Speaker 1 (00:07):
Allow me to reintroduce myself. My name is I'm Willpe Logic.

Speaker 2 (00:22):
Horse Radio ninety seven WFNZ. We got some juicy audio
from the college football world.

Speaker 1 (00:28):
Dabo said something.

Speaker 3 (00:31):
An LSU reporter ran to Brian Kelly and his pressor.
I said to hear what Dabas said.

Speaker 2 (00:36):
Brian Kelly, fire back Mike Norvel's got fitty angry with
a comment. And we've got former Patriots players commenting on
Bill Belichick and his debut.

Speaker 1 (00:47):
So we got that's coming up in nine twenty five.

Speaker 2 (00:49):
Right now. You heard P Man's music. It's P Man's world.
We're just living in a baby. We got the Panthers opener.
We got Red Hot FC. We got a ridiculous fine
for Eadon my man twork in the day by the MLS.
Got Woogie Suarez. Yeah, no, people with no fine, with
no fine apparently yet. So anyway, we got stuff to
talk about with the P Man. Willie Pe is here,

(01:11):
uh and I expect passion as always from the P
Man today.

Speaker 1 (01:14):
What's up, Pee? How you feeling?

Speaker 4 (01:16):
I don't know what I like more told Lamonti or
Lugi Suarez.

Speaker 1 (01:20):
I like both. Feel free to use those babies your broadcast.
That's a good combo. So P Man, what are you doing?
Are you beaching it?

Speaker 3 (01:28):
I mean, this is another thing we need to point
out for all the for all the hell we get
P Man. I would not blame the man if he said,
I'm on vacation. I'll talk to you losers next week.

Speaker 1 (01:37):
But P Man is here. What's what are y'all doing
this week on your vacation week?

Speaker 5 (01:41):
We're in rights fuol, just just chilling. Uh did a
little beach resort.

Speaker 4 (01:47):
Here on the coast and not doing much of really anything.
We're getting a little breakfast right now and downtown Wilmington
and then headed back for one.

Speaker 5 (01:55):
H one or two more beach days.

Speaker 1 (01:57):
Very nice, the cuisine, ben it's good.

Speaker 5 (02:00):
It's all right.

Speaker 4 (02:01):
I mean I would I wouldn't go so far as
to say it's like, you know, it's not Italy, but.

Speaker 5 (02:05):
It's all right.

Speaker 1 (02:08):
That's the debate we have. We'll be did versus Italy.

Speaker 5 (02:11):
Well, we're actually at it.

Speaker 4 (02:13):
We're actually a triple D recommended place right now.

Speaker 1 (02:15):
So for breakfast, Oh there you go, there you go.

Speaker 2 (02:18):
All right, So let's start before we get to your
thoughts on the fine let's start with just the way
FC is playing. What a freaking goal, What a way
to win late and man, I'm telling you to Calamani.

Speaker 1 (02:34):
Can get up in the air man on these headers.

Speaker 2 (02:37):
That was beautiful and then Pep right, we could get
Pep back after the off week in the Miami match,
and then I feel like we could kick it into gear.
I mean, what a time for Charlotte FCP man right now,
fans need to be geeked about this.

Speaker 4 (02:52):
Well, the two people you mentioned are two things that
we've honestly been waiting for for four years as Charlotte observers,
fans and people who know and watch the team. It's
a creative midfielder and somebody who could be a cheat
code on set pieces. And I think that somebody who
you know in Tokamadi or he's not just somebody who

(03:14):
is just a tall guy who can be good on
set pieces.

Speaker 5 (03:17):
He is incredibly dynamic in a variety of ways.

Speaker 4 (03:20):
I think he does a lot more thankless running than
any striker we've ever had, and a lot of that
times you know, will dare out things down the road.
But also when you get pet Biel back, you get
a true talisman, and I think that's something that really
is a big, big part of what charld to Cee
is missing creatively. Yet they've been able to win without him.
And the goal they scored to win the game on

(03:42):
Saturday is their seven set piece goal. They've never had
more than seven set piece goals in a single season
going all the way back to their first year, and
quite frankly, I had to go back and look at
this because it didn't look like they had scored that many.
I know, the first goal ever was scored on a
set piece, and they had the Jordiel cievar Olimpico that year,
But at the same point in time, it's been few
and far between, and yet they've found a little something

(04:04):
here with Westwood and Tokamati combining.

Speaker 3 (04:06):
And I love and Toklamani. It's not like he's a giant.
He just he has ups. Man, it's beautiful, it's beautiful.
What's your reaction to the Tokomane Toklamani torque fine considering
the fact that MLS was promoting that on their feeds
after it happened.

Speaker 4 (04:22):
The the fine does not surprise me because I've seen
fines for even more ridiculous things. I mean, they find
you if you take too long getting off the pitch
during a red card or a substitution. So it's that
part is not necessarily surprising to me. It's the juxtaposing
that with still absolutely positively not even a peep from

(04:43):
MLS after the fracas and really just a travesty that
took place at the end of the League's Cup final
between Seattle and Miami, like like, that's if if this
is more your priority having jurisdiction over a celebration from
a player who scored a game winning goal in the
eighty seventh minute, like that, to me again is part

(05:05):
of the reason why it seems like MLS has lost
the plot when it comes to this Miami team, Like,
I'm sorry, there's just that, there's there's no reason to
me why we have to wait three days and pour through,
you know, copious amounts of video to determine. Hey, Luis
Suarez spit on a man, which is like the lowest

(05:26):
form of degrading behavior outside of you know, putting your
hands on somebody or drawing weapon on somebody like that.

