Na terceira temporada deste podcast, vamos descobrir a fundação do PSD, os Governos da Aliança Democrática e a Consolidação da Democracia em Portugal. Neste primeiro episódio, Francisco Pinto Balsemão lembra o arranque do PSD: "Há que recordar que a fundação do PSD foi uma proeza só possível numa fase revolucionária como a que Portugal vivia a seguir ao 25 de Abril. Logo a 27 de abril, bem à maneira dele, Sá Carneiro, em entrevista à RTP, anuncia a próxima criação de um partido. Eu telefono-lhe: “É mesmo para andar?”Ele: “Claro!” Eu: “Vamos a isso!”".
Escolher o nome do partido não foi fácil: "Liguei, do meu gabinete do Expresso, onde estavam também Ruben Andresen Leitão e Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, para Francisco Sá Carneiro, que estava no Porto, começámos a inventar e propor outras designações. A dada altura, Ruben atira com “Partido Popular Democrático – PPD!” Gostei e transmiti para Sá Carneiro. “Também gosto!”, respondeu ele, com a sua habitual rapidez. E ficou PPD até, a 3 de outubro de 1976, no Congresso de Leiria, conseguirmos mudar para o que sempre desejáramos: PSD – Partido Social Democrata", lembra.
