Meer dan 80.000 mensen wachten momenteel op een behandeling in de geestelijke gezondheidszorg (ggz), wat voor velen met complexe psychische problemen betekent dat hun leven tijdelijk stil komt te staan. Wat zijn de gevolgen hiervan op de lange termijn op hun kansen op de arbeidsmarkt?
In de Nieuwe Economen podcast praten we hierover met Roger Prudon (University of Lancaster), gepromoveerd aan de Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. Lange wachtlijsten in de ggz hebben aanzienlijke gevolgen voor arbeidsmarktuitkomsten. Zo leidt een maand langere wachttijd tot twee procentpunt lagere kans op werk tot wel acht jaar na de start van de behandeling.

The Brothers Ortiz
The Brothers Ortiz is the story of two brothers–both successful, but in very different ways.