Speaker 5 (05:33):
That's I don't understand. He shouldn't play the whole rest
of the year. He shouldn't he shouldn't play the whole
rest of the year.

Speaker 2 (05:39):
Yeah, it's discussed up and there needs to be a
damn suspension.

Speaker 1 (05:42):
There needs to be.

Speaker 2 (05:43):
They need to stand up and say something about it.
And instead they're worried about a dude popping them glutes
when when he had a moment of excitement extended and
winning straight to eight, you know, in the final minutes,
for god's sakes, got the bills freaking excited once to
have no fun celebrate old.

Speaker 3 (05:58):
Man on Seattle staff almost got Don zimmered there by Luis.

Speaker 2 (06:01):
I mean, Suare has already been a man on the pitch.
Now he's spitting me.

Speaker 4 (06:06):
Who skets through a punch at somebody? And and and
and Suarez that I had somebody else in the headlock.
I mean, it's just kind of like and I don't
know if you saw the video of the fans afterwards,
like this this team, I understand. And and Don Garber
has said this in the past about other teams like
La Galaxy, for example, when they had Beckham and things
of that nature. I know, Darn Garber likes creating a
villain because it creates intrigue.

Speaker 5 (06:28):
Not like this, Not like this, This This is not
good for the league.

Speaker 1 (06:31):
It's not so p man.

Speaker 2 (06:34):
We're rolling into UH week one for the Panthers. It's
finally time to get down to business, start talking about
an actual matchup that will matter. Bone and I a
little more nervous, I think than we were when camp
started about the Jacksonville matchup, just because of the wide
receiver situation. Right, you traded theling and Coker's out. We

(06:56):
don't know about Ikey and then I start getting his word, Hey,
Yosh Night, it might be the guy that's left tackle.
How do you feel about this matchup now the game
week is here?

Speaker 4 (07:06):
I mean, I think there's always going to be that
trepidation when you've kind of overhauled a part of the team,
and I'm part of that.

Speaker 5 (07:13):
I'm talking about the defense.

Speaker 4 (07:14):
I know that the offense has largely the same pieces involved,
although losing feeling is a big, big part of why
I think, you know, there might be some maybe additional
trepidation then they might have been at the beginning.

Speaker 5 (07:26):
But the thing that I keep coming.

Speaker 4 (07:28):
Back to is that, look, I understand that folks are
somewhat nervous about the way the preseason games went, but
I think we have to go back to the way
Bryce looked at the end of last year, and.

Speaker 5 (07:39):
And we saw a lot of that during camp.

Speaker 4 (07:42):
We saw a lot of that during the joint practices.
And if that's the Bryce we see show up on
Sunday against Jacksonville, then I like the Panthers chances. It
all comes down to whether or not the defense can
stop Trevor Lawrence, if they can stop the run, and
also whether or not, you know, we see the Trevor
Lawrence that we've come to be used to over the
course years, which.

Speaker 5 (08:00):
Quite frankly, is not very good. And so from that perspective,
I give.

Speaker 4 (08:04):
The Panthers better than an even chance on Sunday because
I think that they're I think buying large a better
team in Jacksonville.

Speaker 3 (08:12):
Willie, what's your assessment of what we saw UNC's performance
in the Belichick debut the other night. Are you on
the side of this could be a real big disaster
or are you in let's hold off.

Speaker 1 (08:25):
He may take time, but he'll get it figured out.
What camp are you in?

Speaker 6 (08:28):
Well?

Speaker 4 (08:28):
I don't think that people who were expecting it to
get to be totally right right off the bat give
enough credit to other coaches who have done things in
the college football world. I think it was always going
to be a very, very tough opener. I think that's
the part of it that people maybe didn't give TCU
enough credit. You know, this is a team that has
been in the College Football Playoff recent lease. Bunny Dykes

(08:50):
is a very very good coach, and quite frankly, this
is in all essence, are rebuild when it comes to
the world of college football. And Bill Belichick now he's
turned on the roster, got sixty seventy different guys in there,
and they were very active in the portal and they
were very, very good at recruiting. But I think this
is going to be an adjustment period. I don't think
disaster is a fair characterization of it. But I think again,

(09:13):
the way this season goes, I think seven eight, nine wins,
that's a good achievement for Bill Belichick in UNC. I
don't think it's gonna be a situation where they're going
to miss a bowl like I don't think it's gonna
be that bad. But I think expecting Bill Belichick to
be in the college Football Playoff right off the bat,
I think you were maybe reaching a little bit too

(09:34):
high in your expectation level, because again, I think they
have to recruit a different level of player. I think
there's also kind of a proven aspect too from players
who want to play at UNC, because while Bill Belichick
can bring all the bona fides in the world to
the table from what he had in the NFL, I
think there's kind of a wait and see approach from
a lot of the blue chip type players who can

(09:56):
really change a program, And I think they just don't
have enough of those yet to be a able to
sit there and say, hey, we can be a major
contender amongst teams that, quite frankly, are already.

Speaker 2 (10:05):
Better built than his p Man, we got big news
today on the show. Fitty Usually if he like sends
one text gets one text message from a lady, he
will tell us all about it and he will want
a segment of radio about it. But Fitty went on
down low and didn't tell us anything about the about

(10:27):
it until this morning.

Speaker 3 (10:28):
At the end of a segment that he has a
date tonight, he man, what do you think about this?
Do you have any advice too for the fit dog?
You have any advice? Where you guys, where you guys going.

Speaker 1 (10:42):
We're going to eat Mexican, which twice I haven't decided yet.
You want listeners to show up? Oh no, I would
never do such a thing. Can we get it?

Speaker 5 (10:50):
Is this your favorite Mexican place that you always talk about?
It is like your first date staple?

