Speaker 2 (00:58):
To create luxury tailored suits for just us girls. Now
we're finally more than halfway through winter, and I'm so
happy because I hate winter shoes. I find them hard
to style. I don't know what him to wear. I
just want to slide. I want something open that is easy.
But we need to keep our feet warm, so Erin
and I are going to chat about what shoes we're
wearing in winter, what shoes make a great capsule collection
(01:21):
when it comes to footwear, and how long to make
your pants if you're getting them taken up so they
go with every single pair of shoes. Eron, Welcome to
Nothing to wear. Thank you for coming all the way here.
Now listen, I ask new guests two general questions before
we get into the topic, So let's start with those.
Can you describe your own style in three words? And
what are those words and why?
Speaker 4 (01:40):
I'd probably say eclectic. I'd like to really pull references
from heaps of different places.
Speaker 2 (01:47):
And put them all to everyone outfit and put them.
Speaker 4 (01:51):
Or who I am that day. I would also say
self referential. For that reason, the outfit either speaks about
itself or I take my personal style very seriously, and
those things are really expressive of who I'm feeling that
day or what I need to be that day.
Speaker 2 (02:08):
That is a really good term that yes, can apply
to so many things like that.
Speaker 4 (02:13):
Yeah, I never had it and then tailored why it
would have to be right? It has to be. I
found out quite a few years ago that just tailored
pieces look really good on me. The structure everyone.
Speaker 2 (02:26):
Yeah, tailoring just gives a vibe. It doesn't have to
be a tailored suit. You don't have to be going
to an office, but just good tailoring.
Speaker 4 (02:34):
Yeah, even just like crisp collared shirt. That structure around
my face I think just really works instead of anything
too frillly.
Speaker 2 (02:43):
Oh yeah, I'm not a frill that's maybe have a
fill on the bottom, you're right around the face.
Speaker 1 (02:46):
Yeah, I love those all right.
Speaker 2 (02:49):
The theory that we believe that most women wear a
smaller portion of their wardrobe. So there's the ninety percent
that you love but you don't reach for all the time.
The ten percent you reach for all the time. What's
in your ten percent or.
Speaker 4 (03:01):
The day to day is like a long skirt and
a blazer, okay, And so I feel like that gives
me the core of getting everyone. And then I can
chuck on you know, snipes or boots or whatever.
Speaker 2 (03:13):
So it's a versatile kind of bass layer.
Speaker 4 (03:15):
Yes, absolutely, it's always kind of like a long or
a three quartered skirt and.
Speaker 1 (03:20):
You love a maxi skirt.
Speaker 4 (03:22):
Yeah, I'm really loving them at the moment. And then yeah,
just always putting on a blazer. It can be vintage,
it can be a little over do you think you
have don't make me calm, I don't expose to I mean,
it's your vibe, it's your fe Sure, I think you know.
I've got a few of my personal collection, but now
I have access to so many all the time.
Speaker 2 (03:42):
Well, it's dangerous and if people are watching on YouTube,
we did not both plan to wear checked blue.
Speaker 1 (03:48):
And like army greens. So let's get into the topic.
Speaker 2 (03:52):
We're going to talk about what is arguably the last
step in someone's process of getting ready, but possibly the
most important footwear shoes. I don't think I can think
of another word, but it's always compers scene. We're still
in the depths of winter, So what is your footwear situation?
And in a bigger picture kind of this this winter's
(04:13):
footwear trends.
Speaker 4 (04:15):
Yeah, I just got a pair of knee high boots.
Speaker 1 (04:19):
Are the ones you're wearing one of the.
Speaker 4 (04:20):
Ones I'm wearing. I'm really loving the clip.
Speaker 1 (04:23):
Chocolate animal is that? I mean it's not real.
Speaker 4 (04:26):
Croc No, it's like a faux cross.
Speaker 1 (04:27):
It's very cool.
Speaker 4 (04:29):
I wanted something with a little bit of depth and
interesting pattern. I'm wearing a lot of like that knee
high because, as I said, I wear long skirts and
I just don't want that ankle cut off.
Speaker 1 (04:41):
Interesting.
