Speaker 1 (00:02):
Welcome in the Ravens press pass following the Ravens twenty
three to sixteen win in Cleveland is a grinded out
win and the fourth straight victory for the Ravens as
they pulled to an even five and five on the season.
Let's start with coach Harbaugh.

Speaker 2 (00:18):
Last night and reminded him again afterwards that my birthday
was on September twenty third, and they were kind of
they had fun with it because it was so many,
so many years. They gave me a jersey with how
many years old I am on it? I tell you
it was definitely an offensive lineman number and uh and uh.
I got a couple of presents and we were getting
ready to play the Lions and didn't have time to

(00:38):
open them. I said, well, I'll open them up after,
and then then it was then we lost. I'm like, well,
I open them up after we'd win, and then we
didn't win, you know, for five weeks, four weeks, and
then we wanted enough time, one enough time.

Speaker 3 (00:51):
I opened them up.

Speaker 2 (00:52):
I opened it up this week going into this game,
and one and one of them was this coin the
friends sent and it's uh, it's where you're on it
in the back of it is Joshua one to nine
and it says, have I not commanded you be strong
and of good courage, Do not be afraid nor be
dismayed for the lawyer, God is with you wherever you go.

(01:15):
And talk to the guys, and I just told them,
I just, I just I think what I was so
emotional about last week was their courage and their their
their ability to not be dismayed in times of adversity
or when things look tough and dark, and that is
what won this game again. And that's why I'm so

(01:38):
proud of these guys, and that's why it means so much.
And by no means is this the end. We're five
and five, our heads just above water. We're just above water.

Speaker 3 (01:46):
We're breathing.

Speaker 2 (01:47):
We're not even out of the water. But what you
saw out there was a tough, heartfall game against a
really good team. I mean, the Browns are a very
good football team. They're a tough, determined team. It's a
typical AFC North battle. And I'm proud of the guys
for the way they played and what they had to
do to find a way to win that game. In
the second half of the way they did a question, Jeb.

Speaker 4 (02:09):
What was kind of going through your mind when you
heard them the headset, you know, Hurricane the play call.

Speaker 2 (02:16):
Well, I didn't hear it. I actually we talked. We
were talking about it, and uh, I mean I heard
that it was I knew it was going to be called,
but it was part of the conversation and I was excited.
You know, it was a good call. We we talked
about calling that if we got inside of one. If
we if we weren't inside of one, we weren't going
to go for it.

Speaker 3 (02:36):
And uh, but we.

Speaker 2 (02:39):
Got the one because Hop, because Lamar and Hop execute
and make a play and gets us down in there
and then we get I can't remember the sequence of events,
but uh, that was the call that was going to
be made. And uh, man, it was so beautifully executed.
When you see and a good idea has many fathers, right,
but when you see it executed, well, I mean, that's

(02:59):
what makes it a good idea.

Speaker 3 (03:01):
And that's that's what I'm probably most proud of.

Speaker 5 (03:03):
So before then thought, I mean, Tyler kick the ball
well all game and you were well within his range.
There was no fault about kicking a field goal to
try to go head by through there.

Speaker 3 (03:11):
Yeah. Oh yeah, that was that was That was part
of the deal.

Speaker 1 (03:13):
That was.

Speaker 2 (03:14):
That was what we thought and we weren't gonna do
do anything else. It was close enough to go for it.

Speaker 6 (03:18):
What kind of you the confidence whatever you want to
call it, to go with that play step?

Speaker 2 (03:23):
I think just the fact that we practiced it so
much and we felt good about it. We felt, like
Mark and would execute it well. It looked really good
in practice. It was a good idea and if you
get the look you want, I mean, if they give
you the sneak, you know you could do that.

Speaker 3 (03:34):
You could.

Speaker 2 (03:34):
There's other checks involved there too that we can that
we have, but like like Mark said, we can't say
too much. But I just I just felt like it
was gonna be executed.

Speaker 7 (03:42):
Well between Like, is that any more high risk than
a normal twitch pushed?

Speaker 5 (03:48):
Like? Were you looking for the kind of knockout punch
right there?

Speaker 2 (03:50):
I don't know, it's a good question. That's a good question.
I'm not sure what that but that would be calculus wise.

Speaker 6 (03:56):
Did you think you could go for as big of
a play.

Speaker 3 (03:58):
As it did hoping for a first down?

Speaker 8 (04:01):
Man?

Speaker 2 (04:02):
But you knew it had a chance you know, and
it just was executed so beautifully. Then when I say this,
I told Mark coming off the field, when he turned
the corner and he saw I mean, he accelerated. I
bet he was well over twenty miles an hour there.
I mean he kicked it into fourth gear and he
was rolling with.

Speaker 5 (04:21):
With his much as verse and he did.

Speaker 9 (04:23):
Mark's gone through the past here. How good was it
for him to have the miles gum touchdown here but
also become the career targage.

Speaker 10 (04:31):
Lead for the branch.

