Speaker 1 (00:02):
Welcome into the Ravens Press Pass Podcast. The Ravens took
down the Miami Dolphins twenty eight to six tonight. After
the game, we heard from head coach John Harball.

Speaker 2 (00:11):
I told the team, but this is the Warriors psalm,
and this is something we talked about, but basically says.

Speaker 3 (00:17):
You will not fear the terror of the night.

Speaker 2 (00:19):
You know, the arrow that flies by day, or the
pestilence that stalks in darkness, It will not come near
you because you have made the Lord your dwelling place.
Our guys, our guys kept faith and they showed a
lot of toughness, a lot of courage, faith and guts.

Speaker 3 (00:33):
And that's what it takes.

Speaker 2 (00:34):
It takes belief in it takes toughness, it takes faith,
and it takes guts. And I'm proud of our guys
for that. We had two games that we needed to
win in four days and they were absolute must wins
both of those two games. And for our guys to
step up the way they did and to step out
the way they did, and to play the kind of
football they did with their backs to the wall on

(00:55):
the canvas, all right, and you get back up and
do what they did is commendable. And it just means
we're two games under five hundred, that's all it means.
But we're two games under five hundred, right, we were
four games under five hundred. So that's that's where we're at.

Speaker 3 (01:09):
Now.

Speaker 2 (01:09):
We'll get a couple extra days and uh, we'll get
ready for Minnesota and Minnesota, Uh, the second leg of
our of our three game road journey here. So proud
of the guys and UH, proud of the faith that
they showed. What question do you have you know, the
more the first.

Speaker 4 (01:24):
Game then yeah, over thirty days, did you do you
have anything to say to him after.

Speaker 2 (01:29):
I said, it's been a long journey, man, it's been.

Speaker 3 (01:31):
It's been.

Speaker 2 (01:31):
It's been a hard road, you know, and not just
the just not just the thirty days, but but even
before that, you know, and Uh, and Uh, I'm proud
of him. I'm proud of the way he came out
and played, you know, and proud of the way Tyler
played last week. Both those two guys played a lot
of t Martin deserves a lot of credit, you know,
he did a great job with those guys, and UH
and Monk and the offensive coaches. I thought that I
thought the game plan. I thought, with what we've done

(01:52):
with the offense the last two weeks has been really
really really good, really really excellent, so we got to
keep building off that.

Speaker 5 (02:00):
The defense had multiple turnovers today and since the buye
they've been producing turnovers. Just what can you say about
how they responded.

Speaker 2 (02:09):
I think the defense played great. I mean, just you
know all the things that you talked about. We we
talked about the ball assaults we call it. We hadn't
had enough of them. We've been trying, but we couldn't
get the ball. And if to get the three today
first time, I think we've gotten multiple turnovers probably in
a game that was that was really big. And to
see the way we did it, I mean we had
two guys that caused fumbles and recover the fumbles and
then to throw the ball deep down the field. Mallechi

(02:30):
had to make that play deep. That's why we drafted him,
you know, cause that's what he does and for him
to make that play was really really UH way to
close the game out for sure.

Speaker 6 (02:38):
Uh.

Speaker 2 (02:38):
I think Zach's doing a great job. I mean, Zach
holding those guys together, keeping this poise, never flinching, always
coaching all the details and all the guys I mean yeah,
I mean, you know, Chuck and Double D and Dennis
and and TOOC and UH and Matt. Those guys are
just doing a great job.

Speaker 7 (02:53):
You what, in particular do you think change with the
offensive approach in the second half. What were you kind
of able to do to get a rhythm offensively in
that third quarter?

