Speaker 1 (00:03):
Welcome into the Ravens Press Pass podcast. The date is Friday,
September twenty sixth, and today after practice, we heard from
the Ravens head coach John Harbaugh before the team boards
a flight tomorrow to head to Kansas City, where they'll
face the Chiefs on Sunday afternoon. So here's what Coach
Harbaugh had to say to the media.

Speaker 2 (00:24):
All Right, good to see you guys. Appreciate everybody being here,
good day, good week, a big game. It seems like
they all are. Gets a tough opponent and we're ready
to go. We will be when the time comes. So
what questions you have? I know we can kind of
ask you if anything else, you's mad if you get yet,
here's out for this game. That's as far as I

(00:46):
can state with certainty at this point, John, given some
of the challenges you've had in the health department with
the DeLine help face, have you been with the way
John Jenkins has stepped up and played Clayton pretty well
against Detroit. That such a good question, And you're right,
he did play played well against Detroit, played really well.
His reps will go up for sure, and he's he's
he's ready, you know. He's practiced really well, and he's

(01:08):
a he's a decorated vet and good player and really
good player. I mean he's done a great job. So
we're expecting a really good game from ye. Good point
buying two days one? Uh what a kind of the
other challenges were maybe any other toughness going to be
because it is your working one to be at the
other pat Yeah, I mean, you know, it's it's not

(01:28):
really Uh, it's just normal in the league. You just
have to deal with it, you know. It's I don't
think it's any great advantage one way or the other.
It's it's a little tougher if you're coming back like
we did last year from the West coast from the Chargers.
That was a challenge. But our guys will be ready,
so nay, you know, back today we'll find out. But

(01:48):
you know, how much of guys get something, Yeah, it
would mean a lot, it would mean a lot. Uh,
it would would be great. So we'll just see where
he's at and how how he's doing. Yeah, he's doing
he's doing well. I mean he's he's kind of in
that day to day world right now. So we'll see,

(02:11):
you know, he's working hard to be there on Sunday.
I believe could that action is draft or Yeah, that's
a good question. We have talked about that possibility. We'll see. Uh,
he's in that He's in that range for sure, and

(02:32):
he helped him with I think now such a week. Yeah, yeah,
I mean, you know, it just depends on what's best
for us and you know, the team in terms of
watch the tape, see how see how his numbers look.
You know, it's gonna be a it's gonna be a
tough environment. You know, he hasn't practiced. He's practiced one week,
so but he looked really good. So is he ready
to go in there, you know, in this game against

(02:53):
those guys and and you know, play at the top,
top level and help us win the game or somebody
else more suited, but he could do it. Look good
to me. I think he looks good and we'll just
have to see if it's the best thing for us
on Sunday. Uh. And we haven't really decided that yet
much where I don't need to. You know, full port
full participated in practice before you guys give him that. Yeah,

(03:14):
he was out there today. Fall. I think I'll get
a full designation today probably John, you mentioned the numbers
just in a general sense, how how helpful has that
been with player tracking data? Be aware is now to
to make those informed decisions. I mean, obviously one feedback
for a player, but you know you have data that
can help drive that. It's really good. I mean, it's
it's another level of of evaluation, and it makes you

(03:35):
know your eye is one thing, and you know, usually
your eyes right, but no, it's not always right. And
I was even informed of something about a player just
last week in terms of how he was running faster
than I thought, you know. So that's uh, that that
to me is just hugely valuable tool. The guys really
embrace it now. They there's there are certain things that
we try to do in terms of preparing them for

(03:55):
Sunday speeds they want to reach, and different types of
variable movement, types of things, and uh, whether it's straight speed,
whether it's change the directions, stop started, alatteral movement, all
those things are monitored, you know. So I think it
does help with the muscle balance and the and the
and the ability to be prepared to open it up
and go on Sunday. You know. So we've been using it.

(04:16):
We've been using it as much as we know how
to use it, and I think we're probably on the
cutting ads to be honest with you. Okay, John, it's
been a while. It has been a while. They had
a weird one.

Speaker 1 (04:34):
Just if you have any kind of update on that.

Speaker 2 (04:38):
I don't I think still in rehab mode right now.
I don't know. I don't know. Yeah, all right. Thanks.

Speaker 1 (04:50):
That was head coach John Harbaugh ahead of this weekend's
Week four matchup with the Chiefs. That's it for today.
