Speaker 1 (00:03):
Welcome into the Ravens Press Pass podcast. It is Thursday,
September eighteenth. The Ravens are gearing up for a Monday
night football game at M and T Banks Stadium coming
up next week. They're gonna play the Detroit Lions in
that game. And after practice today we had a chance
to hear from head coach John Harball.
Speaker 2 (00:21):
Okay, good to see everybody here. Appreciate you being out.
Beautiful day, hot day, good practice, tough practice, very physical practice,
trying to get ready to play very good Detroit Lions
team on Monday night at our stadium.
Speaker 3 (00:33):
So what questions you have mentioned the Lions the offense
last week?
Speaker 4 (00:40):
What do you feel about kind of the keys to
the high.
Speaker 5 (00:42):
Throwing gun game.
Speaker 2 (00:43):
Well, I mean they've got, first of got a nice,
nice system they've been running for a few years now.
Johnny Morton, the new offensive coordinator, has been there, takes
it over, been around for a long time. Seems like
he's got his fingerprints on it as well. But it's uh,
it's it's along the same line. So they've got continuity
and then a lot of good players, a lot of
players who are playing well.
Speaker 6 (01:06):
Isaiah likely back in today's gonna be aboard this team action.
Speaker 3 (01:13):
Yeah, you just have to be ready to play in
the game. Yeah, I know, what is what does.
Speaker 6 (01:19):
The Troite do well to stress defenders in the middle
of the field that offense.
Speaker 3 (01:22):
Yeah, they do.
Speaker 2 (01:23):
They throw in the middle of the field a bunch.
I mean, that's kind of their thing. It's middle of
the field kind of you know, crossing routes and breaking
routes high low kind of combos when they drop back,
a lot of play action pass. Uh, it's it's a rhythm,
play action passing attack. He kind of gets it on time,
but it's not a ball out immediately because it's off
of play action and it's all set up by a
really good run game with two really good backs and
good offensive lines. So, uh, they've got a lot of
(01:45):
good ideas in there. But you get those linebackers and
people playing up a little bit for the run and
then you throw it in behind them. Basically, it's it's
it's good Stuff's.
Speaker 7 (01:54):
Going back to that game with years ago.
Speaker 2 (01:58):
The team that they have are compared with that game
or well, Yeah, there's a lot of similarities. I mean,
you know, it's the same head coach and they've got
the same kind of philosophy and both sides of the ball,
the schemes are similar, but they're not the same. We're
not the same. You go back and you watch the
games and there's a lot of things that look the
same with a lot of things that look different. So
it's two years ago, you know, so it's been a while.
Speaker 4 (02:20):
John, do you think we're still gonna have time of
the year where teams are still kind of figuring out
their identity, figuring out what type of teams they want
to be this year?
Speaker 3 (02:30):
I don't know.
Speaker 2 (02:31):
I mean, it's kind of an esoteric, existential kind of question.
You know, it's a it's a real deep question, and
I'm sure everybody's just trying to find and figure out
what they do best, you know, and in simple football terms, you.
Speaker 3 (02:43):
Know, what are we capable of doing?
Speaker 2 (02:45):
Who are going against and you're trying to get to
the next week and play your best football the next week.
You know the identity and you know those big questions,
those are questions that are important because those are those
are decisions. You make decisions based on what players you're
gonna run, what what calls you're gonna but it also
has to do with your opponent too, so it's pretty practic.
It's pretty practical too, John the offensive.
Speaker 6 (03:07):
Line with with Daniel Phileylee. What have you seen that
you like from him?
Speaker 2 (03:14):
Daniel full Lealley? What do I like about Daniel Phillleay.
I like the fact that he's he's a big, strong guy,
moves his feet well, he bends, He's getting better at
using his hands. I think he's been doing a real
good job in pass protection for the most part. Run
blocking has been good, but you know, he's to be
more consistent in both areas. I think what you're asking
me is I just give you the direct answer. I mean,
(03:34):
he's had some bad plays that you're talking about probably
you know that haven't looked great. But he's a good
football player, you know, and he's getting better. He's young,
and hopefully he'll continue to improve. That's what we're hoping for.
I know one thing, we're coaching him up really hard
every day and we expect him to go out there
and play, you know, his best football game on Monday night,
and that's what he's going to try to do.
Speaker 8 (03:53):
Pay receptions this year.
Speaker 3 (03:54):
He's really throwing a lot of interships throughout his career,
is it when you walk? Is it more than justice
decision making?