Speaker 4 (04:41):
And the row of flesh, yeah, when it's at an
awkward level. I love the row flesh. When it's a ballet.
Speaker 1 (04:48):
Flat, No, I know exactly what you mean.
Speaker 4 (04:51):
Yeah, but I just wanted to be a seamless line.
So this kind of comes off the back of I
would say, like motorcycle boots was the trend over the
last few years. Everyone's wearing those this winter. But the
low profile sneaker, you know, evolution from the Samba and
all the brands around that style is super popular at
(05:13):
the moment.
Speaker 2 (05:13):
So less about the chunky and more like the honest Suker, Tiger,
the Sumber, So they're like more the Tokyo's. Yeah, it
makes me feel like like kind of retro seventies sneaker vibe, Yeah,
instead of the chunky eighties dad sneaker.
Speaker 4 (05:26):
Yeah, I think seventies and I love to sit in
a reference of seventies. Anything like late sixties, early seventies
is really my vibe. So I'm loving that everything is
very like seventies coded at the moment. Yeah, even the
big sunglasses like the over oversized sunglasses that are kind
of orange tinted.
Speaker 1 (05:44):
Me too. It's so nice to see some color happening
in sunny's. Yeah. Not much of a color girl, but
I can do it on a small accessory.
Speaker 4 (05:50):
Yeah, that's good.
Speaker 2 (05:51):
What do you think is the most versatile option when
it comes to a winter shoe? Maybe firstly for yourself
and then just in general, because I hate winter.
Speaker 1 (05:59):
Shoes They're so hard. Yeah, I like summer shoes.
Speaker 4 (06:02):
I do like a summer shoe. I think I often
just wear all of my stuff pretty much all the time.
Speaker 1 (06:08):
Me too.
Speaker 2 (06:09):
But when I say that, it's like my birken stocks
with exercise socks to drop my son at school. It's
not intentional, it's not sheic. I'm just like I just
slides are easy.
Speaker 4 (06:17):
I would say my every day go to no matter
what is my loafer. Okay, I have a leather pair
of loafers, really good. I got them made in Portugal
and they are just perfect.
Speaker 1 (06:27):
Pocked black and you just wear them with everything.
Speaker 4 (06:30):
Classic pretty much, great arch support, white toe box. It's
just nice, beautiful.
Speaker 2 (06:36):
We often get I mean, I moderate the nothing to
Wear community group, and a lot of people say I
don't know how to wear loafers because I think they
think of it so literally as like what men would
wear with a suit. But I love loafers and I
think they're so versatile. So what would you wear them with.
Speaker 4 (06:51):
A tailored pair of trousers is a good one. I
always think that you have to look at the relationship
between the shoe and the hemline. Yes, and so I
actually think if you're getting into loafers and probably have
a thing about this during springtime, it's probably easier to
wear them with sock and like shorts or a skirm
(07:12):
something I love that.
Speaker 1 (07:14):
I love the look. I I can't.
Speaker 4 (07:16):
Do it, can't have legs out. Well, then you can
do it with a long skirt.
Speaker 1 (07:19):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (07:19):
I often do a loafer with a Maxi skirt or
even in winter try and get more out of my wardrobe.
I'll be wearing like a Maxi dress. It might be
like a pretty floral, but I'll put a big long
gray chunky knit and a loafer.
Speaker 4 (07:30):
Yeah, that's goods.
Speaker 2 (07:32):
And even I think like if you did like a
black legging, like a dressy legging or whatever where you
lu lemon if you want, and then a long blazer
and then your loafer and people just think they're like nice.
Speaker 4 (07:41):
Yeah, absolutely, I like that looks all them. People realize
they are good and like, if you want to do
a chunky loafer, you can. If you want to do
a slim sort of slide on loafer.
Speaker 2 (07:50):
I'm more of a slim classic. You know, it's got
a back on it. But I can't do that chunky
Prata esque loafer that has been everywhere. It feels too school,
which is kind of the vibe.
Speaker 4 (08:01):
I think. Yeah, for so many people, that is the
point the brat stole Yes school girl, that is kind
of their vibe.