Speaker 1 (10:54):
Basically, yes, it's the same place you took the date.
Yet last year that's where more than likely end up.

Speaker 4 (11:03):
Have you maybe thought about, I don't know, changing it up?

Speaker 5 (11:06):
You know, like the definition of.

Speaker 4 (11:09):
Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again.

Speaker 5 (11:12):
Maybe just maybe Mexican.

Speaker 1 (11:14):
Is not your it's not to Have you been with
Flounder to this place?

Speaker 7 (11:18):
I have not?

Speaker 1 (11:19):
Actually? Okay, good, don't you got that interest your place? Sirloin?

Speaker 3 (11:22):
Show up again and do that routine where he says,
oh my god, you're fitty Marlowe, you're so great.

Speaker 1 (11:27):
Can you do that again?

Speaker 8 (11:28):
Or no?

Speaker 1 (11:28):
I mean if he wants me. I love meeting your fans.

Speaker 5 (11:31):
How did you meet this young laugh?

Speaker 6 (11:33):
That is uh gonna be kept confidential. I'll text you
the story over the air. He's very secret.

Speaker 2 (11:39):
So are you afraid because you sprung this on us
at the last minute? You didn't want the fanfare on
this one?

Speaker 5 (11:45):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (11:45):
Are you afraid that, like with the hype and fanfare,
it's like a curse. Are you're afraid that when I
start talking about these things, I mess it up?

Speaker 1 (11:53):
Is that what it is? Well?

Speaker 6 (11:55):
After you sung to Sister Christian, she proceeded in that
text back for a week in me yeah, oh one
hundred percent.

Speaker 1 (12:04):
I thought you said you like she liked my singing.

Speaker 6 (12:06):
I thought she did too, and then she quit texting back.
So this this one a little bit closer.

Speaker 9 (12:14):
To the chief.

Speaker 3 (12:14):
He doesn't live here, though, right, so Mac can say
whatever he wants. He's important. He's imported this one, I
think so fit daddy.

Speaker 1 (12:22):
I see you, baby?

Speaker 5 (12:23):
All right?

Speaker 2 (12:23):
Will you still there? We gotta do a will here.
Oh no, we got to ask you about cologne. What
what do you think about this?

Speaker 7 (12:30):
Uh?

Speaker 1 (12:30):
Pe man?

Speaker 7 (12:31):
I I do?

Speaker 5 (12:33):
I I what my swan is Luis Swallez. Period. Stop.

Speaker 3 (12:36):
That's it, all right, and that's pretty self explanatory. Do
uh uh do you wear cologne?

Speaker 2 (12:40):
I had a theory that most that most married man
don't wear Colonne because I hadn't worked Colone in almost
twenty years.

Speaker 1 (12:46):
But apparently I'm wrong.

Speaker 5 (12:47):
I I work the I work Colone absolutely. Janelle Blue.
I actually bought a bottle with my wife on our honeymoon,
and she's like, Oh, I like that, and uh, I've
been wearing it ever since.

Speaker 3 (12:59):
You Willy smells. When Willie walks in here, the everything
elevates in the room. Will He's a very good smelling man.
I will Willy smells like the damn coloone section of
J C. Pennies when he walks in.

Speaker 1 (13:11):
You know, I don't.

Speaker 5 (13:12):
I don't. I don't. I don't like. I don't like
bathing it, guys, I put like praise.

Speaker 10 (13:16):
That's it.

Speaker 3 (13:17):
I have a free sample cologne on the way from
my I have Midnight Cowboy that I normally use, but
they send me a free sample WILLI of something called
rock Chemistry, so I have.

Speaker 4 (13:28):
Don't don't go and get the ones that they are
like peddling, like like with the people, like when they
spray it in your face like that at the mall.
Don't get those at the mall, because that's because that's
the one they're trying to.

Speaker 5 (13:38):
Get rid of.

Speaker 1 (13:40):
That's a good that's a good tip.

Speaker 3 (13:41):
If I ever go buy cologne again for the first
time in two decades, I will use that tip, all.

Speaker 1 (13:46):
Right, pe Man enjoy your vacation, enjoy your time at
the beach. We'll talk to you man.

Speaker 5 (13:50):
Thank you guys.

Speaker 1 (13:51):
All right, there you go. Willie Puh with Willy's World.

Speaker 3 (13:54):
People on uh people on Fiddy's date choice tonight where
he's going saying, you don't go on the first date
to Mexican. You don't want to be gassing and bloated
on date one.

Speaker 1 (14:03):
That is a good point. Wait till you wait till
date four for Mexican.

Speaker 3 (14:06):
What if by the end of the day you're already
you know, oh, the beans are already hitting home by
every day.

Speaker 1 (14:11):
What are they already refrying in your in your stomach?

Speaker 6 (14:13):
There, I don't hate refried beans, So I got I
know how I know how to circumvent going to Mexican
on first day.

Speaker 2 (14:19):
Okay, it's not my first rodeo, only my third. That's
the second use of the old John Fox. It's not
my first rodeo. Cool by now be getting the second
rodeo when we come back. Sounds of college Football, Dabbo
and Brian Kelly exchange Barbes. Mike Norvel beat Bama, but
he's not happy, and a former Belichick player takes the

(14:40):
heels to Task Sports Radio ninety two seven WFZ.

Speaker 4 (14:54):
Did you watch the UNC TCU game last night?

Speaker 9 (14:59):
Probably maybe a few snaps that first drive, first beauty.

Speaker 1 (15:14):
Ended a game after the first time, it would have
been good.

Speaker 11 (15:18):
Guys, you seem to be excited about that. No, no, no,
I listen, I am. I'm rooting for the guy, and
I think you know, I mean, you've coached in college.
It takes a while, don't you think to get a
program going in there like that?