Speaker 8 (04:00):
Is it more than than that that goes into throwing
a lot.
Speaker 3 (04:03):
Of Well, that's a good question.
Speaker 2 (04:05):
I mean, you know another deep question, you know football
question that runs deep. You know, why doesn't Lamar throw interceptions?
He's a smart player. I mean you start with that,
he sees the field really well. You know, I think
he's I think he's a disciplined player in the sense
that he just doesn't throw the ball blindly into areas.
You know, he wants to see what he's got. That's
what I think probably is the main thing. I think
(04:27):
he sees the field well, and he processes the game
really well, and so he doesn't get fooled too often.
You know, he's not throwing it right into people too often,
which is you know, I mean, that's tough. I mean,
you see that happens all the time, but you don't
see it happen too often with Lamar. So just part
of being a really good a really good quarterback.
Speaker 3 (04:45):
You and others have talked about Kavis Robinson and his
work ethic.
Speaker 2 (04:49):
Never miss in the session, a whit session of meeting
and practice or whatever.
Speaker 3 (04:54):
Over the time you've had.
Speaker 5 (04:55):
What is most impressed about him? Where is it that?
Speaker 2 (04:57):
Well, just from a football standpoint, he's really Davis is
very physical. You know, he's a physical player off the edge.
You need a heavy handed edge players in this league,
and he is that. You know, he's about two hundred
and seventy two hundred and seventy five pounds. He's lengthy,
so so he plays the edge with strength and power.
Starts with the run, but also that's how he rushes,
and then he runs to the ball.
Speaker 3 (05:17):
I mean he runs to the ball. And we like
that too.
Speaker 7 (05:19):
John Rarety here at home Monday night game, what do
you like your twin most?
Speaker 3 (05:26):
Having those money that keeps well. I mean, yeah, you
enjoy the atmosphere.
Speaker 2 (05:30):
It's tough to play on the road at Monday night,
you know, it's it's always exciting. You know, we've done
pretty well on the road on Monday night. You know
we've got a pretty good record. But the home games
are you know, you got your crowd. That's really what
it boils down to. You've got your crowd, and I
mean I hope they're out there. I expect him to
be out there like they always are and be really
into it and be loud, really make it tough. The
lines do a lot of communicating at the line. They
(05:50):
do a lot of communicating on offense. They try to
get in the right play, try to move you around
and things like that, and our defense is gonna have
to cope with that as well.
Speaker 3 (05:58):
But I'd like for it to be tough on to
do that.
Speaker 5 (06:03):
John.
Speaker 9 (06:04):
We talked to Roger roseen Garth yesterday and he was
talking about the run game from last week against the Browns.
Speaker 3 (06:10):
Or were some of the things he said? A lot
of it was before the staff.
Speaker 5 (06:14):
Some of the adjustments and stuff.
Speaker 3 (06:15):
Is that a communication thing?
Speaker 5 (06:16):
How about you play down?
Speaker 2 (06:18):
Yeah, yeah, sure, that's a big part of it. It's
all that, you know, and it's just it's doing the
things the right way and from a is anywhere, from
technique to assignment, you know. And then you're going against
the defense that's charged up to stop the run. So
you got to be a little quicker with what you do.
You know, you can't get can't get beat to the punch,
you can't get beat.
Speaker 3 (06:36):
To the point.
Speaker 2 (06:36):
And we did that a few times and when the
runs didn't look good, that's basically what happened. You know
two years ago you talked to postgame after that line
team said they were trying to cage rush you guys,
but you guys.
Speaker 3 (06:50):
At a really good job, even more staying.
Speaker 5 (06:52):
But he kills the place so farlier, not really trying
to work and worn too much. Is there anything that's
maybe different or than the average family? You know what
is different?
Speaker 3 (07:02):
Like what makes a makeag Russ difficult? It's not going
to take good to them?
Speaker 2 (07:06):
Well, it depends how physical it is. You know, if
it's physical and it collapses the pocket, then it's a challenged.
You know, if it doesn't collapse the pocket, then it's
not a problem. So I think they have some physical rushers.
You know, they got number ninety seven, it's pretty good,
you know, say the least and number ninety two he's
real good too. So they got two strong guys off
the edge and they're inside guys. Are a powerful inside guys.
So I've got to make sure that the pocket doesn't
(07:26):
get clasped. But I don't expect him to strictly do that.
I mean, they bring a lot of blitzes, especially on
third and medium, and then the first and second down
they'll bring the run blitzes. And uh and uh and
and and they got good rushers, So we're gonna have
to We're gonna have our hands full, but we're capable
of We just got to do a good job.