Speaker 2 (08:07):
Talk to me about high heels because the footwear category
has had quite the revolution, and I think that covid
Lockdown had a lot to do with that. What are
you seeing in high heels in terms of what people
are wearing or are they wearing them? Are they kind
of over in that they'll never be as popular as
they were before.
Speaker 4 (08:23):
Maybe it's just my Instagram algorithm, but I'm seeing a
lot of women call the heel back.
Speaker 1 (08:31):
They want it back.
Speaker 4 (08:33):
They say, you need to before you go out, you
need to learn to walk in them.
Speaker 1 (08:39):
You know, you really need because the generation just hasn't
done it.
Speaker 4 (08:42):
They haven't done it, and like I have a you know,
my mum always jokes that I've been able to run
in hills before I could run.
Speaker 2 (08:49):
Yeah, it was like a ride of passage where I
kind of first started going out and you got your
license and you could drink and you were just.
Speaker 1 (08:55):
Like tottering around.
Speaker 2 (08:56):
But we work with a lot of young women here
and they just everyone's just like nah.
Speaker 4 (08:59):
Yeah, I can understand why I love it because I
love feeling like you walk differently when you're in a
per even if it's a small little kid.
Speaker 2 (09:09):
Ye to kit and heel you've got to block he
along those boots, which is very wearable. So maybe not
the six inch stilettos. I mean, I love the look.
Speaker 4 (09:17):
There's a time for it, yeah, but I just think
when you go to the oscars, you just need to
find the right moment. But I love kind of like
is it the fourth centimeter? Kind of like that mid
me too.
Speaker 2 (09:28):
I'm all about when I go on a website, now
I'm searching for a shoe of like you know, still
it like point or pump and then I'll do mead.
I always search to mid heere and I'm like, oh
my god, I'm such a grandma.
Speaker 1 (09:38):
But I'm just gonna though.
Speaker 4 (09:39):
I was getting to that age as well. But I
love a really comfortable heel again, wide toe box. I
love the I would call them thong heels, the ones
where they like look like the pair of Aviana thongs.
And then yes, but just with like a leather or something.
I don't really need it to be in rubber.
Speaker 3 (09:57):
No.
Speaker 1 (09:57):
Yeah, well you put a heel on us.
Speaker 4 (09:59):
And like, this generation has it so easy. They're like
Louis Biton's miss these are the most comfortable pair of shoes.
We had to suffer through painstaking heel It's true.
Speaker 2 (10:10):
And also back in the day, you know, oftentimes if
you were wearing a really high heel, you might be
going out somewhere. And when I was when I was young,
there was no uber, so you just try to flag
down taxis and run around the city.
Speaker 1 (10:20):
Now you just call the uber and you stand there, right,
it's door to door. Yeah, it's stored to door. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (10:25):
Look, I'm interested to see what happens with heels. I
think I'm so pro heel because I love them and
I wore them a lot when I was younger. But
I'm also very happy with the evolution of more stylish
flatter footwear. So now we've got more options whereas us like, oh,
flats depending on what you did, but now there's so
many phenomenal flats or kitten heels that you don't have
to do high high heels. Okay, So we love a
(10:55):
statement shoe, whether it's you know, a loud color or
a cowboy boot. What are your styling tips for a
brave shoe choice? Like, do we ever make our shoe
the center of the outfit?
Speaker 1 (11:06):
Attention?
Speaker 4 (11:07):
Oh? I'm always making the shoe the center if I
if I'm gonna wear. So my theory is always like,
let's start with the shoe so you can figure out
what you want who But it's huge, yeah, of course,
because you need to like check in with yourself. You
need to really figure out, like what are you doing
that day?
Speaker 2 (11:26):
That's true because you ask a lot from your footwear.
Is there a lot of walking? Are you sitting?
Speaker 4 (11:30):
Are you getting in the uber and going straight to
the location. It's so true, and so.
Speaker 1 (11:36):
How I want to get it so wrong all the
time I get it.
Speaker 4 (11:38):
I think it's a good opportunity to like check in
and see who you need to be that day. And
so often if I do just feel like maybe I'm
wearing a lower key out, like maybe it's all black.