Speaker 2 (03:03):
Yeah, I think we just didn't get backed up, you know,
we we were backed up a little bit on the
change a couple of times. We got backed up in
field position once or twice between the second quarter and
the third quarter. Lamar had the big scramble that got
us out of trouble there. I think in the on
the first drive, I think it was and that was
that was probably the key play of the whole game, probably,
you know, because if not, you're backing, you're kind of

(03:23):
in that second quarter mode still. And that's what Lamar
can do and that's what he did. Had a great game.
I mean, four touchdown passes. You think about the resiliency
of the of the of the whole game by the team.
You think about Lamar making plays like that, think about
the extended plays that were made there. Then in the
red zone, and not just Lamar, but guys like Bait
Bait working to get open late on that on that

(03:44):
first touchdown pass, and Mark working to get open late
later on touchdown pass, on extended plays and then within drives.
Our our offensive ability to finish drives, to convert, get
ahead of change after the second quarter, first quarter, and
third quarter, then fourth quarter, and to extend drives. That's
that's a that's resiliency, you know, throughout the drives and
then even within the plays. And I thought our defense

(04:04):
showed the same thing. That's a tough offense to defend.
I want you to know that that's that's a good
football team. They're very well coached both sides of the ball.
Thought we've had a great game plan, and I thought
I thought Mike had a great game plan. I mean,
these guys are hard to defend. They do some really
tough things. They do some things that really challenge your defense,
challenge your eyes, put you in tough spots. The angles
are really are really are really tough, The timing is tough,

(04:27):
and uh and uh and and they're really well coached.
I mean, they do a great job so for our
defense to hang in there to make and make plays
and get off the field when they had to, especially
in the red zone.

Speaker 3 (04:36):
Was was really important.

Speaker 6 (04:39):
Gelman and the strip how they just was that from
to your point about that and why has.

Speaker 3 (04:45):
He been why is he is he.

Speaker 8 (04:49):
Played so well? Because why is he fitting.

Speaker 3 (04:51):
You so well?

Speaker 9 (04:53):
Well?

Speaker 2 (04:53):
It was to your point, it was a great play.
I mean that that play, that play got him stopped.
I mean it wasn't didn't feel like we were stopping
him at that point. And that's that's what I'm saying.
They're hard to defend, and you got to do that.
You got to come up with some plays. And here
there he was. He came up with the playing. Guy's
got to come up with plays, right, Teddy. I mean,
guy's got to make plays, and he makes a play
so that I think that's part of it, because he
really is that kind of a of a player. But
also the fact that he's and you probably say this, Teddy,

(05:15):
he's just he's so aware, he understands the defense so well.
Aren't smart he makes He makes a lot of calls
and adjustments. He kind of calms everything down out there
and gets us in the right spot, especially with an
offense like that, with all those motions. Uh, you got
to have guys him and Kyle and Marlin. They do
a great job in the back end.

Speaker 3 (05:32):
Two more coach.

Speaker 7 (05:33):
A slow start for the tight ends this season, but
to see you know, Isaiah come back, you know markin dude, Charlie,
you know pass obviously it makes their what it tonight
reminds you about what this group can do for a
dass game. That makes the rue game to go.

Speaker 2 (05:48):
I think that's a great point, Jonas. I mean to
see those guys come alive, and he knew they were there.
It's just a matter of getting him the ball. And
we were able to get him the ball and play
action a number of times behind the linebackers, which was
big for us, all three of those guys, you know,
Charlie at the end. Then Isaiah had the big third
down conversion. So, uh, you know, we want to be
able to spread it around and go to everybody, and.

Speaker 3 (06:10):
You know, I think that's that's where we want to
be players.

Speaker 2 (06:14):
You know, not been out there for that long with
White Lamar, I'm sure there's always the turnative.

Speaker 3 (06:18):
They are gonna be rough, FEUs or whatever. And you
sense and I know he didn't practice a lot this
week getting right for the game. Could you sense that
he was gonna be this sharp in this game?

Speaker 6 (06:28):
Team?

Speaker 3 (06:28):
Yeah, because he was.

