A 29 de março de 1974, o Coliseu dos Recreios encheu-se para assistir ao primeiro encontro da canção portuguesa. Estavam anunciados nomes como Carlos Paredes, Adriano Correia de Oliveira, Fernando Tordo e José Afonso, quase todos eles com músicas proibidas pela censura. No final, entoaram em conjunto “Grândola vila morena”, música de Zeca Afonso editada em 1971 e que escapou milagrosamente à censura. Dias depois, esta seria uma das senhas do 25 de Abril.