Having a statement footwear is super easy to bring, like
just a piece of interest to the look. It's also
a good way of like trying out the trends, even
(12:00):
though I don't want trends to be around it.
Speaker 1 (12:02):
No, but I know what you mean.
Speaker 4 (12:03):
You know, it's like if you're investing in really good
quality pieces and you want them to be that in
neutrals or colors that really work for you, like your neutrals. Obviously,
an olive green is like a dark green is our neutral?
Speaker 1 (12:17):
Such a neutral. These are like a gray khaki.
Speaker 4 (12:20):
Their gorge I really love.
Speaker 2 (12:21):
They're actually very expensive and the toe has started to
feel off already. But I say very expensive, four hundred dollars,
which is very expensive.
Speaker 4 (12:27):
Okay, I want to get a lot out of it.
Speaker 1 (12:28):
Annoyed, I won't say anything about the brand.
Speaker 2 (12:31):
But yes, you want to invest in stuff that's not
going to be worn once or twice because it's too uncomfortable,
it's badly made, especially when it comes to footwear, because
of what we ask it to do.
Speaker 4 (12:40):
For sure, And like I, you know, I'm creating suits
for women who they're going to invest in these pieces.
They want to make them really versatile. So often we'll
do it in a neutral color. And so adding a
staple piece like a red shoe makes them feel very
like in the moment.
Speaker 2 (12:59):
So as part of your job and what you do,
would you consider the footwear in what you're doing?
Speaker 1 (13:04):
So do you say to her what shoes are we
wearing with this?
Speaker 4 (13:06):
Yeah? So we often call our sessions discovery sessions because
we're really trying to figure out, like what is your lifestyle?
Are you doing the morning run for school and then
going to meetings and between what's happening? And so I
will tailor the pants to what you often wear.
Speaker 1 (13:25):
Yeah, And that's so important with the feet for sure.
Speaker 4 (13:28):
And I will always tailor my wide leg long pants
to be shorter at the back. Smart because then I
can wear sneakers and it's not dragging on the floor.
And when I wear heels, they're still versatile. I don't
have to worry about it.
Speaker 2 (13:42):
That is the smartest because when I take pants to
be tailor because I'm not particularly tall, and gosh, tailor
is expensive.
Speaker 1 (13:49):
If you're buying an affordable with.
Speaker 2 (13:50):
Hair pants and you need to get them taken up anyway.
They go, I take my shoes and they're like, well,
what choosing I'm like, well, I don't know. I might
wear a high heel, I might wear a sneaker, and
can you kind of do in between. But it's such
a commitment to choose a length that's so steack.
Speaker 4 (14:00):
It's such a commitment to choose a length thing you
shouldn't have to. And I've found this technique that gives
you both because you don't want to drag you on
the bottom like the and I.
Speaker 1 (14:09):
Also just don't want to pigeonhole those pants.
Speaker 2 (14:12):
When we know now that you know wideleg pants, tailored
pants can be so versatile. They're not just dressy pants
or pants. You can wear them with sneakers or sandals.
So let's say someone listening is going to create a
capsule wardrobe for their shoes. So then on you know
the stuff that not everyone has to have all these
exact styles. But what do you think a kind of
the footwear staples that you can take us through life?
Speaker 4 (14:32):
Oh, really good question. I'd say going with something you
definitely need a sneaker.
Speaker 2 (14:39):
And that's separate to like your gym sneakers, Like if
you exercise, you mean like a lifestyle sneaker, yes, a trainer.
Speaker 4 (14:44):
Yes, a trainer, a lifestyle sneaker, and that can be
low profile or chunky, it doesn't matter. And then I'd
have something a little bit more dressier, and that can
be a loafer, a Mary Jane, a ballet flat, yes,
anything like.
Speaker 2 (14:58):
You com'fy footwear. That's the equivalent of a sneaker, but
more dressy.
Speaker 4 (15:02):
Absolutely. I would always when you're talking about boots, you
really need to look at the hemlines.
Speaker 1 (15:09):
I can't do boots.
Speaker 2 (15:10):
I mean I can occasionally, but agreed, I don't know
how to lay them.
