De strijd om de kiezer: restrictiever migratiebeleid?
Alle grote partijen tonen zich strenger op migratie om kiezers bij de AfD weg te trekken. Merz stelde voor om ontwikkelingshulp aan Afghanistan in te zetten als drukmiddel om afgewezen asielzoekers terug te sturen.
Sahra Wagenknecht en Heide Reichinnek: de stemmen van uiterst links
Sahra Wagenknecht, ooit boegbeeld van Die Linke, leidt nu haar eigen partij BSW en is sterk in Oost-Duitsland. Haar standpunten, vooral over energie en Rusland, maken haar tot een controversiële maar invloedrijke speler.
Heide Reichinnek (Die Linke) verraste velen met haar felle debatstijl en doordachte sociale media-aanpak. Die Linke hoopt dankzij haar en het nieuwe partijbestuur de kiesdrempel te halen.
Peilingen: weinig beweging, grote onzekerheid
De peilingen laten weinig verschuivingen zien. Friedrich Merz blijft de populairste kandidaat, vooral onder ouderen. Alice Weidel scoort bij jongeren. Opvallend: 30% van de kiezers is nog steeds zwevend.
