lang Kiffin system has something
and that place is going to be going crazy on
Saturday night.
Speaker 4 (17:32):
Mane, I have good news and bad news. What's the
good news is I agree with you. The bad news
is for those fans that I agree with you on that.
Speaker 1 (17:38):
Time, right, baby? That's what have we been wrong before? Georgia.
Speaker 4 (17:42):
Georgia takes out Bama, and I like Old Miss over LSA.
What when have we been one of all the reasons
you presented, Georgia wouldn't shock me if they beat Bamba
by double digits tomorrow night Woo Kirby Smart one and
six against Baby. This has been his bogey team. They
all sign this has been a team can't beat. They
also have gotten annoyed national titles. They've been annoyed the
(18:03):
last couple of years about their lack of primetime home games.
Also that that joint is gonna be jumping down. They're
gonna be fired up. So many good SEC games. Man,
we'll talk about all the local games State South Carolina
Wake will give you c you some love for their
win that's coming up later when we come back. Do
we panther up? Will the Carolina Panthers make it? Check
my notes. Two wins in a row. Sports Radio n
(18:25):
w FNZ.
Speaker 6 (18:39):
Farreell Time Memory who, you'll stop clocking your head and
the shot clock just you just know what?
Speaker 7 (18:45):
What is your favorite all time memories?
Speaker 6 (18:48):
Farreell time Memory Who? That's a that's a good question.
I went to the Super Bowl, uh when when they
lost to Peyton Manning and then that was tough. But yeah,
just that season and I think there was fifteen to one.
I was at that NC Championship game at home, you know,
big time win and just just the being a fan
(19:09):
of Cam. I think it was probably the biggest memory
of him coming out here and doing the airplane and
you know, hitting the CAM. So just a little things
like that, and getting to know him later on and
playing him he coaches seven on seventeen and playing him
and playing against him and seeing stuff like that. So
just getting to know some of the players around hass
been pretty cool.
Speaker 3 (19:28):
Drake May we love hearing that local kid grew up
loving the Panthers is all about that twenty fifteen team
as a thirteen year old.
Speaker 2 (19:38):
Bony.
Speaker 4 (19:38):
Yeah, but Drake Man, you ain't our friend this week, baby,
all right?
Speaker 1 (19:41):
And you know what, he doesn't want to be.
Speaker 4 (19:43):
He doesn't want to be And I feel like you
were taking a shot at JJ Jansen. I feel like
he found a nice way to call JJ old this week, Bony,
and we have the team rallies around him. Put that
on the bulletin board there. Nobody calls him old, although
the entire roster has at some point into coaching staff
and us. Well, you know what, if you're from the
OUTSI I now drink you don't do that. We don't
want you saying that kind of stuff. The lonely guy
(20:03):
their still as a log snapper. Oh he's old.
Speaker 1 (20:05):
We get to what he's still playing, and he's got feelings.
Speaker 3 (20:07):
All right, it's time to do this, Bone man, it
is time to make the decision. Do we panther up?
Do we not panther up? The superstitious guy in me says,
I should probably pick against the Panthers because last week
I picked against the Panthers and they won. But I
try to beat genuine like, do I honestly think they're
gonna win the game?
Speaker 1 (20:27):
Last week? I was a dummy. I didn't.
Speaker 3 (20:28):
I was scared of that blitz and that blitz did nothing,
old blitz. This game is so winnable, Bone, this game
is so winnable. I mean you look at the Patriots
had needed a late touchdown to beat Miami. As bad
as they are, they're owing to at home already. They
lost to the Raiders at home, had five turnovers last week. Uh,
(20:50):
this is a team, Bone, who does get Gonzales back,
But there's a bunch of coverage guys that will still
have to cover Panther players, those linebackers, the other corners
that have been struggling. Something fears this The team has
been committing penalties. This team has been turning the football
over bone. Their running game is so so, this game
is so winnable.
Speaker 1 (21:10):
What are you thinking about this one? Bone? I was
a little.
Speaker 4 (21:13):
Nervous when the day started, and then the more I
thought about it, the more we talked through it, the
more I went at the Patriots roster. I don't have
really much fear of anything that they do. Yeah, the
run defense is really good, but I don't have a
fear of the Patriots. I think the Panthers make it
back to back victories. I'm panthering up, man, Now you go,
Bony panthering up, baby, I'm gonna go. I'm gonna go.