Speaker 2 (04:32):
I think that's such a good point. I mean, you know,
that's that's what that's what that's what life is, you know,
and football, And maybe it's one of the reasons why
people are so attracted to the sport and the into
the NFL, because because you see that adversity play out
in front of everybody's eyes, you know, and then you
get you get the criticism or the outside noise or
whatever that people have to deal with, which is the
same thing that people go through in their everyday life, right,

(04:54):
so you can relate to it. So you see Mark
go through that, or Lamar has been through that, so
many guys have been through those things. Then you them
overcome like that, and that's that's that's what that verse
is all about, you know, that kind of courage and
not to be dismayed and to maintain your faith and
faith and guts and keep fighting, you know, and uh,
you know the Lord is with you wherever you go.
You know, just hope and belief and all those things.

(05:16):
That means so much. I think people relate to that
when they see it, so yes to your point, that's
the long version of the answer. But I think that's
a great it's a great point.

Speaker 11 (05:25):
Miles gathered and business back and their defense. It's all
may things for.

Speaker 5 (05:30):
Your guys today.

Speaker 3 (05:30):
That's what they do, you know.

Speaker 2 (05:32):
And then and we knew that, and you know, the
thing I think we did a great job, and it
starts with Lamark quarterback, is you minimize their big plays
because they're gonna make their plays, they're gonna get their sacks,
they're gonna get their TFLs. You minimize them and don't
let them become really bad plays. Okay, and uh, and
then you find a way to make plays to take
advantage of when you know, you get a crack and
you get an opening. Because there's there's vulnerabilities there you know,

(05:53):
and Lamar did that, and the guys did that. Think
of the past to zay down the field, lamarshcrambling for yards,
of getting first downs, first down conversions, things like that,
getting us into the field goal range and making sure
we kept field goal range. I mean, those are the
things that are challenging to do against the defense like that,
and that's what you have to do to win games
against defenses like that.

Speaker 9 (06:13):
Backup quarterback comes in as a spark for the other team.

Speaker 12 (06:16):
How big was the pressure you guys were able to
put on your door to keep them all down?

Speaker 2 (06:20):
And I'm so glad you asked that. You know, I
should have said more about that in the team post meeting.
I mean, first of all, the defense, I think they
had a hunt gave of one hundred and eighty seven yards. Okay,
the pressure the pass rush was incredible, especially in the
second half. You know, how many sacks, how many quarterback hits.
Really didn't give a chance to breathe really at all.
I thought the coverage was really good Man coverage. Yeah,

(06:41):
he completed a couple there, But how about the coverage
down the stretch? How about Cheetos play? How about rose play?
You know, just tight coverage and bat and balls out
and getting PBUs. Of course the sacks. I'm just just
gonna be more proud of those guys.

Speaker 9 (06:54):
Just want a quarterback like that comes in without much
film because Kyle got a hit on them on that
second series, which kind of rattled them a little bit
and lended the interceptions that just keep playing your game.

Speaker 3 (07:07):
Yeah, we didn't have enough to say.

Speaker 2 (07:09):
We played and you practice your game plan, and the
game plan was going to be good for the for
their offensive system. What they're doing not gonna change that.
You know, they're not gonna change who they are. You
don't know how the quarterback is gonna look exactly, but uh,
you just got to kind of take care of your
own business.

Speaker 7 (07:26):
The defense getting any more swagger confidence As that game
kind of rolled on a second third quarter.

Speaker 2 (07:32):
I thought they played the same the whole game, you know.
I mean, yeah, they had a couple of runs on
us earlier. We had to clean up some some gap
control and some tackling, and once we got that cleaned up,
it seemed like they were rolling.

Speaker 5 (07:41):
How much does it.

Speaker 6 (07:42):
Help going forward to win a couple of money games
if you will, well, you have this one, you know,
there were some kind of mistakes in the middle, and
then they're you know, obviously their defense is really difficult
and tough.

Speaker 2 (07:54):
Well, I mean, it's just a tough league. It's not
going to be perfect too often, you know. And even
when it seems perfect, you know, everybody can still fun
and something you know, and and and you and you
should because you want to improve. But that's just how
that's how it works, you know. It's uh, it's like
DeAndre said, he said, all these things that we've been
through that makes us who we.

Speaker 3 (08:11):
Are going forward.

Speaker 5 (08:14):
Help us.

Speaker 3 (08:15):
I believe so. But I haven't got a report on
that yet.

Speaker 8 (08:19):
Well, good, thank you.

Speaker 1 (08:23):
Up next, here's the man of the hour. He scored
the game winning touchdown on a fake push push run
for a touchdown and became the Ravens career franchise leader
in receiving yards in this game. This is tight end
Mark Andrews.

Speaker 8 (08:42):
What is the name of the play that resulted in
the touchdown.

Speaker 3 (08:46):
It was a great call.

Speaker 13 (08:47):
It's called Hurricane, And you know, I think the guys
just executed really well. I'm just trying to be versatile
in that package and.

Speaker 3 (08:53):
It was a great play called.

Speaker 13 (08:55):
It felt great to get in the end zone.

