The Constitution states that the powers of the federal government are "herein granted," which is the foundation of the idea that any authorities held by the federal government must be expressly enumerated in the Constitution of the United States, a concept supported by Thomas Jefferson and James Madison. Donald Trump is being accused of violating the rule of law and placing in danger the constitutional republic. Governor Pritzker of Illinois has gone so far as to state that Trump's rapid pace compares to that of Adolf Hitler in Nazi Germany. Mr. Constitution Douglas V. Gibbs examines the arguments and explains the constitutional original intent and the historical definitions regarding fascism. Then, Mr. Constitution discusses international development (USAID) and if Trump's handling and dismantling of that federal agency is constitutional and within the powers delegated to the President of the United States by the Constitution.