Speaker 2 (06:29):
He was at sharp mentally all week, and he was
at sharp on Tuesday when we went fast half the practice.
We went fast on Tuesday, and uh and he was,
he was lights out. He was he was impressive. So
I was pretty pretty optimistic that he was gonna play well.
All right, Yeah, I just get the wait, get a
weight off his foot in his ankle a little bit
at the end. Then we did that we're going to

(06:51):
take some more guys out on defense, But didn't come
to that.

Speaker 1 (06:53):
So next up we heard from quarterback Lamar.

Speaker 3 (06:58):
Jackson's thirty some days. Uh did it?

Speaker 7 (07:03):
Do?

Speaker 3 (07:03):
You don't like that else there? Yeah? A little bit. UHM,
I just said this out there.

Speaker 10 (07:08):
Uh I missed a passed the bait like the first drive,
so I it was going through my mind the whole game.

Speaker 3 (07:14):
But yeah, school, we got the dug.

Speaker 1 (07:18):
What was going to your mind just like that you
had played bug you had to shake it off.

Speaker 8 (07:22):
Or what was going to your mind? Uh?

Speaker 3 (07:24):
I just wanted to put points on the board, you know.

Speaker 10 (07:26):
I didn't wanna start off too slow, you know, after
that play happened, I was ready to go.

Speaker 3 (07:31):
It kind of tipped me off a little bit.

Speaker 9 (07:33):
How much did your scramble the the first drive of
the second half and do you kind of took off
on that third down and pick that out?

Speaker 7 (07:38):
How much did that kind of help get you guys
go any day?

Speaker 10 (07:41):
You know, I actually thought that was a lineman that
would chase me. That's why I wasn't really going. Then
I find it was a line back. I'm not I
shoulda I shoulda took off for real, but uh uh,
I feel like it. H it helped out a little bit,
you know, got us going, and I think we scored capitalized,
scored another uh touch down after Yeah, yo.

Speaker 4 (07:58):
Though, I mean you you you know one, I'm sure
you what be out there, You're watching your team and
then you finally get after your first game back, you
throw four dutchdowns.

Speaker 3 (08:05):
It's awesome. Like you said, you know, I just wanted
to get out there with my guys.

Speaker 10 (08:08):
Uh shoot a Texans game, you know what. Unfortunately I couldn't.
But it's just great to be back.

Speaker 8 (08:14):
Man.

Speaker 3 (08:14):
Like I said, get a dog.

Speaker 6 (08:18):
On that third down to likely you can play totally
short past the first half they kind of have a
hold of you when you scramble away, as it looked
like you kind of pulled the pulled away and obviously
you're able to make the throw. Didn't that kind of
feel good given the you know, the handburn.

Speaker 3 (08:33):
Gettinger and all that be for. Yeah, yeah, it feel great.
It feel great. I didn't have any problems. I was
feeling good out there.

Speaker 11 (08:40):
How are you halftime?

Speaker 5 (08:42):
You guys started bast came out score. Was there a
shift that occurred like during halftime a message or did
you just feel more comfortable?

Speaker 8 (08:50):
Oh?

Speaker 10 (08:51):
I just felt a little comfortable and our guys was
just ready to score, you know, shout out to the acelon.
They did great, all faces, all scale position, Uh and
I running backs. Guys were just locked down and wanted
to put points on the board cause we wanted to
scor it twice first half.

Speaker 5 (09:04):
How big were the tight ends? I mean, I think
it's Spark Andrew's, Charlie Cole and Isaya like DD had.

Speaker 8 (09:11):
Some big place.

Speaker 3 (09:12):
Yeah, I is played a huge game for us.

Speaker 10 (09:16):
Uh, Like you said, all of those guys, Charlie Mark
likely man, they do it all block and catch the ball,
run sometimes you know, shout out to those guys. Little
played a wonderful game.

Speaker 9 (09:26):
Mark, you're talking.

Speaker 7 (09:27):
About the first throw the babeman on third and like
three in your first Yeah, oh.