Speaker 11 (08:56):
How long have you been working on that market that's
on the case back even last year or no, the
more recent.

Speaker 13 (09:02):
We're always constantly working on different things and variations of
certain things to keep the defense honest. And you know
there's a perfect situ scenario to pull that out there.

Speaker 6 (09:10):
Did you get a sense, you know, coming into this
game or coming into the league that get in that
situation that that play could not just work, but work in.

Speaker 5 (09:19):
A big way.

Speaker 13 (09:19):
Yeah, you know, I think the critical downplays are something
that we're constantly focusing on finding unique ways to gain
an edge, and you know that's.

Speaker 14 (09:28):
What it was really all about.

Speaker 5 (09:29):
You spend how many times you've repped that play in particular.

Speaker 3 (09:33):
We've repped it a few times. Yeah.

Speaker 13 (09:34):
So we had a down pat and ready to go,
and like I said, you know, the guy's really up front.
It was you know, once I saw that the open
edge and pat, you're kicking the guy out. It's just
you know, opening my stride and getting.

Speaker 7 (09:44):
There is something where you know where you can tell
pre snap like there should be a running lane.

Speaker 3 (09:49):
To the side. Yeah.

Speaker 13 (09:50):
Sometimes you know, obviously I'm looking at you know what
they're doing, but you know we're gonna be able to
create some more things off that, but can't give y'all
too much.

Speaker 10 (09:59):
What does it mean to do.

Speaker 4 (10:00):
All this on a day where you also said another
record all time receiving artist.

Speaker 13 (10:04):
Yeah, I'm extremely thankful, you know, being drafted here eight
years ago. It's extremely humbling just to think about all
the players and the coaches, this incredible organization that I've
been able to play for. You know, without them, you know,
none of that's possible. It's been a lot of hard work,
and you know, I just think humility and gratitude is
the main thing. And I thank God and you know,

(10:26):
just for for allowing.

Speaker 3 (10:27):
Me to be in this position.

Speaker 11 (10:29):
What do you think in there is you kind of
pivot and turn the corner and you see Patrick Carr who.

Speaker 5 (10:34):
Has dealt it. I think it was and you have
kind of a laying there.

Speaker 13 (10:37):
I trust Pat, you know, with my life. So once
I saw that, like, let's just go, let's go.

Speaker 4 (10:43):
Mark.

Speaker 11 (10:43):
Well, what did you say about kind of the defense
today that when you guys were still kind of trying
to find.

Speaker 5 (10:48):
Some tracks and offensively and turn involve over they they.

Speaker 11 (10:51):
Can't give me the ball that?

Speaker 13 (10:52):
Yeah, I think the momentium of this game. They really
you know, help you know, put us in a good
place and just relying on them. I think, you know,
for the last few games, it's been you know, the
defense have been really stepping up all really all all phases,
you know, special teams defense. You know, tonight I've been
able to step up and it's been complimentary football, which
I think is amazing. We're starting to hit our stride

(11:13):
and you know, we're not, by any means satisfied. I
think this is a hungry, humble group that's going to
continue to work each and every week to try to
be the best that we can be at the right
time pace.

Speaker 7 (11:25):
You know what games your entire career just how because
what don't people understand about how hard it is to
get to sweep in a series like this.

Speaker 13 (11:32):
It's big Man and and that team. You know, they
fought hard, you know all game. We're you know, you know,
scratching and clawing to you know, move the ball and
do the right things. And I think we played good football,
fishing football, and for us to get this wednesdnight, that's
what's all about.

Speaker 7 (11:45):
Man.

Speaker 3 (11:45):
We're extremely think cool, got it? Thank you guys.

Speaker 1 (11:52):
Here's safety Kyle Hamilton, who finished with a team high
nine tackles as well as one sack and three tackle
for loss for a defense that held the Browns in
check almost the entire night. Here's Kyle Hamilton, Mark Andrews.

Speaker 10 (12:11):
Uh.

Speaker 15 (12:12):
You know we're gonna have a we have a crowded
backfield right now. We got a lot of talent back there.
You know, we need to get eighty nine more touches
in the run game maybe, but now it's it's cool
to see just the offense having plays off of plays
like that in critical situations. And you know, you see
so much about the toush push, tush push these days,
and you know last week pitched to Lamar and this

(12:35):
week kind of the whatever you want to call it.
It's pretty cool when it comes together and it works.
And just respect to the offense for for winning the
game right there. How you know, I'm gonna be honest,
I don't watch them in practice, mostly just doing defense.

(12:59):
Get off the field, talk to my teammates. But I'm
sure they wrapped it a lot. I mean obviously worked,
so props to the Monk and all those.

Speaker 10 (13:06):
Guys with.

Speaker 11 (13:14):
Doespecial.

Speaker 8 (13:18):
Oh yeah, I forget about that.

Speaker 15 (13:19):
I forget about that. Shout out, Mark Andrews, thank you
for reminding me. I think all time receptions, touchdowns and
yards leader.

Speaker 10 (13:27):
Now how many?

Speaker 15 (13:29):
How many?

Speaker 7 (13:30):
Is it?

