In this week's episode of Political Contessa, Jennifer welcomes Susanne Conley, a Republican candidate for the Second Barnstable District in Massachusetts. Susanne shares her concerns about the impact of wind turbines off the coast of Cape Cod and discusses the challenges of campaigning in a tourist destination. She also touches on issues such as illegal immigration, law and order, and the upcoming election in Massachusetts.
Susanne Conley is a first-time candidate for the Second Barnstable District in Massachusetts. She decided to run for office because she was frustrated with the current representative's lack of attention to citizens' concerns, particularly regarding a company's plan to install electrical cables and infrastructure in Cape Cod, which could damage the environment and drinking water. Susanne is deeply involved in opposing this project, which could lead to the installation of 2,500 wind turbines off the Cape Cod coast, raising environmental and safety concerns.
"They're coming to this country because it's a great country, it's a land of opportunity.
There are freedoms here, but these leftists who welcome them, at the same time,
are trying to install the kind of government they are fleeing from.
That irony doesn't escape me at all."
~Susanne Conley