(21:37):
Not a pretty win. I think there's gonna be mistakes
abound on both sides. I think there's gonna be some penalties,
some turnovers. I need the Patriots Mack trying to muck
it up a little bit at times in the Vray
Bowl mindset. I think the Panthers win twenty one to
sixteen sixteen. I could see that kind of range of scoring.
(21:58):
I think it could be. This is not gonna be
a game. I don't think either team's hitting the deep
twenties in this game. Do you what are you gonna
knowing gets mad when you picked the Panthers bone but
you were with me last week? Or because my nickname
with many is the trusted source? What's my nickname? Oh,
don't tell me. Actually I don't want to know. I
(22:18):
know the answer to that question.
Speaker 1 (22:20):
Not safe for air. Mac wants a nickname.
Speaker 3 (22:24):
The thing is, I could see either way, like this
is really a fitty and I were talking about this
during one of the breaks, like if they lose this game,
it feels like, oh, typical Panthers, right, Like they could
not follow up. They couldn't deal with their prosperity of
the one big win. They couldn't follow it up. Like
I mentioned that the season two years ago when or
(22:47):
no last year when we won Week three with Dalton
and then made it one to two and then proceeded
to lose the next five, Like they have a chance,
And I guess you could put it in your words,
they have a chance this week, Fitty, maybe to prove
that maybe things are different, Maybe we have taken a
step because the old Panthers would probably regress immediately and
lose this game.
Speaker 1 (23:07):
What do you think about this?
Speaker 2 (23:08):
Man?
Speaker 7 (23:08):
And we had a caller back on Monday who said
that he thought this was the most important game of
Bryce Shunk's career.
Speaker 4 (23:14):
Bone, you got something you want to say? No, I
was I was signaling the MAC about the show. Keep talking, okay,
all right.
Speaker 7 (23:19):
So we had a caller on Monday say he thought
this was the biggest game of Bryce Shunk's career. And
at the moment that sounded hyperbolic. But as this week
moved along, and as I spent some time during my
vacation thinking about the Panthers, I thought that guy was
right as someone that believes that this team could win
ten games, and Dave Canalis says, we're trying to become us.
Speaker 1 (23:39):
Oh you stuck with that? Yeah, I'm say I ever
left the ten win whack? Yeah, God bless you.
Speaker 7 (23:43):
This is the game I think if if they're going
to become that, if they're going to turn the corner
as a franchise, this is that game. Because there's a
big difference, smack between coming back next week at two
and two as opposed to coming back to the bank
at one in three. This one's gonna hurt my soul
because I love Dre may Now as much as Flounder
I'm not buying his jersey and wearing it during a
Panther game league, But I think Drake May makes one
(24:06):
or two costly mistakes that Bryce Young does not make
Panthers win on the road.
Speaker 3 (24:14):
So we got two panthering up. We've got the text
line continuing to beg me not to panther up.
Speaker 4 (24:19):
That's what I was pointing at every single tax they
had to be twenty in a row, said don't do
it back, don't do it back, don't do it it would.
Speaker 3 (24:27):
I want to be involved in the fun too, like
I want. Plus what if I think what about that?
I think they're gonna.
Speaker 1 (24:32):
Win that lie?
Speaker 3 (24:34):
Hold that back? Oh man, I'm trying. Okay, So here's
the deal. Everybody wants me to pick against the Panthers. Well, like,
why would I pick new? Like you bring up a
good point, Drake May is throwing two interceptions, he's fumbled twice. Now, Bryce,
I think the way that they that we would lose
because again, let's not act no matter how how good
(24:54):
you feel about this game, let's not act like the Panthers.
We have known bone in the temper era couldn't go
up there and all of a sudden turn it over.
Speaker 1 (25:03):
I think that would be the way we would lose.
Speaker 3 (25:05):
It is if they would be the turnover Panthers that
they were the first five quarters of a season. But
the Panthers have not turned the football over the last
seven quarters. Ooh, so is this are they now going?
Is this a trend? Are they now going to take
better care of the football? What else could cause us
to lose? Patriots pass rush, Patriots run defense? Right so
the Patriot I'm not is this happening.
Speaker 4 (25:26):
I'm actually trying to find reasons in my mind to
convince myself we're going to lose just to appease the
Panther fans.