Speaker 11 (13:30):
Will?

Speaker 16 (13:31):
All right?

Speaker 15 (13:31):
Well, he's going to be manifested. Just goes to show
what kind of guy, what kind of pro, what kind
of player he is, day in day out, one of,
if not the most consistent person that has been on
this team since I've been here, just mentally physically. You know,
he broke his ankle a couple of years ago, gets
to work, comes back ahead of schedule, plays in the

(13:53):
ABC Championship. Like it's just the kind of guy he is,
and glad to see him reap the benefits and like you,
like you said, there's ebbs and flows to everybody's career.
I can't seem to catch a pick in Cleveland for
some reason. But but yeah, I mean, life happens, Stuff happens,
and you know he's a warrior, and just happy for
him and happy for his FAMI.

Speaker 6 (14:14):
Last week.

Speaker 5 (14:14):
But defense being back and the turnaround all that stuff,
just the overall performance of the defense today.

Speaker 4 (14:20):
How pleased were you with the.

Speaker 5 (14:21):
Way you guys played?

Speaker 15 (14:22):
Yeah, I mean you complementary football is what we preach.
And you know, we hope that one day one of
these games we're gonna defense is gonna play lots out offense,
gonna play lights out, but you know it's not guaranteed
in this league, and it rarely happens. So, uh, we
got thrown into sticky situations and we held them the

(14:44):
field goal on the muff punt, and you know that's
what we're called out there to do it. It doesn't matter
the situation, doesn't matter what we're what the situation is
in the game. If there's a blade of grass to defend,
we're gonna defend it. And Marky missed. I just gave
you all your flowers. But yeah, I think everybody just

(15:04):
stayed locked in and situationally, I thought we were really
get today.

Speaker 9 (15:09):
Was adjusting on the fly when Sanders came in during
the second half, especially a guy who really the only
tape he's put on out.

Speaker 5 (15:16):
It was the preseason.

Speaker 15 (15:18):
Yeah, it's we preached nameless, faceless opponents. I was confused
when the crowd was going crazy, but then I saw
Sure come in. I mean, there weren't really too many adjustments.
You know, we're playing our game, trying to get up
the field get turnovers, which guys did today. And super
happy for key On Morton first sack today. Marlin's hurt

(15:40):
out with the injury and he comes in he's play
as well, and uh, super happy for that guy. Naked
it's another pick. I think it's third now against the Browns.
So we just need to play Browns more and they
will get picks hopefully. But but yeah, just I think
everybody stepped up and it was good to see a
complete product for the most part today on defense.

Speaker 1 (16:04):
Up next to quarterback Lamar Jackson, who had one of
his tougher nights, but rallied the Ravens in the fourth
quarter with three straight scoring drives to come from behind
and win this game.

Speaker 4 (16:17):
In your career, how would you describe Mark Andrews one
on that one?

Speaker 17 (16:22):
That was crazy. I was celebrating the whole time. You know,
we practiced early on in the week and uh, it
was looking pretty good, but we just needed a couple
of yards. But for him to go for a touchdown,
that was amazing. And for him to have an all
time career what it was.

Speaker 8 (16:37):
Reception though, receiving yards, that's crazy. Shout out the Mark.

Speaker 6 (16:46):
And you're head as you watch it turned the corner
on that play.

Speaker 17 (16:49):
Go That's all what I'm saying, my mom, go go, go,
go go. Like he turned on the judge too. I
guess you looked at forty nine like, no way, shout.

Speaker 8 (16:57):
Out to Mark.

Speaker 5 (16:59):
You Mark came in together. You guys have you know
what a lot.

Speaker 1 (17:02):
Of games you guys are kind of have been connected
to out your careers. Just can you put the perspective
he gets the record, he comes up with a big
play today, Just how how valuable he has been of
the course of his career.

Speaker 8 (17:11):
It's extremely valuable.

Speaker 18 (17:12):
Man.

Speaker 17 (17:13):
Uh He's always there, you know, he always there when
we need him.

Speaker 8 (17:16):
And he just showed that to night Man. He's it's
a reliable.

Speaker 5 (17:21):
From Lamar.

Speaker 11 (17:22):
You were one of the most vocal defending and when
people were still caught up in the Buffalo game, did
d how.

Speaker 8 (17:29):
Prior are you?

Speaker 5 (17:29):
How he's handled this and then come through with a
game like this.

Speaker 17 (17:33):
I mean, he's a grown man, you know. I know
he gonna hold his own. You know, just as much
as people beat him up, I feel like he beat
himself up. You know, so wat check someone when he down.
You know, that's my brother at the end of the day,
so I'm always gonna have it back Marvel.

Speaker 5 (17:46):
Was there that a theme or anything to those four
Miles Garret sacks?

Speaker 7 (17:50):
And then you know he was obviously winning, But some
of them I looked like you were kind of double
clutching ers looking for space in the pocket.

Speaker 8 (17:55):
I mean, this type of defense gonna create chaos.

