Viola ligt na haar miskramen met haar eigen gevoelens overhoop. Want ze heeft op dat moment toch al drie gezonde kinderen, dus waarom dat verdriet? Als ze vastloopt in haar drukke leven, gooit ze het over een heel andere boeg. Ze begint met de opleiding voor uitvaartbegeleider. Achteraf beseft ze dat haar miskramen als een rode draad door die hele opleiding lopen. Het heeft haar kijk op rouw en verdriet voor altijd veranderd.