Speaker 1 (25:31):
I feel like I'm doing that.
Speaker 4 (25:32):
I feel like you're having a you're debating yourself right.
Speaker 1 (25:35):
Now because I don't want to make y'all mad. What's
know when you want to make you mad?
Speaker 4 (25:40):
But I already supposed to listen to this debate going on,
or I'm supposed to just step away from it.
Speaker 1 (25:43):
This is private. I'm like J. C. Horne, I didn't
know y'all were hearing this stuff.
Speaker 3 (25:48):
Let's see, their run defense is really good in New
England right second in the league. I have a feeling
it'll be a game that we might struggle to get
the run game going in. Do they get us in
second and third and long and tea off, Harold, don't
call me Howard Landry Bone that's been going off this year.
Three and a half sacks, eleven pressures Milton Williams. Do
they get Milton Williams isolated on Zavalla a little bit?
(26:11):
And then maybe that pressure forces turnovers. I'm thinking that's
the way we'd lose. I'm really not afraid of New
England's offense. Their pass catchers are very pedestrian. I realize
outside of t Mac, ours are too, but we've at
least got t MAC. Although I do worry a little
bit about Gonzales, you know now it sounds like he's
gonna play going against t MAC.
Speaker 1 (26:29):
But I'm just not afraid of their offense. Bone.
Speaker 3 (26:31):
I think I think their running game is mid as
the kids would say if they still say that, And
I think Drake doesn't have a lot of weapons. Drake
also throws the ball short a ton, and I think
if we tackle like we did last week on short passes,
I think we can be in business.
Speaker 1 (26:47):
I mean, so say it like course, this is like
lea corse. They'll getting ready for a head guilty. Should
I do?
Speaker 3 (26:54):
Should I do what McAfee did last week to announce
my pick Bony jump in the neighborhood poll?
Speaker 1 (26:58):
Should I get in a speed up?
Speaker 3 (27:00):
Or do you are y'all not interested in that? You
already had fitty and bikini top? Could you hit on
me in a speedo?
Speaker 1 (27:04):
For days one?
Speaker 4 (27:05):
They suggest? Is there a thing as Panthers speedos for fitting?
I have no I have not googled that yet. Can
you look next time you're shopping b can you look
into that extra large bom?
Speaker 1 (27:16):
My god, that's the case this Texas says Mac. You
pick what you want. You have no bearing on the game.
Speaker 4 (27:24):
Thank you, sir, because a rational mind realizes bone, I
have no bearing on a game. Right, there's no such
things matc curs. Don't you guys? Agreat now.
Speaker 2 (27:35):
Right?
Speaker 4 (27:35):
I'll make your damn pick. All right, here's what I'm doing.
I'm sorry, y'all. This team is different. This team is
not the same old panthersthers our win to to in
a row, and the cursty damned curse ain't stopping these
boys bone the Panthers.
Speaker 3 (27:55):
I think Bryce Young is going to have a big
day against that bad pass defense, and I think the
Panthers defense is going to eat for the second straight day.
Speaker 4 (28:03):
I really do. I think we force turnovers as opposed
to committing them. I'm not totally sure about that, but
that's my lean. So I say the Panthers win Bone
twenty three to seventeen, almost picture exact score. Here's so
many texts that are coming through. Oh no, damn it,
damn it. I'm not mentioning it now, damn it, damn it.
(28:24):
Oh no, We're getting the same over and over again.
I can't lie to y'all. Man, we got we got
a long relationship. I want to be honest to y'all.
There goes me watching the game, says a text to
walk them down. Oh no, this is bad, this is bad.
They're all just repeating each other back. How the feel
Mack to not be wanted to this one? What's the
Panthers record when I pick them?
Speaker 7 (28:44):
Bone?
Speaker 1 (28:44):
You think about that? That good?
Speaker 2 (28:45):
Right?
Speaker 1 (28:46):
Aren't they good when I pick them? No? I can't
calculate that level of bad.
Speaker 3 (28:52):
Oh man, I just don't think the Patriots are balloting us.
Speaker 4 (28:55):
I mean, I could see it happen if we beat ourselves.
I don't think the Patriots are very good. Barely rallied
to beat the Dolphins, for God's sakes, lost in the
Raiders at home, and if you whisted all the time,
you know, once that victory door got cracked, though, But
we were gonna bust right through this thing.