Speaker 17 (17:58):
You know, they wanna hit hit receivers, not the month
they rots and stuff like that. And the the's on
coverage with a guy like Miles Garret pressure, so you
don't wanna just throw it up and cause a turnover,
even though we had two one to pass one off
alignment helmet, you know, but we don't wanna just turn
the ball over. So you gonna try to go to
a check down if anything. But he just kept tracing,
you know, so that's why we're getting sacks.

Speaker 5 (18:18):
Were you looking forard de hop on the throwback on
that that red zone sack?

Speaker 7 (18:22):
Like you you forenso right and looked like you were
de hops bring into the other the left car.

Speaker 8 (18:26):
Always trying to see if someone you know, popped open.

Speaker 5 (18:29):
Yeah, Well, what was it say about the scene that
you can win a grind it out? Game like this
on the road, really good defense. What's the same abouts team?

Speaker 11 (18:35):
Uh?

Speaker 10 (18:36):
Man?

Speaker 8 (18:36):
You right through adversity, you know, and.

Speaker 17 (18:40):
Like at the same time, this is a division of game,
so we know what type of game it'll be. You know,
that's not what the turnos and stuff like that. But
we knew it was gonna be a dog fight, Lamar,
when you gotta.

Speaker 5 (18:50):
Turn and they weigh atting kind of interception and let
you play it was a turnover? Was it tough.

Speaker 11 (18:55):
To avoid frustration there and believe that if you just
kept getting the ball back you were getting break through?

Speaker 8 (19:01):
Yeah, you just gotta keep a clear in mind, you know.

Speaker 17 (19:03):
But I I believe I wouldn't say frustration, but Y
kind of ticked out because our defense just put us
in a great spot. Indeed, for us to turn the
ball back over us we can't have that, you know.
And shout out to defense cause they played a great game, right,
I mean.

Speaker 4 (19:15):
Most of these were city yards. That mark is gained
usually just come from you your passes. It seem you O,
those guys had a connection pretty early on. How would
you describe that chemistry between you and.

Speaker 3 (19:27):
S Like, I don't know, I can't call it.

Speaker 17 (19:28):
You know we just said this when he back years ago,
like street ball, you know it's not there. You know,
you make something happen, you know, you see some of
the defense.

Speaker 8 (19:36):
Uh we just connect right when you guys were, you know,
starting one to five.

Speaker 5 (19:41):
But how much confidence was there in the room that
you guys.

Speaker 7 (19:43):
Could you know, within abount a month of time once
or more time you would get back to the five
and five and you know, like John Harclott said, kind
of have your guys had back above water?

Speaker 17 (19:52):
Yuh, we wasn't really worried about, uh, trying to be
five and five.

Speaker 8 (19:55):
We were trying to be two and five at the time.
You know, damn three and five.

Speaker 17 (19:58):
Like we just take it one game at a time,
cause obviously we who went to five and you know
we're not used to starting slow at all. So just
had to hear about what was in front of us,
just like we did tonight.

Speaker 12 (20:11):
Football fans know that traditions matter. They're what inspire us
to make our massa in tostedos the traditional way, starting
with whole corn kernels, no artificial flavors, colors, or preservatives,
all to give you that perfect crunch. Discover your next
tradition this football season, head to the store, grab your
Tostedo's team bag and scan the code for a chance
to score an epic experience with the Baltimore Ravens Tostitos
tradition matters.

Speaker 1 (20:29):
Up next, here is linebacker Draymont Jones, who returned to Cleveland,
his hometown, to get the key pressure on the final
fourth down stop for the Rams.

Speaker 19 (20:43):
In a city I'm familiar with, it grew up in,
and then it didn't getting.

Speaker 8 (20:45):
The wine sidelines. Do you have a lot of people
in sounds that are in the game.

Speaker 19 (20:51):
Oh yeah, I had a lot of people who came
up to the game tonight. Some people I didn't even
get to see ye that are here.

Speaker 3 (20:55):
But it was good.

Speaker 19 (20:56):
I turned around and saw one of my homies in
the stands too, so it was cool.

Speaker 5 (21:00):
Cool.

Speaker 8 (21:01):
Good stadium obviously got really are you win? Suner standards?
Even what was that moment like?

Speaker 19 (21:07):
And caud that y if you guys any extra mental
you know, trying to shut 'em down? Nah it it
gave us zero e extra momentum.

Speaker 3 (21:14):
It the momentum was already there.

Speaker 19 (21:17):
Roll did a good job of just bring us together
and just just relaying the message everything is the same,
like you gonna go out there and just Q and
I thought we did a good job.

Speaker 3 (21:24):
I thought our defense played great.

Speaker 8 (21:25):
Second game here, How are you feeling like you're fitting it?

Speaker 5 (21:28):
And what have we found in the house?

Speaker 19 (21:29):
Uh, I think I'm feeling them pretty good. I think
still more things I think I need to get better at.
I questioningly for myself to I think helped maximize us.
But I think I'm fitting it in it pretty good.
I mean everybody here is thinking it easy for the players,
to coaches, to staff, like everybody's doing their job and
helped me out a while.

