Speaker 1 (00:05):
You're listening to the Ravens Press Pass podcast. The Ravens
fell to the Cincinnati Bengals thirty two to fourteen at
mty Banks Stadium on Thanksgiving. After the game, we heard
from head coach John Harball.

Speaker 2 (00:16):
Okay, obviously, congratulations to the Bengals. They played a winning
football game and deserved the victory. We did not play
winning football game, and that's what happens when you don't
play winning football. So disappointing that we'll pull ourselves together
and get ready for Pittsburgh coming in here. Everything we
want to accomplish is still in front of us, and
we'll go to work on the next game. Every game

(00:38):
stands alone. This one will put behind us, and we'll
look forward to what we can accomplish going forward.

Speaker 3 (00:44):
What questions you have?

Speaker 4 (00:46):
Tony Moore had three turnovers, something that doesn't happen very
often with him.

Speaker 3 (00:52):
Has Lamar. Has Lamar looked like Lamar to you.

Speaker 2 (00:55):
Just when you turn the ball over as much as
we did tonight, That's that's the story of the game.
You know you've got to do it. We just can't
do it. You can't do it if you want to
win football games.

Speaker 5 (01:04):
John the Cincinnati do anything different to I know the turnovers,
of course, but did they show you anything different defensively
that you weren't expecting?

Speaker 4 (01:14):
John?

Speaker 6 (01:14):
Were you happy with how much you ran the ball tonight?
I think in the second.

Speaker 3 (01:19):
Quarter you do what you can do to win the game.

Speaker 2 (01:21):
I mean, if they're gonna put a bunch of people
up there, we had a lot of open guys, and
you saw the opportunities to score. I think we had
two of them called back that were that were the
result of throwing the ball against the looks they we're
giving us. So it's a matter of finishing those plays
and putting them in the end zone.

Speaker 5 (01:36):
John, what can you tell us about the opinions with
the foot injury?

Speaker 2 (01:39):
Uh, Nate's injury is not serious in terms of long
term injury. I don't know if it'll be next week
or what. Well to see where that goes. Uh, And
then Chandler is a more serious knee injury.

Speaker 3 (01:51):
What was the injuries? What do you have any updated
on Justice Hill? He suddenly it was hurt and.

Speaker 7 (01:55):
He was on my own.

Speaker 2 (01:56):
He had a pretty The next thing that was kind
of bother him, and all of a sudden it caused
some issues, and they went and looked at it. He's
got a he's got a disc issue. It's gonna keep
him out for a few weeks.

Speaker 6 (02:09):
John, I mean the Jets and the Bengals before you
guys played them, not very you know, high statistic defenses.
We hear a lot from Todd munkin after games, gotta
scheme better, got coach better, got to execute better. Do
you see evidence that that can happen after especially the
last two performances the worse?

Speaker 7 (02:29):
Of course.

Speaker 3 (02:30):
Absolutely.

Speaker 2 (02:30):
It's an it's a national football legu I mean anybody
that watches the National Football League as a fan of
the National Football League, or covers the National Football leagu
or watches the other games, understands that it's a week
to week league.

Speaker 6 (02:43):
Then is there any reason for you from clum Mars
that accuracy issues over recent weeks?

Speaker 2 (02:49):
I just think you try to do the best you
can from play to play, in game to game to
execute and make plays.

Speaker 3 (02:55):
See fully healthy.

Speaker 2 (02:58):
Fully healthy.

Speaker 3 (02:59):
Uh yeah, he's fully healthy to play. Yeah. Absolutely, That's
why I'm fut okay, job.

Speaker 8 (03:07):
I guess what would you've wanted to see the office
do better against some of those cover zero kind of books?

Speaker 3 (03:12):
That well.

Speaker 2 (03:13):
I mean, you you put it all together. You like
to be able to make them pay for it. You know,
get the ball in somebody's hands quickly or uh or
you know, pick it up and extend the play if
you can. I mean, all those things are what you
try to do. We did not do a good job
of that tonight.

Speaker 9 (03:26):
Yeah, you preached turnover.

Speaker 8 (03:27):
It's all year ever since, going back to the summer.