Speaker 10 (15:30):
I don't know everywhere won twelve for the first twelve
games in Ohio States, so it didn't take him long.

Speaker 9 (15:35):
I'm just that's my experience in college football.

Speaker 2 (15:39):
All right, that's an interesting exchange there. We got a
couple of formal former Patriots weighing in on Belichick.

Speaker 1 (15:46):
That was Mike Rabel right there.

Speaker 3 (15:48):
So he's doing his regular spot on the Greg Hill
Show w e I in Boston coaching Patriots now obviously
Mike Rabel, and he was just giving like they're all
kind of laughing at Belichick, Like Rabel says, man, it
seems like you're enjoying this.

Speaker 2 (16:03):
And then it turns to where they just simply set
him up to say, yeah, it's gonna take Bill a
long time. It's gonna take him a little while. What
he's taken over, there sendenty new players, Like he could
have totally.

Speaker 1 (16:16):
Got Bill's back on that.

Speaker 2 (16:17):
Instead, he says, I don't know if it takes that
long to win in college. I was at Ohio State
as assistant urban Meyer one his first twelve Like, I
thought that was kind of interesting.

Speaker 1 (16:26):
Yeah, that's your Mike Rabel come of the week. He didn't.

Speaker 3 (16:30):
Mike Rabel doesn't seem like the warmest, fuzziest guy, does he.

Speaker 1 (16:33):
He didn't exactly to get his guys back there. I
what do you think about that?

Speaker 3 (16:41):
Is there some tension with Rabel and Belichick? I don't,
I don't know. I don't have the answer, but I
usually guys will get their guys back that they played with.
But it felt like Mike Rabel would rather have the
back of a guy he coached with urban Meyer rather
than the guy who won titles with than Bill Belichick.

Speaker 1 (16:57):
It's just interesting.

Speaker 3 (16:58):
It was so easy to just say, yeah, you're right,
it's going to take him time, and instead he couldn't
just answer that he doesn't.

Speaker 2 (17:05):
And by the way, we got to be fair, so
fair to it we got to be fair to Bill here.
What Bill is taking over at UNC and the era
he's taking over in where players can leave and you
have to have seventy new players, plus you're doing it
at UNC compared to Ohio State.

Speaker 1 (17:21):
I mean, it's not comparable. It wasn't a fair comparison that.

Speaker 2 (17:25):
That's the other thing that strikes me too, where you
say is they're like beef there because it wasn't even
a fair comparison, like whatever been myer at Ohio State.
It's like, come on, that's not fair to use that
as to why Bill should have been better the other night.

Speaker 1 (17:40):
You know, I don't know what was interesting.

Speaker 3 (17:42):
I'd have to go look up what's going on since
Rabel became a head coach in the league. We'd have
to figure out what exactly that relationship is like. Because
it didn't seem too good there, did it.

Speaker 2 (17:51):
It wouldn't shock I mean, listen, some guys swear by him,
right Teddy Brusky was there on the ESPN the other night.
Randy Moss was there saying, my coach. I'm here to
see my coach. Like some people swear by Tom Brady.
Obviously he has had his issues and it wouldn't shock me.
Bone like if there's a bunch of players that're like, hey,
what such a jerk.

Speaker 1 (18:09):
Devin McCrae coach. But Devin mccordy.

Speaker 3 (18:11):
In January, when we thought that Rabel was going to
New England, he commented on a quote from Belichick one
time on Rabel, I think he would be a pretty
damn good coach. He's enough of a bleephole that he
can go in and be ahead coach immediately. So obviously
it's a compliment in a way from Belichick, but he

(18:31):
also caught him a blee pole.

Speaker 2 (18:32):
So he's like, Bill, you know what I mean. One
of Bill's strength is he's a bleepole. He doesn't care
I'm going to demand out of you. I don't care
if you like me, just respect me.

Speaker 3 (18:39):
So Rabel kind of has that bleepole coach, you know,
Gene that Bill had. Rabel's been worth with the media
so far that Belichick was Belichick's just like.

Speaker 2 (18:50):
Non answers, right, I'm mumbling, you can't hear me. I'm
on the Cincinnati I'm just not answering your questions.

Speaker 6 (18:54):
Right.

Speaker 3 (18:55):
Rabel is like, I'm literally going to chastise you, reporter, man,
I'm gonna I'm gonna rip you for that question.

Speaker 2 (19:02):
Yeah, it's it's different. It's still it's still ornery, but
it's different. Jason McCarty, the other McCarty brother who also
played for Bill, was on First Take yesterday Bone and
when Steve and A got done yelling about they didn't
have a I played.

Speaker 1 (19:17):
It pass for two hours and eight minutes.

Speaker 2 (19:19):
Once he got done yelling about that bony, Jason McCarty
stepped in and he made some very good points basically
of why Carolina looked like the opposite of what Bill
Belichick teams normally look like when you.

Speaker 1 (19:33):
Watch that game.

Speaker 12 (19:34):
And I was someone who sat in the team meeting
and listened to Bill for three years. His number one
phrase was always, you can't win until you keep from losing.
All that means is the fundamentals, the easy things, completing
a screen stephen ay, those type of things you have
to be able to do.

Speaker 1 (19:53):
When you watched that game last.

Speaker 12 (19:54):
Night, the punter dropped the ball, or running back couldn't
handle a handoff from the quarterback, a pick six, a
fumble return for a touchdown.

Speaker 1 (20:02):
They had two runs where the.

Speaker 12 (20:04):
Running back was completely untouched.

Speaker 1 (20:08):
That is not a Bill Belichick led team.