Speaker 4 (15:14):
So would you go with a near high boot, yeah,
compared to an ankle.
Speaker 2 (15:19):
Boot maybe, But I don't really wear short things I
wear like maxiskirts or jeans, So what kind of boot
do I wear?
Speaker 4 (15:27):
I would probably go You would rather have something underneath longer, Yeah, underneath.
Speaker 1 (15:32):
Maybe That's where I'm going wrong.
Speaker 2 (15:33):
I think also, you know, touching on sandals, agreed, Like
I think you need like maybe a classic black pear
and then something neutraally like a tanny creamy even a white.
Speaker 1 (15:43):
Because they just go with everything.
Speaker 4 (15:44):
See, I do the exact opposite. I always think that
if it doesn't go with anything, it kind of goes
with everything.
Speaker 2 (15:50):
Well, I agree, but this is the capsual staples, so
this is then we can go buy our fun little treats.
Like I just wore burgundy sandals even though it's they're
dead of winter. But I guess for what I'm my
capsule would be some neutrally stuff. I don't know, but
I do love a colored shoe and a statement shoe,
but I wouldn't put them in my capsule.
Speaker 4 (16:08):
I'm a very vibr I I dress very like bright colors,
and I like to have my accessories really bright. And
so even if I'm going like a lot of Navies,
blacks and grays.
Speaker 1 (16:20):
Like, what would you do a purple?
Speaker 4 (16:21):
I do bright green.
Speaker 1 (16:23):
Yeah, I like bread bright green.
Speaker 4 (16:25):
I haven't done a lot of burgundy, even though this
is the time to buy burgundy.
Speaker 1 (16:29):
You don't have to that rle, it's not done, but
it is everywhere.
Speaker 2 (16:33):
So maybe, like I wear a lot of burgundy too,
because it's good for our colors exactly, So I don't
think I necessarily need it in the footwear.
Speaker 4 (16:40):
But I do wear Yeah, I've got some blacks and
some neutrals. Okay, but yeah, I love it. I love
a statement green shoes.
Speaker 2 (16:47):
I just love all shoes, even if I don't wear them,
I just want to look at them and think they're pretty.
So on that because you say you love fun shoes,
statement shoes, So you'd be across the wrong shoe theory.
Speaker 4 (16:57):
Oh for sure.
Speaker 2 (16:58):
So can you explain to the listeners what that is
and how do you use that theory or process to
get dressed?
Speaker 4 (17:04):
Yeah? Absolutely, the wrong shoe theory is going to be
picking something that just doesn't quite feel like it goes
with the overall theme or general esthetic that you're doing
and the rest of your outfit, and it creates tension.
And so I really like the wrong shoe theory. Well,
the tension because it's adding like a level of complexity.
(17:28):
I always like to think about, if I'm bringing in
something that really is wrong, it doesn't really make sense
to the rest of the outfit, how can I reference it?
And so, like, I have a pair of shoes that
are not only like wrong shoe, they're also relatively ugly
by all means. They are the Nike Tabby's, you know,
the ones with the toka and they're in camouflage.
Speaker 2 (17:51):
Majella started, so Mason Martin Margiela started its shoe that
looks like a pousehold or something. It's got that line, yeah,
between like a thong but in a close gin shoe.
Speaker 3 (18:02):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (18:02):
So the Tabby is originally a Japanese oh there you
go shoe. It's I believe it was more like a
working shoe. And so in Japan there's heaps of options,
options and lots of little buyers. Of course, Mochella has
made it so popular and expensive. I've had the great
(18:22):
quality and they really did last.
Speaker 2 (18:24):
I've tried them on several times, but I'm not sold yet.
Speaker 4 (18:28):
Yeah, I've recently bought an Etsy brand that I'm really
loving so I could try it out. Obsessed with them.
Speaker 1 (18:36):
Okay, that's a good way to do it, and it's
a good spot to do that.
Speaker 4 (18:39):
Yeah, independent sellers. So when I wear my camo colored
sneaker tabbys, I always try and parrot back with like
maybe a brooch that looks like an army number.