Speaker 6 (03:30):
Is there is it just reminding them or like how frusting?

Speaker 5 (03:33):
Is it?

Speaker 3 (03:34):
Kind of just one of those kind of games.

Speaker 2 (03:35):
I mean, we had a bad game with that. You know,
we did not protect the football. It's not it's not good,
you know, it's it's it's on me. I'm a coach,
you know, and my job is to make it clear
to the guys that that's not that's not okay. You know,
you put the ball away, You protect the football. That's
that's how it's done. And you know, you catch it,
you put it away, you you finish that, you finish
the run.

Speaker 3 (03:55):
You do whatever you.

Speaker 2 (03:55):
Gotta do to protect the football because that's job one.
I mean, that's that's what wins and loses games. Our
guys know that. Everybody knows it and it's my responsibility
to make sure they understand that and that we practice
it that way every single day, and it carries over
to the game.

Speaker 10 (04:09):
We talked early in the season about there were some
games where you feel like the defense was just on
the field for too many plays. Did you feel like
that happened again tonight?

Speaker 2 (04:17):
They kind of evergought about it that way? Child's I
haven't thought. I'll take a look at that though as
we look at it tomorrow, But I haven't thought of
it that way. It's quick after the games.

Speaker 1 (04:31):
Except we heard from quarterback Lamar Jackson.

Speaker 4 (04:35):
More three turnovers for you tonight. That's uncharacteristic. We don'ts
to see that with you. What what do you think
has been you know the issue not only tonight, but
maybe over the past few weeks where it doesn't seem
like you know your your normal self out there.

Speaker 3 (04:51):
No, I just got to play consistent.

Speaker 11 (04:54):
No, can't have turnovers, especially in the game, not just
this game, but in the game. Can't have turnovers s
two fumbles, uh in the intercession to intercession.

Speaker 3 (05:04):
We gotta be consistent. We putting our defense on the
field too much. Can't have that.

Speaker 8 (05:10):
How how frustrating is it to make those kind of
mistakes to your point, something you've talked about a few
times this year.

Speaker 3 (05:17):
Can't put the defense in that position. Then how would
you describe your frustration? Well, I guess we're that S.

Speaker 11 (05:23):
I can't describe the the level of frustration. You know,
I'm ticked off. You know, it's not even frustrated. I'm
just mad cause, like I said, we can't have that.
And turnovers is a big part of winning losing games
and turning the ball over giving them an extra possession,
this is the outcome.

Speaker 3 (05:39):
Why did it.

Speaker 6 (05:40):
Start to feel like s it's became a snowball effect
that you know, the likely fumble, your fumble.

Speaker 3 (05:46):
Did you tryna pump things?

Speaker 6 (05:48):
It just seem like a lot of weird fumbles happen.

Speaker 11 (05:51):
Yeah, yeah, it was like you said, weird fumbles, you know.
But gotta hold onto the ball, you know, and nah,
I'm not even talking about like I'm talking about myself,
you know. Or mold on to the ball and make
throws cause I feel like I missed throws. That was
a don't miss those, you know. Just gotta be consistent.

Speaker 3 (06:07):
Is it on giatical thing? With with the with the
actoracy you not through all that all this time, So just
gotta be consistent.

Speaker 6 (06:15):
Mark, when you heard you say something to these stuff
the recent games, even wins, you kind of said, we
gotta put more points in the board.

Speaker 3 (06:20):
We gonna be more consistent.

Speaker 6 (06:21):
Why do you think the offenses continues to trend the
way it's trending.

Speaker 3 (06:27):
I don't know.

Speaker 11 (06:28):
I can't call it. I r I really can't. I
don't wanna make nothing up. I feel like we was
doing things pretty good on the field. Uh, we got
first downs, Uh, we drove the ball down the field sometimes,
and then the turnover happened, miss hoppen you know here
and now we just gotta be on the same page
to be consistent, Like as I just said, that's the
biggest key right now, being consistent throughout the game first

(06:48):
quarter to fourth quarter and not putting our defense on
the field as much as we did.