Speaker 12 (20:10):
I think the most surprising fact for me was the
one thing that New England always hung her hat off
was their ability to adjust. You go into a game
with one game plan, things unfold, and then you come
up with different things to figure out a way to
be better than your opponent. You're watching that game last night.
They go in the halftime. Now, listen, in the NFL
halftime feels like two minutes. You go in, use the restroom,

(20:32):
you grab yourself a quick snack, and you're back out there.

Speaker 5 (20:34):
On the field.

Speaker 1 (20:35):
In college, is an eternity.

Speaker 12 (20:37):
Bill could have gone in and come up with a
brand new game plan with all the time they had
at halftime. They come out and the first play of
the second half is a seventy five yard untouched touchdown run.
That to me was the final showl.

Speaker 3 (20:54):
Yeah, we talked about that the other day. Bone Like,
first of all, I'm not sure.

Speaker 2 (20:57):
I mean, I would like to see the offense not
just trying to run it up gut and try to
use GEO skills better.

Speaker 1 (21:02):
And all that stuff.

Speaker 3 (21:03):
But as far as making adjustments, Bony like, I don't
know what you gonna do unless you can send New players,
you know what I mean, Like they were just getting
destroyed in the trenches.

Speaker 1 (21:13):
I mean, I guess you gotta work on tackling.

Speaker 3 (21:16):
But he but his first point was what you brought
up yesterday, Like they didn't do even do the fundamental
stuff that you thought basic fundamental stuff you thought a
Bill team could do. Yeah, there was no speech at
halftime that was good or adjustment that was gonna fix
that mess, right that was that was a mess long
before that game even started. And it goes a little
bit to what Nick Saban said. We played the audio

(21:38):
the other day about we were trying to figure out
what he meant by it sort of was about taking
the time. It's gonna take a lot more time than
we expected it to take. I think we saw that
the other night. Because yes, Bill can teach fundamentals. Bill
and his staff can make players better. But when you
have seventy five new players, that's a lot of guys

(21:58):
that you have to get better. That's a lot of
guys to have to embrace the fundamentals. It's not like
eight to ten guys you're trying to improve and make
your football team better. The entire roster has to warn
the Belichick way, and that can't happen in one summer
and in what football.

Speaker 2 (22:12):
Yeah, I would love to see Max Johnson star. We
don't know about that yet. Bill's gonna have his presser
here in the next day or so, I would think,
But I would like to see Max Johnson if you're
gonna run a pro style offense. We don't even know
if Geo's healthy enough to play, But if he is,
and if you're gonna play him, please embrace like they
ran at least one of those zone reads in the
second half, Please embrace using.

Speaker 1 (22:34):
Geo's wheels for godsakes, man.

Speaker 2 (22:37):
By the way, they Vegas moved not only moved the
spread of the Charlotte game from twenty one and a
half to fourteen and a half, but they moved the
tar heel over under wind total number from seven and
a half to five and a half.

Speaker 3 (22:48):
So Vegas is taking drastic action. Next time, they might
move Bill to a home boy. Alright, let's move the
more sounds of Tario fan dram kind of take care
of you know what I mean? Yeah, I got cha,
got well, Tarrio fans, you uh, you can unclench the
cheeks now, all right?

Speaker 1 (23:04):
You can relax.

Speaker 2 (23:05):
We are moving on to non tar heel relate, non
tar heel related sounds of college football. The Brian Kelly
Dabo back or Dabbo Brian Kelly back and forth. We
got to discuss this. It's been three hours since we
you know, played the audio and discussed this on the show,
So I want the nine o'clockers to hear this. Let's

(23:25):
start first with a clip the Dabo Sweeney from Dabo
Sweeney in his press or the other day and at
the end of it caught the ear of it of
a Louisiana journalist who then asked Brian Kelly about it.

Speaker 1 (23:39):
This is what Dabo said.

Speaker 10 (23:40):
I mean, if we make the first tackle, I mean,
Wade's got the guy he's got. I mean, I don't
even know how his needing go down, but he you know,
without that run. I mean, like I said, the last
fifteen mins is a two point eight and that that
is a that is a physical group, is a very
smart quarterback, and.

Speaker 5 (23:56):
That is a back.

Speaker 10 (23:58):
Uh So they gonna be ab and they got some
explosive dudes, and it was a hell of a game.

Speaker 1 (24:04):
It was a hell of a game.

Speaker 10 (24:05):
Down the last play right out of the Gate, it's
like getting the final exam day one of class.

Speaker 1 (24:12):
They made a.

Speaker 10 (24:12):
Sixty five, We made a fifty eight, Navy one.

Speaker 1 (24:17):
Okus were great, all right.

Speaker 2 (24:18):
So that last part cut the ear at least somebody
in LSU because that somebody asked Brian Kelly about.

Speaker 7 (24:25):
It, devas when he said that this was like a
final exam on day one of class and said that
he would have given LSU a sixty five and Clemson
a fifty eight because neither played grade. Just wondering how
you would have graded or assessed the team in their
first day of the year.

Speaker 13 (24:40):
Well, I mean, I thought we dominated him in the
second half. So he's either a really good grader for
you know, giving himself a fifty eight, or he's a
really hard greater on us, or he didn't see the
second half, which that might be the case.

Speaker 1 (24:56):
He might not have wanted to see the second half.

Speaker 3 (25:00):
Point for Brian Kelly, there as adage Kelly, where I
have a question. I don't know if Dabo intended initially
to be kind of talking down to LSU, but it
did come out that way.

Speaker 1 (25:12):
But where was LSU sixty five? In that game?