Speaker 3 (29:08):
Yeah, they seem shocked by it. The only thing I
thought of doing is a disingenuous Patriots pick. But like
you've said before, you think the sports gods know when
I'm doing that?
Speaker 1 (29:19):
Yeah?
Speaker 4 (29:19):
They know, right, So you think you think sports gods
are on to me when I try to that hijakes. Look,
I'm just I'm just glad you made a pick, because
therefore I wasn't sure if you were going to make one.
At one point you were going on for so long.
They played three holes in the Ryder Cup.
Speaker 3 (29:33):
Oh my god. Anyway, I'll tell you I ain't picking.
It's Penn State. I'm scared to death about my Niitney Lions.
By the way, Ryder Cup, I said nothing there. I'm
not cursing the US.
Speaker 4 (29:43):
So it's it's two to two essentially right now in
progress on the front nine in the Ryder cup, Bryson
and JT are still one up.
Speaker 1 (29:51):
Bony can't lay and who the hell's he with? Can't wait?
Speaker 3 (29:58):
They're one up in their group. But we are losing.
Scheffler and Henley Russell Henley, this is when I interrupted
your live. Yeah, Henley missed. It had to be a
three or four foot putt.
Speaker 4 (30:07):
It was half the whole three up right now for
Oberg and Fitzpatrick.
Speaker 1 (30:10):
Oh my god.
Speaker 4 (30:11):
So Scotty is Scotty Scheffler's groups getting house and so
is Markowa? English are down or down by two?
Speaker 1 (30:16):
Okay?
Speaker 3 (30:18):
So our leads are only one up in both one
up and one up yup, and their leads are two
and three up.
Speaker 4 (30:23):
That's not great. Great man, it's not great. Bob Jeffler
getting house like that is not cut?
Speaker 1 (30:28):
So is he playing bad? Or Russell Henley just gagging
like he did on that one? The way you screamed?
But I think it was who's whose balls? This over here? Behind?
Speaker 3 (30:35):
Uh?
Speaker 1 (30:35):
Somebody behind a root? Yeah, you don't want to hit
that root with a damn club. That'll hurts you man.
All right? Anyway, why are y'all laughing?
Speaker 4 (30:43):
I've hit my ball's been over there by trees, and
I've hit the root before. Now go to we now
go to our root expert, Christmas, who's been behind many roots.
Speaker 3 (30:50):
Man bove people, So man, let me pick the Panthers.
Come on, y'all, don't y'all probably picked the thing. The
Panthers are winning, right, So why I got to be one?
To be I have to be negative. This is a
big test though old temper Panthers, same old Panthers would
probably lose this. I feel like it's a sign things
are changing. If you get this win bone and get
(31:11):
to two and two coming back home next week against Miami,
winnable games Miami in Dallas, that crowd is gonna be
you know what.
Speaker 4 (31:17):
Zach Robins won't be sleepy, damnit Zachy. That crowd be
awake next week, Broski, this could be the difference in
two and two or three and one. Perhaps in this stretch.
I think I had New England in the Jets as
road games as potential walls that if they go to
and too, I think they'll beat Miami in Dallas at home.
If they get in New England, there's a chance a
(31:38):
three and one or beyond in this Oh yeah, didn't
we both say, we'll probably loose to New England earlier
in the week.
Speaker 1 (31:42):
Yeah, I mean that was yesterday.
Speaker 3 (31:44):
What happened? I crunched the numbers, bone, I crunched the
dang numbers. All right, Fitty, what do you.
Speaker 1 (31:48):
Got over there? An update? I got a flash? Oh,
let's do it. No, you already did that during the day.
I think it was. I think was behind the roof.
He is, man, he's still got to hit. They're not
getting me relief either on that.
Speaker 2 (32:02):
Long.
Speaker 4 (32:02):
I want this dude to hit the root and hurt himself.
Is that I'm just probably wrong? Geez, that's just for America.
I'm sorry, patriotism anyway, go ahead, fit.
Speaker 1 (32:11):
City.
Speaker 7 (32:22):
This sports report is brought to you by Bet three
six five. When it comes to sportsbooks, Bet three sixty
five has it all. Download the app today and see
you watch never ordinary of Bet three six five. Turn
our attention back to last night MAC A big win
for ECU at home over Army twenty eight to six.