Speaker 4 (07:42):
John, you didn't see named Wiggans out here today. I
know on Monday, I thought he was okay. Is it
that still the case?
Speaker 3 (07:48):
Is he okay?
Speaker 8 (07:49):
Uh?
Speaker 3 (07:49):
He's generally okay. Yeah he didn't.
Speaker 2 (07:51):
He wasn't good enough to practice today though, so hopefully
it'll be good enough to practice tomorrow. Okay, great, Thanks.
Speaker 5 (08:00):
Well.
Speaker 1 (08:00):
Else I heard from quarterback Lamar Jackson.
Speaker 8 (08:05):
Yop the more another Monday night game where growing up
homents for ever to grow up did?
Speaker 7 (08:10):
Were you uh one kids that would stay up late
and try to watch Monday Night?
Speaker 9 (08:13):
Uh?
Speaker 8 (08:14):
Among n.
Speaker 10 (08:17):
I was trying to play the game, tryna uh imitate
what those guys was doing, if anything, But my mom
used to make me go to sleep cause I had school,
So nah, not really, Lamar.
Speaker 7 (08:30):
This team plays well in the prime time.
Speaker 6 (08:31):
Some of your best numbers have come on Monday night.
Speaker 11 (08:34):
What is it kind of just about getting that stage
that the level play tends.
Speaker 10 (08:38):
To rise with the uh probably the extra rast day,
I'll say that probably the extra rest day, extra film. Uh,
get a get a good uh feel uh for what
who we're playing against, and go from there.
Speaker 9 (08:53):
More.
Speaker 5 (08:54):
Now, the uh, the NFL's grown since you were a kid.
Speaker 3 (08:56):
Monday night, Thursday night, Sunday night.
Speaker 5 (08:59):
You have a proper.
Speaker 8 (09:01):
In the giving in the given day, I'll be ready good.
Speaker 9 (09:06):
More.
Speaker 3 (09:07):
Are you aware how well do you have played on
Monday Night?
Speaker 8 (09:10):
I mean you generally played well every night, but on
Monday Night in particular.
Speaker 3 (09:14):
Have are you aware of your numbers?
Speaker 11 (09:16):
Nah?
Speaker 10 (09:16):
If anything, I try to keep it going. If I
am playing well, I don't. I don't pay attention to it.
Speaker 9 (09:23):
More.
Speaker 10 (09:23):
How nice is to have Isay a likely back out there?
Speaker 2 (09:25):
Just how excited are you for what he's able to
get back out on the field for a game season?
Speaker 5 (09:29):
Uh?
Speaker 3 (09:29):
Great?
Speaker 10 (09:30):
You know we have great guys who playing right now,
you know, and another great player to be at it
whenever that time is, it's gonna it's gonna be great
looking forward to it.
Speaker 9 (09:39):
What do you recall about the lines or they It
was just a few years ago.
Speaker 3 (09:42):
That you played m Yeah two years ago.
Speaker 8 (09:43):
Uh.
Speaker 10 (09:45):
Oh, guys was flying around, you know, watching 'em on THEIM,
just flying around.
Speaker 8 (09:48):
But that game really up blur Now you know that
was that was?
Speaker 6 (09:52):
Well?
Speaker 10 (09:52):
Was it like in the middle of the season, like
you know, we came back from London played those guys
really up blur.
Speaker 8 (09:57):
Right, Nah, I don't know, my I know they were
flying around. It was like they had a.
Speaker 10 (10:02):
Uh hoigh power offense, high power defense at the time.
So I expect that team to still be the same, really, Lamar.
Speaker 3 (10:10):
You have Cleveland.
Speaker 7 (10:11):
The run game here was held in a way that
it has not been held very often.
Speaker 3 (10:15):
In your time here.
Speaker 2 (10:16):
What a w What do you think was it was
that of a defensive playlank defense or.
Speaker 6 (10:20):
What can be different this week?
Speaker 9 (10:22):
Uh?
Speaker 10 (10:23):
You know, we just gotta execute better, uh and shout
out I to Cleveland defense. They did a pretty good job.
I could tell they. Uh the game plan was to
start to run, but we gotta done other ways a
more uh.
Speaker 9 (10:35):
ROTI Roseen Garden says yesterday, but talking about the run
game last week, so that there can be things that
they improved it for the snap how much of them
that and some of the pretty strap adjustments is sort
of your responsibility can look at over everything.