Speaker 3 (09:31):
Okay, yeah, I didn't like that. He beat 'em. He
beat the receiver. And we was doing that the whole
week in practice. I don't know.

Speaker 10 (09:37):
I try to do it drop a little bit so mechanic, mechanically,
I feel like that's why the balls off.

Speaker 8 (09:42):
Are you a field of momentum? Of the steam building
a little bit?

Speaker 7 (09:45):
I mean, it was only six days ago when you
guys were one and five and there were questions about
your health and your status.

Speaker 8 (09:51):
Can you feel I it in the locker room and
and even on.

Speaker 3 (09:54):
The practice field.

Speaker 7 (09:55):
That's Deem started to Gallux.

Speaker 3 (09:56):
Of the Mendella. Yeah, I mean it's it's door die.

Speaker 10 (09:58):
You know, winna go home usually, you know, we start
off when winning games and we never be behind, or
right now we behind.

Speaker 3 (10:04):
And we all gotta step it up or Marks.

Speaker 7 (10:07):
We just feel like your guys season would be over
in anyway. But you saying this is gonna be rid
if you guys lost the night.

Speaker 10 (10:13):
No, like I said, we locked in, you know, we
knowing this door die gotta go out there and play football.
We can't rab about mistakes, you know, cause mistakes happen
you're in the NFL. Things like that gonnaccur. But we
just gotta move on to keep doing what we doing.

Speaker 8 (10:24):
Two more of 'em, La Mari.

Speaker 5 (10:25):
I know, uh, you wanna get away no matter what.
But how nice was it to get one here in
South Florida. I think they had like sixty or something
people here just doing that with your teammates.

Speaker 3 (10:35):
I was hope he got an end zone. Uh but uh,
last time, we can't.

Speaker 10 (10:39):
We played down here like twenty twenty one Thursday night,
Yeah cause I think we played in Minnesota then played
the Dolphins and we lost. Uh, So we wasn't tryna
let that happen again. Some of the guys was on
the team, but I just felt like I couldn't lose
this game, you know, coming down here and performing in
front of the crowd again.

Speaker 3 (10:55):
But shout out to everyone on our team, cause we
got the dog awright people, Yeah.

Speaker 8 (11:01):
That I know of.

Speaker 3 (11:02):
I don't know.

Speaker 10 (11:03):
Should I believe I see some familiar faces when I
was just hot there so, but I don't know.

Speaker 3 (11:09):
I wasn't read about that. I was trying to win alright.

Speaker 1 (11:16):
Next we heard from linebacker Tab you can't.

Speaker 7 (11:20):
I just heard John say that these were two must
week games for this team. Was that the message even
last yek or was it still what you want to
what everyone?

Speaker 5 (11:30):
Kind of mentality?

Speaker 7 (11:30):
Did you guys look at these games?

Speaker 3 (11:32):
Packet your first step.

Speaker 4 (11:33):
Now, it's definitely a one to know mindset. You know,
playing this league, I've learned quickly that yeah, it's it's
one game at a time. You know, every team is
extremely talented, extremely well coached. So uh, yeah, it was
one game at a time, and you know it's gonna
continue to be that as we you know, go down
the back half of the season, and this is your
first season in the NFL.

Speaker 1 (11:54):
What is it shoot out to you about the way
this team has been resilient and you know kind of
the back against the wall mentality to come out or
play a little whether.

Speaker 11 (12:03):
This last two years.

Speaker 4 (12:04):
Yeah, I mean with the type of guys that we have,
I think you know that their play on the field
speaks for itself, but you know, just the type of
men and leaders that we have on the team, I'm
not surprised at all coming in as a rookie getting
to learn from from guys like Row, Kyle Marlin. You know,
that's just to name a few, just getting to learn
from them and seeing what type of guys they are.

(12:25):
I'm not surprised at all the way we fought these
last two games, but we have a lot of a
lot more work to do and we'll continue to do that.

