Kyra Hanemaaijer promoveert binnenkort aan de Erasmus Universiteit Rotterdam en doet onderzoek naar ongelijkheid en discriminatie. We bespreken haar onderzoek naar de invloed van verhoogde aandacht voor migratieachtergrond op strafrechtelijke uitkomsten. In deze eerste aflevering van het derde seizoen hoor je alles over het Nederlandse strafrechtssysteem en hoe gevoelig de uitspraken van rechters zijn voor gebeurtenissen van buitenaf.
Kyra heeft dit onderzoek uitgevoerd in samenwerking met Nadine Ketel (Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam) en Olivier Marie (Erasmus Universiteit Rotterdam).