Speaker 10 (10:50):
Nah, you probably sound like they're calls making that cor
uh calls faster and stuff like that. That's that's not me.
Speaker 5 (10:57):
Why that's why I'm asking.
Speaker 1 (10:59):
No, no, Uh, there's been a lot of sass that
you plot up in your career.
Speaker 5 (11:04):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (11:04):
Right now you are the leader in an a history
in in passerat all the time in your career.
Speaker 11 (11:11):
What does that?
Speaker 5 (11:12):
What does that?
Speaker 8 (11:13):
A t mmm? Just trying to win? Uh. I don't
pay attention to it.
Speaker 10 (11:20):
Only way I'll find out if somebody posted or something,
I'm tacked in it and I mess around and see it.
But other than that, I'm not looking for it. You know,
I'm tryna win games. So that's how that matter to me.
Speaker 6 (11:28):
Really are you know your offensive line?
Speaker 5 (11:33):
And uh?
Speaker 6 (11:33):
You know that Daniel Filele sometimes gets a lot of
cres on on social media. I know you've you've dealt
with that kind of thing. What what would people maybe
not understand about in this as a blocker in terms
of when you're out there and.
Speaker 5 (11:46):
And what she's doing for you.
Speaker 10 (11:49):
I mean, he's a NFL guard. Every position in the
NFL is hard to play. You know, it's easy to
just watch and and tell somebody you should be doing this.
You know, it's easy to the wrecks some one but
it's hard to do, you know, So I'll leave it
at that.
Speaker 2 (12:03):
Hell waa, how would you describe your emotion or feelings
when you run out.
Speaker 6 (12:06):
Of tunnel for a night game.
Speaker 8 (12:09):
I'm ready to go at at at the Bank.
Speaker 10 (12:11):
Of course, I'm ready to go, you know, whenever I
come out to Ton or not just Monday night. You know,
I'm always ready to play, especially in our stadium, you know,
be ready to don't matter what stadium. I'm not gonna
lie lie, I'm just ready, might not be pumped up.
Speaker 3 (12:23):
It's football.
Speaker 8 (12:23):
I love it. I'm ready regardless.
Speaker 7 (12:26):
Where when you go against and we need pass strussure
of Garrett last week and Countryton this week?
Speaker 3 (12:31):
Do you always have sort of.
Speaker 7 (12:32):
An extra sense of where they're lined up on every
play or do you.
Speaker 3 (12:36):
Not really pick up it that way?
Speaker 10 (12:37):
Absolutely, I gotta know where those guys are. I gotta
respect those type of players. You know, those guys get
after it. Once they get to going, it's sometimes it's
hard to stop 'em, you know. So it's I got
god to have a odd clue where those guys are.
Speaker 9 (12:51):
When when do you kind of deal with those pass offers?
How big is it to have some of those undersized
blockers like Justice so tireless do a chip from a
miles how how how essential is it for those guys
that take a piece.
Speaker 5 (13:04):
Of that that to keep you safe?
Speaker 10 (13:06):
Shut out to Scott Man though sh Scott Elliott, I
uh s strength and condition to coach, Uh, he'd be
having those guys lifting. So I know those guys gonna
do their job. Man, get a chip and and get
out on the rock.
Speaker 6 (13:18):
Tamaras him.
Speaker 9 (13:20):
They booked at him like one of the Browns players
trying to twistrain or something. Sometimes is that case or
is it big week one?
Speaker 8 (13:28):
I don't know. I don't know. I can't call it.
Y'all seen that, you seen it?
Speaker 10 (13:35):
I don't know.
Speaker 8 (13:35):
S I ain't shit. I need to watch them and see.
Speaker 3 (13:40):
Okay, thank you, appreciate y'all.
Speaker 1 (13:45):
Next we heard from a safety Kyle Hamilton.
Speaker 4 (13:50):
I don't we watched them an opponent, but no fifty
two points in the fifth week?
Speaker 3 (13:55):
What what jumps out?
Speaker 5 (13:58):
Yeah?
Speaker 11 (13:59):
They g they Uh they have one of the best
running back doers in the league. So I think they
start off with just getting those guys going, and uh deservedly.
So those guys are talented and lines talented and then
they set up their passing games just through play action
and stuff like that. So when you're watching from a
defensive perspective, obviously you see the big picture of fifty
two points. But I think the Bears just had some
(14:19):
miscues here and there in the back end that led
to that. But you know, it's a different week, and
you know it's one week life and people were talking
crazy about us week one, and now they want to
sing our praisers this week two, and we really don't
carry the way.