Speaker 3 (25:14):
Their defense played lights out? NUSS was really good. The
running game was so much better than Clemson. Where were
they of sixty five? That's what I like, That's what
I'd like to know, Like, where where were they that great?
I did not see that first half. They only had
three points offensively, but they should have had twenty four points.
A damn touchdown was taken away. I'm sorry, man, he

(25:35):
caught that ball before the end zone, took a step,
you crossed the plane. I don't understand why he then
even needs to hold it to the ground when you
caught it and took us and took a step into
the end zone.

Speaker 2 (25:46):
I don't understand. But yeah, he was being complimentary at first.
Dabo was I don't know what y'all think.

Speaker 1 (25:52):
Do y'all?

Speaker 2 (25:53):
First of all, I don't know how you could think
anything other than Brian Kelly just hit him.

Speaker 3 (25:56):
With a savage one. Just a savage shot by Brian Kelly.
But like, did Dabbo deserve that? Like savage? I should
have even was it a big deal? Dabo was complimenting
him right before it. But do you need to even
say anything about how your opponent that just beat you
in your house was bad? You were talking off the
ara about a Texter said it didn't. He had a

(26:18):
comment after a Florida State game one time, right that
was sort of way back.

Speaker 1 (26:22):
In the day.

Speaker 2 (26:22):
He said, yeah, text brought I forgot all about it.
I think it was the Jamis game on a Saturday
night where I remember Kelvin Benjamin went off in that
game too.

Speaker 1 (26:30):
Remember that where they they on the field They be.

Speaker 2 (26:33):
Clemson fifty one to fourteen, and Dabo said something like,
you know they were far speriod day. But if we
play them ten times, you know we each win five.
But today that was their day, that sort of thing,
and that didn't.

Speaker 1 (26:46):
Go over well.

Speaker 3 (26:47):
You sometimes Dabo yapping a little too much. He's stopped yapping, Fiddy,
how do you do you have a problem with Dabo.
You have a problem with Brian Kelly, don't you.

Speaker 1 (26:56):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (26:56):
I had really no issue with what Dabo said because
he was just saying the way that he thought the
game played out. It wasn't a pretty It wasn't a
pretty game. It was an ugly game. It was a
defensive game. And this is where this is why people
hate Brian Kelly. Right, the guy finally wins a significant
season open on LSU, and what's he doing when he's

(27:18):
going on fine bomb and congratulating for starting to do
his job, and then he's talking about maybe Dabo didn't
want to see the second because we dominated them. Last
time I checked, Clemson had the ball inside the twenty
with a chance to tie the game and force overtime. Like,
I know, you're mentioned about how the play took points
off the board for them and that was unfortunate, but

(27:38):
it wasn't like they just went in there and won
the game thirty five to seven. And Dabo said what
he said, this was a tightly contested game. Kelly, you
finally won a game. Celebrate that because if you would
have lost, you know, the heat would have been turned
up and his job security have been a legitimate question
down there.

Speaker 1 (27:58):
But this guy finally wins the team a.

Speaker 3 (28:00):
Little he's talk is he peacocking a little too much
because there's only one game?

Speaker 1 (28:03):
Yeah, you got a full sea.

Speaker 3 (28:04):
He's in the go though it does look like you
have a hell of a squad. The Texters are going
all in on Brian Kelly. I thought Dabo might get
a little bit of it. Brian Kelly's an ass.

Speaker 2 (28:14):
Dabbo is unnecessary, But I hate Brian Kelly. Brian Kelly
makes Belichick seem warm and fuzzy. He is, that's Nutson.

Speaker 1 (28:23):
Chili.

Speaker 2 (28:23):
Willie says, Dabbo is such an ignorant fool. I don't
think Dabo meant any harm. But like if you're if
you're Brian Kelly bone, a reporter is telling you that
Dabbo said this, and you just beat him, it might
hitch you some sort of way.

Speaker 1 (28:37):
And he's reacting. He's reacting in the moment.

Speaker 3 (28:39):
I'm not named Brian Kelly defender, although a Saturday BK
was my my man.

Speaker 1 (28:44):
He is your guy.

Speaker 3 (28:45):
I have to move off from that. But he's reacting
in real time. He didn't have time to sit around.
The reporter asked me, gave an answer.

Speaker 2 (28:51):
All right, one last clip here, you're right, you're right,
one last clip that's juicy. And we didn't even we
don't even have the audio of of Gundy and Dan
Lanning going back and forth before they play this.

Speaker 1 (29:02):
We man, you're right. College football is juicy all the
damn time. But this is Mike.

Speaker 2 (29:07):
Norvel on Inside College Football, Florida State head coach talking
about the Bama win.

Speaker 1 (29:12):
What do y'all think about this?

Speaker 8 (29:14):
You know, and in all reality, I mean, uh, I
thought that it was it was a dominant performance when
I was kind of pissed off we didn't win by
more because we had our we had a lot uh.

Speaker 1 (29:23):
To be able to really to grow from that. And
you know, I mean our team, we celebrate that win.
I mean I'm not.

Speaker 5 (29:30):
I didn't.

Speaker 1 (29:31):
I didn't play it down going into the game.

Speaker 8 (29:32):
We knew the stage, we knew what was we knew
the stakes that were into that in that moment, and
we had to show up and play you know, you know,
quality football. And I thought our guys did that. They
embraced that challenge. But we left, you know, Saturday night.
You know, everybody's excited, everybody's your passionate. I mean we
came back Sunday and went to work and there was
ownership to the mistakes that were made.

Speaker 1 (29:52):
You You you receive the correction, you try to go
apply it.

Speaker 14 (29:56):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (29:56):
This morning we had practice and I mean you felt
our team practice today. What do you think of that?
Moone man?