Speaker 1 (18:54):
So there's another element that pulls it together.
Speaker 4 (18:57):
Maybe the top is like green camera like not camera,
but army.
Speaker 1 (19:02):
Green green like a khaki cando.
Speaker 4 (19:04):
Yeah, and so like that structured military look, and I'll
wear it with a long, slowly black skull.
Speaker 1 (19:10):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, I love it.
Speaker 2 (19:12):
See me.
Speaker 1 (19:12):
But yes, as Allen st Yeah, when I.
Speaker 2 (19:15):
Try and do the wrong shoe theory, because you were
saying how oftentimes you started the shoe, I don't. But
I'll try and leave myself enough time. And this is
especially I guess if I'm going somewhere nice on the weekends,
I'll put on the outfit. Then I'll get out five
pairs of shoes and I'll quickly just try them all on,
because there's always a pair of shoes that you.
Speaker 1 (19:30):
Know go in your head.
Speaker 2 (19:32):
But the wrong shoe theory is add interest in quirk
by wearing not something that's ugly in mismatch, but something
that would technically not be thought of.
Speaker 1 (19:39):
It's not.
Speaker 2 (19:41):
So we are chatting in the depths of winter, but
spring is right around the corner. So do you have
any little sort of forecast of what we're going to
be wearing on our feet in the spring.
Speaker 4 (19:49):
Yeah. Well, I've been looking at the runways that are
happening in Europe at the moment, and a lot of
the like leather sandals, the Indian style sandals, I think,
just like thongs, but not in like the haavianas. We're
going to be doing like a leather or like a
dress style.
Speaker 1 (20:05):
So like that simple, like the rose A song that
was that's back.
Speaker 4 (20:09):
Again, I think. So that's what I'm seeing everywhere. I'm seeing,
you know, everyone that's in the European summer at the moment.
They Yeah, I'm seeing a lot of that. So I
love it because I already have a.
Speaker 1 (20:19):
Pair of I was gonna say, if you've already read it,
I'm prepared.
Speaker 2 (20:23):
But if you're shopping now, you know, particularly if you're
like there's some websites that have got like when Overseas
goes on, soal they're going to we're selling their summer.
Speaker 1 (20:31):
Grab it because we're going to be wearing it.
Speaker 4 (20:33):
Oh yeah, they're like Christmas boxing days. Tales will be
definitely where we can prepare for our summer. Yes, yeah,
that's what I'm seeing a lot of at the moment.
Speaker 1 (20:44):
Okay, love it.
Speaker 3 (20:45):
Simple, it's very expensive, how wonder.
Speaker 2 (21:03):
Okay, Bougie and Budget Winter Footwear Edition. I want you
to start with your budget please.
Speaker 4 (21:09):
Yeah, my budget I'm loving the Rabosy Mary Jane Tabby's
I got love Etsy. They're sixty nine dollars.
Speaker 1 (21:17):
Oh my god.
Speaker 4 (21:17):
Yeah, I thought that was a really good They're not
real go.
Speaker 1 (21:21):
A good way to practice and see if you like to.
Speaker 4 (21:23):
See if you like it. There's a few that are
real leather and the different price points. I like their
whole collection. I was specifically after the Tabo's.
Speaker 1 (21:31):
What color did you get?
Speaker 4 (21:32):
I just got black?
Speaker 2 (21:32):
Okay, very simple shape with the weird toe thing is
already quite a statement. So it's good to start with black.
Speaker 4 (21:40):
Yes, there are statement piece without being too much of
a statement.
Speaker 1 (21:43):
Yeah, not visually colored. Yeah, okay, that's your budget.
Speaker 2 (21:45):
Well, my Bougie and budget are similar prices and they're
not outrageous, but they're the two winter styles I wear
the most. So I'll start with my budget because it's
ten dollars cheaper.
Speaker 1 (21:55):
And this.
Speaker 2 (21:55):
I've got this Nine West pump. But I have got
a version of this pump from every brand, from every
color ever, from Jimmy Chwo, Tibets, I've got a lot
of them. So I love the Nine West mailing pumps.