Speaker 6 (06:53):
Ah right, it was really had a lot of success
doing zero blitzs against you go on third down. Anything
in particular that you felt like that most was giving
me in trouble tonight?

Speaker 3 (07:02):
Nah Nah, I don't.

Speaker 10 (07:06):
Or you said, if if I'm out there, I'm good
enough to play, I fit you know, I can play.

Speaker 1 (07:10):
You've been on the injury for the ham string, with
an ankle, with a knee, with a tough man.

Speaker 8 (07:15):
Is that affecting you?

Speaker 3 (07:16):
The compila are is it af fect?

Speaker 4 (07:17):
I know you say, I'm about there.

Speaker 3 (07:18):
I feel like I can make a place.

Speaker 4 (07:20):
But are all those compilation of injuries affecting you out
there and affecting the throws?

Speaker 3 (07:24):
Nah?

Speaker 11 (07:24):
I just gotta be more consistent. I gotta make those throws.
I don't miss 'em in practice, so I shouldn't been
missing them in the game.

Speaker 10 (07:30):
Do you feel like you're seeing the field the way
that you want to? I mean, or is it still unfolding.

Speaker 3 (07:35):
The way that you expect it to and it's just
the execution that's that.

Speaker 11 (07:39):
Yeah, I feel like I'm saying it feel pretty good
for the most part, you know, But I just gotta
be consistent.

Speaker 3 (07:45):
We all just gotta be consistent. Sorry, I can.

Speaker 8 (07:47):
You take us through what happened on that second lost
fuffle of years the evil where the past?

Speaker 11 (07:52):
Yeah, I seen Za on a pos uh pos it
was covered to I seen Za on the post, not
try to put a ball back to me. Sure it
wasn't no temper to Mike, you know, I didn't wanna
just throw it blindly when I was pulling the back
it just so, man, gotta hold on to the ball.

Speaker 3 (08:07):
Try to team now six and six?

Speaker 8 (08:11):
You know where?

Speaker 4 (08:11):
Where where do you, guys, Sco when you had a
good streak with five five wins?

Speaker 3 (08:14):
W at six and six? Where you where you guys
Scot from here? You gotta go watch film clean up
what happened tonight? You doing?

Speaker 11 (08:22):
Just lock in cause we got two division opponents. We
gotta see it since here in two weeks we gotta
see still is this up?

Speaker 3 (08:28):
Well? You know ten days? You just gotta lock in.

Speaker 11 (08:31):
Man, be consistent, put points on the bar like I've
been sign but we just gotta actually do it.

Speaker 12 (08:37):
Lamar.

Speaker 3 (08:38):
You guys had a lot of success here offensively over
the years.

Speaker 9 (08:40):
Do you feel like this is the toughest.

Speaker 6 (08:41):
Stretch since you've been at quarterback here offensively?

Speaker 1 (08:45):
Nah?

Speaker 3 (08:46):
I don't, I don't, mkay.

Speaker 5 (08:51):
I think what do you think?

Speaker 3 (08:52):
You guys? What do you need to do to to
find that consistency here? Looking for it? Just be me,
just be Lamar. You know so.

Speaker 8 (09:02):
Did you have to do anything protective with your cleat?
But just so, Majury of what was having on factor.

Speaker 3 (09:09):
Nah, I was good. My told was good. Yeah, alright.

Speaker 1 (09:16):
Next we heard from safety Kyle Hamilton.

Speaker 5 (09:19):
Kyle, after you guys made so many stops in the
reds ever in the first half, how frustrating was it
to not be able to get them off the field
on third down? You know there's the first couple of
touchdown fives.

Speaker 3 (09:28):
In front quorder. Yeah, it's.

Speaker 13 (09:32):
You know, it's it's sixty minutes of SUS sustained success
in this league. You know, we played great first half.
I think we we're putting some tough positions and you know,
we held them three points and that's what our offense
counsel us to do and that's what we're out there
to do. But second half, you know, it's a sixty
minute game and we know that we understand that and
we got to execute better. But all in all, I

(09:53):
think guys are out there fighting and so had some
guys go down, some guys step up today.

Speaker 6 (10:01):
How him, I've Obviously losing Nate games is tough, but
how dramatic were those schematic changes that you guys had
to make it look like they're moving you and Marlin around.