Speaker 7 (12:33):
You know, six days ago things are pretty low with
the team's record, and I certainly you got the quarterback.

Speaker 3 (12:39):
Can you feel a momentum is it?

Speaker 7 (12:40):
Could you feel in the locker room? Could you feel
in the practice field?

Speaker 3 (12:44):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (12:44):
I mean winning always feels good, so to get to
in a row definitely, say the vibes are higher. But
like I said, we have we have a lot more
work to do. Yeah, and we'll get started on Minnesota soon.

Speaker 5 (12:56):
Coach just mentioned you were Rookie of the Month.

Speaker 1 (12:58):
What's been clicking for you?

Speaker 4 (13:02):
I mean, my teammates and my coaches around me make
it make it super easy for me.

Speaker 12 (13:07):
Uh.

Speaker 4 (13:07):
They put me in really good spots and you know,
just the trust that they having me allows me to
play free, allows me to play fast and yeah, I
mean when we got to the offense, playing how they've played,
it makes things easy for me, So I just do
my job and let the rest take care of itself.

Speaker 7 (13:24):
How much lift did it to see Lamar back and playing.

Speaker 3 (13:27):
As well as he is today?

Speaker 4 (13:29):
Yeah, it feels great to see Lamar. You know, Lamar
is a guy I've been watching since I was, you know, teenager,
young kid. So to see him and to know that
he's our quarterback gives our defense extreme confidence, uh, knowing
what our offense is gonna do.

Speaker 3 (13:44):
And yeah, it's hard not to feel good we have
Lamar Jackson out there.

Speaker 7 (13:48):
Is your first time going through the gauntlet of a
short leaguers.

Speaker 3 (13:53):
In that game?

Speaker 7 (13:54):
What how does it kind of challenge you and how
did you kind.

Speaker 3 (13:57):
Of react to ast? Yeah?

Speaker 4 (14:01):
I mean I thought it was I thought it was fun.
You know, you get to play two football games in
five days or whatever it is. It's kind of reminds
me of when you have a test coming up and
you know you've got to study real quick for it.
But uh, you know that sometimes pushes you to study
harder and to prepare, you know, as best as you can.
And that's really what these games are about, is especially

(14:21):
as Thursday games, preparation and energy and physicality. So I
thought we did a good job of bringing that on
a short week.

Speaker 7 (14:28):
Teddy, We're starting to see the focus on to creating
turnovers and do you feel like that can be contagious
when you know you start your start seeing guys get
the ball out and carry over.

Speaker 3 (14:38):
The rest of the defense. Yeah.

Speaker 4 (14:39):
Absolutely, that's always a focus of our defense and you know,
to get some to get three tonight, it definitely is
contagious and we'll look to continue to spread that if
you will.

Speaker 13 (14:51):
Coming up, football fans know that traditions matter. They're what
inspire us to make ar masa and tostedos the traditional way,
starting with whole corn kernels, no artificial flavors, colors or
preserve it. It's all to give you that discover your
next tradition this football season. Head to the store, grab
your Tostedos team bag and scan the code for a
chance to score an epic experience with the Baltimore Ravens.
Tostedos tradition matters.

Speaker 1 (15:10):
The locker room. We heard from a handful of players,
including safety ALOGI Yeah.

Speaker 9 (15:15):
I mean, you know, getting two wins in ten days
is obviously huge for the confidence of the team, but
just just as a whole the mentality getting back on
mentality to win. And obviously I came in in a
weird time and I wasn't able to experience the first chapter.
But it has been cool to be here and see
everyone's shifting their mindset to win in football, which is

(15:37):
what is ingrained in this place, and I'm just happy
to be a part of it and just be a
person that can help and contribute the best that I
can do.

Speaker 8 (15:43):
You think that helped you away? You know you were
here for the Straws, were.