They're now three and two going into the first by
(32:43):
a week of the season and they win their AAC opener.
And then on Thursday Night football in the NFL, the
Seahawks win a thrilling win over the Cardinals twenty three
to twenty. Sam darnoldde a game winning field goal drive
as time expired at Seattle is now three one on
the twenty twenty five campaign, you weren't listening, Oh you gave.
Speaker 4 (33:06):
The football results. I was watching a ryder I.
Speaker 1 (33:08):
Was I was watching right.
Speaker 3 (33:11):
This is a real sport to watch in the mornings
on the show, Unlike that dang tennis crap you here
for us.
Speaker 7 (33:19):
I'm taking no shots at soccer nothing, and you're going
after cod too.
Speaker 4 (33:23):
It's a beautiful game. It's the world's game. How could
you you see that Seattle Arizona game? While side I
was talking about the end there. When we come back
here on the Mack and Bone Show, we're going to
do a wocal college football confidence check in. Who's feeling good,
who's worried about their matchups? This weekend Sports Radio ninety
two seven, WFNZ.
Speaker 3 (34:02):
Sports Radio ninety two seven, w fn Z, Mack and
Bone with you. This Ryder Cup thing's got me tense, Bone.
I want to beat the Euros so dang badly.
Speaker 5 (34:13):
Uh.
Speaker 3 (34:13):
And right now the Euros are two up in two
of the four matches. Rory just hit a Birdie Putt.
So in the one with him in Fleetwood, they've gone
two up on Moric Cowa and Harris English. They're also
three up over us in the one where Scheffler and
Henley are the American team.
Speaker 1 (34:33):
Who's on that one bone Alberg and.
Speaker 4 (34:35):
It's Patrick Fitzpatrick who struggled the last Ryder Cup. So
that was an interesting pairing there. Get him on that screen.
I can't see this stupid thing, arepa?
Speaker 1 (34:44):
What's it to say?
Speaker 3 (34:44):
We're now all square in the Deshamba and Thomas lost
their lead, right, they're all they're no, no, they're not
hold on there tied and then we only lead one
Shoftley and can't lay I want to lead in theirs.
Speaker 4 (35:02):
We're going three up on the other two. Okay, yeah,
so you are. So it's a little dicey bone. We
were asking you questions during the break and you were
you were just I believe this is this what your
family deals with.
Speaker 1 (35:12):
Let's me ignoring them watching sports.
Speaker 4 (35:14):
Yes, sadly, were probably buildings on fire and Pete and
you're like, come on, come on, oh man, all right,
let's do a little college football confidence.
Speaker 3 (35:25):
Let's focus on the local teams. We talked about the
big SEC matchups, Let's talk about games like South Carolina.
I feel like there's a lot of winnable games for
local teams. Right South Carolina Kentucky. It's a chance to
bounce back for the game Cocks. You've got same frenzy
State against the Hokies. It's a chance to bounce back.
That game is in Raleigh, so there's not a Metallica
(35:45):
factor there in that game. Bone, You've got Duke against Syracuse.
It's a winnable game for Duke. Although I respect the
heck out of fran Brown, I did not respect him
and the Orange enough last week. But Duke's plan or
Syracuse playing Ricky Collins, their backup quarterback, and then I
would throw in Bone Wake as well. Wake playing this
week against Georgia Tech. That's a real tough spot. And
(36:08):
then I would like to congratulate Charlotte, Clemson and UNC.
You guys will not lose this week market down. I
guarantee you well. And Clemson, what was.
Speaker 1 (36:19):
Tang Bowe a week out already five? I think that
that's gonna get ugly up.
Speaker 4 (36:23):
Oh think I think Clempson is going to take out
a lot of frustrations on the target team that's gonna
be overmatched next What do you that's not about next week?
Speaker 3 (36:30):
What do you think Boney South Carolina against Kentucky? Do
you feel good about it?
Speaker 1 (36:34):
Yeah? I feel good.
Speaker 4 (36:34):
You've got some confidence. Yeah, because they have to have
this one. Kentucky, you know, one of the worst teams
in the conference. It's a rivalry between the coaches, at
least with that schedule coming up, Matt, they better win
this football game, you know, because they already have to
upset some teams along the way of a high ranking
to maybe end up trying to be who we thought
(36:55):
trying to be who we thought they were Number eleven
may not happen, but they got to pull some upsets
here to even get to a pretty good bowl game.