It's a medium here, real Swede. You need to get
real Swede in these guys, and look at the greens.
It comes in black, navy, red, and two types of green.
(22:17):
They are the hardest swearing pump ever, and Swede makes
them look expensive, whereas if you get them even in
a real leather, they.
Speaker 1 (22:24):
Can just look a bit. I don't know. I love them.
Speaker 2 (22:27):
So I've got the black and navy in those. I've
got a green in another brand. I've got a liec.
I can't tell you how many Swede pumps I've got. Okay,
because you can wear them to your first you can
wear them with cute shorts and like a big blazer
like a Swede pump is actually so versatile. My favorite
person in the whole world, Rosy Huntington Whitey, wears a
pump all the time.
Speaker 1 (22:46):
But she does that high. I do that high and
I can run for the bus in them.
Speaker 4 (22:50):
Perfect. You can wear them everywhere, you can dress something.
Speaker 1 (22:53):
It would have heard them to the gym, but I
don't go to the gym.
Speaker 2 (22:55):
Other than that, I'm good, all right, bougie, what's your
fancy winter shoe?
Speaker 4 (22:59):
This is my all year, but I've only recently just
got it. Resold it is the deal, sing back the
sling back. I think it's just like a nice again
point is it a heel, it's not a hill. I
went with the flat. It's more versatile. Yes, because I'm
wearing you know, if I'm wearing jeans. I just bought
a pair of the tapered jean.
Speaker 1 (23:20):
Love a barrel jean. Yeah, so good with that style
of shoe.
Speaker 4 (23:23):
Yes, because it cuts off a little bit too short
than what I'm used to, so I'm really enjoying.
Speaker 1 (23:29):
Okay, and what color have you got in that? Just
black with the white, the very classic, that ribbony kind.
Speaker 4 (23:34):
Yeah, and that's what I always think that a black shoe,
no matter kind of like what the style is, that
is a winter shoe.
Speaker 1 (23:40):
I agree, yeah yeah.
Speaker 2 (23:41):
And also if you're going to invest in that kind
of price, black is so clever. Yeah yeah, like we
do love a colored shoe, but black, that would that
would get a spot in your kind of capsule I reckoning.
Speaker 4 (23:51):
Yes, it's truly timeless.
Speaker 2 (23:53):
Yes, Okay, mine are the Malini Carli cream leather Loafers
one hundred and nineteen nine ninety five. I love a
cream loafer. I have too many pairs of cream loafers.
I don't have these ones.
Speaker 1 (24:04):
I have the Tony.
Speaker 2 (24:05):
Bianco ones that are very similar. Both of them are
inspired by the Saint Laurent loafers. I tried these on
after look there's much of a muchness. But these ones
are really great in that I don't like anything because
I've got big feet and I just I don't know.
I don't like anything too visually chunky on my feet,
so I will wear a lighter colored loafer with jeans.
(24:25):
Navy camel, even black looks cool like it looks wrong
shoe theory. I love my white loafers. Sometimes they look
like a retirement village golfer.
Speaker 4 (24:34):
It's gonna say it's very seven years so I love.
Speaker 2 (24:36):
It's just cool, and I honestly like I've got some
beautiful black loafers that are quite a few seasons old
and quite expensive.
Speaker 1 (24:42):
I haven't reached from this winter because I'm all about
the cream.
Speaker 4 (24:45):
It's very eclectic, Granpa.
Speaker 1 (24:46):
Of you, I love you, ieel comfortable.
Speaker 2 (24:48):
So the Mileni ones are great, but so are the
Tony Bianco. There's a lot and also some of those
sale like the end of winter sales is a great
time to get quality footwear for next season.
Speaker 4 (24:58):
Yeah to prap to have a little.
Speaker 1 (25:00):
More, especially your classic.
Speaker 4 (25:02):
That one will take you through to spring as well. Forever, yeah, forever.
Speaker 1 (25:07):
Thank you. That was fascinating.
Speaker 2 (25:08):
I'm going to all my new pants all my old
pants in a new way.
Speaker 1 (25:12):
So thank you for joining me.
Speaker 4 (25:13):
Thank you for having meat, thank.