Speaker 3 (10:11):
But a little bit of compensation for that.

Speaker 13 (10:13):
I don't think it was too much schematic changes going on. Honestly,
you know, we trust everybody to go out there and
perform to the best of their abilities and to the
standard that we have. And Zeo's gonna call it. How's
heo was gonna call it, And everybody steps on that field,
you'll be able to do their job. I think it
may have just been the flow of the game. You know,
they had a lead, so they're going bigger people and

(10:34):
we might have been switching people around because of that.
I'm not really sure, just trying to answer your question,
but yeah, it's you know, we're confident everybody that's out there.

Speaker 3 (10:43):
How good was bro throwing the ball tonight?

Speaker 13 (10:46):
Yeah, I mean he made some great throws. You know,
that's who he is, and that's why you know he's
regarded as one of the best in our league, and
you know he's Yeah, I got the stats, got the
been to the Super Bowl, all this other stuff, and
it's not by accident. Made a couple of great throws

(11:06):
on critical plays, made a great throw against me on
third down, and Hudson I think, made a great catch,
and you know that's just part of this league's NFL
and you know you're gonna win some you're gonna lose them,
and you know next play mentality. But yeah, he puts
the ball where it needs to be and that's kind
of his fortete.

Speaker 8 (11:23):
La marg just said that he's not making he's not
missing these throws in practice. So how surprising is it
for you to see, you know, what normally are lay us.

Speaker 3 (11:32):
For him not get completed.

Speaker 13 (11:34):
Yeah, I mean it's it's one of those days you
know that you have and the defense had a lot
of those days early in the year. And you know,
we aren't pointing the finger at anybody, not pointing finger
at Lamar, pointing finger at whoever may be skill guys,
O line, whatever it may be. We're we're all uh
or one family.

Speaker 14 (11:52):
You know.

Speaker 13 (11:52):
We gotta roll with the punches and get through the
lows and the highs at the same time. So not
surprised at all or not really think of it as
like a surprised that he's throwing the ball whatever he
may have been throwing it today, Like you know, he's
on point, on time and practice and you know it
just doesn't go that way sometimes in the game. But
you know, he's a competitor, and he's one of the

(12:14):
best two time MVP for for a reason. So even
Lebron has off night.

Speaker 3 (12:20):
Kyle, I mean sort of to that effect.

Speaker 6 (12:22):
I mean, you're one of the team's leaders, and More's
maybe the most important team leader when he kind of
comes and says in a week after we expect more
of myself and he hasn't been able to reach out
the standard. Have you kind of seen him carry himself
through this challenging stretch of his own play.

Speaker 13 (12:40):
Yeah, I mean he's the he's the same with More.
I think that's a good thing, you know. I mean,
obviously on office side of the ball, we're getting stuff
fixed on our side, just like they're getting stuff fixed
on their side. And you know, there's the narrative I
think could switch very easily just because he's high profile
player and like I said, two time MVP, so people
are quick to criticize and jump to conclusions. But I mean,

(13:02):
you have a tough two to three game stretch and
you don't really get any leeway there if you're Lamar Jackson.
So he he doesn't care about any of that. He's
just trying to do his best for this team. So
we can win football games. I know that I see
it on a daily basis, and I know he'll get
it right. Not worried about that at all. I know
everybody on the office side and defensive side. We're coming

(13:24):
up on week fourteen now, but you know, we we've
got a lot of stuff to get better at. But
I think we've made a lot of progress at the
same time.

Speaker 10 (13:32):
Does it feel like a huge amount swings in this
next game against Pittsburgh and then you guys could be
right back on top of the division or you could
be back up against the wall again.

Speaker 13 (13:42):
Yeah, I think objectively a lot rides on this game
coming up. You know, we pretty much every game, including
this one, from here on out. You know, it's they
remember what you do in December. So December's coming up.
We got a big December, and yeah, I think we
got the guys to do it and got the mentality
to do It's just a matter of doing it.

Speaker 1 (14:04):
I think.