Speaker 3 (15:52):
Take me trying to a similarly pretty well into the.

Speaker 9 (15:55):
Screw Yeah, I think it definitely gives me a different perspective.
You know, I'm coming in with a whole other perspective.
I didn't experience those same experiences they experienced earlier. So
the way I'm approaching it is how can I make
this team the best that I can be? What is
my role and how do I do the best that
I can to bring this whole thing to life? And
I think that's where we're at right now. We're in

(16:17):
a good trajectory and we got a lot of ball left,
but we're gonna celebrate this one and just keep it.

Speaker 8 (16:22):
Rolling from here. I beg you can dolemitum and the
season change first, yeah and whatever.

Speaker 9 (16:29):
Yeah, I mean, the NFL is is a crazy game.
It's a crazy business to be a part of. One
day you'll be on the West Coast and next day
you'll be in the East Coast. And I'm just happy
to be a part of this team. You know, it's
as a winning culture. Coach Harball and the rest of
the staff do a great job, and I'm just gonna
focus on what I got to do to be the
best version of myself. And if it's being around the

(16:51):
ball constantly giving good energy, being a be a patrol
guy back there, That's what I'm gonna do.

Speaker 8 (16:56):
And you know, I just can't wait for the future.

Speaker 1 (17:00):
You're the takeaway you know early in the game the team.

Speaker 8 (17:04):
Yeah, I know, I think it's I think it's huge.

Speaker 9 (17:06):
You know, anyone who gets a take away early, it
just starts that momentum, takes that momentum early, offense capitalized
on it with the score, and it gets everyone in
that rhythm, that flow, you know what I mean, where
you're aggressive, you're aggressive.

Speaker 8 (17:19):
And that's just the only thing you're thinking about.

Speaker 9 (17:21):
So yeah, there's some things we could clean up, but
mentality wise, I think we brought it the right way
and we kept it.

Speaker 8 (17:27):
You know, the whole the rest of the game.

Speaker 3 (17:29):
Meaning when you I'm sure you go in practice, but.

Speaker 11 (17:35):
He hasn't played thirty some days, and he goes out.

Speaker 3 (17:37):
There and throws.

Speaker 8 (17:40):
Well.

Speaker 9 (17:40):
In my experience in the past playing this guy, you
have some long nights before the games.

Speaker 8 (17:46):
So I'm happy to be on his team.

Speaker 9 (17:48):
And I know the guys who are going against him
are probably going through the same experiences. So obviously he's
a great win, a great job by him. He's obviously
an m VP for a reason. And you know, it's
just the beginning. And I feel like he's getting comfortable
back and getting into his groove, and that's just the beginning.

Speaker 8 (18:06):
So where can't we go? Skyt's limit flying around out there?
How do you feel like that?

Speaker 3 (18:12):
Partners?

Speaker 8 (18:14):
Oh, I mean, it's like riding a bike.

Speaker 9 (18:16):
It's like two uh two homeboys playing pick up at
the at the YMCA. So me and KHM just picked
up where we left off. We obviously connect on the
different level because we have some experiences together. We're similar personalities.
I don't know if it's the notre dame in US.
But you know that connection is easy and I'm just
happy to be around him. He's one of the best,

(18:37):
if not the best, guy in the league, and to
be around him, to make plays with them, I'm just
having the blast doing it.

Speaker 7 (18:44):
Harp said that Lamar was lights out on Tuesday. I'm
not sure how much how much eyes you got on
him during the practice, but did anything stand up and
you watch him and your kind of first full.

Speaker 9 (18:53):
Go yeah, yeah, I mean, it's just the confidence, man.
It's the confidence is to approach. It's the mentality that
he brings, and it's what he brings to the rest
of the offense as well. Obviously his talent on the field,
but the mentality, the confidence he brings around and he
elevates everybody. I think that's pretty pretty cool to be
to see playing against him, but being first hand experienced

(19:15):
being around him, He's just himself and he's a beast,
and I'm happy he's my quarterback.