I think they better be Kentucky. I don't think Shane
Beemer is in any trouble whatsoever. Can Mike, but you
lose to Kentucky and all of a sudden that narrative
completely shill you better be Kentucky.
Speaker 3 (37:11):
Can Mike Shula unleash Leonora Sellers on the ground? Can
we get some design runs like this year you need,
Like you're saying, this is one with all those ranked opponents.
If you don't get this one like you are, you
are begging for a horrendous football season. And Mike Shula,
the heat's got it. You got to feel a heat
on that fan. That fan, he gotta be melting a
little bit, unleashed sellers. Man, get him going on design runs.
(37:34):
Let's run some zone read. Let's get him running some
QB power stuff, QB sweeps and stuff like that. Listen,
Kentucky played pretty well.
Speaker 1 (37:42):
I thought.
Speaker 3 (37:43):
I thought they competed pretty well against Ole Miss, and
that that's the one time I watched him this year.
Ole Miss ended up winning by ten, But I thought
Kentucky put up a decent fight. So I'm certainly not
the way South Carolina's playing is thinking it's a blowout.
But I just I'd like to think bone Shane Biemer's
good enough cut coach, and the game Cocks have enough talent.
Dylan Stewart, can he take over? I know teams are
(38:04):
doubling him a lot, but can he take over? Fred
Johnson's a guy like on that defense. Can that defense
show up and play more like they did against Virginia Tech.
Speaker 1 (38:14):
South Carolina's got to win this game. Bone.
Speaker 4 (38:15):
I know, I know you probably don't want me to
pick them, but South Carolina fans, you got to get
this one right.
Speaker 1 (38:20):
We haven't.
Speaker 4 (38:21):
We forgot in all the hubbub of the Panthers stuff
earlier in the week, we forgot to talk about what's
going on with Dylan Stewart lately?
Speaker 1 (38:27):
Back have we?
Speaker 4 (38:28):
He got kicked out of the previous game against Vanderbilt,
he threw a Missouri player down the other day where
it could have been a major penalty, and then after
the game he went off the field by himself without
his teammates. They do an alma mater thing after the game,
and Eld Shane Biember had to run down the tunnel
and say, we we stick with our teammates after the game.
So I don't know what's going on there lately with him,
(38:49):
but it feels like there's there's some attitude going on
there Dylan Stewart.
Speaker 3 (38:53):
They got to get him to channel that stuff in
the right direction. Man that that hopefully that'll happen. Hopefully,
get after Zach Calzono, who is playing for his forty
seventh college football team at Kentucky.
Speaker 4 (39:03):
You might order a few calzadas tomorrow. From my localeeria house.
Speaker 3 (39:06):
I like that fans have to be confident, right they're
playing Virginia Tech. I'm trying to respect my man Kyle
Bailey and the other hockey fans.
Speaker 4 (39:15):
Out there, y'all Kyle Bailey here in Raleigh.
Speaker 3 (39:19):
All right, the drumming of Lars and the singing of
James Hetfield cannot help Virginia Tech in this game. I
would have to think, bony that Bailey and Smothers and
those boys are going to move the ball up and
down the field. The only thing I would worry about
is if they turn the ball over like they did
last week.
Speaker 1 (39:38):
But I think they have to move this.
Speaker 4 (39:40):
Thing up and down the field against Virginia It's a
ten and a half point This is a have to
have a game.
Speaker 1 (39:45):
It's a ten and a half point spread.
Speaker 4 (39:46):
Just on that alone, not even trying to tease that thing,
they should be already cover that day. If ODU can
absolutely work Virginia Tech by thirty plus, I would hope
Anti Steak can bounce back in half. There are similar
spots to South Carolina. What's South Carolina spread? Similar spread
or no?
Speaker 1 (40:03):
Lower? Yeah?
Speaker 4 (40:04):
I think it was like we double check it here
it is. Keep talking for a second, all right, all right,
I don't I don't like talking. Yeah, you love it.
For South Carolina, Okay, that one's lower. It feels like
they're similar. Should be that should be a play too.
Speaker 3 (40:15):
Honestly, it feels like they're similar for South Carolina and State,
Like you.
Speaker 4 (40:19):
Can't you're trying to bounce back. You gotta have these games.