Speaker 3 (30:02):
How how things happened quickly in college football? Mike Norfel's
now upsett off a two win season that they did
not be Alabama by enough.

Speaker 1 (30:10):
The other day. What what's happening in this world? How
did we get here? In this only week one, y'all?
What's coming next?

Speaker 2 (30:17):
Fitties back their scoff and Mike Norvell and Brian Kelly
have both made fitting mad. I kind of like this because,
first of all, I watched the game and had I
had the same thought. That scoreboard flattered Alabama. They got
their hein knees whooped. I honestly thought they got whooped
worse than the scoreboard. What's your problem?

Speaker 5 (30:35):
Fitting?

Speaker 3 (30:36):
I liked it too, by the way, I thought. I thought,
that's the thing. Let's raise the standard here. Did he
have to say it?

Speaker 1 (30:41):
No, he didn't have to.

Speaker 6 (30:43):
I think DA is just a standard at Florida State.
Keep that standard high like that. I guess it's just
the optics man like. And I know I ranted about
them storming the field after going to Inten a year ago.
Your FSU, you should never storm the field. But I mean,
just be glad that you won. Thank your lucky stars
that gust Malson wanted to come.

Speaker 9 (31:02):
Work for you.

Speaker 6 (31:03):
Because if Gus Malzan didn't want to come to your
play caller, do they win that game?

Speaker 1 (31:06):
Hell no, they lose that game by three touchdowns.

Speaker 6 (31:09):
And so now, because you've got maybe the best play
caller in the country on your staff, that's gonna get
who deserves the credit for the win.

Speaker 1 (31:16):
More than you do.

Speaker 6 (31:17):
Now you're mad that shantn't win by more, Just be
glad that that guy's.

Speaker 1 (31:22):
The coordinator and not the head coach.

Speaker 2 (31:24):
So you're giving him crap because he was willing to
bring in a guy like Malson, like you're giving a
lot of coaches wouldn't be secure enough. Coaches that are
on the hot seat, a lot of them wouldn't be
secure enough to give in to bring game guy like
Gustin as long as he's Hey.

Speaker 6 (31:36):
Where was the praise from Malsan when yeah, I'm mad? Well, no,
how about you think the guy that put together the
game plan? Because because what would Mike and Rebelt put
together a game plan to me to Alabama? That answer
is no, shut up. Just be glad you won a
game of consequence while you're on the hot seat. Don't
be magine it win by more.

Speaker 3 (31:53):
Oh, if belichicked, if they if you guys, don't hear
me out, If you guys would have won the other night,
and Bellichack will said, I'm glad we won, but it
wasn't you want to come on here saying the darn
right coach that standard high coach hape and high. The
standard is the roof or whatever the hell the same.

Speaker 6 (32:10):
Hey, we won the tailgate in the pre game. Did
you just see that matters in the SCC for like
half those fan bases. So that's well on our way.
That's all that matters in Greenville, North Carolina. Every other
place that does not all that matters. By the way,
did you see what we don't have the audio?

Speaker 2 (32:24):
Did you see what LT said at the Little Rock
Touchdown Club at Arkansas when he left together he left
three minutes into the second half, said that was an
ass whooping. He said, Bill led me to believe we
were gonna be okay before the game, he said we
were anything but okay. I'm gonna guess a lot of
the people that you saw on Monday night will never

(32:44):
be back again.

Speaker 1 (32:45):
Yeah, or at least.

Speaker 3 (32:46):
Unless they're being honored by the also being honored for
some of the day Dad. They definitely Bill has a
lot to prove to get him back, no doubt. When
we come back to wrap up Sports Radio nine seven
W FNZ.

Speaker 14 (33:06):
This is a football nightmare. Brother, the Gusmus wheels do
go round and round, round and round over by Candy Ass.

Speaker 1 (33:15):
That's where they went round and round.

Speaker 14 (33:17):
I'm not saying that I hate show ass, but if
you was on life support, I pulled the plug in
charge my phone. You're about as puffler as a bonus
track on a Yoko Ono album. Right now. There's nobody
likes you. You are an outsider. You couldn't aspire a
chicken across the road if there was a hen on

(33:37):
the other side looking like Megan Fox and some daisy tooth.
Get the hell out of town, clearing away. Elviss is leaving.

Speaker 1 (33:47):
The damn building all right there. He is legend.

Speaker 3 (33:51):
The caller on the Paul five Bomb Show went viral
for the second time this week, and I'm sure today
today will probably be the third one, and then tomorrow
the fourth one, and on and on we go here
during football season. That is the New York Butcher Chop
cut of the Day. Four locations indian Land, Cornelius, Dilward,
Fort Mile and now opening Carrie opened very soon in Belmont.

(34:12):
Check him out on the gram at n Why but
Your Wine Bar Daily specials and meal deals. Go War
a must follow site if you are Charlotte foodie. And
why butcher wine.

Speaker 2 (34:21):
I mean, legend is having like think back to one
of Michael Like, what's Michael Jordan's best series in the playoffs?
Ever's what Legend is having this week? This is this
dude is just cutting promos onto bor right and left.
This is the shrug against the Blazers.

Speaker 1 (34:35):
He's into his own baby.

Speaker 3 (34:36):
That also started out as the same call as yesterday.
I thought it was when you send it to us
and round body got into his new material. Then he
was pulling Kaylin de Boor's life support. My god, holy crab.
Oh that's football in Alabama. Though it's slightly important. There's
an Alabama message board right now where all the good
stuff really happens, where they're trying to come up with

(34:57):
a plan to frame Kaitlin de Boor with this secretary.
They're trying to set up something where he gets fired
by the school.