Speaker 18 (21:47):
Thinking about last last week, you said you had experienced
to win in a while. What's so, what's the two
wins out.

Speaker 8 (21:52):
If you're getting four fan the team.

Speaker 19 (21:53):
I've experienced two wins in a round, two wins in
a row in a while, So it's it's an amazing feeling.
Uh it's hard. It's hard to win the NFL, and uh,
when you do, it's it's great to just you know, celebrate.

Speaker 3 (22:05):
What people you you worked hard with.

Speaker 8 (22:07):
You guys were able to get to show a lot.
What were you doing out.

Speaker 19 (22:10):
Right now Russia? Yeah, that that's what I was doing.
That's what we're all doing just Russian hitting our moves
and then just finding ways to try to affect them.
Were rushing, blitzing, covering our ass off. I mean, that's
that's how we affected Shure. We'd that's how we can
affect any quarterback doing the things we're doing today.

Speaker 8 (22:27):
What was it like to see how Sad cabin door shorts.

Speaker 3 (22:31):
It's hilarious. It was hilarious. I had to join in
on the party.

Speaker 19 (22:33):
I W I don't know if you're talking to me
about correctly behind him doing that, cause it was perfect timing.
Uh but uh yeah, what.

Speaker 18 (22:40):
Was it like to see I just to get that
type of contribution from over than the years over the
house rush.

Speaker 3 (22:47):
It's huge.

Speaker 19 (22:48):
It make sure it's not so one dimensional that it's
only one or two guys getting It's like a it's
like five, six, seven, eight guys that can are getting
to the quarterback. So it it makes it hard for
teams to like pick and choose who just who to stop.

Speaker 1 (23:04):
Up next. Here's inside linebacker Roquan Smith who broke up
that pass on fourth down to end the game.

Speaker 20 (23:10):
The kaof go doat at perceptions with random A flags.

Speaker 8 (23:14):
How do you guys keep your study.

Speaker 3 (23:16):
In this game. Yeah, the mission is not complete.

Speaker 16 (23:18):
You have to control what you have to control, and
that's the way we go out and do what we do.
We can't control with the offense, do can't control what
the special teams do. But what we can't control is
how the defense plays. So that's our focus. That's always
going to be all focused and if we continue to
keep that at the front of our mind, everything will
be awesome.

Speaker 8 (23:33):
Figuring the job not being done. You guys got to
be on the field and they were threatening to score.

Speaker 13 (23:38):
What do it means to you going to be out there.

Speaker 4 (23:40):
And the shots finish this game?

Speaker 12 (23:42):
And how it's the stake to where you've.

Speaker 16 (23:44):
Come from the beginning of the see then absolutely, I
just think it's just more so as a prime example
of who we are. That's a unit who each and
every person is individually and just coming together and knowing
what the big the big goal is and that's for
us to play under one a car regardless of the circumstances,
keeping the vision clean and focus on what we have
to do, and that's all we have to focus on.

Speaker 18 (24:02):
Zach works at this year.

Speaker 19 (24:04):
What does it mean for him to be like a
call a game like we did tonight.

Speaker 16 (24:07):
It's awesome. Always had a tremendous mount of respect for
ze O. It's America, Like I said earlier in the week,
people always gonna have opinions. That's why I guess it's
the home of the free. So people are going to
voice their opinions and they have the right to do so.
But I never waver her. He never wavered, nor did
anybody in the locker room, because we knew who we
were and it was just more so about getting out
and being who we are. And the job is not complete.
The mission is not complete. We're still on task.

Speaker 18 (24:28):
You take us through those last few plays, the pass,
break up by Jado and then your final tap.

Speaker 16 (24:33):
Yeah. Absolutely, it was just more so doing my job,
she know, doing his one or eleven, Me doing my
one or eleven on the play, and like everybody doing
their job. And that's when it comes time, when the
hard hat falls on you, you step up and you
face it, put your face in the fan.

Speaker 15 (24:47):
I guess just got to sugar, I guess what if you.

Speaker 19 (24:51):
I know some guys are saying that, like let's cool
together and see I'm getting a chance, Like for you guys,
to get that job.

Speaker 20 (24:56):
Done against for tonight.

Speaker 8 (24:57):
It's a rookie. It's a rookie.

Speaker 16 (24:58):
At the end of the day, when you play rooking
this league, you have to let him know they are rookies.

Speaker 8 (25:02):
Like that's just that's just what it is.

Speaker 16 (25:04):
Like as a defense, a rookie should never be able
to do crazy things on like a defense, specially with
the amount of guys we have here. And that's just
like how I look at it. With all due respect
to him, I think he's a great player. I think
he's gonna be a great player. Got a lot of
respect for his family as well and Gabriel as well.
At the end of the day, they're rookies, and so
rookies coming into the league. Every defense should feel that

(25:24):
way their rookie people.

Speaker 8 (25:26):
People have given your percent every play.

Speaker 5 (25:29):
What does all the heights going and le team.

Speaker 12 (25:31):
And what's peppering this step?