Speaker 5 (14:32):
It's up to us the week three. Do we need
to do for ourselves?
Speaker 2 (14:35):
How do you try to.
Speaker 6 (14:36):
Keep that need to heal way or was ever going
your better game?
Speaker 5 (14:40):
Yeah, I mean you really have no choice.
Speaker 11 (14:42):
Honestly, in this league, it's every single team has a
chance to beat every single team. There's talented guys and
every single week. So no matter how good or bad
you did the previous week, you can't carry that into
the next. Maybe you take stuff you did well and
correct stuff you did poorly, but at the same time,
you got to reinvent yourself every week. So it's up
(15:03):
to us as a defense do that, and I'm sure
we will, and I'm excited for the opportunity.
Speaker 3 (15:09):
A lot of people call rops.
Speaker 9 (15:12):
His best game as a raven, the way effect wants drimage,
tackling kind of line. What did you kind of see
how to that performance from him?
Speaker 11 (15:20):
And you know, how do you feel how.
Speaker 9 (15:24):
Central is that level given you know where the Lions
like to attack right over the field.
Speaker 5 (15:29):
Yeah, it's huge, and it's huge every week.
Speaker 11 (15:31):
I mean, those are the easiest throws and easiest runs
you'll have when they just hit up the middle and
you just.
Speaker 5 (15:36):
Throw it right over the ball.
Speaker 11 (15:37):
But having somebody like Roquan there who can not only
guid the defense and lead us, but also make plays
in between the snap and stuff like that. And I
think last week, just for me personally, it was nothing
out of the ordinary for Roque, That's just that's what
everybody expects out of them every game. And you know,
I think we get that most of the time. And
(15:57):
stats may say one thing, but I know that every
single game he's out there, whether it's getting people aligned
or taking on blockers, so another linebacker making tackle with
another player. But this week he just came with the
stats and just happy for him.
Speaker 5 (16:08):
Were you aware that.
Speaker 3 (16:09):
Record had that straight line speed, that.
Speaker 5 (16:11):
He showed up.
Speaker 11 (16:13):
Yeah he I mean he ran faster me at the combine,
so which wasn't hard to do. But you know, he
he always talks about he played running back back in
Making County, so you know he was playing two A football,
so who knows who he was really running against down there.
But uh, but nah, I knew he's athletic, and I
know you still had some juice.
Speaker 4 (16:34):
Wow.
Speaker 2 (16:34):
There's a lot of talk in August about Ny Wiggins
the guy who could really ever break out here this year.
Speaker 9 (16:38):
I obviously that manifest in two weeks obviously.
Speaker 5 (16:42):
Yeah.
Speaker 11 (16:42):
I think it's just confidence and I think he came
in with that confidence, honestly, and now it's just a
matter of opportunity to be able to do it. I
think he's one of the more talented guys, if not
the more talent, most talented guy in our dB room
and he uh. I think for him it's just consistency,
consistent every week because he has the ability to go
shut down guys every single week. But you know, he
(17:05):
still just just turned twenty two and already a great
player in this league. Just excited for what he does
in the future.
Speaker 3 (17:11):
I think Saint Brown such a great player.
Speaker 7 (17:12):
I mean he came in as a fourth round pick
and I mean from day one kind of took the
league by storm.
Speaker 2 (17:17):
Well, what makes him so tough because he's not the
biggest guy in the role playing.
Speaker 8 (17:20):
In this line.
Speaker 11 (17:21):
Yeah, I think it's just what you said, just his
toughness and his motor. I think just blocking everything, route, running,
run after Kesh is just he goes one hundred percent
at in it. I remember my freshman year at Notre Dame,
we were playing sc and uh playing against him and
Michael Pittman and Drake London, and he could tell like
when he got the ball, he was trying to make
most of those opportunities and he always worked super hard
(17:44):
or just was working super hard on the field, and
that translates. You know, that's not something you really can teach.
It's either you got or you don't. Along with the talent,
it makes sense why he is top of the league
and all these stat categories and stuff like that. So
propps to him and the way he plays, because I
think it's kind of rare at the receivers from the
approach the game like he does. How tough is it
the face of guy with Jamis and Williams speed or
(18:05):
one of the aggressive you.
Speaker 1 (18:07):
Know, after he catches the ball to get him down,
but you also have to.
Speaker 6 (18:09):
Get them to the space because he's because of his suite.
