Mo-Town Knows: Preventing Suicide Locally

Managing Editor Justin Tubbs sat down with local authorities and experts on mental health to talk about suicide prevention awareness month, and how Montrose is watching out for residents that are struggling. Montrose Police Chief Blaine Hall joins to talk about the department’s co-responder program and officer training. Montrose School District threat assessment coordinator joins to discuss the school’s new Safe2Tell program and new district therapist program. And finally, Center for Mental Health clinical director Laura Byard joins to talk about online training programs and the center’s crisis walk-in center.