Speaker 8 (25:33):
That feel like you guys this rising news out there.

Speaker 3 (25:36):
Absolutely absolutely not.

Speaker 16 (25:38):
The mission is the mission and the mission wasn't complete
regardless of who's out there. Could have put Sebanski at quarterback,
Like regardless, we have to play all brand of football
and that's.

Speaker 21 (25:45):
Just what it is.

Speaker 16 (25:46):
And like he was the next man up, wishing Gabriel
speedy recovery, and you know, so on and so forth.
But we just have to control we can control, and
that's how we go about our business.

Speaker 1 (25:58):
Here's fullback Patrick Riccard, who helped kick out a blacker
or defender to free Mark Andrews for his long game
winning touchdown run.

Speaker 14 (26:07):
They were almost like, I don't think he knew what
was happening, so I thought it was like a dead lag,
and all of a sudden he turned around and said, Mark,
and I'm just trying to run as fast again. Frohm
just credits to Mark for seeing the look and going
forward and just you know, just racing.

Speaker 10 (26:22):
The end zone looking back. Do you think he was
standing there because he didn't want to meet you head
on and that I think.

Speaker 14 (26:27):
I think it's just because, like I think he was
just focused on the sneak, and then I think Lamar
and Dark went the other way, so I think he
was kind of like by the time I got on him,
I don't know if you really knew what was happening,
and I didn't neither.

Speaker 4 (26:38):
So how many times do you think you guys have
practiced practiced that exact play?

Speaker 14 (26:43):
We just put it in this week's practiced a couple
of times.

Speaker 3 (26:47):
So yeah, So when you hear it being called, is
there any kind of good th No?

Speaker 14 (26:54):
No, no, And then the moment you're just locked in,
you're just just listening to the call, gatlandup as as you
can and just try to just play the playout.

Speaker 6 (27:03):
Is there ever a sense of uh going to the sea.

Speaker 14 (27:09):
If they had, if they had another certain look, we
were checking in to a sneak.

Speaker 6 (27:11):
So if you have a sense here, I'm kind of
play I was playing around in the first day.

Speaker 5 (27:20):
Uh, I don't know.

Speaker 14 (27:21):
I don't know what would have happened if we checked
out of it, but I'm happy we didn't.

Speaker 3 (27:24):
So sorry, was a kid wrong?

Speaker 10 (27:28):
Yeah?

Speaker 14 (27:28):
Did you have a sense that would be a It
all depended on it. Just it depended on how my
guy played it. Like you know, if if you was
tend making this or we knew it could have been
a big play. It's just a matter of how they
played it and the look they gave us, and everything
just worked out perfectly for us.

Speaker 5 (27:44):
How big was Charlie? There you saying the right seat?

Speaker 14 (27:50):
Oh yeah, that's what I'm saying. Like there's there's so
many other factors that just live blocking my guy.

Speaker 8 (27:55):
On the matt.

Speaker 3 (27:55):
I don't know, I don't know how good.

Speaker 14 (27:57):
I'm assuming he did a great job because there was
a giant opening, So credit to him, credit to Roger
and on that side of the ball, assuming that great
blocks is obviously I didn't say it.

Speaker 10 (28:08):
So well, would you think, Okay, does it make this
any more special than its marking?

Speaker 3 (28:13):
Yes?

Speaker 14 (28:14):
Yeah, especially him breaking the the was it all time
receiving yards?

Speaker 3 (28:19):
Yeah?

Speaker 14 (28:19):
I think it's just an exclamation mark on on that record.
And we all know how important is here as a teammate,
as a person, and I'm just really happy that he
made that play for us that.

Speaker 5 (28:31):
You know, is it called hurricane because he does a
little spin at the start.

Speaker 3 (28:35):
I don't know why they called it that. Maybe maybe
that's what.

Speaker 10 (28:38):
Did you think of his speed as takeoff after.

Speaker 3 (28:41):
A turnout corner?

Speaker 14 (28:43):
I think it was pretty good. I don't I wonder
what the number was. Curious if he got past twenty
miles an hour and you're always like just jazz each
other about like our miles per hour because obviously I'm
the slowest guy in the round.

Speaker 10 (28:56):
So cool? Was this frustrating at times, just what they're
doing defensive blades and the plays Garrot was making or.

Speaker 14 (29:07):
I mean it can be at times, but we know
there were a great defense, and we knew that they
weren't going to make it easier for us. And we
know that Miles is just a generational talent. He's gonna
make plays. Just a matter of us just sticking together
and just grinding it out and knowing plays will happen.
I'm glad they they did at the end.

Speaker 1 (29:26):
So up next here is kicker Tyler Loop who went
into a tough place to kick in Cleveland and hit
some big early field goals for this Ravens team.

Speaker 8 (29:40):
Place to kick?

Speaker 12 (29:42):
What does it mean to get the comfort.

Speaker 8 (29:43):
And so it's a big hope.