Speaker 8 (19:24):
In what way the name of years, Yeah, I mean
I've explained it.

Speaker 9 (19:32):
When I first got traded here, he's was the young
freshman and now was a senior. So I've seen him
grow and develop. I helped him in a way to
get to that place, but not taking the credit.

Speaker 8 (19:43):
He is who he is.

Speaker 9 (19:45):
But I think we're just like minded people. The way
that we approach the game, uh, the way that we
taught communicate. And he's a calm mannered, confident, flying around guy,
and I feel like I'm the same way. So when
you have that too, the chemistry on the field is easy.
And I played with a bunch of different safeties. We're
being out there with him and it's got to be

(20:06):
one of the best to be around because it's easy.
He makes the game easy. We do it for each other.
We hope each other out and it shows on the field.

Speaker 1 (20:16):
Actually heard from a tight end Charlie.

Speaker 11 (20:18):
Kohler, Well, we're not one in five, so that's a
lot better. Three and five stillane great, But I'm trying
to take it one game at time, and I think,
like the important thing is, you know, it's so easy
to like get like lost in the lost and the losses,
and then you get lost in the wins like two high.

(20:40):
So well, the important thing is like, all right, just
keep going, you know. Common thing we always say is
like it's never as bad as you think. It is
never as good as you think it is. I'm sure
look at the tape. There's some bad stuff we got
to fix in the room. But uh, obviously I love
being part of this team, a special group which you
keep getting better. Well, yes, I did that much. It

(21:00):
was pretty awesome, he schemed, so uh it was pretty open.
So uh, you know, Monk did a great job and Travin,
Danny and everyone who does red zone, they did a
great job.

Speaker 8 (21:09):
And uh.

Speaker 11 (21:11):
Kind of dropped me when I went told the down
block and then Lamar found me. Was great. You you
stumbled a little bit?

Speaker 1 (21:16):
Did you got gotta get tripped up?

Speaker 7 (21:18):
All?

Speaker 11 (21:18):
Was that attention out just to lead athleticism. I'm just kidding.
I almost felt because it almost felt is coinmbarrassing, but
it kind of worked. Honestly, I think they kind of
dropped me, so I might do it on purpose next time,
but it kind of.

Speaker 14 (21:28):
Worked to respond with six straight first downs, you know,
coming out of a second half that were only four
in the first seven kind of statement.

Speaker 11 (21:38):
Yeah, we were super inoffish in the first half. I
think we had three three and ounce that's not what
we want to be as an offense. And so like,
it feels great to get a win. It's awesome. Enjoy
the fishing on a short week, you know, get to
enjoy a little breather on the weekend. Uh, but yeah,
I got look at the tape. We gotta be better
on assignments all across the board. We gotall be better,
more physical upfront, A line tight ends. I keep getting better.

(21:58):
You know, camp thirty fist and mess repeatedly.

Speaker 4 (22:01):
I apologize You've been asked this before, But what does
it say about Lamar Jackson?

Speaker 3 (22:06):
He misses like thirty some days and he comes out
and throw a sports much jump.

Speaker 11 (22:11):
It's pretty unbelievable. Someone I look back, there is Lamar
and Derek. I'm like lovely. Uh you see him catch
the the toss and without sweet good hands there soft mets,
great golfer.

Speaker 8 (22:21):
Uh.

Speaker 11 (22:22):
What was a question about.

Speaker 3 (22:24):
Lamar missing thirty some days and first came back four touch.

Speaker 11 (22:29):
I've still never seen him eat. I don't think he's
a human. Uh, he's just like I think, thank God
just created like a I think he messed up and
put like too much goodness in one person in at
football because he's pretty unbelievable. It's like, obviously he's like
maybe the best athlete on the field. And then also
he's so efficient and good with his throws and he's

(22:51):
come on man, and uh, guy, I love my old lineman.
I just think he's he's unbelievable, you know, Like I
was saying, like, obviously we believe in Coop and Snooped
and uh, but still having your MVP back is like
it's just brings and holding the level of confidence the
team into the offense.