Speaker 1 (35:05):
Oh my god, but.

Speaker 3 (35:09):
They want him to pull a Petrino man, get on
a motorcycle, get on that hog.

Speaker 1 (35:14):
Yes.

Speaker 3 (35:14):
Can you imagine living life right now as Kaylin de Boor?
The amount of pressure you must feel Oh my god.
Kat Mac from Borstill brought up a very good point yesterday.
Alabama has been good or dominant throughout the entire social
media era. Think about when it started, how great they've been.
We're now going to see Bama fans on social media

(35:35):
not celebrating like normal, absolutely freaking out and losing their
mind because we have not seen this really in full
before Bama come back to life, and how they're going
to react on the internet all this.

Speaker 2 (35:45):
They didn't have Twitter to rip Mike Schula back in
the day. They had to do it the old school way,
you know what I mean. They barely had Facebook. But man,
it's gonna be something to watch, all right, coming up
in sports Braves trying to win one of these games
against the Cubs tonight. And as Bone said earlier, we
make it one more day, y'all. We make it one
more day because tomorrow we ride. NFL fans, we ride
tomorrow with the Philly Dallas game, and then it's on.

(36:07):
Then there's Chiefs and Chargers on Friday, then college football,
then the Panthers and the rest of the NFL. We
begin five straight days of football yet again on Thursday.

Speaker 1 (36:17):
All right, let's see what we got here? Bone Man.

Speaker 2 (36:19):
On the fan duel text line, this texter says thinks
Dabbo was paying LSU a compliment. He says, a sixty
five is a B plus an LSU, isn't it. A
texter says, Fitty, you're not going to a Mexican restaurant tonight.
Taco Bell doesn't qualify as a Mexican restaurant. Somebody else
has a theory that you can't take a woman on

(36:40):
the first date to a Mexican restaurant because she's not
going to come back to your place when she feels
like she's got to use the bathroom.

Speaker 5 (36:49):
There you go.

Speaker 1 (36:50):
I gotta be honest. I don't know Fitty this.

Speaker 3 (36:52):
I mean this for me, for anybody, the bringing her
back on the first date doesn't seem why that's something
to work. I'm saying that for myself too. I'd be
thinking about that. You gotta be like a Canalis in
Morgan Man. You just have to worry about the dinner
and the date and the found dates. I don't think
too far ahead on it.

Speaker 6 (37:11):
I just want the text that she got home safely
to come through. There you go, Oh, aren't you sweet?
This is the guy's sweet.

Speaker 3 (37:16):
That's a good place. That's that's what you have to
worry about. What do you start thinking about stuff after that?
It never happens that way.

Speaker 6 (37:22):
I never go into the first date with any expectation.
It's just We're gonna go to dinner and then I'm
gonna go home because it's a guy's night. I'm gonna
watch Yellowstone, And hopefully while I'm watching Yellowstone, I'm getting
text messages.

Speaker 1 (37:36):
I tell you, God like that attitude that I thought.
There's no met game tonight.

Speaker 2 (37:42):
So and me and me and missus Mac first date
at a Mexican restaurant. Look at us now? One of
us is happy, you know what I mean?

Speaker 1 (37:48):
Look at us now?

Speaker 2 (37:49):
All right, let's see ta Bizil says cologne is a
staple for grown ass married men. Grow the hell up, Mac,
bite me, Bissil. I take back that comment about Florida
state being top ten legit top ten team me. Busy
texta wants to know if Fiddy is going out with
Mama Hudson to night. Another texta wants to know did
Fitty meet Jordan Hudson at the tailgate? Is that why

(38:11):
he's got a date tonight? Oh my God, what else
do we have. Someone saw a photo of meach. Oh yeah,
this is a w FNZ Twitter if you missed it,
me doing the daily fitty panther thong check making sure
that he's wearing it. Somebody thinks it's gonna be a
busy day for w f Z HR.

Speaker 7 (38:31):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (38:31):
Oh, we're getting a Jeff call tomorrow right. No, in
this normal for the back of Bone show. That sounds
a weird to phrase it.

Speaker 5 (38:39):
That one.

Speaker 3 (38:40):
Jeff like the fitty panther thong thing. He was here
a couple weeks ago. We were talking about it. So
I don't think he think he's into it, man, Yeah,
uh oh do we? In fact, James says fitty Ramseys
doesn't count as a date tonight.

Speaker 1 (38:52):
God, I don't think Ramsey all I had a comeback.
But I'm just not gonna say cannot Ramsey cannot transport
those things.

Speaker 2 (39:00):
Keep it calm. Texter says Mac. Of course, Mac doesn't
wear cologne. He spills some sycamore mountain candy on himself
and calls it cologne. You could be right, you could
be right.

Speaker 1 (39:11):
By the way, I gotta have.

Speaker 2 (39:12):
One more sycamore shadow. I'm glad, he said, this on
the way out the door. Fitty Marlowe back in the
dating game. The man rides again, Baby, the man is
back into saddle. Good luck to you, fit, good luck
to you, fit dog. And we want all the details
tomorrow Fit NFL Thursday. Baby, when I got time talking
about you?

Speaker 1 (39:29):
Want to talk about your cowboys?

Speaker 5 (39:30):
There?

Speaker 3 (39:31):
Oh yeah, we got a cowboy test that fool tomorrow.
Oh what if he's wearing cowboy on these tomorrow? When
you go, I'm gonna check. All right, we're out here, y'all.
Let's let Kylea get in here.

Speaker 2 (39:41):
Mix it up with you guys on Charlotte Sports Today.
Stay tuned right here on WFNZI. How do you pop
that booty like that?

Speaker 1 (39:48):
This grumpy thong wearing baldy