How tough is a really fast.
Speaker 4 (18:13):
Zibel like that?
Speaker 5 (18:15):
Yeah, it's tough. You just watch him on film.
Speaker 11 (18:18):
He just picks up speed as he goes and he
it seems like he's accelerating all the way up until
he catches the ball. And you know, it's it's tough
to defend when you have a guy like I'm a
rug and do a damage underneath, and then guy like
him he could do damage over the top. They got
good tight ends, good backs, and you know at all
three levels they're affecting the game. So but specifically for Jameson,
it's just like he's a good route runner, speedy guy,
(18:40):
and he can hurt you in a lot of different ways.
So it's up to us as a defense to be
on the right page in the back end to prevent that.
Speaker 7 (18:47):
Dan Campbell talked about they haven't forgotten the game from
two years ago.
Speaker 3 (18:51):
When you guys put it on pretty good. I mean
to you, as a player, how.
Speaker 7 (18:55):
Much value is there and looking back at that game,
what do you what can you take from.
Speaker 5 (19:00):
Yeah, I think it's I was just touched on earlier.
Speaker 11 (19:03):
It's a week to week league, and it's definitely a
year to year definitely a two year to two year league.
And you know, it was a great day for us.
But at the same time, you know they're gonna chip
on their shoulder coming in here and Monday night in
front of the whole world, so everybody's gonna be playing
their best, playing their hardest. So I don't think that's
a good barometer. Just that's to where both teams are
right now, two completely different teams. And for them, obviously
(19:27):
they're gonna, like you said, not forget that game, and
we won't either. But at the same time, we need
to prove it to ourselves, prove it to the world
again and that we can go be dominant. So I'm
excited to be a good game on Monday, and I
think we're ready.
Speaker 9 (19:38):
To talk about post interception celebrations given the tackle that Lucy.
Speaker 5 (19:44):
Hit Wikens with.
Speaker 11 (19:47):
No, honestly, I think we'll be more so just worrying
about catching them right now. We'll celebrate later. But uh nah,
that was kind of crazy about Cheto. He just jumped
on Nate. I know Nate was tired. I was forty
yur dashog. Nate ran four two, I hawked by Flacco
and old lineman and he was tired. So I was
about to tell the trainers come on the field so
(20:07):
we didn't get a delayed game, a whole bunch of stuff,
and then got up started dancing. I didn't even know
what was going on, so I was like, I'm done,
I'm going to the sideline. But uh, Cheeto, I think was
tired and just wanted to lay down. So he just
jumped on Nate and everybody just jumped on Nate. So
it was cool for him to kind of get that moment.
It would have been cool if he cribbed it too,
would have been two picks two pick six is do you've.
Speaker 7 (20:26):
Been excited when you see your spring come into your
side of the field. It seems like you take a
particular relish.
Speaker 3 (20:31):
Blowing up the screen.
Speaker 5 (20:32):
Yeah. I don't.
Speaker 11 (20:33):
I don't even know my thought process and that I think.
I just I just try to go seatball, get ball.
It's like it's right there in front of me, and
if I can beat the lineman or whoever's coming to
block me to the ball or run through a block
or whoever's in front of me, then so be it.
But I mean I kind of feel like I'll just
blackout in those moments. I don't know, in between plays.
Really doesn't matter the play, just let my body take
(20:54):
over and just go play.
Speaker 5 (20:57):
Really really auditioning.
Speaker 9 (21:00):
All of a sudden, they went like they had freestat
motion and obviously every team does it.
Speaker 3 (21:04):
What makes Detroit.
Speaker 9 (21:04):
Different about just how they kind of try to how
leverage you or use the sea if they have them
to feel to.
Speaker 3 (21:09):
Get the windows.
Speaker 11 (21:10):
For him, yeah, I think, yeah, he's been a great leader.
I mean, he went to the Super Bowl with Rams
and it seems like he's gotten even better in Detroit.
Speaker 5 (21:19):
So props to him.
Speaker 11 (21:20):
But I think from the outside looking in, just as
like a fan perspective, you think of the lines, think
of just big plays and points, and I really don't
think that's who they are. Obviously they can do that,
but like I said, they run the ball very well,
and I think that sets up everything they do, so
and for him to manage that be intentional with play
(21:42):
fakes and stuff like that, I think is one of
the best in the league. Just carrying out fakes and
get people out leverage to the flat and now they
just do a great job overall.
Speaker 5 (21:49):
He does a great job just operationally.
Speaker 1 (21:52):
