Mariët Bogaard promoveert aan de Universiteit Maastricht op de effecten van milieuvervuiling op de arbeidsmarkt. In deze aflevering bespreken we haar onderzoek naar hoe fijnstof het zoekgedrag van werkzoekenden beïnvloedt. Een slechte luchtkwaliteit zorgt voor een lager reserveringsloon; mensen zijn bereid om op slechte dagen dus een baan met een lager loon aan te nemen.
Mariët heeft dit onderzoek uitgevoerd in samenwerking met Steffen Künn, Juan Palacios en Nico Pestel (Universiteit Maastricht).