Speaker 8 (14:05):
You know, since you got two of those final brow
touchous were third and nine completions, just how surprising was
it was? Was it that you guys kind of dropped
the ball those high leverage spots.

Speaker 13 (14:14):
Yeah, I mean it's it's it's it's football. Like at
the end of the day, it's not so football. The
best players in the world. You know, we hold ourselves
to a standard, but you know they're gonna make players.
We're gonna make plays. We just gotta make more plays
than they do. I thought we did a good job
just tough situations, sudden change, blowing up in the red zone.

(14:35):
Game could have got out of hand early if we
weren't doing that, and you know, we set ourselves up
to be in position the second half, just didn't finish
the right way on defense. And now it's not like
we're doing the wrong stuff. It's just one of your
one on ones. That's part of the game.

Speaker 3 (14:50):
Man.

Speaker 13 (14:51):
You know, we watched the film whenever we watch it, digested, corrected,
and then flush it.

Speaker 3 (14:56):
So on the Pittsburgh after that good.

Speaker 1 (15:05):
In the locker room, we heard from a number of
key players, including left tackle Ronnie Stanley.

Speaker 15 (15:10):
What did you see from the offense today after that
first drive where they couldn't end up finishing drives most often?

Speaker 7 (15:16):
Uh, not enough production, you know, Uh, we're finishing the
drives too many mistakes. You know, a lot of the
things that we've been battling I mean, considering.

Speaker 3 (15:26):
That this offense hurt so long, how did identity on
the ground? How did you feel like they're perched the
run night?

Speaker 7 (15:33):
How do I feel like?

Speaker 3 (15:34):
What? How did you feel about the pursing the run game?

Speaker 7 (15:37):
Uh? I thought the run game, you know, especially early
on we got going, got uh dark going, rushed for
a touchdown early on. I think we just got to
keep it going and keep them up, met them going,
and you know, we make sure that's you know, that's
our identity and we have to make it work, right.

Speaker 15 (15:53):
I guess running When you say make sure, is there
like convercision on the sideline like cause for example, you know,
after Derek's touchdown run, I think with six and a
half minutes left in the first quarter, you get two
touches and the rest of the half, like you guys
wanting are there instances where you guys can like encourage coaches.

Speaker 7 (16:09):
Like, hey, can we go back to this or yeah,
I mean that's that's definitely you know, part of it
is the collaboration part, and you know, wanting to get
back to run and that's something that you know, we'll
we encourage the coaches to do when we come back
to the sideline and but you know we're we're still
gonna go out there and you know, run whatever play
is called.

Speaker 15 (16:27):
Would you like Emery Jones Jnior tonight?

Speaker 7 (16:29):
I thought he played great, you know, you know, besides
the you know, one penalty, but uh that fort he gave,
you know, he showed that he could play in this league.
Would you kind of describe just level of frustration and game,
you know, five turnovers and not clicking kind of offensively.

Speaker 3 (16:42):
And did some of the points that you just made.

Speaker 7 (16:45):
Yeah, No, it's very frustrating, you know, especially you know,
been around football for a little bit, played for a
while and just understanding the type of personnel we have,
the type of people we have, and that's just not
our standard, you know, especially uh speaking for the offense
that the defense did a great job, but off offensively,
you know, that's not our standard.

Speaker 15 (17:02):
MM.

Speaker 7 (17:02):
Can you kind of snowball when you have you know,
drives a kind of ending in in those certain stake
laden ways.

Speaker 3 (17:10):
I guess Can I build on you know, frustration or whatever?

Speaker 7 (17:15):
Yeah, no doubt that's you know the other team game momentum,
and that's just part of the game.

Speaker 3 (17:19):
You know.

Speaker 7 (17:20):
Ever, she's gonna strike you know, and going late into
the season postseason that those type of things are gonna happen,
and you know, the best teams whether those type of
storms and still push through at the end.

Speaker 13 (17:31):
Anyway, Why do you feel like it just hasn't clicked
with the offense as a.

Speaker 12 (17:34):
Whole kind of yet this year?

Speaker 7 (17:35):
You know, I can't speak to you know one thing
in particular, but I just know that I believe and
I'm confident that we're gonna figure it out. And I
know we are because you know, I'm gonna make sure
that you know, this offense gets going to the way
it's supposed to be.

