In today’s episode we are chatting with Stan Grant.
Stan is an international affairs editor for the ABC, a multi award winning current affairs host, author and adventurer.
He’s pretty much covered every type of important news story that you could think of from Stan natural disasters, to terrorist attacks, wars and political discourse.
But Stan came from very humble beginnings.
He grew up with a very transient life, moving around every few months and in poverty. He experienced a lot of violence and insecurity in his young years, as well as racism and displacement.
Stan seems to think that luck is what enabled him to become the success that he is, but I tend to think it has a bit more to do with his tenacity and ‘no excuses’ attitude.
In this chat we speak about Stan’s unique experiences growing up, his career and the paths that it led him down, and his family.