Speaker 20 (29:44):
It was awesome. It was funny. My my fiance had
a bachelor and bridal shower this weekend and I was
talking he was like, honestly, I'm kind of nervous, and
we just kind of talked just like yeah, like I'll
be praying for you and and he kind of talked
about that a little bit over text, and like got
to the stadium, I was like, I feel shockingly calm today.

(30:07):
So that was fun. But we got here and I
went out to kick, and I was like, honestly, like
if I just hit the ball we've been talking about
and sticking with our process that we've built, like felt
really good about making kicks tonight, so.

Speaker 6 (30:23):
To do that, like any self conditions, He's obviously swirling
all of that and took out there and kicked.

Speaker 3 (30:30):
Yeah, commas.

Speaker 20 (30:33):
It just like it just keeps building, right, Like talk
about all the time between Nick Jordan and I, like
the more reps we get at that, the better we feel.
And like that's why we got so many this week
into that win. To practice was just challenging ourselves that way.
So when we got here, it.

Speaker 19 (30:48):
Was like, all right, like we're good, we can make
these kicks.

Speaker 1 (30:54):
Last but not least here is punt returner and wide
receiver was Jonte Western.

Speaker 21 (31:00):
Definitely was a experience today. I haven't left the ball
since probably my freshman year of college. But when you
were the team like the Raiding Nests, you got brothers
that's gonna have your back and times of adversity, and
the defense came through for me. They held 'em to

(31:22):
only three three points, so it wasn't a big transition.
So it definitely was a learning experience. I know now
that when the ball's in the air, that's mine's and
I got the whole organization on my back, so I
got a protect it with my life.

Speaker 3 (31:39):
What happened on the on the one that down on
your own end.

Speaker 6 (31:43):
There that you that you do enough and it looks
like you were kind of track trying having trouble tracking it,
and it obviously quindy.

Speaker 21 (31:50):
What happened, Well, I I think I've tracked it pretty good.
Just I kind of took my eyes off the ball
to see if I had room to return, and when
I look back up, it kind of the curved on me.
So I tried to adjust the last minute, and yeah,
I I ended up muffling.

Speaker 5 (32:05):
At those tough conditions, which type.

Speaker 21 (32:07):
Thing not not really tough conditions, uh cause I donet
played then worse, But I think it was just my
my focus. I I took my ads off the ball.
When you back there and the ball your kid in
the air, you gotta lock in on the ball, uh,
and gotta trust your guys blocking. So I took my
oles off the ball, and I ain't the muffling ball to.

Speaker 10 (32:26):
Ain't it to final line between me and aggressive and
you know, just taking balls out and tryna make plays.

Speaker 5 (32:32):
And you feel good the ball too, Like how difficult
is that decision to make?

Speaker 11 (32:35):
Cause you see room to make a play, but you
also know that you know made.

Speaker 21 (32:39):
Me to touch back though I didn't know I caught
it on out of two until I got to the sideline.
That just but like I say, I trust my my,
my guys, that's blocking.

Speaker 8 (32:49):
For me, and he kicked a pretty uh returnable ball
to me.

Speaker 21 (32:52):
I feel like I'm a type player to be able
to change flip the field and yeah, that's that's.

Speaker 10 (32:59):
That one that you were there on the next support
Do you feel like kind of shows faith in you?

Speaker 11 (33:03):
Wass you know that would stick with you for New
York State?

Speaker 5 (33:05):
Oh?

Speaker 21 (33:06):
Yeah, I I feel like my coaches believe in me.
I feel like my teammates believe in me.

Speaker 8 (33:10):
I mean, it's football at any day.

Speaker 21 (33:12):
It's not gonna be perfect all the time. Of course
you would never we would we never want that to happen,
But it's football. It's gonna happen sometime.

Speaker 6 (33:20):
Is there any sense of relief when you caught the
next one?

Speaker 9 (33:22):
Uh?

Speaker 21 (33:23):
Nah, I would I d I really wouldn't sweating at
at that much like, yeah, I didn't want a muffet,
but it's football, like I said, next play mentality.

Speaker 18 (33:31):
But before the game, there was like, uh, on the
big screen picture of you and Shad or m you know,
saying that y'all went to college. You how do you
balance you know, being happy for him making this NFL
that view made a couple of players, and then also
cheering for your your treas.

Speaker 21 (33:43):
Uh, it's real, it's real easy, you feel me, It's real,
it's real easy. Uh.

Speaker 8 (33:48):
I play with the Ravens. He played with the Browns.

Speaker 21 (33:50):
Uh, I could call him after he throw he throw
the but but nah, I I played with the Ravens.
So when I have a Raven, jennifor I'm all I'm
all Raven when I get home. I showed him a
taste A call him and I let him know how
proud I even know.

Speaker 18 (34:07):
And then just considering all the emotions in the game,
it was your reaction, you know, when Morgan Andrews takes that,
that's in the house.

Speaker 21 (34:13):
We got to win.

Speaker 8 (34:14):
He did what you're supposed to do.

Speaker 21 (34:16):
It was a great play call at the right time,
and he executed the play. The whole offense executed the play.

Speaker 3 (34:22):
Appreciate it man, Thank you.

Speaker 1 (34:26):