Speaker 12 (17:50):
Nonny, do you feel like injuries or something else is respecting.

Speaker 3 (17:53):
Lamar Jackson's playlight?

Speaker 7 (17:54):
But no, I can't say so from you know, my perspective.
You know, uh, I can't speak from us all.

Speaker 9 (18:00):
Do you think you're going to make sure the offense
is going?

Speaker 14 (18:03):
What does that look like?

Speaker 7 (18:04):
I think, you know, just not leaving anything, you know unanswered,
you know, making sure all the questions are asked and
making sure everyone knows what we're gonna do in any situation. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (18:18):
Next, we heard from running back Derrick Henry Derek after.

Speaker 9 (18:21):
That opening driver you scored the touchdown.

Speaker 3 (18:23):
What happened to this offense the last of the night?

Speaker 12 (18:25):
You are turnovers, turnovers, duels.

Speaker 14 (18:30):
I guess just for you if someone has been here
or nothing, Just how frustrating is it the offense just
ha isn't having the production that maybe you've been accustomed to.

Speaker 3 (18:39):
How frustrating is it?

Speaker 4 (18:40):
Man?

Speaker 3 (18:41):
I think it's something slavatory.

Speaker 12 (18:42):
We need to be better. That we all know that,
and it wasn't today. They wore a better tune today,
That's what they wanted. But we need to be better.

Speaker 15 (18:50):
Lamar talked about the offense needs to be consistent.

Speaker 3 (18:53):
What do you think of being the challenge of finding
that consistency as a easment?

Speaker 12 (18:57):
I mean, we have five turnovers today, no execution. We
just gotta be better and stream plays together, finish drives
the points and I shut ourselves in the foot put
in mistakes. It's been a couple of weeks that the
execution has been kind of a wordy. Do you feel
like this is a team that can find out at

(19:18):
this point? You see, I'm not gonna tell you no.
I feel we can just have confidence with my team.
I wouldn't never say know that I don't think we
ever get.

Speaker 15 (19:23):
Over the hump, Like there were twenty two minutes left
in the in the half after your your touchdown and
you only got two more touches? Do you want more touches?

Speaker 12 (19:31):
Naturally, I'm gonna take advantage opportunities like yet, I'm not
one to uh cry in the media or complain whatever
I get, try to try to take advantage of it.

Speaker 15 (19:41):
Well, can you take away from this game against today?
I see north opponent into next week with the Steelers
coming up.

Speaker 3 (19:46):
We have to be better. We were not the good
the team we need to be today to win.

Speaker 12 (19:50):
They were the better team. Go back and watch the film,
fix what we need to fix, and come back ready
to go for Pittsburgh next next time.

Speaker 1 (20:00):
On the defensive side, we also heard from outside linebacker
like green.

Speaker 12 (20:05):
Thoughts, need your thoughts after after.

Speaker 14 (20:09):
I think we was pretty simple, like we just you
gotta play better, we gotta execute better, we gotta make
more plays than they make. And uh, I think we
fell shortened all three of those categories. So uh, I
think that's just the ultimate reasoning behind this loss. And
and uh so I think as a whole, we just

(20:29):
gotta find a way to make all the corrections and
make sure that we move on and get ready for
our next game.

Speaker 12 (20:37):
From a pass rush standpoint, just after having so much
success over the past couple of weeks to just kind
of had where where did things kind of not work today?

Speaker 14 (20:44):
Yeah? You know, I I it's a lot of things
that go into pass rushing. You know, there's time that
the quarterback holds the ball, There's different sets that tackles
can can do. They there's different defensive calls. You know
what I'm saying that it's getting called. So you know,

(21:07):
I think the number one thing to be a successful
pass rusher is to have a lot of those opportunities
to rush the passer. So if you think about if
it's if it's second and short all the time or
throward and short, you're not growing really get many opportunities
to rush the passer. So I think we just gotta

(21:29):
get teams to to continue to go and to drop
back past situations, and Uh, I think that's just gonna
open up more pass rushing opportunities for us HM.

