India has the world's second highest number of people with diabetes - 74.9 million in 2021, according to the International Diabetes Atlas 2021.
In this episode of NCDs Matter: Decoding India's Silent Epidemic, we do a deep dive on Diabetes. Our public health expert for this episode is Dr RM Anjana, Managing Director of Dr Mohan’s Diabetes Specialities Centre and President of Madras Diabetes Research Foundation. She is part of the national ICMR-INDIAB Study, a major diabetes survey in India. We also speak with Anindita Banerjee, a Chennai resident who lives with diabetes and understand how she has learnt to manage the disease.
This podcast is produced by REACH, an India-based non-profit that works towards providing holistic care to people living with tuberculosis and non communicable diseases or NCDs.
