Simon Lim puts the spotlight on renowned and celebrated photographer Russel Wong. Russel Wong has photographed many A-list celebrities including Jackie Chan, Michelle Yeoh, Chow Yun Fatt, Richard Gere, Tom Cruise, Aishwarya Rai, Ken Watanabe, Isabella Rossellini, Zhang Ziyi and Jet Li. He has even photographed other notable and well-respected figures of society including film director Ang Lee and the legendary Singapore leader Lee Kuan Yew.
You may recall that it was Russel Wong who shot the publicity images for such films as "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon", "Lust, Caution", "Hero" and "House of Flying Daggers". Russel will give you a peek of what goes on behind the scenes when working on such images. You will also get to know the day in the life of a photographer to create publicity images for a movie.
Besides doing excellent portrait photography, Russel Wong does amazingly beautiful and poetic landscape photography that is monocromatic. Russel shares about his landscape works in this interview.