Speaker 3 (21:43):
Defensively, what do you think was the biggest difference, uh,
from the first half of the second half. I mean,
I I think I think you know, it's it's it's
a little difficult.

Speaker 14 (22:00):
I think the biggest difference was, you know, the mindset
and the mentality going into the second half, cause we
still felt like like we were in we were in
the game going into the second half. I think we
gotta find a way to come out more hot during
the first half, and that can kind of make teams,

(22:22):
you know, a little a little bit more I can
I put it it it it makes it makes teams
a little bit more like exclusive, like you know, you
can get them to do certain things when you have
them more scared and more un their toes. So I

(22:42):
think the more that we do that, the better that
our artcome will be coming and going into uh the
second half.

Speaker 1 (22:48):
So yeah, next we heard from a tight end Marc Andrews.

Speaker 3 (23:00):
Remember where game.

Speaker 6 (23:01):
We're just so often it's like you get something, we
get going right and then next thing, you know, just
something will go wrong.

Speaker 3 (23:05):
It just looked like it was swimming upstream a lot
to night.

Speaker 9 (23:08):
Yeah, it's just kind of out of went, you know.
You know, I think that you know, as a game,
there were some really good things and uh, but you
just weren't efficient enough and so we didn't play well
enough as a team.

Speaker 6 (23:21):
Well, Mark kind of seems at a loss for some
of the things that happened in the last couple of.

Speaker 3 (23:25):
Weeks, especially in the throes.

Speaker 6 (23:27):
He said, he's sipping in practice, but it's not coming
through in the game the same way. Are you seeing
what do you what are you kind of seeing from him?

Speaker 13 (23:33):
That just feels different.

Speaker 9 (23:35):
Well, Mar's great, man, I got I got no complaints. Man,
he's a he's our guy, and uh, full trust and man,
it's yeah, that's football is a way of life.

Speaker 14 (23:43):
Man.

Speaker 9 (23:43):
Sometimes you know, bad things happen. We learned to rebound, grow, learn,
and you know, not long ago we were one and five,
we're six and six. We're gonna be alright. We just
gonna keep fighting, keep calling, keep being humble, being thankful,
and uh, I'm certainly thankful for him.

Speaker 5 (23:58):
Martin.

Speaker 7 (23:59):
Five overs, I think the most you guys have had
on offense since like twenty thirteen.

Speaker 8 (24:04):
Can that.

Speaker 1 (24:06):
Sort of wear on you?

Speaker 3 (24:07):
On you guys that frustrate you throughout the course of
the game.

Speaker 9 (24:09):
Those are controlables, you know, those are those are things
that we can control, and I think that's the beauty
of it. So just go back and and focus on ourselves,
folks on take care of that ball and you know,
good things will happen.

Speaker 15 (24:21):
Did set How do you kind of mentor Isaya lately?

Speaker 13 (24:24):
After a tough play?

Speaker 6 (24:25):
Humble man?

Speaker 14 (24:26):
He was.

Speaker 9 (24:26):
He was, you know, fighting his butt off, you know,
NonStop scrambles, making plays and again you know, I I
I mean, he probably won't that back, but you know,
he was playing his butt off. I'm very proud of him.

Speaker 6 (24:36):
Does it make it more disappointing to to fall in
this one win?

Speaker 3 (24:39):
The defense? Was they able to keep Joe.

Speaker 6 (24:41):
Burrow out of the end zone in the first half
and just kind of gave you guys a fighting chance?

Speaker 9 (24:46):
Yeah, you know, they certainly did. And you know for
us as an offense, and I think there's plays, you know,
all the offense, defense, special teams that we wish we
had back, but you know, we gotta be better for
those guys.

Speaker 10 (24:56):
Did set the record for UH receptions in the for
this So I know, in this moment's probably not as
maybe great as I could have been a whim But
what does.

Speaker 9 (25:04):
That mean to Yeah, I think you said it now
right now. I'm just you know, I wish, I wish
we would have won this game, and but that's okay,
we would get back in the line. I'm very thankful,
you know, to to be in this position, to you know,
to have that record, but a lot of people around
me to thank for that.