But I don't think those coaches are in trouble, But
those type of losses there that could be like, hey man,
we gotta have a discussion. I don't think it's gonna happen,
but we also just f up a season, right, Like
you know what I mean.
Speaker 3 (40:34):
Like there's certain games you've got to find a way
to win because you've got other ones that are more
difficult and you might trip up on. But a Texter
tells me we're NC State, Mac. We can disappoint you
when you least expected.
Speaker 1 (40:48):
But not this time. I don't think. So what about it?
Are Virginia fan? Virginia fan?
Speaker 3 (40:53):
How about my Who's boys going to shock the world
against Florida State?
Speaker 1 (40:57):
And what cover are you feeling that at all?
Speaker 3 (41:00):
Bony because you've been kind of chirping about Virginia this
week a little bit.
Speaker 1 (41:05):
Are you feeling upset? Yeah? You are, Da.
Speaker 4 (41:12):
I know Florida State had that big, impressive, big impressive
win over Obama, but they haven't really had to do
much since then. Max So, but they've been hanging like
seventy they have against what western competition. Virginia is better.
Virginia cands score. Some guys on the ACC Network podcast,
I think Gardnie Jones, DJ Manual they were they were
trying to figure out who's the fourth best team in
(41:34):
the ACC. Virginia came up in that discussion. I think
Virginia has a great chance to had to pull the
ups As a matter of fact, I think outright, Virginia
stuns the college football world to that they went at
home against for it.
Speaker 1 (41:46):
That would be crazy. You didn't is it?
Speaker 3 (41:48):
Doesn't Virginia have the historical upset of Florida State back
in the day, the War Thursday Night.
Speaker 4 (41:52):
Game, the War with Don game in ninety five when
he got stopped going in at the end.
Speaker 1 (41:56):
That's a classic game, man.
Speaker 4 (41:57):
But that was that was I think that was Was
that not FSU's first conference loss. Maybe that's what I think.
I was such a big dance some ridiculous street goals.
I was in college feeling good on that night. I
know I was eleven field.
Speaker 1 (42:11):
Good game.
Speaker 3 (42:13):
I'm all about Florida State in this game. I think
Florida State is legit. I think they are all that
on offense. I think the Gus malson running game with
Thomas Costellanos, who by the way, has said he's one
hundred percent he's going to go in this game. There
was a worry after the ankle injury last week.
Speaker 1 (42:28):
Bone.
Speaker 4 (42:28):
This running game is nasty. We're in for two hundred
thirty yards on Alabama ran for four ninety eight on
Ken State. I don't care what school you are.
Speaker 3 (42:35):
If you can run for four ninety eight on somebody,
you got something cooking. I think they have added skill
position players that are electric, and I don't think that.
I watched Virginia's defense play against NC State. If NC
State can run for two hundred something yards against Virginia's defense,
I think Florida State's going for almost three hundred on them.
I think Florida States would Are you buying the bridge?
(42:56):
There are a lot of It's not just Bone. There
are a lot of people hyping this as a as
an upset possibility fit.
Speaker 1 (43:02):
Are you buying that tonight?
Speaker 7 (43:03):
No, This Florida State team, I think is different. I
think Virginia might be competitive, they might put up something.
Are definitely improved this year. But this that best shoot team.
There's a different attitude about this group. And you saw
it in the way they beat Bama than the way
they responded the last three weeks, scoring seventy points and
won two of the three games. I think so I
think they win and win big, this like fifty to
(43:24):
twenty eight.
Speaker 3 (43:24):
This Texas says, I'm fired up about our Nitney Lions back.
I'm feeling confident. Nobody's talking about us. Everybody's talking about Oregon.
Speaker 1 (43:32):
You are dark.
Speaker 3 (43:33):
The reason they're to state the reason they're talking about
Oregon bone is because Oregon style points have far exceeded
Penn States. Oregon's played better opponents, although they had yand
played anybody like this, and Dante Moore has not quarterback
Oregon in a place like this, white out, with all
those wack of doos, all those key state of state
wacka doo's bony like I feel like the I feel
(43:55):
like white Out, Oregon is getting all the hype Penn
State's gonna use like I kind of feel good, But dude,
Drew Aller's got to play better. Like Dreweller's not playing
good against the crappiest opponents. So that worries me a
little bit high school. This is a Franklin lost type game. Man, Seriously,
He's got to prove something. The quarterback in this matchup.