Speaker 1 (23:08):
The next up, we heard from linebacker rouquand Smith brook one,
what does this win meet for the team?

Speaker 12 (23:14):
Just another step in the direction that we know we're
on our way too. So I think it was just
part of the process that we're all on excited about it.
Great win on Thursday night in front of the world
and then on a short week, just shows how resilient
we are. But it's just want to over for this week.
So enjoyed for the night and know a little bit
for the weekend and then we're on to the next opponent.

Speaker 1 (23:32):
Brook one, You guys were able to get takeaways in
tonight's games and defense, what does that do? How does
that just help the entire team? We were able to
get your hands on the football in bet it.

Speaker 12 (23:39):
Was amazing, man, myself beat them up ball. I owe
the entire organization man for that drop pick.

Speaker 8 (23:44):
That was the layup.

Speaker 12 (23:44):
I don't know how many of you would get like
that in the career. But despite that, yeah, really bad
on my behalf. But for the other guys, man, I'm
extremely happy for those guys being able to get the
ball about and also just staying in tough on fourth
thound as well, and then logan around the ball Teddy
as well, Marlin, all those guys, and obviously with the
lake Pig with Malachi is one of the best things

(24:05):
he do is catch the ball out of the sky.
So excited about that, cited about where we're going, but
it's just as part of the process.

Speaker 1 (24:11):
You guys have been really good in red zone situations.

Speaker 11 (24:14):
You were again tonight.

Speaker 1 (24:15):
How has that helped Chance's defense?

Speaker 3 (24:17):
Yeah?

Speaker 12 (24:17):
Absolutely, man. I think red zone defense is like where
you really show who you are as a defense, and
I think what we showed is that you know, obviously
people can get down there, but being able to prevent
them from actually scoring.

Speaker 11 (24:28):
That's a lot.

Speaker 12 (24:29):
That's a four point swing and sometimes a seven point swing,
and if you're forcing a three and out or force
them to a field goal and they miss it. So
I think that's what it's all about it and we
just got to continue to keep there and try not
to let them get into.

Speaker 3 (24:38):
The red zone.

Speaker 1 (24:39):
You guys came out, you guys had your backs against
the wall, came out with these two straight wins. What
does that say about this team?

Speaker 8 (24:45):
It just shows you who we are.

Speaker 12 (24:46):
But I've never had any doubt in my mind on
who we are, and I've said it weeks ago, like
you know, I'm gonna optimist myself and just each and
every guy know the process that each and every guy
thought through and knew where we were gonna be, and
we knew it was gonna be in this position, like
how we're gonna respond after the by And I feel
like we're showing exactly how we're responding, and it's just
part of the process.

Speaker 11 (25:05):
There's just two and we're on our way.

Speaker 8 (25:07):
Too many more.

Speaker 14 (25:08):
Well, there were several instances where they had runners in
space and just sure tackling from you from Malachi, from
from a lot of the guys, just how proud are
you of the tackling effort?

Speaker 1 (25:18):
And see six points on.

Speaker 12 (25:19):
Yeah, absolutely, I think that truly defines a defense, like
how can you tackling space?

Speaker 3 (25:24):
How good of a tackling team are you?

Speaker 12 (25:25):
And I feel like we're a really good tackling team,
and obviously there's room for improvement, even like on that
one early in the game, I like, I was off
my feet trying to dive for the one with twenty
eight when he got like those extra yards, trying to
engage in the line and then get off and die
like little things like that being able to just stapen them.
But I just think it just shows the type of
talent that we have on the team and how each
and every guy are sure tackles and it just got
to keep improving. And then when you run to the ball,

(25:48):
that definitely helps out a lot.
