משה ברדה, לי נוף ואמיר טראו דיברו על הדבר שאי אפשר להתעלם ממנו יותר היעדר הכישרון בסגל הצהוב. מכבי מתקשה לייצר, מתקשה לייצר יתרון, ובעיקר מתקשה לגמור משחקים. גם כשמכבי מובילה, משהו נתקע במאני-טיים. אין קילר אינסטינקט, אין את השחקן הזה שייקח את הכדור ויגיד: “זה שלי”. הצהובים מחפשים את ה”רוצח” שלהם והוא פשוט לא שם.
בצד החיובי, אי אפשר שלא לציין את רומן סורקין ותמיר בלאט, שסיפקו ערב איכותי וניסו להחזיק את מכבי במשחק כמעט לבדם.
אבל לצד זה, הגיע הסטטיסטיקה שהכי מספרת את הסיפור: שחקני החיזוק הזרים של מכבי תרמו יחד 34 נקודות בלבד מספר שלא מספיק לנצח משחק גדול, בטח לא דרבי. מנגד, הזרים של הפועל סיפקו 79 נקודות, פער בלתי נתפס שממחיש את עומק הפער בין הקבוצות בערב הזה.