Who would have thought that Dante Moore right now is
(44:16):
up there in the Heisman odds, He's like top two,
top three.
Speaker 1 (44:19):
You know, I'd love that.
Speaker 4 (44:20):
Allard's probably thinking, Hey, that was supposed to be me.
I think that they're very even, They're very close. They
may play again along the way. We'll see, but I
think in this environment, those fans have been salivating for
a big moment. James Franklin needs this one. I think
Penn State gets the dub close to Penn State. If
it's they use to orgon at home, that would be
a disappointment to me for who we think Penn State is.
Speaker 3 (44:41):
This experienced version of Penn State can't win a game
like this. Are they going to?
Speaker 1 (44:44):
Are they going to?
Speaker 2 (44:45):
Ever?
Speaker 4 (44:46):
What I want to say, Oh, ECU fans are looking
for some love they're looking something for love in all
the right places here, Bonie. You know they they were
pretty dominant against al against Army last night twenty eight
to six. They kind of messed around, played with their
food in the middle quarters a lit litle bit, bony,
you know.
Speaker 1 (45:01):
What I mean.
Speaker 3 (45:01):
It kept getting stopped on fourth down, House read some turnovers.
How's he got chill with the turnovers when you're like
in the red zone, He's got to chill with that.
But man, I thought their defense got after Army's running
game on like third and fourth down plays, like just
stuffing that quarterback Coleman in the backfield. And man did
ECU come out guns ablazon heap bass to Anthony Smith.
Speaker 4 (45:21):
So that's a big win for ECU. Man, don't forget
to be goodnight. FS one app State Boise State also
tomorrow night. I ain't feeling Apps. I'm favored by sixteen
and a half. The only thing I could think of
maybe a reason why at might hang in that game
for a while. Boise plays at Notre Dame next week.
Is there any wook ahead factor for Boise? Perhaps maybe
(45:44):
maybe they get caught peeking ahead just a little bit
to a massive game for their program next week. I
can't see APP winning, but maybe covering sixteen and a
half App Scott.
Speaker 3 (45:53):
Maybe App's gotta chill with the turnovers the Lindenwood game
and the Southern Miss loss. They made me change the
way I look at APP. I'm starting to think Bone.
Did Charlotte just make them look good? Charlotte is unc Yeah.
I mean, as I'm saying, is Charlotte the team you
go to to like restore your image?
Speaker 1 (46:12):
Oh?
Speaker 4 (46:12):
Man, anyway, I'd love to see ab do something there
against Boise.
Speaker 1 (46:17):
Oh we didn't mention Duke.
Speaker 4 (46:18):
Somebody says, what about the State University of New Jersey Bone.
I'm third with Duke because this could be a letdown.
I think Duke wins. I think it's gonna be tough.
They're gonna have to focus because I think there's a
natural thing to think. Oh, they're playing the backup quarterback
for Syracuse now that you're not ready for Angelly is
(46:40):
out for the season. But ran Brocken flat out coach.
He may be able to work with any quarterback he
puts in there. Duke is favored by anywhere from four
and a half to five in this game. I think
Duke can do this as long as they don't turn
it over like they did. An appreciates with them, but
there is definitely I'm not ignoring that there could be
a letdown factor going up there.
Speaker 3 (46:59):
I know Ricky Holland's first pass was a touchdown against
Clemson when he came in, so we'll see what he
can do for a full game.
Speaker 1 (47:05):
That one scares me.
Speaker 3 (47:06):
From a duke's standpoint, Bony I get, I think I
would lean duke, but that that could be a good
game at nude uh Dieck fan said, what about way Forest?
Speaker 4 (47:14):
What about wait for him? I think I think Hayes King.
I think Haines King's gonna go off man. Now, the
only thing in that is it's a noon game. Do
they much like I just talked about with Boise State.
Does Georgia Tech fall asleep a little bit early against
Do they take him whitely and maybe that makes it
a little closer throughout the game and Georgia Tech pulls away.
(47:34):
But I don't think wake Forest has a chance to
actually outright.
Speaker 3 (47:37):
Be I think anybody watching that game might fall asleep tomorrow. Actually, sorry,
d sorry Dikes. When we come back.
Speaker 4 (47:44):
